Posted a year agoWHEW. Can't believe it but after so many years away, I'm FINALLY heading back to Pittsburgh for AnthroCon this year! The Zoo Crew and I haven't gone since 2018 and it's been sorely missed having this time to spend together and hit the con with them all! But it's finally happening! I'm both nervous and excited! I'm hoping to have a fun time with the gang and make some comms and connections and see what's new at the con this year!
Where are you staying?
This time we're actually staying at the DoubleTree Hotel instead of the Omni like we did in previous years!
What day are you getting there?
Thursday! Phie (formerly ChowChow), Guppy, and I are driving in separately while Stray and Tiikeri are heading there early to procure our hotel!
Who will you be rooming with?
My dear Zoo Crew! Alice_Alexia Alice_Alexia, tiikeriftw tiikeriftw, chowchow chowchow, & Guppy the Jackalope are reuniting and it feels so good! I've missed these beautiful beasts so much <3
Who will you hang out with during the convention?
Along with the Zoo Crew, my dear friend dinothechocobo dinothechocobo will be joining the fun once again! He's actually been to AnthroCon several times since we stopped so he's a regular veteran by now! And of course we're always open to having extra friends join in the festivities and hang out! So long as you aren't creeps!
What is the best way to find you?
We'll be around the regular Pittsburgh area from the DoubleTree Hotel to the convention center, we tend to not to stray too far from that area! chowchow chowchow,& I will be in the Artist's Alley Friday, Saturday, and Sunday trying to get commissions so check out our table! Are there any panels you will be attending?
We always hope to attend some panels but we never seem to get to any in time. So much to do though!

Nope! I've been pretty clean my whole life, but I'm not opposed to people who do, just kindly don't smoke any cigarettes around me, it messes with my breathing

From Thursday to Sunday! Gonna hopefully be a nice long weekend with friends and fun!

Not really, I tend to hang with my crew and we all hang out either in the con, at a restaurant, shops, or in our room drawing and playing games! But if we're all invited somewhere, we'll probably go!
Will you be performing?
Nope, unless you want to hear me singing songs!

What's your goal(s) for the con this year?
My only goals for the con this year are the same as every year: To have as much fun with my friends as possible since I haven't seen them in almost a year and want to spend as much time with them as possible and to make more commissions than the last year. I got five good commissions so I'm hoping to top that this year and do good work for those who have faith in my artistic abilities! Last year was probably my favorite con so I'm hoping this year will top that!

Posted 7 years agoIt's about that time of year again! I was actually super worried I wouldn't be able to attend this year because of changes (good changes) with my Zoo Crew spanning out into their own little adventures but thankfully we're getting the band back together! So expect to see a chocobo, jackalope, canid, tiger, wolf, and tyrannosaurus making the scene in Pittsburgh starting this upcoming Thursday! We're gonna paint the con red!
Where are you staying?
Once again the luxurious Omni! It's a nice walk to the Center every year, its affordable but gorgeous to stay in, and they always treat us pretty great!
What day are you getting there?
Hoping to be there by Thursday evening riding in a new rental car Alice & Tiikeri have procured! The Cube will be having its own little vacation this year but maybe it will take us there again in the future ^^

AnthroCon Meme 2017!!!
Posted 8 years agoWelp! It's getting to be that time of year again! We are a little over a month away from Anthrocon! A time for my friends and me to get out of our routines and our respective states and go on a fun road trip to beautiful Pittsburgh where we can enjoy the furry fandom and sell commissions in Artist's Alley and just have fun and enjoy each other's company! These past few months at work have been hectic and exhausting to say the least and it looks like it won't slow down any time soon so I'm very excited to get away from it for a little while. This summer is always the time I take vacations to Pittsburgh and Cape May and I hope that doesn't change any time soon!

Sick a few days before Valentine's! D:
Posted 10 years agoBeing stuck with a god-awful sore throat and congested nose is the freaking worst, especially a few days before Valentine's! Thankfully, no self-respecting young lady would even dream of being with a snot-nosed delinquent like yours truly! If anything, its a blessing in disguise. After all, no girlfriend means no hang-ups, no setting dates to hang out and do things. While its true I've never been lucky in love, I have been lucky in avoiding the Valentines blues. Its only natural, given the fact that I've always been alone when it comes to personal relationships. I don't think I'd be a good companion to any confident, modern-day working class woman. I'm too high-maintenance. Plus, all the women that I do like only see me as friends, and that's alright, I suppose! I don't make friends to get into something further. And I have lots of wonderful lady friends :) So, Valentine's Day will probably be spent hunkered in my bed watching cartoons on my computer and chillaxing, which is the greatest gift of all! To all the furries that do have a mate, Happy Valentine's Day to ya! And to all those that don't, Happy Valentine's Day to ya too!

Thezoologist2008 here just wanting to give the goings on for this upcoming AnthroCon this weekend, of which I am very excited to be participating in this year! I shall be traveling once again with my dear fur-iends alice_alexia, tiikeriftw, chowchow (who we're very excited to have joining us again after not being able to make it last year, and a new friend of hers joining us as well! Excitement!We'll be doing a lot of stuff this year, strolling around the center city of Pittsburgh, see all AnthroCon has to offer, and of course, deal in the Artist's Alley again! Now you might be wondering, what'll I be possibly selling this year at Artist's Alley? Well, for the past few years, I’ve been diligently working on a massive piece of fun artwork called a character meme, which was popular for a while on DeviantArt where an artist would draw a select number of their favorite characters and people would guess who those characters were. It was massive fun and I wanted to participate. At first it was a standard 25 select characters from various films, cartoons, books, video games and such, but slowly expanded exponentially to the point where I have just recently finished drawing over 1000 individual characters! I don’t think many people can boast that kind of number with their memes! And yes, they were all drawn completely from scratch with my own skills, of which I take great pride in! So, that said, this upcoming year at AnthroCon, I am offering both single character portraits and character memes ranging between 10 characters, 25, 50, and 100 characters! I will have plenty of selections for you to browse through of my own character memes I’ve made over the past few years to give you an idea of what I’m capable of! Here's an example on here I did for Alice_Alexia's favorites: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/13340837/ I will also be taking commissions for ACEO cards, portraits, sketches, drawings, and badges of your choice!
In terms of pricing I think this will work out:
• 1 Character Portrait/ACEO Card = $5.00
• 10 Favorite Character Meme = $10.00
• 25 Favorite Character Meme = $15.00
• 50 Favorite Character Meme = $25.00
• 100 Favorite Character Meme = $50.00
• Full Body Sketch = $5.00
• Colored Full Body Sketch = $10.00
• Additional Characters = $5.00 each
• Badges = $10.00
In terms of how the process will go about:
• At AnthroCon’s Artist Alley, I’ll have my entire collection of art both past and present on display for you to browse through!
• Once you commission me, it will be up to you to decide what kind of characters you’d like to have. They can be from anywhere you wish, whether its from your favorite books, movies, television series, cartoons, comics, video games, or even your own OCs! Once you figure out what characters you want, you can send me a note on FurAffinity (I’ll give you my FA name and web address when we meet!) and give me your list! I’ll take care of finding reference material and such to work from!
• In terms of characters, I’d appreciate it if you limit where your characters come from, i.e., try to limit 1 character per movie, show, book, etc. If you do want a pair of characters though, like Anna and Elsa from Frozen for example, I could see putting them together in a box. But try to limit that if you can, please! Lets get some diversity in your choices! I know you can think of a good variety of characters! And try to tell me where your characters are from in your note so I don’t have to look as hard to figure out where your characters are from, especially if I’m unfamiliar with them! With your lists, please try to be speedy in sending them in so I don’t have to hold up other commissioners. And bare in mind, I have a little bit harder time at drawing live-action characters but if you want some, I will do my absolute best to not butcher them, lol!
• I will be making a list of who commissions me so first come, first serve! So I will slowly make my way through the list. And keep in mind, 100 characters at least is quite a lot. I usually try to draw at least 10 characters a day depending on what’s happening around my home and daily life, and depending on a character, it can take a while. I will try to keep up all commissioners updated on my progress and try to be speedy about it! So please be patient!

Apologies to my commissioners!
Posted 12 years agoI wish to make the most humblest of apologies to those who have ordered ACEO cards from me at AnthroCon '13. I've been busy with work and trying to move out of my parents house that I haven't even had time to print them out. Of course, they've been completed, its just a matter of printing and mailing them. However, my mom was gracious enough to help me find a sturdy card stock paper that I can print them out on and they'll look super nice! I thank you all for being so patient and hope to get them sent out as soon as possible (might be at some point next week before I leave for my annual vacation to Cape May, New Jersey). I'll keep you all posted! And if any of you have not sent me a note with your mailing address, I'd greatly appreciate it! Thank you all!

Posted 12 years agoWell I just got back from AnthroCon '13 late last night around 2 with my dear fur-iends alice_alexia, tiikeriftw, and chowchow, and I have to say, what a wonderful time I had! I got to see my dearest friends from school, meet some new friendly faces, work on art, get some swag and gifts for lots of my friends back home, surprisingly still have a lot of money left over, meaning I didn't spend anywhere near as much as I thought I would, actually made a few bucks at Artist's Alley and can actually work on commissions today for those fine people who ordered something from me, and just enjoyed driving to and from Pittsburgh, which is just a beautiful BEAUTIFUL city in the mountains which I love. I loved spending time with my closest friends and meeting new ones! Hoping to continue going as an annual tradition with my dearest friends! <3 <3 <3

And I apologize to my friends and watchers, but I think that's because I don't have any reason to put anything up on here anymore. Other than my characters, there really isn't any art I feel would be necessary to share on this site. On the bright side, though, I did manage to learn a little bit more about furries and understand them a little bit better! You guys are a lot nicer than most people realize and I wish people would quit judging you all because of some of your activities or beliefs. Whatever the reason, I'll more than likely continue to be inspired by some of the great art and ideas on here. But, for now, I don't see any plans to submit anything on here in the foreseeable future.

Posted 14 years agoBeen having an awesome time at Anthrocon thus far. My friends Ginger_fish666, tiikeriftw, and chowchow have been showing me the ropes. I also had a bit of a revelation today that made me feel whole again. I realized that just because I love someone, doesn't mean I deserve them. My friend is with an awesome guy who truly is a perfect match for her and I couldn't be happier for the both of them =) Guess furries have more to teach me than people believe! =3
