Posted 8 years agoHey guys, I know it's been awhile but, I just wanted to check in and let ya know I once again have a computer! It's nothing fancy but, it's enough to get my art back up and running... as soon as I finish re-downloading and installing everything lol.
I don't want to promises anything but... I may be doing a pay-what-you-want/Freebie stream tomorrow! So keep an eye out!

Fire update
Posted 8 years agoHer peeps, it's been a few days so I figured it was time for an update.
Home: So far the new pace we got into is nice. There is a pool for Sera and the neighbors seem to be pretty nice. Rent is a little higher than I would like it to be but, given how quick they where able to get us into a place I can't really complain. Restocking the house is going.... Okay. There is still a lot of things to be got but the important thinks like a mattress for my daughter, clothing for her, and grocery has been covered thanks is whole thanks to everyone who donated! There is still a long way to go, the next big thing will be a mattress for deja and I so I don't feel like death every single morning, lol.
Computers: ugh... So a good chunk of our systems needed to be scrapped because of the fire. One of the motherboards was so covered in soot it was black and the other looked like part of it had over heated and sparked. We managed to clean what we could and salvage a processor, a graphics card, a monitor and the majority of our ram. We are looking into replaceing what we lost but it might be a little while before we have a single function computer again.
Tablets: so... My tablet... Bless it's beaten and burned soul seems to have survived! I won't be able to be %100 sure untill I have something to hook it up to but, at the moment it does turn on which is a good sign! My pen on the other hand did not fair as well... The nib appears to have melted into it...
Anyways I just wanted to keep everyone posted as to what was happening and thank everyone for there support and compassion. Everyone on here has been so wonderful during this shit storm!
If you would like to help feel free to hit me up with some suggestions for computer parts or you can donate to my PayPal at: lostwingsart[at]yahoo.com

So... My apt burned down (help needed)
Posted 8 years agoOn the 11th there was a fire in my apartment, thankfully we where not home at the time and no one was hurt but, everything in the apartment was a complete loss. Computers, clothing, furniture everything was either burnt or to smoke/heat damaged to be salvaged. Thankfully I had a little savings put back so we where able to get into a new apartment but that was as far as my savings went. We have been reaching out to every community resources available to us but there is still so much to get/replace and only so much help available in my area. I don't expect any help and I hate to ask but, any donations at this point would go such a long way towards grocery and odd and ends I need for my daughter. Obviously I'll be away for quite a while untill I can get everything sorted out and buy a computer/tablet again but as soon as I do there will be thank you gifts! Even if you can't donate if you could point me in the direction of cheap household goods or any service that might be able to help it would be really appreciated.
If you would like to help me out feel free to boost this or if you would like to donate my PayPal is lostwingsart[at]yahoo.com

Commission 2017 information (huge change)
Posted 8 years agoSo, as some of your are aware, I start a new, full-time job this week. Because of this sudden change, I will only be taking full commissions on a very limited basis. Sketch and flat color streams will still happen, I'm going to try to do them once a week on Friday nights, but that might change depending on my work schedule. Until I get everything set at my new job I might be a little inactive. I am still working on pending commissions so, I'll still be active just not nearly as much as I have been.
If you're interested in getting a full commission from me the best thing I can tell you is to watch for journals or submissions announcing available slots. I'm hoping to be able to take 2 or 3 slots a month but, even that is iffy at the moment as I may go to strictly YCH's simply because of the time constraint I will be under.
As things work themselves out I'll keep you guys informed!

Commissions CLOSED
Posted 9 years agoJust a quick reminder that commissions are closed until further notice. I'm going to be redoing my commission information here and hopefully re-opening within the next week or two. Until then you can still grab a super cheap stream sketch! I'll be doing on tomorrow night to ring in the new year!
Commission notice (Christmas commission information)
Posted 9 years agoWith the new year rapidly approaching I just want to give everyone a heads up that my commission information will be changing. I'm going to be doing some price adjustments and some basic updates, considering my coloring has changed pretty drastically over the last year.
I'll be going out of state for the majority of the Holiday season (December 18th -January 1st) So, any/all Christmas themed commission must be placed on or before November 24th. I will be taking very limited slots so as not to over burden myself. During my break I may take traditional sketch sheet commissions but, as of right now that is up in the air. If i decide to do these I will post a journal/submission regarding them as the date draws closer.
As always, if you have any questions feel free to ask!

YCH Auctions 2014
Posted 11 years agoBecause I plan on doing quite a few of these in the future I figured I would go ahead and outline the basics. Below you will find any and all information concerning my YCH auctions as far as what can and can’t be done. YCH auctions are subject to the same rules and agreements as my regular commissions and will now be one of the only ways to receive adult art work from me. If you have any questions feel free to leave a comment!
What is a “YCH”?
“YCH” stand for “Your character here”, it is a pre-made template (normally a rough sketch) that can be edited into a specific character.
How does a YCH auction work?
A YCH auction work just like any other auction with the highest bidder being awarded the final piece. In order to bid all you have to do is quote the opening “bid here” post with your offer. After an offer has been made make sure to quote the current highest bidder with your offer making sure it inheres to the minimum bid increase guidelines.
How do/when do I send payment?
All payments must be sent via paypal within 24 hours of the auction ending. Failure to pay within the allotted time will result in the piece being awarded to the next highest bidder. All payments are to be made in USD and will be sent to you in the form of a time sensitive invoice. Please to not bid if you will be unable to make the required payment within the 24 hour deadline.
How much will you edit a base?
All bases can be edited within reason and are not species specific. Adding tails, horns, wings, increasing/decreasing the bust size and minor weight changes are all within the realm of reason. Any auctions resulting in the final bid of $100.00 (uds) or more will be subject to more extensive edits such as gender change, drastic weight changes and minor pose changes.
Are your YCH’s gender specific?
All bases will state wither or not the piece is gender specific in the description. In most cases any female base can be edited into a hermaphrodite but not a full male. Exceptions will be made if the final bid reaches $100.00 (usd) or more.
When there are multiple characters present am I bidding on a single slot or the picture as a whole?
Wither or not you’re bidding on a slot or the picture as a whole will be stated in the description.
Do you reuse/resell bases?
No, all bases are %100 original and will not be resold. If you see something you like bid on it then because it will not become available again.
What do your YCH reference sheets include?
YCH reference sheets are done as a ladder auction with the final amount dictating what is included within the piece. The starting bid will always include a full color, full body frontal and rear view.
What is a ladder auction?
A ladder auction is an auction with different price rungs. Once a rung has been met extra details will be added.
Can I swap/change things about the reference sheet?
If, for instance, the reference sheet includes a chibi clothing reference but, your character doesn’t wear clothing, swaps/changes can be made in order to accommodate your needs/wishes.
Is there a quality difference between your YCH and your regular commissions?
No, I strive to give all of my commissioners, be YCH or otherwise, quality art work.
Do I get to see a WIP/approve a sketch?
On basic YCH auctions there will not be an approval process unless extensive edits are to be done to the base. On reference sheets however, there will be two approval points: the first after the sketch has been edited and the second after the base colors have been laid in.
How can I get featured in one of your YCH’s?
Featured characters are done one of two ways. This first is a $30.00 flat fee that will be paid up front. The flat fee will insure you have some creative control over the piece like what you want your characters role to be and how many other characters will be present. In the second option a set price will be agreed upon between myself and the commissioner, if/when that price is met though the auction the commissioner pays nothing but, if by chance, the auction doesn’t meet the agreed upon price the commissioner pays the difference. For Instance, if the agreed upon price was $60.00 but the auction resulted in a bid of $50.00 the commissioner would pay the $10.00 difference. Unlike in the first option the commissioner will have very little say beyond the role they wish there character to play within the piece.
How long does it take to complete a piece?
On average a basic YCH will be finished within a week (7 business days) depending on the extent the base needs to be edited. Due to the level of detail included in a reference sheet they will be finished within a month (30 days) of the auction being closed.

Posted 15 years agoYep, that's right, Deja and I have officially been together a year today. So, why am I telling you guy? Because I'm happy and wanted to share. I also wanted to thank Deja because, over the last year, he has helped and pushed me to improve my art and so, so much more.
