Pretty much all major credit card companies and payment processors agreed today that a vast array of content is now banned from steam, itch.io, and essentially all media outlets. Fansley and only fans have also block banned furry content and more is sure to follow. It's entirely possible that hosting furry websites via traditional payment platforms will become impossible and require crypto.

Hell it's possible that paying for anything considered pornogrophy or displaying it in public may soon carry a felony charge in the US or the equivalent of that in other countries such as the EU. I understand that this sounds like I'm saying the sky is falling and you want to write me off as alarmist. I get it, I really do. I'm trans, I'm intersex, I'm disabled, I'm a pagan, and I'm a leftist. I'm in groups that have routinely faced oppression and I see threats from many places that most people write off.

But the writing is on the wall and they are comming for furries. They're comming for anyone and everyone that wants to present as or enjoy anything that isn't the body they were born into that isn't vanilla marriage. That isn't hyperbole, casual reasearch will show that is the agenda of both big tech, corporations, and of the right. They realize people don't want to have kids which will inevitably cause dips in profit and thus, instead of making the world better they think they can force people to have children by making everything illegal. Bonus, they get more minority groups to vilify and more slave labor in their prisons.

This is by design.

What can we do? We need to rally and push very hard to get an F added to LGBTAQ. I have huge problems with that organization. I'm ace and I'm intersex and I've been told bluntly by organizators that I am unwelcome and off message. Thankfully the community at large, especially skewing younger disagrees. Yes, there are older assholes in it openly discussing dropping trans people as appeasement but it isn't gaining traction. Also the movement is far bigger than the organization and if there was ever a time to make it about Alternative Lifestyles and Identity rather than narrow sexual identity now is the time.

We have to push, and push hard to be let into this block so we become a bigger community. Many of us are already a part of it, but if we push for furries on the whole to become a serious part of it then it becomes a much bigger group. It becomes harder to discriminate piece by piece and win now us down. This is also why we HAVE to stand with trans people and ANY discriminated groups.

If you can house someone who's homeless right now or provide sanctuary to someone foreign born in the US? Please consider it. Same with if you have the opportunity to talk publiclally (do not do debates, they are a waste of time), to phone bank, to talk with elected reps, to run for office, to do anything? Do so. There are also means of non violent resistence I won't go into but should be considered. Unionize and form groups. Push to be accepted into other groups. Talk with your neighbors. Be yourself openly and answer questions.

Contact any sympathetic company and make your case. Letter campaigns DO work. Public pushback works. We have to not just make allies, but form a real union with like minded people to stop what is happening. Now is the time because if we don't act now it's over. And as much as it pains me to say this, we do need to prepare for things getting worse. They will.

Wake the fuck up fuzzbutt. We got some fash to burn.

I will not be paying upfront for work with artists I haven't worked with before due to a few too many times of folks ghosting me after or really dragging their heels. I also do not respond to individuals fishing for a comm via dm. If you really wanna draw my charecters feel free but so help me if you use AI or steal I will report you to my friends on staff. Furthermore, if you're acting as a middleman, aka, pitching a comm to me with a markup before undercutting someone you know to draw it I'll also report you.

Basically, I'm very tired of people being untoward when it comes to this.

In other news I may try to write something soon. Or maybe two somethings. One with angle hare and the other with renamon. Time will tell due to my Chronic Fatigue disorders.

The tides of history are truly shifting not just where I live but everywhere. My best advice to you dear reader is to consolidate with those you consider kin. Choose a place where local laws and support lean towards you and how you wish to live and do your best to convince everyone you love to move to that area. That's step one, the more of us together watching one another's backs the safer you and those you love will be.

After that? Outreach. Get involved with local fundraisers and town halls. Do some potlucks. Go to church or start a religious outing. Volenteer. Get to know your neighbors. Extend outwards and show your true self and your love for the world to all. Some will be skittish or resistant but most will have never met anyone like you. Listen to them first and then, offer to simply let them ask you questions. Answer truthfully, kindly, and with grace. Focus on how we are similar rather than different. On how at the end of the day we all just want to live our authentic lives and enable others to do the same.

Whilst doing this continue that importation of those you care about to this safe zone. Try to get spare rooms ready incase a friend of a friend needs it. Talk with local landlords and find the good ones, they exist rare as they are. Same with business owners. This will be easier if you've been volunteering and doing outreach.

I must highlight the importance of ideological IMPURITY here. Too often have leftist movements failed because someone has a take slightly off of what we agree with or because their stance is too extreme or not extreme enough. The time for these debates are when we have power and we have the least amount of power now than most of us ever have had in living memory. Push past the differences. Find common ground. Listen intently and answer kindly. Every soul with you and enriching your budding community makes it one hundred times stronger.

Preperarion. Learn useful skills. Practice the once you have. Position yourselves to enter local power structures such as Home owner associations, parent teacher orgs, local government, even local law enforcement. Work hard and get promoted whilst making friends at work. Prep to organize, from unions to neighborhood watches to community gardens and events. Buy property. Work the land. Secure sources of clean water and food. Start a business. Continue to learn and hone your skills. The goal isn't for you to become self sufficient, but instead to become a pillar of the community. So that an attack on any member of your community is an attack on everyone.

After that? As hard as this truth may be I need you to internalize it. If you can, have children. Adopt or biological or just Volenteer to help kids. That's why we prepare and why we are willing to fight. Not just for ourselves or our loved ones but so that the next generation can have a better shot than we ever could have dreamed of. The trolly problem is a false premise. The sad truth is there are times where we must collectively be willing to stop that trolly so those on the tracks of the future can have that future. But we must also ensure someone can untie them once that trolly of tyranny is stopped. That's why you're building a community, that's why you're building skills, it's so some people can untie those trapped and offer them a way forward.

Our greatest power is empathy. Our greatest foe is fear and indifference. I know this is asking a lot. I know this is asking for something completely different than most of us hear. But it is the way forward, not just through this dark time we find ourselves in but beyond.

We don't just need to survive, we need to fight for and ensure the future.

It becomes apparent that all we have at the end of the day is each other. I know many of you are upset right now, feeling listless, hurt, betrayed, and terrified of the future. I get it, I really really do. For those who don't know I'm disabled and trans. Ive had Really bad medical issues since I was 13 years old and had to basically fight tooth and nail for 8 years with doctors for them to figure out what's wrong with me. There wasn't a term for what that was, at the time and now there's semi offical one but it's very rare. After the diagnosis I spent about a year in limbo before being approved for social security disability, social security disability insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid. Due to my young age and the recently passed affordable care act, also known as Obama care I was able to remain on my parents insurance as well.

Many people say my lot in life is unfair and to this day my family still thinks I'll magically get better. That one day I'll wake up and be able to go to college and get a job, get married, have kids, and then retire. It's a projected expectation by folks who don't really know me. They don't know I'm asexual. Or trans (i just started hrt a year ago, although I can only do remarkably small doses due to my medical issues). They certainly don't know I'm in a loving long distance poly relationship and won't have any idea to respond to me being otherkin. They still make awful jokes about me being agnostic despite ample evidence to the contrary. They also know I'm a leftist and tend to give me massive shit about it too.

So trust me when I say I get it. And I get how shitty the next few months are going to be without even addressing the return of the 45th administration. We all have family members who are super excited and happy right now, poised to drink in how much all of us are in pain. Do yourself a favor and skip Thanksgiving and maybe Christmas, even if it's hard. Send your folks a card and maybe write out something heartfelt once you can think better in it's place.

Because at the end of the day we need to elan on one another and try to show grace as well as empathy. Many people on our family and communities will not respond to thatnand instead break any attempts to get them to understand. That's a sign that you need to distance yourself. Others are going to become numb and tuned out as they focus only on themselves. These are the people you need to truely reach out to, to try and show them that there's a path forward because they are lost right now.

I know this will take a lot of effort, and a lot of spoons. But, I told all of you about my situation to highlight how utterly devestated and heartbroken I was last night. Now that I'm past that storm, looking forwards as someone who survived Bush and Trump 1 as well as countless other hardships including living in highly abusive places, natural disasters, and more; well. The only reason I'm still here is because of those I love and consider kin.

Chances are, no matter what happens the united states is going to change dramatically over the next four years. It's going to resemble less of a connected nation and more of a confederacy or union of smaller nations. For some of us, those nations will openly be trying to destroy us through at best, legal and political ratfuckery. You will NEED to leave these places and head to safer areas in the United States. If things get truely dire we will need to apply for political asylum elsewhere however I suspect New York and North of that as well as Hawaii and the west coast will be safe. Despite the results and history, I suspect Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia may also be viable but it's hard to say. If you arnt in these areas begin to plan your exit. Ideas of fleeing the country before things get dire will be difficult not just due to monitary reasons but the fact that most countries do not want refugees, even from America.

But, we need to remember that atleast half the country is on our side. That there are communities and good people out there who want to stand with us. Who understand that the beauty of America is its diversity, tolerance, and social welfare. Our best, our very best defense is to reinforce these communities. To get to know our neighbors, to set up means of self sufficiency, and to ensure we're all in this together. That's also why moving somewhere that's more accepting, especially with people you love is important. I know how hard it is, to pack up your life and to flee from an abuser. It's worth it, and yes; soemtimes the abuser can be a state. Do it anyway. Trust me, itel be hard then it will get better.

For those who feel a bit more secure in your identity and chances to not be declared a second class citizen or worse you still need to prepare. Many of us may need your help and any skills you can refine will be of assistance. Even having a spare bedroom ready incase some trans teen is trying to flee a conversion camp or a woman needs medical help and networking to find it is a ton. Beyond that though, there's the fact that with the comming mass deregulation many instutions we take for granted will get worse.

Education. Our utilities. Food safety. Social welfare. Medical care. These are the five big ones that come to mind for me. Thankfully, they are all mitigated with a strong community. Talk with your neighbors, form a plan. Get generators, water preservation/purification, and food creation as well as preservation ready. Stockpile medications. Learn first aid. Get shelter ready for guests. Try to find somewhere to live where there's no landlord or they're not a price of shit. Consider looking into how to teach and homeschooling or start going to pta meetings. If you've considered adopting take steps towards it. These are how we are going to stay alive and how we are going to weather this storm whilst saving those we care about.

By living in a way that aligns with the world we want to be in, by being true to ourselves and having empathy we will bring some people to our cause. There will be crulties inflicted upon us, but with strong communities we can endure it. Those of us who are lawyers, those of us with real money and connections, those of us who are doctors or teachers or who have other special skills? Find a way to make yourself know and avaliable to our community. The only way to thrive will be for us to be self sufficient and to find friends in the media. I know many of us hide for our own protection but that may not be an option anymore; and it's better to come out on our terms than to be forced. Prepare.

The silver lining here is some of the shit the next administration wants to do is so unhinged I suspect many Americans won't stand for it once push comes to shove. Many people voted the way they voted because they're tuned out of the media, don't understand or have the curoristy to understand what either party wanted, and ultimately just remember the stimulus checks from Trump and the lack of checks from Biden. It's petty. It's stupid. But that's what it is. There isn't malice in their hearts, just fear and a desire to pay the rent. Stonewall. Vietnam. The current free palistine movement. These are what got people on our side and changed our nation for the better and all of that came from us speaking our truth.

So that's what we must do. To embrace who we are with love, grace, and dignity. To find places we can do this safely, places with protection, and with other marginalized groups who are feeling just what we are feeling right now. It's going to be difficult but it's also going to be okay. Trust me, we can get through this together.

Stay in touch. Get folks on discord and other social media. If you are a creator please consider getting a part time job in case their desire for a porn ban happens. Hone your skills. Prepare your hearth. And hold onto each other.

Fur affinity means a lot to me. I've been really struggling to contemplate life without this place. It's a relic from a time when the internet was more free and a sort of symbol for how these sorts of websites should operate. Yes it's a touch clunky, yes it's a touch dated, and yes it's understaffed by wonderful people who deserve a lot more love but compare it to any contemporary.

Deviant art comes to mind and that's a nightmare hellscape of AI images, advertisements, people doing skeevy shit, and is so bloated it's unusable. Tumblr got bought out and is another nightmare. We've all seen what Elon has done to Twitter. There are smaller places, sofurry, transfur, and more but they're underdeveloped and cater to a specific niche. Then we have image re-upload boards where it's the wild west and there's little artistic control...

What I'm saying is this site is special. This community is special. We are growing as a culture and becoming something far bigger and relevant than any of us thought was possible and... It sucks that one of the key catalysts for this won't be around to see it's continued growth. They will not be forgotten.

As far as my prose goes? Download what you like. Maybe leave a comment. Anything older is from a time I hardly recall but I'm very proud of my recent works. My comms? Again, if you like them download them. Same with others work. Try to source the creator, something I did a bad job of with some old comms and I feel horrible about. Record keeping is REALLY important guys.

That said word on the street through my sources say that it's looking like FA is going to go to auction to recoup some medical debt. I have no idea what the starting bid would be. I have no idea what person or people who desire profit would do with this site because I don't see anyone outside of our community advertising here. Maybe some grifters will try to take all the art here and turn it into an image bot (as if that hasn't been done already) or a competitor will buy it to shut it down.

That said... Us furries? We got deep pockets. We got connections. Some of us, somehow, are actually important people Invovled with business and politics. Who knows, maybe some folks will empower the staff here to aquire the website and keep it as it is, maybe as some sort of LLC (as it is) or an artist co-op.

We have developed our own identity and collective culture. One that's pretty accepting of most folks out there and one that cares deeply about respecting creative ownership. I've been seeing a push in a lot of spaces for more consent based stuff which is awesome and... Look, I know there's strong feelings about the recent rules concerning sizes and ages but it's a step in the right direction even if it was mishandled and done sloppily.

We could, if we wanted become an actual bloc of people with some political power which is scary. It requires us to give up certain things so we can all achieve some level of comfort together and so that other communities who are allied with us can be more accepting of us. Queer communities, bdsm ones, alternative identity movements, alternative philosophical thought, and transhumanist come to mind. I'd like for us to emulate inclusive punk movements who let everyone through the door but the skin heads and the nationalists. For us to be a safe place for everyone who thinks that there are countless correct ways to live and for us to ally with other groups that do the same under one big fuzzy umbrella.

We need to decide our core values.

And that brings me back to this site. And one thing I adore about furaffinity is how it advertised. How artists bought ads. How members with the means to support the site did so. How we see artists in need and reach out before shouting their socials. How if someone passes we remember them, paying homage and keeping them alive. How we make random raffles and gifts for one another. To me, This community feels more like a family than my biological one ever did.

So... I guess what I saying is... Even if furaffinity goes away as a website? We can keep that spirit going and let it inspire us to be better. <3

Adhd pending of course. And there's still a lot of art in the works. I've helped a lot of folks over the years with a no time limit on drawing something up for me. As far as new writing well... I've been doing voice training and I may have a rough demo of a fun little relaxation script penned out. Beyond that there's a chance some private roleplay may be cleaned up but... If I'm being honest? A part of me wants to move all of my writing into scraps and focus on my shamanisim here. There's a lot of grifters and charlatans in the field and I want to help guide whoever I can the right way.

Those of you who know me well know I Comission a fair bit of art from folks and I also talk with a fair amount of writers and artists about ideas. If I go the route of dedicating this to my practice anything I do end up writing or recording will be posted on the accounts of other creators.

I apologize for those who enjoy my work, but the truth is between my medical problems, chronic fatigue, spirtual work, transitioning into a real life lady, and my wonderful poly I just don't have the drive for solo writing. Most of my words these days are spent roleplaying with partners or penning out prayers to the spirits and gods. For all things there is a season and it's possible I may end up writing new stories again but for now that simply isn't in the cards.
