That additional BC story IS coming. I just needed to be in the right frame of mind to write it y'see.
Also... I kinda got delayed because something ELSE kinda amazing happened. Y'see - I now technically have a successful Youtube channel. I'm making MONEY on it.
So yeah. THAT is where I've been. Been being a Youtuber. ^^
(don't ask for it - I'm not gonna publicly link it for reasons. Probably at least one person I speak to on here who I would tell privately though, hope you know who you are. :P )

Posted 5 years agoWell, that's a new, short BC idea. Truth be told, it was there when BC2 was being written but didn't fit into the story I was telling.
It's one I think you'd enjoy even if it'd be much shorter, because it'd be more of the mess with less of a story.

Want to commission some art pieces

iron-k's IZ series know, about 10 years ago I wrote a little side story to the universe (with his blessing!).
With Project Otter now being worked on with the same main character, as well as Iron's recent release of the Zoniverse site... he's kinda made me realise that I should MAYBE get some art work of Cara and Ander at the very least!
So... anyone know an artist who'd be willing to work on such a pair of commissions? Send me a Note plz.
(one thing to keep in mind - these won't be WAM commissions. I want some nice commissions of them in their work uniforms... xD; )

I've not even gotten to the big final scene yet. My goal to make this one similar in length to the first Backstage Crew story seems to be in full effect!
But really though, it'll be whatever length it ends up being in the end. I hope you'll enjoy it.
EDIT: Okay, 11k and I'm writing too fast now. Gotta stop and then come back to add the detail I'm not writing now. ^^;;

Project Otter: Small Writer Issues
Posted 5 years ago- Keeping Cara's level of 'interest' and nerves balanced. It's not been that long for her, but it's been ten years for me! My attitudes have changed much more than hers have!
- Keeping the other crew's "tease" level at one that's consistent and less 'threatening' than Cara saw it in BC (yes, I remember that feedback about Alex, I agree now in retrospect...)
- Re-reading both BC and the IZ stories and I'm seeing so many little mistakes in BC now! Ten years too late! D:
- Not rushing the story to get to the good parts. Mind you, had this issue with BC too and like then I am making myself write out all the happenings! I have a standard to keep up!
-Finding places to slot in the small bits of world-building I've had ideas for but aren't that important to the story (there's two right now, I'll slot them in somewhere that hopefully feels natural).

Someone I Watch on here is going to open for a special sort of commission soon. I'm going to commission them for one slot, for someone else.
But I also want to get one too... it's just... I also don't know if I want it up on FA for all to see, or even if I'm not going to feel horrendously embarrassed by it.
It's nothing to do with the artist. They're fantastic at what they do, and as far as I've seen liked. The subject matter itself though is one that I've had a mixed past with and getting this specific commission will be a big jump for my finally being okay with it. It's not as if it's a secret I like this stuff either, it's all over my Favourites. x.x;
Anyone got any suggestions for what I should do to make myself feel easier with getting this second commission for myself? :/ I could use another POV here.

Sorry, life got in the way. The good news is that life is now not so intrusive so I can get to work on the story. Also, it's given me time to actually come up with and set a structure in place for the story to take, as well as come up with an actual concept for a 'series' based on an idea my co-writer had.
So far it's starring at least two new characters, one of whom might re-occur at some point, and will be very much more focused on what goes on offset to set up the show than BC1.

So. FA got compromised.
Thank god the mods care enough to have shut down the site quickly and make sure things were fixed... despite what some people say the mods care about FA and its users.
But my real point in this journal is that a few of my friends had details nicked and their accounts messed with because of some past 'crimes' they 'committed' against some people who frankly need to remember that they're not so damn important to the world and that really on the net you shouldn't believe everything you hear or read.
Stealing and posting someone's personal details online is NOT COOL people.
And for those of you who read this, know what I'm on about and say that my friends posted personal details first so they deserve it?
See above: don't believe everything you read or hear.
I was there. I saw inside where this supposed 'detail leak' happened. And you know what? I don't recall any personal details being posted up THAT WEREN'T ALREADY PUBLICLY AVAILABLE.
Besides, if leaking personal details online is a bad thing why did you do it to them? Doesn't make sense at all. I hate to say it but: Hypocrites.
Maybe some people who were involved did stupid stuff, I don't know. But I do know that doing this to a couple of people who can't control what their friends do online isn't a very mature or even logical thing to do.
And that's my piece on this matter. I shall say no more. Thank you for reading.
(And I know it's usually 'two cents'... but I'm British and therefore use Pounds and Pence instead of Dollars and Cents. :P )
