General | Posted 9 years agoTypically, if one is given permission to upload their art on their gallery and does so, but also wants to post it onto a second gallery later on, is it considered proper etiquette to ask everyone again for permission to do so?
I'd rather not be on the receiving end of art permissions social justice or anything for an innocent mistake, so I wanted to ask and make sure. It's probably a silly question, but the one time I assume something is okay...

General | Posted 9 years agoMan has it been a thing where I have had NO TIME. I mean, I'm active and I'm faving and running, but even then I'm having horrible backlog things where I'm just looking at things from...nearly a week and a half ago. x_____x
Things are going to settle down now, but not for a couple of weeks. I got a promotion at one of my jobs, which means full time work, which means an extra day off a week! I won't have to work six days a week, so hopefully THIS means I'll have more time to myself because my god, I need it. I'm burnt out as fuck.
What's up with you guys? It's been far too long since I posted a journal and I'll be surprised if you all even remember me, much less you remember even watching me to begin with. :P

I for one am glad 2016 is here so that hopefully there's a turnaround in things. I don't really speak of my own life too much, but the last few months of 2015 were generally less than kind for me, but it's in the past now. Here's to a better future!

Technically all of the postings should be posted by...roughly now, but I'm going to give an extra day's leeway before I start sending out gentle reminder notices, so I apologize if you haven't gotten your pic yet. Maybe a gentle reminder here can help, in case your person is taking a peek here!
But yeah, the extra day's leeway is because for the last two weeks, life has severely gotten in the way here personally, so much so that I totally forgot that today was Halloween. Between work, having to bring my roomie to work too, and things involving having to get a new car because the other died suddenly in front of a toll booth (and a few other things...), let's just say it's not left me a lot of time to really manage other things. x.o
Anyone who has posted me a notice, either via comment or FA note, I have marked you down as having completed your end of the trade as of the time of this post. And a hearty you're welcome and thank you for your participation! I always have fun doing these and seeing what comes out of them as an end result, and you guys have been a fantastic bunch. Thank you! OuO

Just wanted to politely remind you that you can start posting your part of the trade this Saturday! Once it's officially Halloween at 12:01 EST (Eastern Standard Time), totally go for it! Don't forget, to get credit, you have to:
1.) Post the pic somewhere where your person can see it.
2.) Give your trade person the link to the pic.
3.) Give me a link in a note so I can check you off for credit.

Let's treat this as a Q&A for what's up. :3
So my friends, here's how this will work!
1.) Make sure you have your notes on. I'll be sending you a note sometime in the next 24 hours. This note will have the person you will be drawing a pic for. Assignments will be randomly selected using [url=http://random.org].
2.) DO NOT TELL YOUR ASSIGNED PERSON YOU ARE DRAWING FOR THEM!. This is meant to be a surprise! Likewise, do not talk about fight club the trade with others, as trying to whittle down the list of people you could be getting a pic from also lessens the surprise.
2b.) If you need more information than what is provided, browse around their gallery, their tumblr, dA, Twitter, or whatever else the person has. Do the detective work, you awesome sleuths you. :3
3.) You may start posting your pictures on 12:01 A.M., Saturday, October 31st, Eastern Standard Time. Essentially, the moment it officially turns Halloween in New York City, post your pictures!
3b.) For the love of god, do NOT be late. I will be keeping an eye out and keeping tabs on who's posted. I will be prodding you if you're late. This is my biggest pet peeve in these things, as it's not fair to others who have worked hard to get it in on time, not to mention it can feel insulting to some people when they see everyone else got their pic on time and they didn't.
3c.) If you know ahead of time that you're going to be unable to post your picture on the 31st, please send me a note so we can work out other arrangements. I would rather know that you have to take a trip to see family or your computer died. Let me know ASAP should anything occur so I can work out other arrangements. I'm willing to bend the rules if you need it, but saying so three days after the deadline has passed, for example, is going to have me more than a little annoyed.
3d.) PROTIP: The sooner you finish the picture for the person, the less you have to worry about having the rush to meet the deadline. Then you can relax and do all the other stuff you wanna do and not keep worrying OHMAHGODDEADLINE AAAAAAA. *Sage nod*
4.) Please put some effort into these pics. You don't have to draw like Da Vinci or your favorite FA artist, but it doesn't come off as fair if someone did a whole full color/shaded pic for you and you just give your person a five minute scribble sketch that barely looks like a stick man. Imagine how you'd want the pic you're getting to look like and put forth the same amount of effort for your person. If you're not a great artist, like I said, it's fine! I'm totally not either, promise! But when I join in a trade like this, I always put my best foot forward and do the best I can. People can tell whether you put in effort or not. :3
5.) In order to receive "credit" for posting your artwork, do the following:

General | Posted 10 years agoBack before I hopped into the fandom, I did a regular gaming stream. Eventually I tired of it and moved on.
Now I kinda feel like doing it again, but this time as a special furry thing. Probably be semi-regularly, as I can't plan a damned thing with the way my work schedule goes. Interactive playing may even occur!

General | Posted 10 years agoI'm feeling lazy, so anyone got a simple meme or some really cool, easy-going flash puzzle game?
I've almost finished Picross Madness from top to bottom, so a nice relaxing puzzle game would do wonders. I've been playing Jumble Solitaire and doing crossword puzzles lately too. Sudoku is mostly easy for me but something I've done a million times.
As far as memes go, I don't feel like journal digging, so link me to whatever and I'll do it for shiggles. I don't really talk about myself a lot here, so that might get me to open up!
