So yeah, it's been a while since I've uploaded anything, or let myself be heard. Not that anyone cares, but I enjoy talking to myself so shush it.

My internship at 4Sight is coming to an end. Currently it's friday, 10/29/2010, and next week's friday will be my last day here. Overall, it's been a great ride. I really like all my co-workers, and I've learned a lot. Some of it, just a tiny fraction, I can show you in my soon-to-come upload. Soon, as in a few seconds, judging by the speed it's rendering, and the speed I am typing at.

So yeah, life's been good. Managed to crash my scooter a while ago due to a loose tile in the road, but I sued the city over it, took an attorny when the city was being a bitch, and then proceeded to make them my bitch. Outcome; A fully paid reparation to my scooter, and a extra pay for suffered damages. I really hate that city.

I can't wait to go back to school, although I would enjoy like, a week off between internship, and starting with work again. I'm really tired lately. If it continues, I'll have my blood checked, although I'm not too worried.

Mood is cheerful. Christmas is coming soon, which means my mate will be in my arms once more.

I love life, oh so much. <3

Little sort-of-vent journal.



I've known him for a very, very long time, and we used to be good internet buds. But we had a slow, steady falling-out. It happens. We tried to pick things up again, but you know, it just didn't work out.

So, a month, or months of silence, where in I asked him a few times why he never showed up on Yahoo Instant Messenger any more. He never answered.

So today, during my game of L4D1, a message of him popped up. Appearantly it was quite hot where he lived. So I joked about the fact that I have an air conditioner. (Small, portable thing.) And thus he felt the need to start going on about how he hated me for being rich (which I am not... Well, not really. I don't even have a job), and how he loathed every one who had it better then him. I found that so egotistical of him, that I responded. All he said back was "Bye Thoran.....", and I told him he should go complain to someone else.

He left a offensive, hateful shout on my page and blocked me. But I fail to care, we never talked any way. I reported him for offensive behaviour. Just shows how friends can change by the click of a finger.

I've currently got my paws on a nice sum of vacation money, and it is time I get a good commission of three main characters I want references for. It should be inked, coloured and shaded (preferable fur shading, but that is debatable).

The picture should,-

-Have my three characters together in a non-complicated pose.
-Look fairly realistic. At least no toony stuff. (Example: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3181949 This is good!)
-Have the characters be correctly scaled in accordance to each other, no matter what pose they are in.
-Have a few effects, which will be discussed with the artist that offers to do it. (Ice/fire effects, possibly.)


I'm willing to pay up to around 50 dollars. I don't know if this is too low. If so, then it's something I can discuss.

As you may know, I'm an intern at 4Sight, where I work as a 3D modeller and designer, realizing landmarks, existing and non-existing buildings to put into detailed 3D charts, for project managers to view.

I receive a salary of a 100 Euro a month, plus about 80 Euro travelling expenses.

But my boss told me that, at the end of my internship, I can expect to be offered a zero-hour contract, because in these four days, I've already proven myself a "valuable asset to the company, and one we'd like to keep a hold of . Quoted from himself.

A zero-hour contract, is basically a contract where I work, when I can, and when there is work (which is all the time). I can earn up to 400 Euro in a single evening, just by making a few detailed 3D landmarks. This won't be every evening, but I'd still should get a nice average payment per month. And this isn't even near full-time!

So yes, I am very, very happy. Work is going fantastic, I just love the office where I work, every one there is very nice to me, and I feel very appreciated for my efforts, even though I don't get a lot of money for it.

My mate will be arriving the Monday after next week, to stay here for almost five weeks. We'll be staying in a luxurious cottage in a cottage-park for five days too, as a mini-vacation just for us.

Life is fantastic.

Wow... really? I'm 0 percent girly? Ah well, anyway, off to the gym to lift more weights, drink beer, scratch my ass and burp and all of that.

For all of you that don't know. I've done an internship at a company called PLUS Reclame (Commercials) for a month. They said I'd be doing design there, designing advertisements, and helping to build the signs themselves. Although the latter part of the job didn't really spike my interest, I figured it'd be nice to not do the same thing for 8 hours a day, and agreed.

Sadly, the only thing I did there, was build signs, wash cars, wash the shop, clean, swipe the floor, clean the kitchen, and knock dirt and mud out of pipes. After a month of torture, I decided to call it quits, and left.

But now, I finally have found a new internship, and fast enough for my college to let it slide, and not make me catch up the lost weeks in my summer holiday, which I couldn't even do in the first place due to my mate visiting pretty much all of my vacation weeks.

I had my solicitation meeting Tuesday morning, and from what he told me over the phone the same day, I was very friendly, very motivated, had a quick tongue, and knew my way around 3D design and techniques.

So, he decided to give me the test-case. Today, I was sent an email, containing a 3D model of a on-shore oil rig. It had over 80.000 polygons (render-able surfaces) which I needed to clean, and bring down to less then 10.000. He said it would take me around 4 hours.

One hour later.

7.882 polygons, and I was done. I just sent him the file, and a description of the things I changed. I feel fantastic about my work, and I'm quite sure I'll get the job, which means I can start on Monday.

Little about the company, it's called 4Sight, and it does 3D visualizations of building projects. (The artist-impression 3D renders often seen on build-signs.)

tl;dr GOOD TIMES.

So yeah, I woke up, sitting up in the sun. Bright blue sky, hot wheather, murrypurry wheather and all that.

So, I went downstairs, all dressed, and got outside, to try and fix up my bike. As I strolled into the garden, I noticed something odd. A fuckton of crows were sitting on my house, on the rim of the roof. They usually don't get in our garden, but rather stay in the high trees nearby.

So, I opened up the garage and got my bike out. As I rolled it out, one of the crows flapped down, and sort of stuck itself into the dense hedge which separates my garden, and the neighbours. Usually when the birds do this, they dissapear inside. But this crow was sort of holding onto the outer branches, and staring at me.

I wondered if it might have it's leg stuck in a wire or something, so I walked over to check. It didn't fly away, just sit there. As I stuck a hand out to check, all the other crows started crowing loudly and flying up, circling about, making a hell of a noise. To see if it was me who caused them doing that, I walked back into the garage, and they went silent. I got back out, ruckus again.

The one crow in the hedge was very slowly slumping sideways, tipping over, but still blankly staring at me. When he was almost fully sideways, he flapped once, flopping onto the ground and sort of clumsily bouncing under the garden chairs. The others were crowing loudly again.

The weird crow didn't look wounded though, maybe he was just tired. He got into a small hedge and dissapeared, the other crows flying off, back into the trees.

YOUR THOUGHTS? D: What on earth happened.

I just came back from the alpha test of the map, where I had several people run around my unfinished map, and complain about the many flaws, and enjoy the fun stuff.

The final report bogs down to the following, much needed changes and additions.

-Central capture point requires cover.
This will be fixed when the temporary island gets replaced with the container ship.

-3D Skybox.
This will be a part of the final detailing. Will be included in the first beta.

-HDR/Brightness must be toned down.
I had the same idea, will be fixed in version a2.

-Arrows pointing to safety ledges.
The water will be encased in a trigger_hurt entity to prevent people from camping under water, only coming up for air. Arrows will be placed along the sides to point unfortunate players to ledges where they can exit the water properly.

-HP and Ammo packs.
I've completely forgotten these, and I'll be sure to add them as soon as possible. Probably in version a2.

-Names for Control Points/custom indicators.
The naming will be included in version a2. Custom indicators for a later version.

OHGAWD.

For some time, I've been -involuntarily- trading in class hours for internship hours. It's a part of my education and diploma, but still rather sketchy, as some of my classmates do not have an internship, yet are perfectly fine at college.

So here I am, right now, stuck at 'work', doing absolutely nothing. The building is deserted. My boss, who is the owner of the business hasn't shown because he can decide when to come and when to leave. My two co-workers have left to build up some sign somewhere in some city, and my main source of work has a day off.

Bored as hell, trust me. And that's no pun either.

Now, after 4 weeks of having worked here, I've decided to call it quits. I've emailed my teacher, who'm I will be visiting upcoming monday next week, to talk about my decision. I'll probably search a new internship, one that actually lets me do something, and makes me feel appreciated.

Quick word on my co-workers. No education, no diploma, no braincells, no manners.

So yeah, it sucks. But I'm still happy because I won't let those two idiots bring me down, not even a notch.

If I manage to leave, then I can't wait for my epic exit speech, seeing how I won't see either of them ever again. I'm going to burn them into the ground, trust me.

Final note. I do a CRAPLOAD of work, a lot of which I'm not even supposed to do like cleaning their cars/programming the website (fun though)/help fixing up a picture of one of the co-worker's cousins. And I get payed less then 5 euros a day for it, get my wishes completely ignored because 'I am an intern and I have nothing to wish'.

Fuck this company. :C
