Now... The demo was fun, but that's all I know. I haven't exactly been given a copy myself, so I haven't played it. I wasn't a part of the team, and this isn't a review. But a friend was helping the team, and I'd be a bad friend if I didn't help promote it for them. Looks good. Go try it for yourself. They don't really do my style of stuff, so don't expect anyone's heads to go rolling or anything (at least as far as I know).

Okay, it's not actually that bad, but I did cut a small chunk off the tip of my left index finger. Our kitchen knives are super sharp, yo!

Unfortunately, the bandage covering it while it heals makes typing really hard, and why the hell do so many words have a fucking T in them!? >_< Unfortunately, all my writing is on hold while this heals because of that, and it's not exactly comfortable to press it against a key, especially at the speeds I tend to type at. No 90+ WPM for a while.

T_T It's killing me to not write anything.

Should be healed up enough in a few days, but still sucks. It is looking better than it did a few days ago. Still red as fuck where the raw skin is exposed. At least I didn't cut into the nail. My mother did that last year, and it took several weeks for it to finally heal enough that it didn't hurt to type.

Still have a few early access stories that will be coming in the next week, but will be a pause after those.

Today is my 41st birthday. Happy birthday me.
Don't have much in the way of plans, other than chilling, maybe watching some movies, and eating some cheesecake.

About freaking time! Some may have noticed, I've changed mine to now be XP Author, making it more consistent with everywhere else that I post (and how I sign my stories). I have no idea how that works in new posts and updates, let alone how tagging names will work, but I'm just so glad it's actually a thing now! People on my Discord have already been told about all this, but I realized I haven't said anything publicly about it. So I wanted to do an update on my health and what's been happening this past week.

Last Sunday, I hurt my back. My chair had an issue and the back of it gave out. Turns out it was a bit worse than I'd thought, pinching some nerves at my spine. They gave me some dysentery-like symptoms, which laid me out when not trapping me in the bathroom for almost three days. I even kept spiking a fever.

Now, thankfully, the sick part of that has cleared up, but the back is still an issue. It isn't debilitating, thanks to my professional knowledge of stretches and the like, but it is still painful. Not surgery painful, but aches and cramping muscles.

Now, I was SUPPOSED to be going to a convention on the 2nd, but unfortunately, because of this, I will not. Boo, I know. But there is no way I'm going to survive being stuck in a car for hours with my back cramping up like this, let alone sleeping on an unfamiliar bed or sitting in the very uncomfortable chairs at the convention itself.

I doubt this will have a HUGE impact on anything in the future, but a heads up that there is always a chance. Yay for getting old.

Happy New year. AND! Today marks the anniversary of when I first made these new accounts and started posting my works.
Obviously I've been writing for significantly longer than that, but this is still kind of a big deal.

I'd normally have done a story for this, but December was surprisingly busy for me offline. Hopefully things will calm down in the next few weeks.

Happy October. Quick update, since I haven't given one in a while. As I like to do in October, I've got something coming for this month that I think you will like. Short series that will be posted every Thursday, with the last chapter dropping on Halloween itself. You'll find out more about it when the first chapter drops this Tursday.

In other news, I am still working on the Death Dash story. I'm getting close to the last few segments, so if all goes well, I'll have that out for everyone by the end of the month, too! It's... a lot longer than I thought it would be, but eh, should be fine.

That's about all for now. Oh, and since this has come up a few times, no I'm still not taking commissions yet, and I don't have an idea when I will. Too many things going on with me personally right now to worry about adding more to worry about.

Hopefully I'll have another really awesome update to share soon, too, but I don't want to say much about it until it's ready. Something to look forward to.

Dragoneer. The man has passed. Many have had issues with either him, and how he ran things around here, including myself. But there is no denying that he made quite the hub of furry content here, for better or worse. I would and have never wished ill on the man himself. Love him or hate him, it is sad when someone passes like this.

But there is an issue that it raises. One of what will happen to FA moving forward. There are others in charge, so I doubt it will suddenly dry up and die. But there is no telling what will happen with the site in the future, or what changes will come. As a few others have said, hope for the best, prepare for the worst.
So it is on that particular note that I just want to make sure everyone knows the different places they can find me should that worst happen.

YES! The time is finally upon us. I am doing the 2024 Death Dash, with community additions. However, this year will be slightly different. The dash will have already ended, this story being the clean up crew dealing with aftermath. So what do I need from y'all? CORPSES!

The competition will have been a big free-for-all battle on a forested island around the size of Key West, with hidden weapons and traps. So deaths could be from hands, claws, ropes, and blades; all the way up to possible guns, or even explosive traps. Or even having slipped off a cliff or fallen out of a tree and broken their neck. Beaten, broken, fucked-to-death, all acceptable. So you can be creative here.

Every participant's character will get at least a small scene with their corpse being described as it is collected by the clean up crew, and possibly played with. The order in which characters shows up will be chosen by me, as the narrative flows, but everyone will show up at least once.

I am opening a number of slots (about 20) for characters to be corpses.
It will be $5 for a slot, up front. Only one person per slot, one character per person. No multiple slots unless they don't get filled by the end of next week, then I'll make an announce that I'll take a second round.
Payment must be through Paypal or KoFi (do not pay until we've gone over details).
Contact me via notes, whispers, or discord (not comments to this post) with character details.
You can note, whisper, or comment any questions you might have.
Please know what you would like before you reserve a slot. I will only hold a slot for 24 hours.
If I don't hear what you want by then, I will give the slot to someone else.

There are some requirements:
- The character must be your own, no asking for someone else's character.
- The character will be dead, so you must be okay with that. No 'secretly faking it' nonsense.
- Characters must be 18+ only. No cubs, since this will be posted to FA and SF (sorry)
- Characters must be anthro only. No ferals, quads, human, or near-humans (orc, dwarf, elf, etc)
- No Pokemon. This takes place within my Alta Ferro / D-Gen canon, and they don't exist there.
- Exotic species are fine, but within reason. Hybrids are also fine.

What I need for the character details:
- Name (I can help with this. A D-Gen username would also be nice, but again, I can help)
- Species (See above for restrictions there)
- Description (fur color, height, build, bust size, cock size, etc. Reference images help, but not required.)
- Gender (male, female, trans, intersex, all okay)
- How they would have fought in the competition (ambusher, direct attacker, trap setter, weapons they might use, how they might try to kill, etc.)
- How you would like them to have died during the competition.
- If you are okay with someone 'playing' with their corpse. The clean up crew are kinky like that. Not everyone's will be played with, but everyone will get at least a small scene.
- And lastly, if you would like to be credited for your character's participation, or left anonymous (no additional charges)

No, really, I am. I've had a lot of people asking me lately. Now, I'm not upset by this. I'm actually quite grateful that there are people who care. So thank you to everyone that has asked.
Though I am curious. Have I been projecting a feeling that I'm not doing alright? I'm sorry if I have, I don't mean to worry people. Been working on not complaining as much as I know I can.

Though it may be due to a recent... incident in a private discord server. I should probably address that somewhat, though I won't go into details, or name any names, so don't ask. It was most certainly not my greatest moment. The place was a somewhat... toxic environment for me, and my exit was... the opposite of graceful. Or polite. In fact, I kind of made an ass of myself. It had become a bad place for me to be. Not to say that the people there were toxic (though some definitely were) but I should have left long before I let myself get to that state of mind. Something of a failing of mine. For the people who were there to see that, sorry for the drama. But I'm out of that environment, which is doing me some good.

So yes, overall, I'm doing quite well. A bit more tired than normal, I suppose, but that happens. Just need to eat a bit better, I've let that get slacking.
In fact, I have some exciting things coming down the pipeline soon. So stay tuned for that. Going to be announcing something big in the next few weeks. Not the book yet, but that is also coming along (the cover is looking great so far!)

I have completed Noxumbra Files! 17 chapters with all the parts, over 84,000 words! This is officially my first novel! I have written my first BOOK!

So I am assembling it into a book! I am collecting all of the chapters together into one big collection. This will be a digital-only book, but you will have options of the format: doc, pdf, or epub. Since I have been releasing all of the chapters for free, I'm going to be distributing it using itch.io in a pay-what-you-want format. This way you can get it free, or you can throw some money at me, which would be nice, since money is a little tight right now.

However, I still need a few things. Most importantly: I need a cover. So this is where I turn to my community (you lot). Who wants to make the cover for my first ever book!?

What I would like is simple. A clean (G-rated) piece of the two main characters, Tag and Ginny, back to back in a side profile view. Tag looking either sad or determined, and Ginny with a wild grin. The background should be simple. Either a wall, an alley, a modern city in silhouette, cloudy night sky, or just a dark gradient. Something I can still put the title of the book on (I can add that part after).

Now, I'm not asking people to just donate their time and skills. I am willing to pay for this as a commission, and you will be given credits as the cover artist, and I will link to your account (should you wish).

The question: Do I write Fan Fiction?

Short answer: Yes. But...

Longer answer:
I do write fan fiction. As in, stories set in known worlds (Final Fantasy, Star Wars, Doctor Who, Etc), using characters and concepts from those things (Freya Crescent, Jedi, The TARDIS, etc). Here is where the but comes in. If I am not familiar with the fandom or piece of media or whatever... I'm not comfortable making a story about it. And I'm not very likely to go out of my way to learn it just for a story.

This has come up a few times. Someone asking me to do a story with (character) from (game) or (show) or (movie) that I simply don't know. Then when I say I don't know, they link me some youtube, or where it's available. I appreciate it, but it's not going to change my answer.

See, here's the thing. As a writer, the way I write is characters first, setting second, situation third. Characters in a setting, dealing with a situation. If I don't know the characters or the setting... I can't really write how they would act in a situation. I don't know them, or what's normal in that setting.

"But you write other people's OCs!" you say. Yes I do, but only if the owner of said OC is the one asking, or in very rare cases, has permission from the owner, but I still far prefer to deal with the person whose OC that is directly. That way, I can ask them specifically "How would this character act?" People are far more giving of details for their own character than "Make Lola Bunny fuck someone." That goes in with the presupposed idea that I know who Lola Bunny is, and how she would act. And even then... which version? The original horny version, the 2011 crazy version, or the modern girlboss version?

So. How can you know if I know the fandom? Easy: ask me. Just respect if I don't. Good rule of thumb, the closer to the 80's and 90's you get, the more likely I am to know it. More modern stuff I'm far less likely to know or care to know. This is not true for everything, but it's a good general curve to figure out how likely I am to be aware of whatever you're going to ask me about. Also, Video games are more likely than TV or movies. And almost never manga or anime. I'm a gamer at heart.

So, the answer is: Yes... but only if I know it.

So, quick update. I've been pretty open that I live in Austin, TX. For anyone checking the news this morning, you'll see that one of the suburbs about 20 miles north of the city is currently ON FIRE! While that is pretty close to me, it's not hitting me directly. It also seems mostly contained, but still keeping an eye on the news because... y'know, wildfire. I'll update if the situation changes for me.

However, one of my friends DOES live directly in the path and has had to be evacuated. She is safe, but might have some issues because her apartment is right in the middle of that mess. So please keep some prayers for her and others effected by this.

So. Everyone is still losing their collective mind about the changes happening on Twitter, the latest being the logo change. I would just like to take this time to state...
