Today is my birthday!

Oh well, this old pup can still dance, and I'm headed to a show at The Loft tonight, first time I've done anything for my birthday in years.

Yesterday, we finally had to put my dog to sleep. I'm not normally for the idea, as I would rather them go on their own but he had a rough night on Friday and it was just to hard on him to keep him around without being selfish.
See, for the last half year he'd been going down hill steadily. The vets were never quite sure what was wrong, but he was just in alot of pain. My mom was heartbroken and she tried everything to make him feel better and comfortable. A hormone emitter to calm his nerves, new bed, who knows how much money on medication for pain and arthritis, and so many other things I've just lost track. She gave it a good try, and it did give us a few more months with him I'm sure, but it was no long term solution.
It was the hardest thing I've ever had to do, but I was glad I could be there for him. He died in my mothers arms around 2:15pm, and I can't help but feel so guilty about it all. I wish we didn't have to do it...
He now rests in Luck, WI in a grave my father and brother dug for him. Chilie Bean was the best dog I could ever have asked for, and I'm not just saying that. Loyal, obedient, the friendliest thing you'd ever meet... He was just a beacon of happiness. He never lost that puppy in him, even after 13 years. I love that dog, and its going to be hard to not have him around.

Yesterday's MNFurs Spring Picnic
General | Posted 15 years ago I had a great time the other day, alot more then I thought I would in fact. It was raining all day and I thought I'd stop by for an appearance and then be off. After all, I figured the rain would pretty much keep any picnic like outdoorsy activities to a minimum (and it did). Yet I found that really, mingling among friends was enough to occupy me for quite a few hours.
There were plenty of furs there that I haven't seen in a long time, whose company I was reminded of how much I missed. Of course, I had to introduce myself to a few furs I didn't know as well. Hopefully I can remember their names... Heh. There were some who weren't there for various reasons, but I assure you they can't escape a jackal that easily...
The food there was fantastic, just to note. Raven's cheesecake was shoved down my throat within a minute of my arrival, as well as Tank's cupcake. Both were excellent of course, but starting off with so many sweets nearly killed me (I have a weak tummy when it comes to sugar). It didn't stop me from enjoying Earthshine's hot chili, or Gino's venison sausages, plus an assortment of more sweets... Bah, my tummy wasn't happy with me but what can you do? Its a picnic!
A bunch of us went out to Denny's for a post-picnic final hurrah. I know I know, It's Denny's. I didn't go there for the amazing food mind you, I just didn't want to call it a night so soon. Not really much to say about it, just more chitter and food, but it was a good note to leave the day on.
Even if I didn't remember to take my camera out of my car, the lack of pictures didn't ruin my time a bit. This all has made me so much more excited for Anthrocon, and I definitely can't wait for the fall picnic either. :3

Definitely me, it kind of just slipped out.
3. Who is the morning person?
Hmm... Well, I guess I am, if only because I can make it through a whole day on only a couple hours of sleep without keeling over half way through. We both sleep in pretty bad when we can though.
4. Who sings better?
I haven't heard her sing nor talk about it, so I'm not sure. I've been told I'm decent when I try though.
5. Who’s older?
Me, by an incredible 4 days!
6. Who’s smarter?
There's no way that durp is smarter then me...
7. Whose temper is worse?
I haven't seen her lose her head yet, just get into a lil bit of a funk. I'm pretty chill myself, unless I'm driving... Hey, you'd rage at idiots easily too if you drove for a living! D:<

We do our own, would save the hassle of sorting in the end. Though I guess our cloths really can't get 'mixed up' since I'd wear hers anyway. :3

I tend to sleep on the right side for the most part, I have no idea why. But it really doesn't matter, so long as we are entangled in a nice bedtime cuddle. <3

We both are pretty good at serious business, and talking things out.

2 of my rats were named by my ex, the rest by my family. Though my cat Smokey is rarely called that, my family uses the name I gave him... Fatboy. <3

I slipped one on her during a movie in bed... it was a complete accident, and such a fail kiss. We had a redo a few minutes later though, and that was perfect. <3

I asked her out, as we stood in front of the hotel window with only the moon to light up her face... it couldn't have gone better.
25. What did you do on your first date?
She came up to see me for 4 days on Valentine's weekend, and when we see each other we go out alot. I suppose the first dedicated romantic evening out though was our trip to Osaka for Valentine's day. Hibatchi grill and daquiris... whats not to love?

New Year Resolutions
General | Posted 16 years ago1) I will do more art work. I've been slacking in this department for a few years and my technique has suffered from it. Plus, I usually found alot of enjoyment out of it, so I really want to reinvigorate this part of my life. Photography, illustration, pastels, even painting are all on my list of things to play around with.
2) Continuing to improve on my physical well being. I've done a good job of being a healthier person, ya know... eating right and exercising but you can't stop. Its a dedicated thing, if I want to keep sexy I have to stick with it!
3) I will party much harder. I miss the raves, the lights, and the music. Even house parties are on my radar. I just can't be so mellow all the time anymore. I started going to clubs again toward the end of the year, so it can only get better from this point right?
4) Opening myself up to dating again. I'm not going to actively pursue a relationship and I'm defiantly not going to aim for long terms right away, but I won't continue to shy away from the idea either. Casual dating... seems like a good place to start.

- I can say with every ounce of my being that I helped save someones life. Spending the past three years tending to my ex's dad, Ray, with everything that I could has paid off; He is now in remission. No one can take that from me.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
- I did, I wanted to start taking better care of myself both mentally and physically. Both I've come a long way with. I'm not entirely sure what I'll promise myself for next year...
3. How will you be spending New Year's Eve?
- Not sure, I don't have any concrete plans from any camp yet.
4. Did anyone close to you die? - Yes, Sara's (my ex) mom. She had been taking away from us after a short battle with lung cancer. I had come to think of her as my second mother and it was difficult to see her go. I only hope she is at peace now.
5. What countries did you visit?
- I've never left the USA and that hasn't changed.
6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?
- To find someone to call my other half, who won't treat me as a last priority.
7. What date from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
- Early July, when my heart was broken and the world I had lived in for the past three years shattered.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
- Managing to attend MFF, the first furcon I've been to since '07.
9. What was your biggest failure?
- Not getting enough work done on my art portfolio.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
- I rarely get sick, strong immunity ya know.

- Either my '95 Honda Civic Hatchback or my Nintendo DSi. I mean, my car gets me places and has alot of potential but my DSi is just awesome in my pocket.

- Gas, coffee, eating out, cloths, and general entertainment.

- Avril Lavigne - "When You're Gone"

- I wish I had gotten more art done, I feel I've been slipping in that regard for quite a long time.

General | Posted 16 years agoMidwest FurFest, oh how I am glad I attended this year. It was only my 3rd con ever but it was my first time with anything that wasn't AnthroCon. I believe I still like AC more overall but MFF felt a bit more personable. I’m so proud to be a midwester fur!
I do have to say how much I loved the suits this year as well, not to mention all the artwork. The people that attended this con were extremely talented and I can only hope to be among them one day.

It had been a great convention and I am so happy it turned out as well as it did. I deepened existing relations and gained new ones. I honestly have to say its the best time I’ve had all year.

Its my birthday!!!

I don't have anything special planned for it nore anything to celebrate the fact I was even born. Beyond that I have to work on the actual day of my birth. :/
So I'm kinda allowed to wallow a bit. >.>
Not to mention I'm going to be 22... this is it, the beginning of the end. I am officially on the tract to becoming old... @.@
Anywho, I'll figure something out I'm sure. :3

The big fur picnic!
General | Posted 16 years agoThis past Saturday's picnic was fantastic! Best time I've had in a year without a doubt. :3
I got to drive
Kibaoftheleaves and his bro to the picnic, I couldn't just let them miss such a big day ya know? I may be going out on a limb but it looked like they had fun...
I think the first fur I knew that I had seen once I got there was
CaptainSaicin who I might add made chili for the picnic. It was my go-to thing to stuff my face with that day because it was so good! Every one else thought it was really spicy but I thought it was middle range so his last batch, which I'll pretend was made specifically because of me, was made extra spicy and it was just that much better!
I finally got to spend some time with
Kadjet who I've been creepin' on for awhile now, turns out the bunbun is pretty cool. Hard to believe considering hes from North Dakota amiright? It was all good though, when we were walking along the beach it was the first time I can honestly say I was impressed with someones rock skipping abilities...
Course
Drakowolf was there too, I chittered that pup up as much as I could since the foo decided it would be funny to make friends then MOVE AWAY! *huffs* At least I got to huggle him lots. ^-^
shadowquine and Bob decided to take a bit to show up, but it was good that they did... I needs mah Pony. ;-;
He couldn't get away free like that though so I decided to pounce him while he was playing volleyball during his serve. Totally screwed him up and it was full of win. :]
Someone else was a bit late but he had an excuse on account of work and getting a smidge lost hehe. Of course though when TheSomething showed up I had to give him a snug. I didn't see much of him though but that's ok, he was off getting artsy which I really should have done too. @.@
If anything was off at all during the day though it was because my favorite ringtail with an inner dolphin complex
Nauta wouldn't sit still long enough for me to pester him! I really need to bring a stapler with me next time and anchor his tail down to something. >.>
Oh and lets give
Umbra a round of applause! He finally decided to show up to a meet which by no coincidence I'm sure turns out to be one of the biggest of the year. I never caught him up a tree though so the foxy musta had fun.. oh wait I KNOW he had fun, the meet wasn't his only first that night hehe. ;3
I got to catch a bit of time with a few other furs too.
WehrWolf decided to wear an East German outfit at some point during the picnic which I thought was really rad. 
H-Dub and I got to chitter up a bit, though I can't remember any of it hehe. I also have to admit that after watching 
Pretzel draw my loathing (yet secret love) for him has grown. Oh, and lets not forget the 8-bit tunes and other awesomes played by the one and only 
CircuitWolf!
Oh, and give me a shout if I missed ya. I don't mean to if I did, Its prolly a mixture of it being late, my bad memory, and me possibly not knowing your FA... x3
