Hello again
Posted a year ago"...oh! My apologies... My Composer has been hard at work, going from place to place to find something he desperately needs for this next Thread he plans on weaving. It's been taking so long for him and, well, it'd be very rude of me to just take something he hasn't completed yet, so... The 21st came and went with nothing to show for it! Again, I must offer my sincerest apo--"
(gasp!) "My Composer! You're back! I was starting to worry for you...! Oh, you aren't hurt, are you? You were gone for quite some time. Did you find what you were looking for?"
...
"...it was in our garden this entire time??"
Hi! Last time I was here was around a month or so ago, and at the time I had finally settled down and quit my minimum wage job of cleaning, because it was massively draining and the new company at the site I worked at fucking sucked. Today, I'm happy to announce to all that I have a job once again, this time as a stay-at-home English to Spanish interpreter that pays much better than before. Unfortunately, between training and eventually nesting into the new job, I haven't had any time to properly sit down and write a story, which is why there was nothing on the 21st, like usual. Oops.
Anyways, now that I have this better job, uh, expect more from me, I guess? I'm still getting used to this, mind you. I might still take this month off as well, just in case I need some extra time to adjust.
See you until then!

...so anyways,
Posted 2 years agohappy new year 2012 :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)
Miraculously I am not dead, it's just that the job ate way too much of my time to continue doing anything, and also the minimum wage isn't enough for me to actually save for anything, surprisingly. Combine this with the messy management and it became clear that staying there was not an option. Thankfully, I have a new opportunity hopefully closing in and the end of my contract is on January, which means that, by then, I should have a better, closer job to home. Moreover, it seems like this year will see part of my family return to the house, and moving to Spain has now become top priority.
The really only notable things from last year was that I started talking more on Bluesky once I got invited there by my BF, and of course the new job after looking for one in the first half of the year. Everything else kinda felt like a blur. Even the stories I wrote here, which I do wish to go back to soon, there's still so much I've forgotten to write. Apart from moving to Spain, this will be my main goal, as well as picking up art again since I'm 1) now a lot more invested in it and 2) eager to also make my weird fetishes everyone else's problem.
I don't particularly like writing these posts anymore, I just thought it'd be important to give an update. I'll perhaps see you all again next month, once I'm free from my current job.

Important Update to the Important Update
Posted 2 years agoWell that didn't take long.
Here's the thing: I was going to do a 12 hour shift, but it was then that I very quickly realized the zone around the job site was not safe at all for the time I was getting out at. I would have to leave the area at seven at night, and it was not only eerily quiet but also dark enough for suspicious figures to lurk around without a care in the world. The immediate next day I went to my supervisor to ask about at least getting that shift down to 10 hours so I could leave work while the sun was still up, and while there weren't any 10 hour openings currently, he did thankfully slot me into an 8 hour shift for August, covering for another worker who was apparently going on vacation. Thus, this is how we end up to today, where I'm going to begin that shift tomorrow and hope that I can snag a 10 hour shift at some point.
So what does this mean for August? Well, I've decided to continue with my hiatus regardless of the new time I've gotten, as I think it should help me concentrate on the first month of work. I'm going to be using most of the money I earn to finally fix mom's seemingly eternal financial instability, and then I'll get her the laptop which should then open up even more time for me to write. As stated before, the monthly Experiment might still happen regardless of this break, but no promises.

Important Update
Posted 2 years agoThe good news first: I finally have a job!
But now for the bad news: As it stands, it's a twelve hour job where I'll come back home and not have access to the computer, as my mom uses it for her online classes, making doing anything gaming related, and especially writing, nearly impossible. With the money I get from this job I'm eventually thinking about buying Mom her own computer for these classes so that I could have my own space, but the catch is that, to get the best and cheaper options for Mom, I'd need to get a credit card approved with at least one receipt from this place. Unfortunately, this means I'd have to wait until the end of August at best... and you can kinda see where I'm going with this.
Starting next week, I'll be entering a month long hiatus, during which no Thursday Prompts will be completed. The monthly Experiment may still occur, but don't hold hope for that, either, as I'll really only have Sundays off to work on anything and everything I need to until I can get Mom her own computer.
Hopefully this month passes by quick, there's still so much left unwritten.

Posted 2 years ago"Well, this simply won't do. I was promised one thing but now you turn around and say it was actually the other way? That specific thing you told me to ignore because it wouldn't be relevant for now? And that you, in my face, told me as such? What complex mind games we play, I say..."
"Ugh, and I was so close to uncovering another piece of the Thread, too... Bah. I suppose these things happen for a reason. I'll play along with your twisted charade, just this once."
...all this to say that the next Experiments will release either VERY late tonight or tomorrow. Currently in a job interview, again, when I was anticipating having a free day today. It wouldn't be that bad if the interview wasn't two towns over from where I last recognize anything and I had eaten breakfast proper, but whatever. I'm already tired.

hi.
Posted 2 years ago...this isn't that apology video, but it is a final apology of sorts about what happened in the last couple of days. Yes, it is indeed me, The Fire Tiger, finally, and while Tienno gets a deserving break, I'd like to immediately state that I won't have this week's Thursday Prompt done, for reasons I'll get into shortly.
Anyways, we have an InkBunny now. This only serves as a repository for our stories and the absolute last resort I can (reluctantly) flee to if there is literally no other place for us to go to. As such, don't expect anything there other than our stories, and that's it. This will be the only time we explicitly mention this.
If you decide to go over there right now, you'll see we're slowly uploading our stuff one story at a time, but you'll also see that the thumbnails have a fresh coat of paint as well. This is the main reason why I'm skipping over this week's prompt: I have been focused on remaking those old thumbnails into something more readable, to accommodate FA's thumbnail-shrink-ray-inator and for legibility. So far, every thumbnail from The Thursday Prompt has been remade and all that's left are the Experiments, which I've also had to remake by hand because I never bothered to save the original files, thumbnails or images. Oh well.
I'm also uploading those new thumbnails here, and everywhere else I post my stuff, at the same rate that I'm uploading stories on IB. This is a nice tie-in to a small list of other places you can find us in:
Weasyl: https://www.weasyl.com/~thefiretiger
SoFurry: https://the-fire-tiger.sofurry.com/
Mastodon (SFW): https://meow.social/@TheFireTiger21
We have not made a carrd for this and, honestly, at this point I may as well just make our own website to serve as a crossroads for the other places we're in, so for now this is all I can share. I'm also thinking about opening a Furry Network page again, though that place looks massively abandoned (but at least it's a nicer looking story repository). Also, this is unrelated but how the hell do I have 1k views on each Weasyl submission when I barely break 100 here? What even determines a view there to begin with? Considering Weasyl is just as abandoned as FN I can only assume this is a bug that they've yet to fix, if they ever will.
Anyways, that about does it for now. Just being busy is all, now that I'm back and a little better.

Sorry for the emotionally induced absence,
Posted 2 years agoit will happen again.
Hello, it's... not actually the Human. It's Tienno, and I've been kinda stuck here for the past 24 hours or so while the Human tries to get himself up into the swing of things again. I guess in the meantime I should probably air out what the hell just happened in the three weeks that we were absent.
Just to not tell too much because 1) sharing sensitive stuff online is weird and I'm just now realizing this, and 2) the Human will be pissed at me if I say everything, the abridged version of the past month can be summed up as:
The Human almost got a job but was discriminated because of the autism, and also we're poor, did you know that?
Barring absolutely everything else I shouldn't share, the above statement is why we were gone after the release of Prelude. Since then, the Human has been, uh, "blinking" in and out of the headspace, as in sometimes he's there and sometimes I have to be there, which I understand and absolutely don't blame him for. I can only hope he can come back from this well enough.
Anyways, while we were gone, we, um, didn't do much. The Human absorbed himself in playing games while I tried to force his body to do something else productive but in truth, the most I could do was organize a little bit of the Human's music library and the most recent Thursday Prompt. I am cleaning his room as we speak, in fact. And it wasn't because I finally pushed him enough to do it, it was because L7 received the order from our Light to do so. Isn't depression just wonderful?
I'm gonna keep going right now until the Human finally comes to his senses. For now, though, that about does it for this update. Hopefully this rant didn't scare you off or whatever.

Skipping the Thursday Prompt this week for personal reaso...
Posted 2 years agoExactly what it reads on the title. Something happened on Friday and it impacted my mood heavily, so we couldn't do much between then and now. We'll probably go back to it at some point, but right now I'm concentrated on finishing an online class I missed out on and the next Experiments. Apologies.
Is this thing on?
Posted 2 years agoHi. I can talk. I don't have much to say, unfortunately.
