Two years of drawing!
Posted 6 months agoToday is a special day: two years ago, on 19/04/2023, my art tablet has arrived in the mail. I have never drawn up until that point, so that was the day I began my journey as an artist.
This hobby itself is very difficult. It requires enormous time investments, incompatible with any sort of full-time job or career, to become only okay, and then there's an even more difficult path to become good. I have no talent for this at all, and effort is not there either (or to be more accurate, my effort is instead pointed at my primary goals in life), so it probably isn't for me, but I try anyways.
There won't be a celebratory art post: last week I was playing Palworld (excellent game, it was very fun and my Lovander was horny), and this week I'm trying out Last Epoch with its new season, and also having a great time. In parallel, there's also important real life stuff going on, so in conclusion, no art for now. My 2025 New Year's Resolution was probably also too optimistic. We'll see how things go - life is an unpredictable thing, even more so in this very challenging year.

Taking an art break :(
Posted 2 years agoHi guys! I will not be drawing or uploading anything in the next 2-4 months. This includes my other accounts.
My real life has recently taken a really bad turn. It's career-related. I was consistently following my goal - drawing for at least 3 hours per day - up until right now, but my real life situation is changing, and now I really need those 3 hours for other, more important purposes. I will still enjoy others' art and participate with likes/comments, but there won't be any of my own art.
I will eventually recover and return. But for now I really need to take this break. Need to work on the actually important things first. Not much fun in being a furry when you're poor and miserable.

End of ArtFight update!
Posted 2 years agoHi again! I have many news, and it's time for another update.
Firstly, ArtFight is over! I really enjoyed the process and its results - and so did my attack recipients! A great success. I made a total of 9 attacks and received 3 back.
I started drawing (at all - not just furries) very recently, so my goal for this event was limit testing. What can I do relatively confidently, what do I struggle with, what completely stops me in my tracks? I got the answers I needed.
Which means it's time for an art progress update! I have a family friend who is an artist, university education and all. I talked to her about this, and she introduced me to so-called "industrial resources" and explained how to learn from them. I got to avoid most of the expenses, and she even said she can give feedback as needed. With all that, I have a pretty well-defined improvement plan. My growth will not be quick, but every process done right takes time. It also doesn't hurt that I enjoy it!
Also, it's worth mentioning that 10000 unique users have now seen my FA profile. That definitely makes TheFuzzyFloof more popular than his counterpart from the boring human universe. Speaking of which, by the way, I have also secured my Eurofurence attendance - see you there!
Thank you for your attention. I am grateful that you are there for me. Soon there will be many, many more of you, but I will remember those who believed in me when they had no objective reason to.

5000 views!
Posted 2 years agoHooray! I'm glad so many people decide to check out my page! It's at least 98% from popular artists' comment sections, but oh well.
I'm still learning furry art and still loving every minute! I'm busy with ArtFight this month, and after that I'll probably go looking for more deterministic ways to improve my art. For every new thing I learn, there are two more to learn, and it's becoming overwhelming. However, it already feels amazing to look at artwork I made myself.
Have a great ArtFight! And actually, drop your link in the comments, too.

2000 views!
Posted 2 years agoWow, I barely even drew anything yet and I've already had a popularity milestone! I would draw something to celebrate, but I'm currently busy with an art of a recently released (and very hot~) character. I'll prepare for 5k views, or 100 faves, better - in advance! Now let's hit those two.
Eurofurence partners up with UAnimals!
Posted 2 years agoThe basics:
Eurofurence is the most popular non-US furry convention (eurofurence.org)
UAnimals is a Ukrainian animal rescue/welfare charity (uanimals.org)
Eurofurence have just announced that UAnimals is their chosen charity for EF27, this year's convention.
With how the furry community is reluctant, and even afraid, to bring up the Russia-Ukraine War - or even worse, react with variations of "don't bring drama/politics into this" when the topic is brought up, this is a groundbreaking decision, and I am grateful to every EF administrator involved.
More importantly, Germany (Eurofurence's country) has a large share of putinists and Russian nationalists, and in some places they even grow brave enough to voice their opinions publicly. The choice of a Ukraine humanitarian relief charity is a major slap on their face and a victory for the much larger pro-Ukraine, pro-Europe, pro-democracy group in Germany and other countries.
What does this mean to you? Obviously try to attend this year's Eurofurence if you're able - 3-7 September 2023. This year both the dates and the pricing are on the uncomfortable side, but now that there's an additional reason to go, I, at least, will do my best to attend.
This post is probably a good place to mention that I'm looking for someone to split the accommodation costs with. I'm going to find a place far away from the convention hall to avoid the astronomical prices of convention-suggested hotels - I'm not a fursuiter and can move freely around the city using public transport. Send me a note and we can try to figure something out.

Artists with Boosty are DNI
Posted 2 years agoThis has been on my mind this whole time, but now I've finally decided to take a stand. If you have your Boosty in your FA profile, I'll not interact with you in any way, and you may not interact with me.
Boosty is a Russian service positioning itself as a Russian version of something like Patreon or Ko-Fi. It's owned by a subsidiary of the Russian government, and charges creators (artists etc.) a fee for receiving/processing transactions. If you put two and two together, it's not hard to figure out what you are funding if you are using Boosty to receive payments. It's the same event that made all other payment sending/receiving services unavailable in Russia. That event is still ongoing.
I don't judge anybody for their nationality or place of birth, but funding an ongoing invasion of my country is too much for me. It should be too much for you too: never use that service to pay an artist - even if they do use it, insist on another payment service.
