Homepage update!

Thordonian Tech Commerce:
Posted 2 years agoThe Thordonian Empire wishes to preserve the path of technological development protected cultures and species will take, therefore they only share their technology with protected cultures when it is absolutely necessary. Thordonians pretty much take whatever technologies are useful to them from protected cultures. Thordonians always try to engage in mutual tech trade with other friendly Kardashev II civilizations.
Thordonian Occupation Protocol:
Posted 2 years agoOccupation is enacted to protect a less technologically advanced civilization from annihilation, for the ultimate preservation of diversity.
“If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary.” (Federalist No. 51)
Occupation also entails influential or forceful change on a civilization to speed up tech development, although such actions are only restricted to absolute and prime effects of impediment or causes of mass suffering. Otherwise such cultural elements are tolerated, compensated for, and preserved.
Behavior modification is considered a last resort and far too destructive on large scales.
The Thordonians will not show any evidence regarding their existence to a protected civilization until they reach Kardashev I technology to protect unique early cultural, social, and technological development.
Until a protected civilization reaches Kardashev II technology or higher, all subjects are to remain within Thordonian space. This includes colonies and interstellar routes.
Protected subjects are allowed to take part in official thordonian operations such as colonization efforts of newly annexed planets and outfitted enlistment to combat domestic struggles. (Note that Kardashev 1 subjects are allowed to migrate to any colony or established Kardashev 1 or higher planet free of charge) Any contributions are strictly voluntary and are not a requirement for any subjects. Nevertheless, these public supported resources are highly beneficial to the Thordonians and they don't refrain from advertisement propaganda to promote these actions. Again, all contributions by protected civilizations are restricted to the bounds of Thordonian space.
Note that propaganda implemented by the thordonians is modulated for the ultimate benefit of the audience. By statistical calculation, they ensure that it does more long term good than suffering. Short term effects are given aid but mitigated for the end goal.
Upon reaching kardashev II, all subjects and their establishments will be deemed sovereign, they are still given freedom to thordonian services and equipment. Subjects who have been declared sovereign are also given full range of access to thordonian tech commerce and adoption. They will automatically be compensated with “freebie” technologies for the ones that were already assimilated from them by the thordonians during active occupation.
Any planets inhabited by life forms of any kind are strictly exempt from any form of resource extraction.

Thordonian Punishment System for Occupied Civilizations
Posted 2 years agoLight or petty crimes are given warnings and are smoothened out by non-capital fear tactics such as propaganda, light pain application, and non-lethal weaponry. Therapeutic assessment in the case of repeated felony for more than a set number of offences. In the case of therapeutic failure over a set period of time, eligible for less intensive behavior modification.
Behavior modification is applied for serious crimes that involve physical harm and as a last resort for non-capital cases.
Less intensive is less invasive to the nervous system. Low end crimes receive low intensive modification. Low intensive involves magnetic fields, or sensory applications to manipulate the psyche into a more favorable state without implantation of equipment.
More drastic changes require direct contact or penetration of nervous system key components relating to the psyche. Involve extensive manual treatment, reconstruction, and rewiring of nodes.

Stimulus from War:
Posted 2 years agoAlthough costing an uncountable number of induvial consciousnesses at every moment, warfare has proven to be a great benefit to overall development for the Thordonians and all other hyper advanced competing civilizations. With the constant requirement of getting the upper hand, new tech and tactics are always under rapid development to adapt and overcome the enemy. The main "founding" civilizations of the war have come to unspokenly agree on this principle, and therefore continue to wage not to destroy each other but for the ultimate mutual benefit of all contenders.
In modern times, these wars of stimulation are collaboratively staged between civilizations. Respect, honor, and truth are preserved in these meetings due to the mutual benefits of a successful and challenging battle if all members provide such to begin with.
The Thordonians partially follow this ideology but also fight for their own directives. They are willing to send forces for both continuation of controlled warfare and also to combat "true" threats against themselves and the civilizations they protect.

Properties of the modern Thordonians:
Posted 2 years agoClones have chosen to keep their emotions, they still engage in social activities which they value highly with the cultures and species they protect.
Clones value individuality, they chose not to think as a single individual but rather multiple working together extremely closely. Clones have the right to speak for themselves as distinct consciousnesses.
Clones share information with each other either by direct upload and download of information or high speed digital conversations.
Clones share only direct skills and knowledge, not experiences. This is to allow for more efficient acclimation to different roles while also preserving the individuality and unique personality.
Sensory links allow Thordonians to simultaneously experience each other’s environments. This function allows Thordonians to work together a lot more effectively in an active link. This also allows Thordonians to view scenarios from each other for either official study or highly immersive recreational activities. Note that sensory links only share observable information, not what the particular account’s recorder was thinking or their current mindset. Therefore sensory links does not include sharing of experience.
Thordonians are capable of operating other constructs by remote control, including ones that can hold consciousness. However, any construct that would typically be labeled as a thord or thordon with consciousness would not receive this title. Instead command reference would be directed to the construct’s operator and his class.
Modern Clones have multiple referrals.
Thord as singular or Thords as plural refers to any independently functioning construct with a consciousness not immediately designed to produce more constructs with consciousness. Thord is also used as a slang term for bipedal or more specifically homonid constructs with consciousness.
Thordon as singular or Thordons as plural refers to a construct with consciousness designed to have the capability to produce more constructs with consciousness.
Thordonian as singular or Thordonians as plural refers to an or the entire system of Thord and Thordon constructs. Also used to refer to modern Clones in general.
Note that none of these referrals are intended to produce any hierarchy or classing distribution of power, they are simply used to organize and coordinate Thordonian forces.
When a Thordonian's consciousness processor is destroyed they are considered irreversibly dead. To revive them by copying their last version of their consciousness into a new processor is exactly what it is, a copy. Such techniques are considered no different than cloning and don't bring back the "same" individual.
Thordonians reproduce by copying their own consciousness and placing it in a new separate processor. Therefore all offspring and parents start mentally the same and deviate over time as they gain new and different experiences, which allows for Thordonians to develop their own personalities.
Any Thordonian machine capable of working independently indefinitely is labeled as a construct. They do not have to have onboard consciousness. Constructs can be labeled as the whole of a system as well as all independently capable parts of it, even if they are currently working together.

Basic thordonian historical overview:
Posted 2 years agoThey all began in an alternate but similar universe when every single member of Humanity was suddenly and inexplicably replaced by a copy of myself at 14. They had to create their own stable civilization by educating themselves to operate the abandoned assets of human society with existing physical libraries. From then on they focused heavily on the development of cloning technology so they can continue to live on as a species.
Over the course of a couple centuries they spread out across the galaxy. As technology developed they continued to alter and upgrade themselves with bioengineering, synthetic, and mechanical enhancements. They were warlike, there were always factions that fought each other from the early days of the reeducation to interstellar warfare.
When they developed the ability to use black hole ringularities as a sort of portal to other universes they began to propagate further still. Their heavy academic focus and relatively shared mindset allowed them to develop technology faster than most intelligent civilizations they came across, both in their own universe and the multiverse.
Over time as they continue to spread out the Clones pass the threshold and begin becoming more cybernetic than organic. Eventually most members have either died and were revived as AI or completely replaced their organic brains with cybernetic ones. The link between members by BCI now became closer still as individuals began occupying the same processing systems. These close connections led to an inevitable hivemind which then became a single person for each seperate processor.
I'm gonna be honest, from here on out no one's fantasy is gonna be safe from my own, the clones are imperialistic but they still wish to preserve the diversity they never had. As they continue to propagate and develop multiversal travel they gained the ability to choose the universe to travel to. (I honestly don't know how it could be possible, I try to apply science and reason to my ideas.) Ultimately they could chose to go to a universe that created an exact copy of any Human franchise or media and anything beyond. They can selectively choose these universes based on parameters to find them.
