Back to Basics...
Posted 7 years agoI've returned, after quite a hiatus, to Fur Affinity. Or rather more accurately, I've returned to actively uploading art. I'd long relegated myself to just another figure silently strolling through galleries now and then.
I've always maintained a presence here on FA as well as DeviantArt (DA), but the majority of my work resides on the later. My art is usually fairly divided between anthro and non-anthro subjects, but I've refrained from uploading most of my art here as I thought it would garner little attention. I'm interested to find out whether or not those watching would be interested in me uploading more of my non-anthro subjects here. I wouldn't be uploading older pieces, only newer art going forward. Most of the new art would be uploaded to my scraps folder, as I would like to keep a more presentable and harmonious gallery from now on.
I'm also determined to become a professional artist. But with that determination comes the realization that I need to both, refine my skills, and build a stronger portfolio of work. I've gotten back into daily exercises; most of which, but not all, will be uploaded to my scraps folder on the weekly basis.
Most of my talent lies in traditional media, but I've been working toward embracing digital artistry. To that end, most of the art I upload here will be digital art, however, I'll still be uploading scans/photos of traditional media irregularly.
I will also be making preparations to accept commissions soon; but if that doesn't sound appealing, getting feedback on what you like, hate, or where I need to improve is much appreciated.
I'm also, still very much a fan of other artists. If you'd find my own perspectives valuable or would just like to chat, feel free to drop a comment or a note. It's quite inspiring to engage with other artist and might help us avoid the ever dreadful slump/drought of ideas!

Posted 15 years agoI've encountered a trying circumstance lately. I've rifled through an old manila folder, now overflowing with drafts, notes, and art (before I owned a PC) to help recall some nostalgia, that youthful energy, I possessed so long ago. Being so creatively dry of late, I just haven't picked up the pencil near as much (maybe every other week) as before, even though I've made great progress in skill. I suppose it means I'm growing as both a person and an artist. It's natural to want to relive the past, and I can do that through memories and art, but I'm sure this is a sign that I'm blinded to what's important: What's happening in my life here and now. I've been so caught up reliving the past that I've been dead in the present. So many missed inspirations...so many missed opportunities. I've much thinking and catching up ahead...

I'm pretty sure I have a a few bits to upload around here if (I can find them) to wet yer pallets till I get back on the ball. Pearls piece should be done soon (I hope, I've redrawn the damn piece near twenty times. CURSE MY PERFECTIONIST SENSIBILITIES!!!).
I'm pretty bored so if anyone has a request I can take up to 3.

I've had a fun day today (racing my cousins car on foot for one)

Tryin Something new...
Posted 15 years agoI've ghosted the community of years but have been afraid to jump in; however, now that I'm older I've decided to try new things with the old and, since I'm an art junkie ,I figured why not post some magic at one of my favorite spots.
Well The doors finally opened and I was allowed to join the club. All I need to do now is pass initiation by submitting some work.
My prime motivation in setting up here is to gather a larger pool of criticism and advice in my anthro pieces.
There, a little blunt, but it's 8am and my brain is still warming up the creative depth. !st Journal entry!
