Moving accounts!
Posted a year agoHi everyone! While I haven't been active here in some time now, that hopefully begins to change now. I'm moving over to OrlandoFox and will be starting to post my artwork and commissions there, as well as on Weasyl and Furry Network under the same username (OrlandoFox), to bring everything into sync with my Twitter page where I have historically been most active. I hope to see plenty of you over there!

Boy.. it's been a while. (Slight updates!)

It's definitely been a looong while again since I've thought to update this account. And I frankly can't say this may be the last time I easily let this place slip under the radar for me. But, just as a general update with things, I have still been around overall lately! These last few years have been sliiightly "eventful" for me. Significant changes with life and all continuing.
-I haven't been to a furcon since 2016 ironically, and I'm afraid I'm still unsure of the next one I can even attend, but I would hope to make it out to MWFF once again in some coming year (hopefully even as 'soon' as next year). Buuut..
-Pokken Tournament and it's community has also taken my attention a taaad more than furry stuff as of late.
-I moved to North Carolina a few months ago, so now my name's even more ironic than it already was when I was still in Florida. :'D
-Buuut, a primary thing I feel should be mentioned since I actually still seemed to get an occasional contact or two about it here-- I am open for commissions still, everyone! Twitter, even more than it had been from the start, had especially become my main place to post about commissions and the like, even to this day. But, I feel it would perhaps help to also make mention about it here too!
I even made a website almost two years ago, afoxdraws.com ! It should go over the general details of certain things, prices, examples, etc etc! And, while the holiday season maaay be a tad jumbled here due to some upcoming trips and my own need to seriously take a slight break soon, I am remaining open! And will most often update my commission status on Twitter!
If any further questions are had, one is more than free to ask below, or through notes and such if somewhat more private. :)
Again, I'm not sure if I actually will more keep up with this thing, even if I actually do want to try, but I felt the slight need to make mention here! Thank you so much to anyone and everyone that's ever come across my work and supported in some form or another in the past, or possibly even now! Commission work still has remained to be my primary source of income, and it's still crazy to me to think I'm still able to make enough off of freelance in such a way. I'll never be able to thank you all enough. <3

While I still, as far as I know at the moment, still have free time throughout my days, I'd actually like to open up for limited slots of commissions every so often! Gradually will work my way up to doing streams and such again as well. But for now, I'll start small and do these off screen.

(Note- may need to remove spaces from between periods in the links.)Hey there! I'm offering to sell my Cintiq Companion (the first model) here! Please do note, however, it seems to have a faulty battery, as charging this thing takes a bit of precise 'struggle'. One has to be finicky with the plug that goes into the charging port on the Cintiq; typically resting the edge of the device on the plug itself seems to have the best chance in getting it to actually charge, though occasionally it may work.

Regardless of when the orange light on the side of the Cintiq comes on or now, you *must* make sure that the battery icon is moving for a while/actually reads as 'charging' when hovering the cursor over it. It's not an insanely big issue when it's not getting difficulty, but it can either take a quick few seconds or quite a while to get working right. It is still capable of charging up to %100, though.
It's fairly difficult to see in the second image, but also in certain lighting, screen scratches can be noticed on the device. They're not really prominent/very noticeable when I draw with it, however. Scratches only seem to be more around the right of the screen, and somewhat the center, than anywhere else though. (Makes sense, as I'm righthanded. The big of usage I got from it seemed to have shown through.)
Aside from these likely deal-breaking factors, however, it's still a very nice device to work on. I've primarily used Paint Tool SAI on this, with Manga Studio 5 on occassion, and both work swimmingly. (I've also tried dabbling in Flash, ToonBoom, and TVPaint on it; all have worked well in pen pressure). Pen pressure/calibration is still had as well. To give slight show of it in a program (the 'Sketchbook' app in this case), I've also recorded this. -

-A Cintiq pen with it's case (and including a spare four pen nibs; total of five when including a nib already inside the pen).

-Screen cloth -TWO power supplies. (One from Wacom when I got this, then another I ordered from eBay months later when I initially assumed the first was the cause of charging problems. Yes, they both work, last I checked. But the first one still holds well.)
-The Quick Start Guide (although upon receiving, you may simply need to log into your own Microsoft account, as I've deleted all of my art files/personal download and account information from here).
-Accounts that I still have stored on here are seen in the last image.
And I'll be sure all this is sent within the original boxing, which (as seen) I still have here! Although, for better safe -than-sorry circumstances given the battery, I'll be keeping this device charging until I find myself in a position to send. :)

Just wanted to mention here that I still happen to have commissions open for the next few days (until Monday, Oct. 17 12AM EST, to be more precise).
I initially opened for them on Twitter about a month ago (just to kind of keep the potential queue I'd maybe get relatively small, given my limitations for myself.
However, it seems that it's settled relatively well, and with the way I happen to work, I'll more than likely have plenty of space open in case anyone has any interest!
In order to make sure said forms can get through; I no longer have a form limiter set! As a last home stretch, I'm allowing any inquiries to come through to me! Of course, that definitely means it still may take me a few days or so before I can reach you if you happen to submit one later, but at least the submission can be made!

PHEW, this thing's as dusty as my presence here. :'D Sorry about that everyone! But, time's sure flying for me! So much that I still have yet to fully embrace that Megaplex is next week (excited, couldn't go last year and thrilled to attend again), and IFC (for some reason just nervous about this, but anticipating) is about another week after that!
Thought to save trouble for double posts, I'd post everything here! So.. YEAH, THE DEETS I GUESS.
Where are you staying?
Main hotels for both MP and IFC!
What day are you getting there/how long are you staying?
For MP: Arriving Friday afternoon (first for me coming on this day, but couldn't get a room for Thursday) and leaving Monday morning!
IFC: Due to initial thoughts with school, coming Friday morning, leaving Sunday evening.
Who will you be rooming with?
Both MP and IFC I'll be with mom!
... And this is still be determined (may just delete this when plans get more confirmed), but my boyfriend may possibly try to attend for a day during the weekend of MP, so.. :)
Who will you hang out with during the convention?

About Commissions (Current and Future)

Sorry about yet another journal on this. I didn't think I'd be posting anymore, but this is definitely a bit of an urgent situation.
Waaay earlier this morning, I got an email from PayPal saying that my account is now limited of all it's features (including being able to send, receive, and even withdraw whatever I have in balance), as I'm not 18 yet.
I'm going to be contacting them a little later to try and see if I can still get what I currently have in balance transferred to my bank account still (which will hopefully be the case at the end of all of this).
But no matter what happens, I not have to look at an alternative means of accepting payment.
So far I've been recommended to check out Square Cash and Google Wallets as good alternatives. I think I'm leaning more towards Square, but I may still make a GW as an extra option for receiving payments from folks.
Just wanting to keep you guys updated about this. While I try to settle this out, responses for trying to get replies out to people may be delayed by a day or two.
If you cannot give payments through any means other than PayPal (or through any of the other two options I listed above), please let me know here and I will take your name off queue.
And I have my queue of commissioners listed here for those curious.
(I didn't want to make this spreadsheet before, as I do not at all intend to keep this updated, but those with a colored background in their names are folks I have already completed commissions for/am in the process of negotiating with. (Though, I technically have pre-planned rough sketches done up to slot 81, and them some, on my queue.)
But yeah! That's all I have to say here! I'll update this journal at a later time to let folks know what I ultimately decided to go with! (And of course, I'll also inform folks on Twitter!)

Alright! It's fairly possible that PayPal may still be my method for receiving payments! Momlando offered to make one later tonight and I shall have a Student account attached to hers. Commissions now Closed!
Posted 10 years agoYep yep! Just like the title says, commissions for any oncoming inquiries are now closed! (Er, at least they definitely have been since noon earlier today when the form automatically closed, hehe!)
Overall, I've had over 177 forms submitted to me, possibly double the amount of pieces to actually do, and I've manage to fully knock out over twenty forms from my queue (though am planned up to about ten more past those). I'll try to get to as many folks as I possibly can, if not everyone, by close to the end of my summer! (I may likely stop two or three weeks prior to when school is back in session, so that may be the early half of August.)
But again, concerning these waits, my TOS goes over these details. (I'd trust that these were indeed read and understood upon sending me a form in the first place, but hey, just to be safe. :) )

Nothing too major from me here! I just wanted to let folks know this before suddenly doing this to remaining folks without warning, but I'm deciding to send out invoices whenever I request payment from those that sent me commission forms.
No issue was had at all, but just to be more safe than sorry, it'd probably be better to have that sort of system set. <:)
However, in any case, I'd like to give a friendly reminder to folks that have sent me a form/plan to send me a form to please, please, please read through all of the text of the TOS on my form thoroughly. I like to think that it's not that long of a read, but it is very necessary. <:)
And to give further updates/reminders, it seems I have at least 163 forms submitted to me currently, and forms for any further submission will be closing this Tuesday at 12PM (EST)! If anyone who's submitted a form to me would at least like to know what number they are in this line, do not hesitate to ask! Though, given I'm only 'technically' up to form #21 in responses right now.. any higher number may be waiting a looong while to hear from me, if even (heaven forbid) at all. (And details on this are, again, on the TOS.)
But yeah! Don't think there's much else to be said here! Sorry for filling your inboxes with this, hehe! Last journal from me for a while again should be when I announce I'm closed on Tuesday!

The form can be found here! Simply fill it out as it asks and I will get to you when I can! And I do ask that you guys please be sure to read through the TOS on the form, as there are some things that are specified/reminding through this process. :)

Posted 10 years agoThis journal's probably a lil early, I know, but I wanted to bump the previous one out of the way, and since plans are actually going smoothly for this, I thought I'd finally mention it here too!
I need to see about getting our plane ride situated fairly soon, but aside from that, it's looking like I'll be able to attend Midwest Furfest this year (of course, as usual, with Momlando)!
However, because of this, I unfortunately won't be able to attend Megaplex this year (and of all years too, given this year's theme! ;;). This is gonna break my continuous streak of going for the past four years, but I've been saying for the past few years that I was going to go to MWFF while I still possibly could and this seemed like the year. I'm gonna miss all of you up there in Orlando. I can't thank you guys enough for putting extra fun into my summers for the past several years. I really hope I can find myself going again one of these years. <3
But, this is gonna be my first time gong, my first plane ride, first time in Chicago, first time suiting in actual cold weather (yesss), just... a LOT of firsts! And since this may most likely be the last convention I can see myself going to in the next couple of years (as I'm planning on attending college), I'm planning to make the most of it!

Posted 11 years agoThis probably isn't any peppier journal to follow my previous one a few weeks ago, but I feel the need to say that I do sincerely apologize for the fact that I barely open for commissions anytime out of the summer. And even then, I'm not open to stay open to accept new ones for more than two weeks do to too many of them that I receive.
It probably defeats the purpose when I don't open up throughout the year, and I know it even frustrates people that are interested to keep them waiting for so long, yet possibly not a commission done if I run out of time/slots in the summer. But, given school work taking up my evenings, I would prefer not to accept them, as I could not keep them as high of priority as homework. I also could not dedicate the majority of my day/time consecutively to work on pictures.
And a note on when I do make drawings, being them doodles or fully worked on pictures (whether of random characters, friends, even FPS art jams on Sundays), I do those because, to be honest, it's less... stressing for me.
Not saying that commissions aren't any less enjoyable than leisure drawings for me (because they really aren't aren't), but with the workload I sometimes find myself with, being able to draw for myself/others at my own free pace/time is a nice change of pace. <:)
I know some may say to accept limited slots on weekends as well, but, again, school work sometimes limits my free time. And even if I don't have any work that leads into my weekends/free days, I would like to have that bit of time to myself to relax, rather than have to jump into another form of work.

I'm really sorry if I've upset people for denying commissions for the factor that school work eats up my free time. I do try to open up for things here and there when I can, but it all depends on my time/ability/even my mood in my art. Just... the way I prefer to work is probably dumb. <X)
I am eternally grateful for all those that have expressed interest in wanting art from me, let alone sticking around with me for this long. I must thank you guys again and in advance for all the comments/thoughts I've received on my art (whether negative, positive, or anywhere in between). It boosts my confidence, my drive to keep going, and keeps fueling part of the reason why I keep drawing. I (as well as Momlando and my family in general) also appreciate the extra financial help that such interest helps bring in).
I hope to be more available as the years go by. Hopefully at least after I get out of school. <3

Nothing big I have to say here, other than wanting to thank you guys for these past few years!
This past year... heck, these past several months, some of the most moving, touching things have occurred to me that I NEVER thought would happen ever, if not in some far off future. Be it opportunities, chances, simply praise I've received from some folks, I have been insanely flattered at least once a month over something.
Apologies if I sound egotistical to name a few things, but to get some off my chest, I've been-
-Watched/praised from numerous artists/folks I look up (some even being in the art industry).
-Told from someone that a person who works for Disney said I have the potential to work there myself one day.
-Asked to do work for several conventions.
-Offered a position in the art department for a big-name convention (though had to turn down, 'cause legal reasons!).
-Receiving SO much interest in commissions (it's seriously almost overbearing...)
-And finally, what has to be the most important to me; given the chance to finally meet/see so many of you wonderful folks face to face for the first time/once again.
This past summer not only gave me the chance to improve myself art-wise, and having actually attracted the attention of folks I've admired for years is... very shocking, to say the very least.

I could go on rambling about every single thing that's happened to me this past year that still gives me such a big smile on my face, but I'm sure this journal is already getting more pointless than it probably started out. ^^;
But, I seriously must thank you guys for what I feel are my little 'successes' gotten so far. Without the support, directing back to my art pages, or even the numerous compliments (let alone gifts) I've received, I don't think I would have had the confidence to continue drawing from when I first started out. Looking back to it now, I recall times some part of me wanted to dumb art down to a mere hobby. I felt that not anytime soon would I ever get to a point where I could actually feel proud of a consecutive number of pieces I'd make at a time.
... Now, however, I've been finding myself continuously happy with at least one thing I may draw a day (even on bad art days, which tend to be often). I've been constantly influenced to create more each day. Several people have told me that they actually want to see my style be "out there" some day.
I... I don't think I'll ever be able to show my thanks to this fandom enough, and more so to you guys I've been blessed to gain such great friendships with. I would hope ya'll know who you are. <3
I know I haven't been able to create so much to post here these past few months (because of school and what I find to be my bad art days), but I'm insanely flattered and appreciative of you guys sticking with me still! I'll try my best to create more to actually post here and not just dump onto Twitter/Tumblr. :'D)

What with me finally getting around to finishing all my (online) class work, summer for me is finally here in full swing! Thus, I can also finally open commissions!
However, given the very small time left between now and Megaplex, as well as needing to finish other projects/things in the sidelines, I will only be open for accepting new commissions for the next week!
Hopefully, that'll be an okay amount of time for most. <:)
In any case, I also plan to do things quite differently this time around!

With the queue I had piling up for me, as well as the small amount of time I even have to work with it, I needed to close up earlier than I thought.

Hope all ya'll are doin' well! School is more plentiful in providing work these days, thus why I'm not usually able to open much for commissions anymore! BUT, while I've managed to have the time, I thought; why not!
SO, I'm openin' up for some icon slots here! As usual, at the $5 price! Only few, 'major' changed occuring this time around are that is you want shades and/or colored lineart, they're $2 extra for each, instead of just $1.
(Just thought I could upit a bit, as I think my art's gotten 'somewhat' better and they tend to be a bit more time consuming to add. <:)
