So Ive been working my way through the geeky bartender and I wanted to get you folks opinion on what you might like to see going forward

I've still got quite a few cocktails in to go.

I think I'm going to skip the recipies that are just a regular cocktail like its got a White russian from the big lebowski and 6 gummie bears and some scotch theses are just regular drinks I'm also going to skip the ones that include ingrediants we don't like or that have me get a whole bottle for one drink so nothing with absinthe or a heavy wine base

plus for food I have the necromunchicon and its party snacks like Cultist delights (chocolate dipped bacon wrapped cheesecake bites) and Carni-smores (bacon wrapped steak bites smotherd in seasoned butter cooked over an open flame)

So If you saw my post about the christmass cheesecakes I mentioned his moms funeral.

Well that was today and it went really well, we get home and about 2 hours later we get a call.
An aunt who had come up dor the funeral and who me and the fox had both spent a number of days arround just tested positive for covid. and since she was staying at the fox's fathers house he went to get tested too and yeah hes positive as well so thats 3 folks with it and 3 folks I spent alot of time arround recently, hell we hosted a dinner party for them yesterday.

I'm still testing negitive though I have the start of a sour throat, but that could just be stress.
Pluss and the the fox is now worried for his dad who is elderly and already has breathing problems and has to carry portable air

LOL I was playing Stray and Deb our cat was pestering me but she wouldn't hop up and sleep on my belly like she usually did. She would walk in look at me and meow and leave. so around midnight I get a call out from the next room "Baby she's giving birth" and my fox sounded defeated. so I ran in scooped up the blanket she was on the damp little ball of fur and went into the office. Momma came running acter the little meow meow and I set up there nest in the tank. We then got two more kittens a gray and two gingers. I was up for three more hours watching her she was purring babies were nursing and I felt it was over... 3 kittens aren't to bad. and I fell asleep next to the tank at 4:30... so around 5 am I'm woken up by a chorus of new mews. I look in and there are 3 more kittens, 4 hours between kitten 3 and 4 so I check making sure everyone was good, we have 2 gingers, two grays, a beige and what might be a black and white kitten... still to damp to say for sure. Moms fine, going strong and all the babies are nursing.

Welp up date on the car...

okay my mom lent me enough money to pay off the title on my dead smart car, I then went to the bank and got a loan to buy my moms car from her... so I own the bank 7k and my mom 6k (yayyyyy)

I then took it to get its oil changed 3 days before x-mass... I drove it home and it died.

turns out the mechanic drained the transmission fluid by accident, then when he noticed his mistake drained the oil and didn't bother putting anything back in the transmission. they come to my house on Christmas eve add fluid and I test drive it... that's good on them. I take it back into them and they redoo the work to make sure nothing was seriously messed up. I drive it back home and half way there it starts to shit the bed again. I turn right around and zip back to them. I sit in the waiting room for two hours.

Okay so they are taking it to a certified subaru mechanic now since they don't do tranmission work. its there fault this is all on them, they offer to set up a rental but since it xmass eve nothing s open will do so after the holiday but I do get a cab ride on them.

I call them monday, claims is closed, okay no worrie, I call tuesday okay we will write you a check for a rental car while we get your car fixed and over knight it to you. Yay... at this point I'm really impressed by how on the ball and honest these guys are being. that was a week ago, the check never showed up, he never sent me the tracking number, and I have called 5 times since and not heard back, also no updates on my car, last I heard the subaru mechanics were still waiting to hear back from the oil guys insurance too.

so I've now been with out my vehicle for over a week. I know its not the end of the world but shit man thi fucking sucks

As some of you might have seen 2 months ago I posted pictures of my sweet car. I loved my little clown car. It was awesome the first car I did all the research on, the newest thing I'd ever owned. It was sweet.

So when the check engine light came on, and the motor started acting up I called the dealership I bought it from. After all the first thing we asked is if they would service it since they were 15 miles away, they said yeah no problem. I call them up this time and they said "nope not gonna touch it"

Well fuck

so I had to get it to the official smart dealer 66 miles away... I caught a little break when when I found out my insurance covered towing... up to 20 miles so even before anyone looked at it I was 170 bucks out of pocket. but then I find out from the tow truck driver that the towing brackets missing from my car... that's not good. Diagnosis fee at the dealer another 135... But oh well they are gonna find the problem and fix it and I'll have my car back soon.

I get a call the next day... yeah we found the problem there was a misfiring piston and its warped the shaft we need to replace the whole engine which costs 15000 dollars... I've had it two months, I replaced the oil to be sure its in good shape and find out there was a systemic problem (the tech I spoke to at the bmw dealership said this was going on for a long time) that the dealer never disclosed which fucking doomed me from the start.

what a fucking shit show... I still owe over 5000 on this car, my insurance can do nothing, the bank cant help me and the dealership doesn't care cause it was past its shitty ass warranty now (a warranty that said they wold only cover half of any repair anyway and only if they could do them) so that's it I'm fucked with just one more pile of debt on my head that amounts to nothing at all. I contacted a family member who is a lawyer and he aid he can issue a legal letter and send it to the dealer but legally that's it there is no lemon law that would cover this and I tried contacting the better business bureau but havent heard back from them

I did find out I could get a used smart engine for maybe 2-3 thouand dollars but I don't have that cash

my only hope is the dealership will give me a few hundred for the damn hulk and I can atleast cover my bills with them

I just got hired as a line cook. Its just at a local collage working the saute station. but still its a professional kitchen job...

I was talking to some folks at my bad movie group

we were complaining about the movie and talking about what we'd make, I suggested a sword an sorcery epic war story of the barbarian like smurfs armed with axes and spears mounted on there trained dire rabbits going to war against the snooty Kebler elves (they act like tolken elves) who attack from the trees mounted on squirrels and humming birds.

one person suggested the war would be better between the Smurfs and the Gnomes (of David and the gnomes) since they would be ground armies, allow for more animal mounts and there would be more reasons for them to war then with cookie making elves.

I see the smurfs being good fighters with powerful drudic magics from papa smurf (and Tinker acting like a made ork med building wooden power armor for himself)

The Elves being agile nimble fighters with good long range weapons and air superiority

The gnomes being physicly stronger then smurfs but with weaker magics and more technology


One reason I can think of for the war between Smurf and Elf is to the smurfs are striking back against the elven raiders who plunder there smurff berry patches

Against the gnomes it could be similar The gnomes are striking back in retaliation for smurf raiding parties targeting Gnome women for smurf brides.

What do you think would be a better story?

Maybe I could do a battle of 3 armies kinda thing... with each army coming together to fight, then forced to team up when gargamel leads an army of trolls to the battle

while Its fiction I did wonder how meat would would sit in a herbivores digestive tract and found out ... Quite well acually
It seems that there are very few pure herbivores out there

It seems lots of our placid grass munching freind are secretly wishing for something a little more meaty

Deer have been seen eating birds, rabbits, other deer and this is by scientists. I read an anecdote of a doe crashing a barbacue and eating steak fresh from the grill.


Elephants have been known to dig up human corpses and eat them, and there was a incident where a elephant killed a woman and ate her clothes and all.

squirrels, rabbits, cows, horses, hippos, all have been known to eat meat, and this isn't like accidentally like getting a grass hopper while chewing leaves, this is systematicly targeting and gulping down a meaty nugget because they can.

Squirrels wage wars where males can end up castrated, and babbies devoured by the winning side, hell there is even a tropical tree squirrel that is supossadly known for hunting down full grown deer, slitting the throat, and chewing its wy inside to devour the animals heart...

Scieniests say that it might be lack of iron, salt or calcium in there diets that make them do this, but others say they like it just as much as any other food, but they don't get it that often o they take full advantage of the opportunity when it presents itself

I'm saddened to say that Sir Terry Pratchett has passed away today.

He was diagnosed with Alzheimer year ago and arrainged to die with dignaty. as sad as I am hes gone I'm glad he left on his terms

He died in bed, surrounded by his family and his cat.

I can only hope that when he went he met the grim Reaper of his own creation

Just a sad little note. Our flock has suffered its first loss

Sweetpea died today. In the last 3 days we noticed there was something off in her behavior. She wasn't moving about as much and preferred to sleep in the nesting boxes. For a girl who was proudly positioned on the highest roost the night before this was odd. When the yesterday I did some research and we determined she was egg bound. This is a situation where a chicken can't pass an egg. Maybe it's because it's two big, or she's two fat, or stressed, or doesn't have enough calcium but since a chicken only has one opening if that egg blocks it off other stuff starts to build up behind it.

We did everything we could to save her, and the good thing is she seemed to know we were trying to help. She took her olive oil and epsom salts and seemed to get alittle better. And she really enjoyed the warm bath. Both seemed to help it was pushing stuff through. But it was during the bath she passed. So she knew we cared. It seems silly to be upset over the passing of a chicken, they have such short life spans but we love our birds, and she's our first. We knew we may lose some to winter or animals but that doesn't make it easier. We'll learn from this, in hind Site there were less obvious symptoms we missed, but now we know what to look for and hopefully this particular loss won't happen again.


And no.We didn't eat her. Laying hens are fairly tough and stringy, pluss with the way she passed there is a chance of bowel rupture wich would contaminate the meat. Never eat a sick animal

I had a strange thought

do you think the Fallout universe could be the precursor to The war hammer 40K universe...

Like I said my brain is a weird place but it kinda makes sense. They do both have that constant war theme going for them. The FEV that makes the super mutants being the precursor to the gene mods that lead to the astartes. The Brotherhood already has primitive power armor, as well as primitive las and plasma weapons, and Chainswords, and thunder hammers in the forms of Rippers and super sledges.

We know that there are aliens interacting with earth in fallout several different types have been spotted, and there are even supernatural events that can be linked to several strange encounters not the least of which is in the dunwhich building in fallout 3.

Ghouls might be under the influence of warp taint, not to mention the other horrors that wander the wastes. simple radiation can't account for fire breathing giant geckos, deathclaws, and other monsters. Heck maybe FEV was a genetic experiment derived from ork genes? That might explain the blood lust, green skin, Why males and females look alike, the sterility, the fact that the more they fight the bigger they get (abominations).

Maybe some where in the irradiated wastlands in a vault some where the imortal emperor of earth is waiting. Heck Maybe he was behind the Legion in new vegas, or could he be pulling strings in the ncr, Or maybe hes one of the secret elders in the brother hood of steel

I'm sitting here finishing the left over sweet and sour pork over potatoes (recipient coming soon) and I noticed my best and tastiest sauces are brown and Grey gooey stuff.

Christmas is going to be a schizophrenic mafia don with 2 distinct personalities, Chris the warm hearted philanthropist with interests in a large number of businesses city wide and X cynical one out to make a buck at any cost shilling shallow pleasures to the masses and over seeing the criminal enterprises, or maybe they should be brothers.

Valentine is a rival criminal syndicate muscling in on the Mas turf with her hitman Cupid,

I'm thinking of making Mothers day either into a hooker with a heart of gold, or a madame it could work both ways Thanks giving might be the police chief, a big fat guy looking for the easiest solution prone to afternoon naps

I kinda wanna pull in a hitman named Sandman, and Labor day be a mafia leg breaker, and i don't think it'll stick strictly to holidays (since I have mention sandman, cupid and tooth fairy) but it could be fun

Well I'm still working on my armor, grinding down edges and such but I thought about trying some thing different

I like steampunk alot but I'm not good at the Victorian esthetic thats so popular in the genre. So since my first major exposure to it was through the mad science of the Weird West RPG games I figured I'd stick with that (which is odd since I don't really like westerns much... cept for blazing saddles) , And I need a good hat, My bowler and my toppers might fit (well less my top hats) But I paied too much money for them to modify them on a whim. Plus they don't fit my ideas (but I do love my bowler, I need more reasons to wear it) so I'm going to try to make a hat myself.

My father left me a nice leather gaucho hat thats a perfect design, wide brim, flat top, I love that hat (so no moding that either) but Its a great one to base my new design off of.

I'm going to try felt first simply because it'll be easier to get, and if I can manage to make a good hat I might try to make a leather one for a final

recently after watching several of the nostalgia critics vlogs about the avatar series I decided to revisit the cartoon

I loved the show and still do but I had missed huge swaths of story when It came out most so I decided to rectify that.

The thing is one of those episodes I had missed was tales of Ba Sing Se, and second story in that one is Iroh's tale and dear god is it good. it puts so much emotion into a small 5 minute piece. combined with the voice actor its just a heart wrenching ending. But on a second viewing as much as I love that story, and as funny as it is in parts it made me cry almost right from the beginning. When Iroh starts to sing, its in the second viewing you already know the significance of the song, and you have to know that he had to have sung it that same way many times before when he was a much younger man and in a similar situation.

Well I was dubbing around and had a thought based on magic

When creating a new magic type just adds the word mancy to the end of something... I literally read a book that had magicians practicing Geekomancy, and Bromancy...

It's a trope. you can check out Tv Tropes under Whatever Mancy just don't blame me when you wake up 3 hours later to find out that what you've lost to that time sink

Anyway I had a thought on a type of modern magic I might have to write a story about and I am going to use the Mancy name cause it sounds cool to do so.

Mechromancy...

Its something of an uncanny ability with machines.

It's lowest level will allow you to operate a broken machine. This won't fix it, in fact forcing it to keep going will cause more damage to it in the long run but. you can make it work when it shouldn't. Your cars engine seized up, you can still drive it with a little magical force but that engine is gonna be nothing but slag once you stop.

Now it would also let you heal the machine, this isn't the laying on of hands and everything becoming better healing. its actual repair work like you'd get at a mechanic (hence why you might push it rather then healing in an emergency) but you can make a repair even if you don't have the right parts... Your laptops mother board is fried and needs replacing.... well hmm the circuit board from that speak n spell at the pawn shop looks like it would fit. one repair ritual later and you laptop is running as smoothly as ever. basically if you have something that looks about right be it a little to big, alittle too small, no mater what the replacement parts original function the magic will make it the right part for the job.

you'd also be able to enhance machine to get performance out of them that should not be possible. You stranded on a desert island with a single palm tree for shade and your cell phone shows zero bars.... with a little magical kick you've 4 g connectivity and a direct line to search and rescue services

Skilled practitioners can build things that should not work. Want a robot, build a man shaped object out of pistons and gears, wire everything together with circuit boards and battery packs. the magical ritual will fill in the gaps and turn it into a terminator. as long as it looks like it could function the magic will make it function.

the best can literally summon the tech they need. in need of weapon, toss together a pile of scrap in a ritual space cast your spells and reach into the junk to pull out a fully functional laser gun. What you can summon would depend on the type of scraps you have on hand. for a laser you'd need electronics, wires diaods, with a big enough pile of old tires and car parts you could summon a get away vehicle, or hell if your stuck in a cave with a box of scraps you might even wind up with a suit of power armor...


what do you folks think. might make for an interesting story character, or a game mechanic

Its called the Kuratas
It's 4 tons, and 13 feet tall, and the current model has Gatling guns that fire bbs (I'd have gone with paint balls myself)

Its top speed is just over 6 miles an hour though and even it's creator says it really has no real world applications

Hello all I was thinking, and this has been something thats been on the back burner for a while, what do you folks think about a possible weekly audio show

I'll do a test recoding soon and flesh out the script before I start but it would be done in the format of transmissions from an enclave of survivors during a zombie apocalypse. sort of them sending out messages hopping to learn of the world, share there knowledge.

I figure ten minute reports could be done easily

this wouldn't necessarily be a furry project, and I'm not sure I'd be able to host it hear but it could be fun.

and It won't be an ordinary zombie uprising these are my own special breed with my own rules.

I've decided to redo it

the random little armor plates I had tacked onto the vest rather goofy. My next design will be a furred under shirt in my normal coat color and white belly fur, I plan to have armor chest and belly peices comming through the fur with some tan faux leather around the edges like the interface of metal and skin parts so scared fur never grew back.

Over that I'll wear a vest of some sort open at the front to show the machined partsI might armor that vest using custom cut peaces of painted cloroplast but that will look more regular.

It's weird I like building stuff... I also like building stuff with trash.

recently I found a wheel chair in some ones trash. I've been looking for one for months (they make great computer chairs.) so I snuck out at night an liberated it. In the process I found out why they were throwing it out and sliced open two fingers (darn plastic arm rests). but 2 bolts 1 nut and a bout 14 washers and it's level and sturdy, I've been using it for a week at work now. so last night I was board and too an old office chair removed the arms, and gas piston, reattached the arms and made an under office foot stool. sure it's not complex but it feels good and it was using stuff I already had.

I'm alittle crazy I think I save things I should throw out because I might find a use for them I've been working on the camera systems for my each every day I think up something new I can put in there, or slap together but I never have the time to do all I want.


the thing is building sometihng from scratch is fun but some how Kitbashing something unique together from discards is more satifying. making something that looks cool out of junk. hell even just making something practical out of junk


Like for work I needed a riser for my monitor, I snagged to card board truvia dispenser boxes, side by side they are the perfect hight and the drawer fronts make a conveniant filing system, One's still full up truvia for my tea but the other has my vpn ip address, and contractor codes should I need them as well as a few phone number, and my lunch break timer, pluss setting my cell to vibrate and setting it on top gives me a nice buzzing noise that can't be heard while I'm on call and ensure I never miss a message

I now it's been along time since I did a journal. Hell it's been along time since I did anything on FA not related to the  faccc but then again cooking is one of my true loves. I love cooking and writting, Gods I wish I could get paid to do either

Anyway I intead to be a bit more active here. and one part of that is I'm going to start writing at least one journal a week. Part of this will be to keep track of my weight problem (A side effect of loving to cook, is for me loving to eat) and what steps I'm taking to correct that. The end of fat bunny week seemed the apropriate time to make such an announcement

I also want to get back into my furry cook book, I have a few sample pages done and a ton of art for it, (I could probably use more but more on that later)

So while I was never really away I do intend to be around more often and hopefully I won't be boring

I have the weirdest cat

He loves it when I cook and not just meat dishes but Ive caught him eating cookies, cakes and last night he ate pancakes. I had a plate of pancakes and set 3 aside for the step dad while I nomed on my 3. and while no one was looking my cat Salem ate 2 of the pancakes, unbuttered, and unsyrupped

he also loves veggies in fact he turned down baby back rib in favor of peas...

he's a weirdo

My first is of course the swedish chef but I think second place belongs to Gaffer.

Gaffer was the one eyed Cat usually seen hanging out back stage of the muppet theater but she did occasional make it on stage. Here is one of Gaffer's big scenes as the leading char in "The cat came Back."

I don't know what it is about Gaffer I like so much, probably the happy go lucky attitude but man how can you not love her, look at the way she grins at you going past the camera. I'm gonna see if I can find an appropriate kitty plush and I'll make it into a Gaffer plushie.

That show was amazing, Henson and his whole crew were brilliant, I loved everything they did from the muppets to the short lived story teller series to the movies like monster maker. but the muppet show is something special.
