Honestly, guys, I've been so scared to speak up this whole time this is ridiculous.

Several month ago I've asked you all for help due to pandemic downfall. I've been renting an apartment with my best friend, but soon enough we broke up due to my PTSD. She invited her boyfriend to live in our one-room apartment, and I was okay for a while (it was middle of pandemic), but soon I've realized that I'm paying full rent from my pocket desperately trying to keep up with my fifth year of university with increasingly declining mental health while this boy is just... chilling 24/7 here for months, not paying rent. And I have panic attacks from his presence in my home.
It all came down when she invited her male friends to her b-day to our place. I've had my partying time and I don't indulge in alcohol anymore, I was completely sober with a bottle of beer, but in span of the night one of them sexually harassed me while the other (her boyfriend) started a fight with our neighbor. All blackout drunk. I was done with them by then, so I packed my things and moved out a week later.

Now I've returned to university's dormitory. It's a shithole with roaches and bedbugs and no kitchen, but I'm on my own! So I'm okay. I've made a lot of progress with my therapist, but now I have a thing that eats my time and brains out: this is my final sixth year of education, and I have a final project to make.
For the last eight years I've had it all planned out, but things happened, and all old scripts and concepts became irrelevant. Now I'm writing a graphic novel about what it takes us to learn how to ask for and receive help. It's a remotely personal story that includes themes such as coming out and sexual violence, and the first theme is quite dangerous to poke, there are cases of students getting kicked out from universities for supporting LGBT in my country. It's all due to the law about "propaganda", it's not that scary - a veeery expensive fine, not a prison thank god, but. You know. Kind of sucks to look for an attorney while you're just trying to graduate.
I decided to go on with it and censor all illegal themes just for graduation purposes. I really don't want to be kicked out, but I'm still planning to publish it one day in its original form. For now it's all settled between me and my professors (they were so supportive I've almost cried in zoom holy shit)

You may ask: Soroka why the fuck are you doing this being perfectly aware of consequences
Believe me I'm asking myself this question everyday, but also if you bend to fucked-up Russian law and publish whatever you want in any other country, you're okay.
It's just, I was so, so alone just two years ago, believing I deserved every shitty thing that ever happened to me, and I don't deserve any help. It took me an AWFUL LOT to get one. It's time to speak up.

Hello everyone, first of all, I wanted to thank all of you beautifull people for your support this past month! It means A LOT to me, I'm genuinely surprised to see how many of you reached out with any help you could give, it's a miracle for me.

I want to keep everyone updated on how things are going. Luckily I've managed current university duties and lowered the chaos around, so I can keep on with commissions in a stable schedule now. However, I still have one exam this friday on May 15, got news about it yesterday evening, things are a bit crazy, but hey, it's ride or die. Most of our exams got cancelled, but things like this just keep popping around and it keeps everyone on edge. Basically I don't believe a thing they say and I wake up in dread in the nights lmao but still, crazy and unpredictable are just our educational system's flair. I had five years to get along with it and one more to go.

I hope everyone is safe and you are doing well.

Long story short:
Due to pandemic my mom (tour guide) lost her job and won't be able to find one for unknown amount of time and my landlord refused to lower the price for an apartment I'm locked in. I have no other sources of income and only a month left to deside my future 'cause both my mom and grandma are in risk zone due to their ages. Also, russian goverment does VERY poorly with supporting citizens of small towns providing unemployment benefits in amount of 148 (!!!!!!!!) USD/month = 11000 RUB. It's unimaginably piny in ratio to increasing prices and I'm seriously worried about my small family.
Luckily I recenly recovered from five year long depression and ready to fight any obsticle on my way (what i timing huh)

Rn I'm looking for commissions to work on. As many of us, I'm in difficult position, and I wish you all to get through it with smallest damage possible.
