Posted 5 months agoHowdy everyone, first off, if you have read my prior journals then you can understand when I say that my health has not really gotten much better. Every test we have comes back negative so we still do not have any inclination towards what has been causing this. I will be starting physical therapy and will be in it for around nine months to hopefully strengthen some of the muscles that have gotten very weak over this last year or so.

Health Update #3
Posted a year agoSo, after being through a barrage of diagnosing tests, everything has come back clean. I had an MRI of my left shoulder, cervical spine, and brain performed, with and MRA of the brain as well. The only positive findings was that I have a bit of arthritis in the middle of my neck, and, I have some thickening of the mucosal walls in my forehead (meaning more than likely heavy allergies this seasons, or a cold that came on recently).
There has been nothing found that would cause everything that's has gone on, and still happens occasionally. And while the feeling may have returned, the fear of it happening again hasn't left.
Lately, to endure sitting down for any period of time, I have a chest massager to try to relax all the muscles from pulling on the pinched areas where all the nerves go through under my collarbone. Eventually they say it should lighten up to be back to normal, but worse came scenario, I'll consider having the surgeon remove that top rib...
Hopefully I'll finish something soon. I have a few new instruments I would like to record and piece together some softer/slower pieces for.

Update #2: Diagnoses!
Posted a year agoHowdy everyone. I'm happy to say I have a "rough" diagnoses. It isn't narrowed down to what form of it, but I have Thoracic Outlet Syndrome on both sides. It's nothing life threatening, which we knew, but will complicate things for a while longer.
My schedule will be busier with physical therapy two to three times a week now for the foreseeable future, but hopefully that frees up the nerve bundle in the joints and I can finally relax again.

Health Update
Posted a year agoHowdy everyone, it's been a while and I wanted to inform everyone while I'm feeling better. Currently I'm recovering from a minor dental surgery and that pain is pretty much gone already. However, I have... Developed a rather troublesome issue that I hope to have diagnosed later today.
When I was relaxing and playing a game a few months ago I had an attack where my upper chest went completely numb and my heart started racing. It calmed down but it scared me. A week later, with my partner besides me, it happened again but this time I lost feeling in my left pectoral muscle and my left arm. I went to the ER and they said it wasn't a stroke or heart attack (active). I met with my cardiologist who ran some tests over the course of a week and we found that my heart is fine, x-rays showed my lungs are also fine. That was a few months ago now. My arm randomly comes back and goes numb again, and the chest feeling is random as well. As such, I haven't been able to do much. I've been able to work on my songs for maybe 10 minutes a day at max...
I apologize for the wait but hopefully everything is diagnosed and I'll be able to continue everything without issue.

Surgery Update!

I'm feeling well. It's... Odd to not have a nagging pain in my side anymore, let alone the pain through my abdomen anymore.
My surgeon said I'm healing rather quickly but I still need to be safe and hold off on doing anything extra for another two weeks, which at that point I can go back to normal stuff, but shouldn't push it (i.e., don't carry the 160lbs of salt up and down stairs for a water softener).
The surgical glue has finally all come off and the scars are smaller than I would've thought (especially for that first few days of pain), but everything looks great. I'm not concerned about the scars at all.
I hope to have something for you all soon!

Posted 2 years agoHowdy everyone. I'm not sure who all would even see this journal but I wanted to ask your opinion on stuff.
I recently paid for an animated commission from a larger artist, who seemed trustworthy. Even being followed by some larger artists as well that are well known. They had some issues with their computer and haven't been able to complete the commission.
Issue is... They said this five months ago, and they initially said it would be a month max. They haven't posted to their Patreon or Twitter in these last six months or so. So my question is... What should I do? Should I trust that they are working on getting a new computer or should I believe that they are lying?
Otherwise, normal music stuff for me. I've been learning Bass again and it's been fun to mess around. I've mostly been playing stuff from the 70's era.

I own both this account and the BigScraps account. If you follow my posts on the other channels (being YouTube, Twitter, or Discord) you would see that I'm a variation of BigScraps on every single one of those (even in Xbox, though PS already had every version taken).
So, I wanted to ask, would it be better to move everything over to that account or keep it as a separate account for just the art I commission or events?

Massive Project: Complete!

A few people on here already know but I'm making a journal so everyone that follows me can see the news!
I made a Monster Hunter quiz before regarding the roars of the mainline game monsters. This current project was a massive one, being the unique themes of EVERY non mobile monster in the franchise (not counting ones that have themes accredited to them - meaning the Great Izuchi with the shrine temple battle music for example). If the theme has the monster name in it somewhere, or is solely used for that monster, it is in this quiz.
It is over an hour long, so one of my longest videos and projects I've ever made. So please, if you are a fan of MH, please watch the video, or feel free to skip around it. The themes are the first 25 seconds of each one, so if you like that part, you'd like the entire piece more than likely.

This semester has been brutal already, which is to be expected from the final semester for my current program. The album sales were low, but not unexpected so I'm happy for the few that supported me in my first true project! I have been busy, and will continue to be for a while. As such, please give me time to reply to comments or notes! I also have my links that are more personal if you want me to respond sooner!
I just uploaded two new songs that I had written a little while ago after and during the album! I got a new piano that needs to be tuned, but I truly love the ambiance and resonance the wooden body gives. Expect more songs using that in the future!

It, however, is waiting for release until something special is done in partnership with it. I am under discussion with another person, a good friend in fact, to create a lyrical piece that can go over top of the song. Not necessarily lyrics, by a story.
You all are welcome to contact me on here with a note, or on Telegram - BigScraps if you want to listen to the song early and come up with your own lyrics or story that can be overlayed. I welcome all external input outside of "it should sound like this".

I've been running across the continental U.S. and I'm finally back home. I have a few projects to catch up, discussions and assignments to re work, but I should be free to finally release the second AND third song for the album!

Update : Potential Album in the Works

I know I don't have a large following anywhere, and I'm glad to have written a couple songs for Second Chance that were accepted in.
Since my master's program started up I sadly haven't had much time to really focus on what I wanted to do until about a month ago. It goes with a concept that I've been building data and samples for (from natural sources, like a waterfall, storming weather, etc), and, a potential album.
The albums title was already decided, and I'm happy to say I'm calling it, Nature's Contempt.
There are (tbd fully) going to either be six or five songs. The premise is simply music that revolves around and tells the story of a terrible tornado, hopefully I can match what I have in my head, but, this is all a long way out.
If there are any questions or someone wants to talk about the idea, send me a note and I'll get back to you!

Basic Information

I've been a musician for a very long time and I also draw and make models, though I much prefer music side of myself. I'm a percussionist and pianist, and as of writing this, am current saving up for a full size marimba.
I do take requests/comissions. Though I dislike the idea of comissions for myself (as I will never believe I'm good enough for that), I will take them. Don't be afraid to ask!
I'm fairly busy, and I'm not online regularly enough to check every day for messages so If I don't reply, give me some time. I reply to every message, just to confirm your question or statement has been noticed.
