Moving Accounts π
Posted 4 years agoBeen thinking about this for awhile, not because I have any particular issue with my account or anything, I just realized that the name I use most other places (in some form) was available, so... decided to nab it, while I could! Going to slowly work on uploading art over there, so if you want to drop a follow on my new account it would be hella appreciated!

Terms of Service [OCT 2020]
Posted 5 years agoTerms of Service
Updated my terms of service!
πbirthdayπ
Posted 5 years agoFirst thing's first: I'm taking today off from working on any commissions/responding to inquiries about them! Don't worry, I'll be back on 'em tomorrow!
Secondly; happy birthday, me!
I'm 21, and that's an odd thing to even think about considering the state of the world. Birthdays feel mundane and day to day and a thing that you shouldn't really be considering in a moment like this. It doesn't feel right. Right or not though, it is my birthday, I am 21, and I want to celebrate that I'm still here. I'm not necessarily celebrating any great progress, I don't look back on the past year and see any huge accomplishment, but it is something enough to still be alive. I don't think I ever dropped to the same lows this past year as I did the one before, so maybe it's a little less than it was then, but whatever.
Anyways, not going to dwell on the dark stuff; keep your heads up and happy birthday me.

Posted 5 years agoBeen a day where I felt suddenly motivated to do some organisation type stuff!
Not only did I do some better organisation of my art files, but I made a Trello! While I don't have much going on at the moment, I figured that the transparency and organisation even at this point would be a good thing to consider~

New Laptop!
Posted 5 years agoTechnically not new in the least, but new to me and a far and above better option than trying to continue drawing digitally on my phone where I could never go more than an hour. Of course, there's going to be a learning curve but I am looking forward to what I can do with this!
A Day Late But Just As Applicable
Posted 5 years agoI don't usually think of myself as a lucky person in most things; I've gone through a rough few years and in many ways I'm still in a rough situation, but through all those years I've been able to rely on one person.
feelingchimpy has been my best friend for six and a half years, and I've gone through many ups and downs that come both with just being a growing teenager and being in my particular situation.
I can honestly say that me being here is likely a result of the relationship I've had with him. One year ago though, we redefined what wewere. He's still my best friend but for a year now I've been calling him my (queerplatonic) partner and it stands as one of the best and most significant and most freeing changes in my life.
Even in light of people's misunderstanding, I am happier and more secure in this than anything else I've ever had with anyone. Izaiah makes me feel comfortable, and happy, and secure, and even at my lowest points I've kept going because I have someone who I know supports and loves me unconditionally.
I'm not afraid, I've never felt pressed to be someone I'm not even in all the changes I've gone through. We've grown together as people, and I am eternally grateful that we've gotten to share that. My life wouldn't be complete without my sunshine, my chimp in human clothes, and honestly the very thing I never thought I would have in my life.
Here's to more shared worlds, to more rad music taste, to another year of loving each other in defiance of the world's perceptions and beliefs about what commitment and devotion should be based on, to more crying over fictional apes and fckn puppets.
I love you Izaiah, you absolute nerdlord.

Better Defined
Posted 6 years agoI've recently been doing some extra overthinking about sexuality and come to a place for the first time I feel comfortable enough actually putting words besides gay/queer to my experience.
I still consider myself that, but I also feel that it wouldn't be fair to ignore that I'm definitely acespec and arospec; I don't want to go deep into what made this all so hard for me, but I do want to thank my relationship with feelingchimpy for bringing me to a point where I can embrace it.
I specifically consider myself grey-ace and greyro!
For clarity, my personal definition for both of these terms isn't the "rarely experiences x attraction" way, but that grey-a identities serve to cover any non-allo experience that isn't the complete and certain lack of the appropriate attraction.
I exist without certainty of my attraction, without knowing what it is or how I experience it or if I do anyways, or whether or not it even matters if I do. And that's okay, and I can identify with that uncertainty and grey area itself, which is why I'm finally choosing to use and live with those terms.
Maybe my feelings will change, maybe I will come to know myself in a way that let's me use other words, but I don't know if I feel like I need to anymore. I am letting myself fully take on my experience for what it is and to let those feelings be the definition.
For me, this doesn't much change how I plan to go about things; I still want to define my relationships as individual things and let them happen in their own time, and maybe that's just part of it, to be fair!

Happy Birthday
Posted 6 years agoI'm not here to be negative or make this situation into something to feel bittersweet about, but I feel like it need to say it--
I'm 20 as of today, and that's an accomplishment. That's especially an accomplishment after these past couple years, and I don't know what the future will bring but I'm glad I made it to this present, and here's to another year survived!
