POSSIBLY any of these off base or even fresh design trades if an adopt/design offered is hella
What I am looking for are... ah.. probably designs from more popular adoptable artists. (I especially have eyes out for Nus, Purrailless, or Coynu/Nonoel adopts) But I'm not limited to these, so feel free to offer up whatever! Understand that I am.. really picky... jfkd;s I only like designs w/ mostly human faces--an animal nose is about as far as I'll go.

By adopting from me, you are agreeing to the following conditions:
1. You may repost your adoptable to your account, but source must be included.
2. You may make changes to your adopt, including small color shifts, marking, hair, name, gender changes, etc--but please don't make drastic design alterations. I require the adoptable still be recognizable to the original design. If you are not sure on your edits, please check them through me first.
3. It is not required to source me more than once for the design. It is appreciated, though, if you note the species belong to me. Again, not necessarily required, but appreciated.
Selling/Trading/Gifting:
1. If reselling your adopt; You may resell for no more than the original price paid UNLESS including commissioned artwork. For example, if you buy an adopt for $25, and buy a $25 commission of it, as well, you can then resell your adopt for $50. This allowance does not include personal artwork, trades, or gifts; commissions only. Please make sure to check an artist's commission ToS before reselling to include commissioned artwork, as some artists do not allow their work to be resold with adopts. To buyers: I strongly suggest you request proof of purchase or double check with artists for prices before agreeing to buy an adopt that is priced up for commissioned work.
Paid for adopts may be resold/traded/gifted freely.
2. For traded adopts; Adoptables obtained in trade may only be traded or gifted, regardless of commissioned work.*
3. For adopts obtained as a gift; Gifted adopts may NOT be sold or traded. You may only give them back to me, or gift them along to another.
*Between the dates of May 6th and July 22nd I allowed for one who had traded for an adopt and then later bought a commission, to partially resell to include price of commissioned artworks (for example, A traded an adopt to B, B commissioned a $25 piece, then B could resell the adopt for the $25 they paid for the commissioned work). I've been a bit on the fence about this, and have decided to go back to the original trade/gift only rule. I don't want to invite trouble, and I feel removing this is best. However, any adopts purchased between the dates of May 6th and July 22nd are exempt from this ToS change and may still resell trades for the price of commissioned work (assuming artist ToS allows), BUT I would prefer you didn't and would appreciate it if you follow the current ToS standards.
If I catch you breaking these rules, there is a chance of being blacklisted.
Species listed here are NOT open adoptables. You may NOT create your own. Please do not hassle the buyers for the designs, either.
You do not have to follow any of the canons when purchasing one. It is simply there for something to work with/build from for those who are interested. :)

Blakryes are a race of lightning aligned creatures who specialize in rune magics. While all are skilled in the manipulation of black lightning, individuals usually only practice one or two different elements besides. Blakryes are very passionate creatures. They have an inherent curiosity about the world and love to learn and see new things, though they can tend to be easily manipulated or gullible.. These creatures love contact and closeness and are very cuddly. For these reasons, Blakryes are noted as a subservient race and are popular as "pets" within certain social circles. As their tails are made of lightning, they can be a bit abrasive and shock anyone who tries to touch it/them. Their tails only hurt those they wish it to, though; if allowed, touching a Blakrye's tail would be much like touching something that gives a pleasant tingle.
Notable physical traits:
//All Blakryes have tails made from black lightning. While the currents displayed are devoid of color, Blakyres' tails have a unique property of projecting color auras. Notably, the projected colors are the same as their brightest markings and skin/innards coloring (such as inside the mouth, nipples, etc)
//All Blakryes have naturally black hair, as devoid of color as their tails.
//Blakryes have paw pads on both their feet and hands.
//Often their nails and claws are black, but this is not always the case.

Socktails are a miniature race of curious yet to-themselves creatures. They are often born with unique, varying, and colorful design and markings which they spend their youth obsessively searching for the perfect sock to match. It is unsure where their obsession with socks and wearing one on their tail comes from, but it is rare to see a Socktail without something covering their tails.
They are often mistaken for tricksters based off of their secretive nature and reputation for being sock thieves, but this isn't entirely the case. Socktails are commonly just shy and cautious, and as a result misunderstood. They have a natural curiosity, but are very subtle and sneaky about it. They dislike large crowds or loud commotions, and will do all they can to avoid them.
Typically, Socktails search homes for that one sock that perfectly matches them. Upon finding that sock, they prefer to take up residence within or near the home they discovered it in. It is rare to have more than one socktail taking residence within a home, except for when forming a family. Sometimes it takes the home owners months before they realize they have obtained a new housemate (and it's not always taken as a pleasant discovery). Generally, though, most people end up overlooking Socktails. They are a docile, self sufficient race that usually stay well out of the way and to themselves.
Overall, Socktails are not extremely common, but almost everyone has heard of them. Though until they come across one, many think they are just myths (like sock gnomes).
As is probably obvious at this point, they don't interact much with others openly (especially larger "scarier" species/races). They are very private. Socktails have been known to develop great fondness for their hosts if their trust is gained, though. Gaining a socktail's affections is considered being very lucky; they will often bestow small gifts and/or favors to those they adore. On the other hand, they can tend to live up to their trickster reputation if you gain the affections of a more playful Socktail.

FYRALINES

Fyralines are a race of fire aligned creatures with a notably feisty personality default. They tend to be loud, pushy, and very honest creatures. Fyralines are also usually very independent and live and play by their own rules. Although fire encases their shoulders, tail tip, and a small area of their ankles, the flames are harmless unless they choose for it to burn you.
Notable physical traits:
//Fyralines typically come in two flame types: warm and cool. Warms range from yellows to warm pinks, and cools range from teal to cool purples. There are exceptions, but they are rare.
//Similarly, they have either very light or fairly dark base colorings; light being more typical of warm flamed Fyralines, and dark being more prominent with cool flamed Fyralines.
//Fyralines are born with just utterly unruly cowlicks that, no matter what they may try, are never tamed. (As a result, they all hair that sticks up in some way)
//Their feet are smaller than is proportionately normal and as a result rely heavily on their tails for proper balance.

Info for those looking to commission me
Posted 11 years agoFirst off, to all those who have held interest in commissioning me, thank you very much! I definitely appreciate your business and desire for my art! : )))
But I've gotten a lot of new followers who don't quite know how I tend to work on here, so I thought I'd just throw out a heads up this is how it is type journal /gets a lot of notes asking about coms fjkls;
As far as commissioning me goes, I only offer a couple of options here on FA.
I generally only take on commissions through auctions, as well.
First option, the themed portraits I do each month. You can only get these through journal, and generally I will take on between 6 and 12 of each theme; up to three a week. These include an AB that land anywhere between $80-120.
Second option, full illustration auctions. These I do sporadically every few months; p much just when I feel like it. They tend to be laddered and have ended up going from $300-500. These are held through submissions.
Third option, ych auctions. I do these pretty rarely... I haven't done in a long time so I can't offer much info atm, but I plan to start doing them again. They'll probably be more illustration oriented w/ a set background.
Those are the main types of commissions you'll get from me here.
Occasionally I may open special, limited time things through journals here and there. Like sketches, speedpaints, experiments, etc. I don't do these very often, though.
I do NOT take private commissions. Please do NOT note me w/ an inquiry about commissioning me. I will decline.
I take on a specific amount of workload I am comfortable with. I have myself set up this way for a reason.
I also do not offer or do adult commissions. Nudity or suggestion I am fine with, but ahhh furry porn is out of my comfort zone. As is... most porn, tbh. (very specifically fujoshi trash gomen) So it's just not worth offering for me.

This round is going to go a bit different from how my previous portrait auctions have gone. Bidding will go from now until Sunday evening, but I won't announce an Autobuy price until about mid-day tomorrow. Hopefully this allows for more people to get a chance at these portraits!
Also there IS a chance I may up the dates to tuesday-thursday if everyone's slots are squared away by then, but I plan to be /fingers crossed/ getting my hair done tuesday so there may not be time to do a portrait then. We'll see tho! 8)

Meaning, I want to practice drawing negative emotions--crying, screaming, raging, shocked to numbness, etc.
I only plan to be doing 6 of these this month; three this upcoming week, and three the week after that.

ugh idk, I just have been really grumpy/out of sorts lately.
Like i'm either bouncing between being irritated w/ everything to feeling really down and melancholy about stuff.

I miss having a really close friend to talk to about stuff 24/7. Y'know the ones, where you can literally talk about ANYTHING and there's none of those awkward 'idk what to say at this moment so just quietly lets conversation drop for the time being >>;;' things
For the past 3-4 years+ I've always had someone like that around. And the last few months I haven't... and it's just ah starting to get old and empty and lonely. And it's not like that's something you can just go out and do something about. Friendships happen when they do. You can't force them along or make someone like you, etc.
And beyond that, I've been in a weird spot w/ art recently, too. The return of that 'I should be further along than I am' feeling. Ugh, like I don't feel I have a lot going for me besides art. I'm not very pretty, I'm not very interesting, I'm definitely not funny. Art is my main impress point and ugh
It's not very impressive to /me/ recently.

SOCKTAIL BASE EXAMPLE
Socktails are a miniture race of curious yet to-themselves creatures. They are often born with unique, varying, and colorful design and markings which they spend their youth obsessivily searching for the perfect sock to match. It is unsure where their obsession with socks and wearing one on their tail comes from, but it is rare to see a Socktail without something covering their tails.
They are often mistaken for tricksters based off of their secretive nature and reputation for being sock thiefs, but this isn't entirely the case. Socktails are commonly just shy and cautious, and as a result misunderstood. They have a natural curiosity, but are very subtle and sneaky about it. They dislike large crowds or loud commotions, and will do all they can to avoid them.
Typically, Socktails search homes for that one sock that perfectly matches them. Upon finding that sock, they prefer to take up residence within or near the home they discovered it in. It is rare to have more than one socktail taking residence within a home, except for when forming a family. Sometimes it takes the home owners months before they realize they have obtained a new housemate (and it's not always taken as a pleasant discovery). Generally, though, most people end up overlooking Socktails. They are a docile, self sufficient race that usually stay well out of the way and to themselves.
Overall, Socktails are not extremely common, but almost everyone has heard of them. Though until they come across one, many think they are just myths (like sock gnomes).
As is probably obvious at this point, they don't interact much with others openly (especialy larger "scarier" species/races). They are very private. Socktails have been known to develop great fondness for ther hosts if their trust is gained, though. Gaining a socktail's affections is considered being very lucky; they will often bestow small gifts and/or favors to those they adore. On the other hand, they can tend to live up to their trickster reputation if you gain the affections of a more playful Socktail.
Notable Physical Traits:

Acek > Super grumpy bunny, note face moles n tooth gap, will fight you
Kaivel > some sort of aquatic species? Really quiet/mild (not to be mistaken w/ shy). He's a strong fighter, tho (uses both fists and a trident). Always talks in a soft voice, if at all.
Jax > Blakrye, really quiet and disinterested outwardly (so to keep an obedient front), but actually tends to be sarcastic. Chances are he has a mental commentary running about you. Good luck getting him to open up or show any emotions, tho.
If you wanna trade w/ art for your half, feel free to have all the artistic freedom you'd like! Obviously try to keep the spirit of the character (like don't put Jotaku in all pink, for example)--but anything is fine w/ me so long as it isn't adult or genderbent. : ))

Posted 11 years agoUh yeah I don't think I really mentioned it but I left for a con so have been MIA for idk like a week+ preparing for and attending it. Anyway, I'm back. Was good. Now I need to make up for it /pathetic wheezes

How it'll work is:
-note me w/ whatever palette, symbol markings, inspirations, hair length/types, etc you have in mind --you don't have to have much of an idea, but I do need SOMETHING to work with.
-once okay'd, I'll ask for you to send the $20 to my paypal; I will only start on your custom after money is received
-i will send you a rough w/ three different options based off of the prompts you provided; you may mix and match from any of them as needed, OR if you really like all three, you may buy them for $5 each (as in, I give you three options to work w/ but say you really like 2 as-is, send an additional $5 and you can have the two; if you really like all three, send an additional $10 and you now have three Blakryes) (I will be willing to make super small edits on the additional two if you decide you want them as well [such as hair edits and color sliding] but beyond that you will either be charged extra or have to buy a new custom)
-after final changes, I will send you a full, clean version of your Blakrye.
-any turned down designs will then be minimally altered and recycled/sold off in later batches.
Some special notes to keep in mind when purchasing:
>All Blakryes naturally have completely black hair--this doesn't mean they can't dye it different colors ;)
>I am willing to draw different expressions on your custom
>The amount of marking symbols a Blakrye has indicates its level of magic; if you want your Blakrye more magically inclined request for more symbol use.
>This custom deal does not include a reference for markings/symbols--but if you would like for me to draw those out separate I will for an additional $1-5 depend on complexity. (as examples: $1 being the most simple and sparse of symbols, $3 being around full arm-filling complexity, and $5 being very complex, large portion of the body symbols)
>If you want any of these extra things you need to ASK. Otherwise I will go with the default/my choice on things.
