Not sure if this is a safe idea to voice my opinion on the matter.. But I've spent the last hour or so reading over peoples journals in regards to the ban of cub porn on FA.. I don't generally like being a middle man in situations like these, but I guess it's nice to discuss the different possibilities.

1) I understand that what people do for art, money or recognition should be entitled to their creative prowess.. but unfortunately fiction strives to be reality and in some cases, if someone can't retain a certain aspect of themselves in real life then they can get it out of their system in fiction... This can create a really dangerous situation where people could be tempted to act out on these feelings in real life - thus the reason for the law and bans in the first place.

2) Those who use the argument that they will lose money or recognition for stopping making cub porn should really evaluate their talents. By saying that you are only limited to a certain type of artistic ability just because it pays better is a sound economical standpoint - but you can't expect to increase your talents by doing the same thing over and over. If anything, looking at it as an opportunity to move into a different field of creative work would be a better source than abandoning all hope (so to speak).

3) Constriction of personal property, and regulations that prohibit certain viewing of materials is in place to protect younger viewers from seeing material that can become impressionable to them. I'm sure without a shadow of a doubt that there are at least hundreds if not thousands of FA viewers that are underage and have signed up for an account with the ability to see these images and not just cub porn but scat, vore, hard porn and other things... Just thinking in terms of me as a parent (and being a furry) it would simply make me cringe to the fact that my children had the ability to look at material before they are mature enough to process it, understand what's going on and know their sensitivity levels... A 15 or 16 year old seeing rape and vore may find stimulation to it, but not being exposed to the situation before could desensitize them making them unable to cope emotionally with certain situations if it did happen... Now I realize this is a really far-fetched statement and knowing how I was as a teenager and a lot of my friends and loved ones, it was handled differently.. but, there are still those people out there who would not know how to handle it in such a way... That rule was created to protect those people - because they are young and need guidance, therefor as older mentors, adults, and parents to these kids it's our responsibility to stop the content at the source.. The only problem with this statement I have made is that it could easily be traced back to many types of furry erotica... though sometimes I wonder if there should be stricter rules in terms of acceptance into a website.

All in all, my personal opinion is that the ban is necessary to keep certain vendors from dropping fur affinity and to keep patrons of FA from being exposed to certain legal ambiguities in the future... I just hope everyone can get off their huffy bikes for a second and just think about the complications that can result.

Though I agree with the rule that "If you don't like it, don't look at it." - as a business owner myself, I would agree that taking steps to save a business entity such as this (since it does act as a charity organization in some instances) would be wise to save all the owners of FA and users of FA any undue hardship in the future if our wonderful government decides to track us all down :P

Either way, I just hope those of you who are against it won't be mad at the moderators and administrators of FA and take your outrage to your local house of representatives, senators and governors.. Speak out for your own beliefs on censorship and regulations, one voice can carry thousands.

I won't be going this year due to financial difficulties and family issues.

Definately Oklacon.. Can't wait until Oklacon. >.< It'll be my only Con I'll get to go to this year, but it's certainly worth it. I'm not really a part of staff this year, just kinda volunteering I guess so that gives me the opportunity to enjoy the convention and the people.. I know I've had some issues with people who are going to be there.. I can just hope that people can see past some of these differences so that way we can all just be happy and enjoy the convention for what it is...

Oh and I can't wait until Furry Fiesta! I know that it's next year, but it will be the first time I really get to go and enjoy myself .. Last time I went it was 2009 and I didn't get the opportunity to register because I was a bit short on cash, but the staff at FF is very fun to be around and I enjoyed the atmosphere!

I just need more cons in my life... I really enjoy the people and the environment and it gives me a chance to escape..

We'll see how it goes! But as for now, I'm excited for Oklacon and I can't wait to see everyone there. =) I've missed a lot of people.

Well, so far everything is going well at DirecTV. I enjoy the business as a whole and it makes me feel a little better about my last 2 previous call-center experiences... though I am still working hard on my personal business because ultimately I would like to be my own boss (as I'm sure everyone does...)..

Anyhow... How is everyone else here doing? I know I don't keep in contact with people as much as I should, so drop me a line or something =) It would be nice to hear from people..

Well, after weeks and weeks of looking I think I finally have a snag or a bite on some jobs! First off, DirecTV wants me to come in for an interview today (later on rather...) and ALSO H.P. may be calling me back soon ^_^ Which would be my more preferred position, BUT beggars can't be choosers.

Also, trying to find someone to do my mate's initial character drawing...So if anyone has any ideas just let me know =)

I freaking hate it when my phone messes up when I'm trying to text and then all of a sudden I get 10 texts in a row from a frantic person on the other end wondering if I had died or something.

I really want to just be safe and stable.. and make all my friends happy too.

O; Sorry for all the internalized rationalizations there, Just trying to put my thoughts and feelings out somewhere even if it doesn't make sense to anyone else XD

So.. I've came to realize that a lot of people have their journals all spiffed up and looking pretty awesome.. XD I'll get to that at some point.. but otherwise~ for those of you who don't know, I'm diabetic, Type 1. I was diagnosed with Pre-Diabetic symptoms when I was 8 years old and a full diagnosis by 12 because my Pancreas doesn't produce "beta cells" which are vital in the production of insulin and blood glucose balance in your body... Aside from all the medical stuff, I'm essentially considered "Juvenile diabetic"

So, I went to the doctors office today because I had been on pump therapy for the past 2 years. Unfortunately because of my job and socio-economic status the past year, I haven't been able to keep up payments with the pump or the supplies as it was averaging me about 600$ a month.. So, I had to give up the pump and go back to regular insulin therapy.

So, I'm sick and queasy right now, trying not to vomit all over my keyboard because my body is trying to adjust to the new types of insulin.. but it just makes me feel super lonely, I absolutely hate being alone when I feel sick.. Agh. Well, regardless of the emotional rant, everything should be fine in a few days to a week.. Just gotta feel sick for a little bit, and then I'll get back to normal.

So.. I'm trying to find someone to put some music to any of my lyrics..
If you know anyone or you are someone who can compose music of any sort, acoustic, piano, or otherwise.. lemme know because I'm trying to put something together!
