Hi all,

Sorry I've been sort of non-existent lately. I've been super busy. A lot of stuff for my job, plus I'm taking on some freelance work to help pay my way for MFF, and I've been having car trouble which has been taking up a lot of my time. So in short, free time = slim to none ATM.

In regards to the last journal I posted, I would ignore it. I had a SUPER bad day at work (long story), and I've been suffering through this condition where my sinus passages are constantly inflamed which has been interfering with both my breathing and my sleep schedule. Needless to say I was in a rotten mood that day. I'm not going to delete the journal for the peeps who did comment on it (made me feel better =3).

Hopefully after this month is out I can resume a more regular routine, and maybe even have some time to talk to people online (ZOMG!).

Sometimes I wish I had more friends to talk to about stuff in my life...

Sorry but we both knew it would come to this someday. It was fun while it lasted, but ultimately I realize how much of a cheap piece of garbage you are. That may seem harsh, but it's the truth. You can't even do the most basic things that I need in that sort of relationship. So that's why we can no longer be together, PC in my basement.

You have to understand that MacBook Pro and I are happy together. Look at all we've done together. We made this sweet Zanni video in iMovie (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=laKaSJVtuPA) in like a couple of hours. You can't even read a blank CD without freezing. I am truly disappointed. I mean, she has a MAGIC TRACK PAD, you have a ball-mouse that makes me want to punch things. Isn't the choice obvious to you.

But don't feel too bad. My dad will still use you to check Facebook and write the occasional letter in Word.

Ang had a really bad day yesterday. Without going into details, I just feel she needs some random love. So to anyone who's watching me and Boda, or just to anyone who knows her art, go leave her a friendly message! Show some love to the person who fills your lives with so much TF goodness on a regular basis. It would sure mean a lot to her. =)

At least I found a good song in the car on the way back from Ang's house. Anyone ever hear of Mumford and Sons? They actually seem pretty popular so I guess I'm just late to the party? Kinda embarrassing actually. I heard their song "Little Lion Man" which...is strangely appropriate to me. o_O

Oh well. On a different note, I found out I actually have two weeks vacation from work (thought I only had one for my first year) so me and Ang are probably gonna do MFF this November. Anyone gone, or hear anything about the con? I think this will be the farthest west I've ever traveled in the U.S., or just about anywhere. Sad, no?

So...finally getting around to putting up a post-con journal. Big thanks to everyone who said hi and hung out with me and Ang. It was really awesome. Plus I got to see a lot of really cool people again who I met last year. Suiting was a blast and a half! Iggy's a character I've loved ever since I was a kid, so this'd be total nostalgic wish fulfillment for me. Any thoughts?

I check the ol' CL every day while job hunting. One thing I run into a lot are part time jobs that offer about 10 to 12 bucks an hour to make fliers etc, or basically doing grunt work. I usually don't pay them any mind, going on my way of skimming to find offers more worth while. However I found someone was not as easy going as I was, when I (filled with curiosity) clicked on a posting for "crappy paying design jobs."

I think all of us artists and designers are tired of seeing design jobs that only pay the bare minimum. We go through 4 years of college learning all the different design techniques & elements and ways of drawing, doing endless number of sketches, spending countless hours on our portfolios, spending thousands of dollars on tuition and not to mention student loans and hundreds of dollars on art supplies only to make $10 an hour in the real world. I know people who have never went to college who make twice that. You can make more than that at Aldi's and all you need for that is a high school diploma. Design and Advertising companies need to wake up and realize that they need to offer more if you want to get any responses as well as retain the designer they hire. As a designer myself, I think I am done with this field. I am switching to the medical field where I can be rest assured that I will find a job for way more pay, security and benefits than what I would ever get as a graphic designer.

Thankfully I'm not as jaded as this guy. I had a phone interview today for a huge environmental consulting firm. I'll wait to see if I get the actual interview before I decide to become a nurse. Well a real one anyways: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2554074. *wink wink* =P

Well, I still may be unemployed but that hasn't gotten me down too much. There's a new ad agency a little south of me, and the Art Director was seriously impressed with my design work! Only problem is they aren't hiring until December. =/

In the mean time I'mma keep job hunting (that and playing massive amounts of FFXII and Chrono Trigger).

Oh! And me and  angrboda are headed to see Great Big Sea (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Big_Sea) this weekend at the harbor! They played a show there same time last year and it rocked! Here's hoping for a repeat performance. =)

Well after some drama and stuff, me and  angrboda got back from Pittsburgh unscathed.

AC ended up being a blast. We met some really cool people including  catmonkshiro  lunarkeys  taki  tamarik  starpaw  soba and even my old bud from college  rockk!

It was a shock going from seeing all of four furs in my day to day life to people in ears, tails, and suits, EVERYWHERE. We ate at Fernando's Furnando's and some really cool places downtown. It was also great to see some of the artist's I've been watching in person as well! I even got a commish from  finalflight, and even though she didn't have time to color it at the con, is letting me scan it and send to her to color later!

One of the highlights actually came after the con when I was walking downtown in my Buffalo Sabres shirt when one kind Pittsburgian decided to yell "Go Pens! Go Pens! I hate New York!" while walking past us on the sidewalk. =P

Honestly I'm all ready to do it again next year. God help me. =P
