Posted 10 years agoWelp, my tablet just died and is being sent off for repair <_>!
That leaves me with an inability to provide quick work!
I could do traditional work but of course, that is much more expensive and people generally don't want to pay that much!
Because of this, Commissions will be temporarily on hold until I get my baby back (ribs)!

- Because this is my real life job <_>, and I spend my real life time making the art. I also have real life years of training, practice, industry experience and a University degree behind me.
"Will you draw certain fetishes that a lot of people won't touch?"
- Provided you understand there will be a fee increase on specialty fetish art based on its complexity, and that it's not hurting someone IRL, then I don't have a problem with painting it.
"I'm embarrassed because the fetish I want painted is a little strange, will you judge me on it?"

Our special needs cat deteriorated rather rapidly and had to be put to sleep last week.
He was 5 months shy of his second birthday, and he was the coolest little dude ever.
Sam will be missed every day, and we all feel the emptiness that he's left behind.

A year of Shiddyluck
Posted 12 years agoThis week my indoor cat, and first ever adopted furbaby got lost.
It was super hot here in Perth, and no amount of food shaking and calling brought him home.
Turns out he'd gotten into our neighbours 4WD on the back shelf, and jumped out of the moving vehicle on the road quite a distance away.
My boyfriend canvased the area with some of the hundred fliers we made, and it turned out our stupid baby was hiding in a BBQ.
Poor thing was dehydrated and covered in blood, not to mention he needed a shot for nerves.
So glad we found him, my boyfriend cried THE ENTIRE TIME! Poor guy.
If he'd jumped out at the neighbours work or on the freeway he'd probably not be here today.
Now that my cat is back, I have tonsillitis, woo.
Bring on more things that make it hard to work <_> Gawd.
Before all that, I just got done not being able to walk!

Posted 12 years agoI got out of my wheelchair about a week ago, still slow going with the whole walking thing but yay! On my feet finally!
I have a lot of pain where my tendons are telling me NO, but, with more therapy I should be walking properly in a few more weeks :)
Right now, erry day I'm shufflin!
Oh Also! I made some tattoos for my store, and a few art boards in SL if anyones interested in decorating their AV or their place!

The individual decided that this was helpful advice, and got extremely mad at me when I wouldn't lower prices for them, or take their advice.

Hazel and I adopted a pooch named Dudley (Formerly Flopsy. Dixie was too big for us, sadly :C)
We are currently letting him settle in with the cats, and he spends most of his time cuddling, snoring and giving us puppy dog eyes for sammiches.
Unfortunately my boyfriend has decided that he wants me to pay him back for my wheelchair, which cut a huge hole (70% of my funds) in my money for Dudders.
If you'd like a commission, please let me know.
I'm off my feet for the next 11 weeks, and can work as often as my pain meds keep me working!
(Or I don't pass out from how exhaustive it is to not be able to use my legs)
I'll post some pictures later of the Dudders, he is such an awesome gentleman!

Posted 12 years agoSo we arrived home today from melbourne and went straight from the airport to the hospital.
2:30pm today they had me in surgery to bolt a plate to my ankle bone.
hopefully I go back to my home tomorrow. never before had I been admitted to hospital, or been in an ambulance, or broken a bone. hell I dont even have tooth fillings!!!
now to convince my boyfriend and joint house owner that adopting a pup will bring up morale and help me heal!

Posted 12 years agowell our 9 day holiday has been cut down to 3. wheelchair bound and can't do anything for myself save swear a lot at pain.
need to go home and find another orthopedic surgeon and see if they want to wait out the week in plaster or bolt my bone back together in surgery.

I'm going to Melbourne for a week to PAX. Had these tickets not been bought before we moved house I would have used that cash to get Dixie and this new puppy Flopsy! But sadly, the money is already locked in.
Back by next friday, and I'll be sure to get back in to commissions as soon as we return!

Sadly, my boyfriend says no, and although its a majority vote, he earns all of the income, whilst my income is dependent on my commissions, and Hazel is a student.
He reckons we won't be able to pay for a vet bill should one crop up in the next 5 months while he is paying off his credit card.
I reckon I can get my ass into crazy art monkey mode and crank out enough paintings to keep my new furbaby's bills in check.
Dixie was found as a puppy, her leg badly injured and her owner unable to pay for medical bills, and so he bandaged her wound himself and left it. Unfortunately he left the bandage too tight and the wound got so terrible she nearly lost her entire paw, several times. It took 4 months of rehabilitation and treatment but she got to keep her foot! (yay!)
Hazel has already fall in love with this lovely girl, and was heart broken to the point of tears when my boyfriend said we couldn't adopt her.
If you're feeling especially in need of a portrait, please consider getting one done with me :)

I've been back in artistic action now for a couple of weeks, but this last week I've been infected by a plague shared by the worst kind of infector... children.. :C
Been in bed most of the week, so if you're waiting on your commission pieces, I apologise! I've been really really ill.
Currently working on:
Dragon - Angelclawz (SL) Full Colour - Completed - STILL AWAITING PAYMENT (25th of Sep). (Not Paid)
1) Vander - Character Portrait High Quality (Half Paid) - Colour Phase (60%)
2) Jester - Double Character Full Colour (unpaid) - Line Art Phase (60%)
3) Vander - Character Profile Portrait (Unpaid) - Blocking Phase (80%)

I have a few new pieces coming up! So that should be exciting!
