Im surprised there isnt a fetish for shedding your skin on FA among (ahem) scalies.

when i play a game for ages it usually gets boring and repetitive really quickly (fallout3, among others) and i think one of the upsides to this is how much fun you can have replaying, but different. Usually harder.

some of my favourites are playing farcry2 without using vehicles to travel, and tryng to get through an entire place without being seen, only using pistols...etc. Or just trying to be really imaginative with stuff. Like, instead of running around, aim, shoot: - bring someone down with a machete, when hes down put an IED next to him, then run+hide. When someone comes to help him, blow the IED.

also playing Deus Ex 2 with the brightness at almost minimum, hl2 with only the grav gun, not using the mech suits on lost planet, only 1hand weapons on cod4, rifles on cod5 (if you play nzi zombies, try only allowed random weapons+you have to take what you get).
thats the best thing a game can do to increase its life - make the gameplay as multi-choice as poss. Farcry2 was pretty messed up and bad, but the amount of tactics you can play...yessssss.
