Moved up to West Virginia for grad school and we are trying to get shit unpacked.

Luckily got a part-time job right away so between the two of us Mum and I should be okay.

Commissions are always open, but I might be slow due to the sheer clusterfuck that is life right now lol

So, I got fired from my job because I calmly stood up for a newbie and myself against this bitchy new assistant manager.

I live with my grandparents and my mother gets disability, so I have a home and bills are getting paid.

However, I would still like to earn some extra money for MechaCon for my cosplay and just extra spending money, so I'm opening some commissions!

Still not confident at backgrounds, so buyer beware if you want one. ^^;

Had a bad nervous breakdown today; anxiety disorder has gone from managed to just about crippling.

I've not been doing as well as I know I can in this one class I need; I know the material, I'm just not doing the best on the exams. I feel really ashamed on this last one because in my stress-addled brain, I somehow forgot to finish answering a few questions. I thought I had double-checked.

Mum's still struggling with illness; the procedure to clear out her occluded sinuses was cancelled yesterday because she had an unusually high blood sugar spike. While her liver isn't to the point of needing a transplant yet, she does have primary sclerosing cholangitis; I'm likely going to be her donor when it does come to that. Long story short, she's been feeling bad for months; recurring sinus infections, sometimes having trouble keeping food down, etc.

I'm trying to find another part-time job and trying to keep the house clean for my grandparents, but it's so damn hard when I sweep/mop the kitchen and back porch and wipe down the counters only to come back the next day and already have sticky crap or other spills/messes/dirt on it.

If I don't have a job and I can't keep the house clean and I'm not doing the best I know I'm capable of in class, than what good am I?

So after getting gas, I pull into Sonic to get Mum a hot dog. I have Sofie with me.

As I'm waiting in the drive-thru spot to receive my order, Sofie climbs over into my lap to see what she could see.

This woman emerges from the kitchen to deliver the food to a customer in a stall across the patio from me. She turns around, sees Sofie, and her eyes just light up.

She scurries on over and is just cooing at my dog; I tell her it's okay to pet her, and she is just JOYOUS.

"What can she have?!"
"Uuuuhhh.... fries or a plain burger?"

She smiles at Sofie and goes, "I'm making *you* a burger!"

Before rushing back inside. Lo and behold she comes back out with a burger.

My dog's cuteness is unfathomable power.

I started back to classes because I need a couple to apply to vet school.

That being said, I still haven't found another job and I would appreciate some pocket change to buy something hot to eat while I'm on campus.

I quit that shitty job that drained my mental health, treated me like shit despite nearly three years of admirable employment, and had whittled my hours down to nothing.

I was being bullied/harassed by one of the assistant managers, and despite reporting it several times to the GM in the year or so that AM was here, nothing was done.

Last night was the straw that broke the camel's back.

While it is a huge burden off my shoulders, I have no income and have to rely on my grandparents until I can get another job.

Mum and I are gonna be attending a Fallout Boy concert in New Orleans this Wednesday! I'm so fucking hyped because I've been aching to see my favorite band in person!

We have seats right near the catwalk, so maybe I can take turns with people high-fiving Patrick and Pete!

Sorry I've been kind of absent the past couple months because I had to complete a vet school application; whew what a stressful few weeks.

Hopefully I'll be able to draw some more and post; might be sketches and stuff.

Hyped about DMC5 but hoping they change Dante's theme.

I decided I am gonna try to go for a Bakugou cosplay for next year's MechaCon, depending on where I am at that point.

Lost a lot of sleep that last week running up to the due date for the application, but it got submitted and all I gotta do is wait.

Hours have been a little short at work, but with football season starting up, business should improve and thus hours.

Back to singing in the Ocean Springs Chorale and gonna perform in a Christmas concert in December.

Hm, that's all I can think of to say.

So, I got diagnosed as Type 2 diabetic yesterday; three generations of my family before me have had it, so the odds were against me from the start.

However, it's not like I'm on insulin, just starting some other medication; other than the 15 or 20 pounds I want to lose (which will keep it from blowing up out of control), I'm otherwise healthy.

Look, if you find an artist who is willing to draw your bizarre fetish.... Please respect them.

Don't be a little shit who, after being sent many sketch WIP, wait until they're ready to line before you decide you wanna change the whole damn pose.

If the artist says they've got work and may take a few days to get started, do not message them the next day asking if they've gotten started yet.

Not usually passive aggressive but occasionally I remember this one client I took a commission from and I'm still salty.

Bad news: my smartphone I've cared for and used for four years finally kicked the bucket.

Good news: the payment plan for an upgrade is affordable, the gentleman covered the overnight shipping (I'll be getting it on Friday morning), and I won't be without a phone for long.

Other good news, I did not have an anxiety attack when the phone died--I was stressed a bit and irritated, but did not have an attack. PROGRESS.

More bad news, though, still hate my job.

Other good news: I'm going to see Deadpool 2 on Monday and then start working on my vet school application.

So..... that vet clinic that I was talking about? I have a background in volunteering for vet clinics, but each clinic works different, yeah?
They told me I would be trained in anything I did not know; I would be trained in how their clinic runs.
They got a copy of my driver's license, gave me a W-4 to fill out, and even put me on the schedule.

Today, I get a phone call while I've just started my shift at the pizza joint; they suddenly have decided not to hire me because I'm "not experienced enough."

They strung me along and yanked the rug out from under me and I'm still stuck at the shitty Papa John's job.

I spent a good 20 minutes in the bathroom at work just crying.

If you heard a loud breaking sound earlier today, that was the sound of my heart shattering to pieces.
