An art-filled Monday, and now it's Tuesday
General | Posted 10 years agoDo you ever have one of those days where art of your character just keeps appearing? Yesterday was one of those days for me.
A certain
BlurTheFur started posting the results of a Twitter conversation I had with
Masonc1, which led to some art of rather odd transformations:
- Dragonball
- Food dragon
- Rubber dracorn
- Inflatable dragon pool toy
- Chimera
BlurTheFur finished it off by asking FA for more unfortunate things that could happen to my form. I have problems, so I look forward to being screwed with. I'd appreciate it if you guys went to http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/7104091/ and posted and idea, or two, or a hundred. I was going to try to avoid being messed with, but the link ended up shared in Nommz's stream yesterday, so heck, I may as well embrace it!
Beyond that, some commissions started coming in yesterday!
- Mid-dracorn-to-dragon TF pic by teaselbone, with an appearance by BlurTheFur
- A yet-to-be-posted pair of pictures from this auction—I bid on slots A and D expecting to either lose both or win one, and ended up getting both
Lastly, I have it on good authority that BlurTheFur was getting such a kick out of doing things to me yesterday that he has more pics to upload very soon. That is the story of the Monday in which I kept appearing on FA over and over again. With all of that out of the way, how about you hit me with some TMI Tuesday questions after posting that idea in the journal I linked?

Thanks for the stream talk, and it's Tuesday yet again.
General | Posted 10 years agoJust wanted to give a quick thanks to the people with whom I talked last night on Nommz's stream (and for the subsequent watches and faves); it was a lot of fun and you're all awesome people whom I look forward to speaking with again. Also it's apparently Tuesday, so ask me anything.
A dream journal excerpt for the heck of it
General | Posted 10 years agoIf you're following me, you're probably aware that I enjoy macro/micro situations. Many of my followers are also aware that I'm really into dreaming, especially lucid dreaming (being aware of when one is dreaming, which often allows for control over the dream). To that extent, I'll present an excerpt from a non-lucid sizeshifting dream from this morning as an excuse to get the TMI Tuesday journal off of my page. I know this isn't art, but I figure it may amuse one or two people or give them some insight into my head via a semi-rare macro/micro dream.
Post-dream commentary is in italics.
I am in my family room with my parents. We are seemingly going to watch a game show in an adjacent room that can be reached by crawling through an air vent. We can easily fit through, but not because the vent is large or we are small; the entire room's dimensions seem to distort as we prepare to enter the vent. My mother passes through first, and I talk with my father a bit before heading through. Instead of ending up in a room, I end up in a large outdoor area with my parents nowhere in sight. The area is made of several small islands with tall cliffs with grassy tops overlooking a large sea below. Pink-tinged clouds showcase a beautiful sunset.
I walk around and find a large group of people. A game is about to happen, but it's completely unrelated to the game show my family was expecting. One or two participants are turned into 50' giant creatures while others are given popguns and ways to navigate around the air. The giants and flyers battle until one has taken too much "damage" (nobody is actually hurt), at which point a victor is declared. There is actually a mini game in the Sonic equivalent of Mario Party that plays similarly, although there is no flying. I watch a match take place. While the giants do win, it's clear that it was only due to mistakes on the flyers' parts; the giants should theoretically be sitting ducks.
The game's host asks who wants to play next. Having witnessed the giant team's disadvantage, nobody is willing to volunteer for it. Surprised that nobody simply wants to experience being turned into a gigantic creature for a short while, I volunteer. Moments later, I find that I've become a large version of my dracorn character. I smile, noticing that I won't be a sitting duck as the other giants were because I have wings. I waste no time taking off into the air and feeling my wings and my large mass collectively create a flying sensation I've only experienced in dreams. I can't believe I didn't put two and two together here. Shortly after takeoff, however, the other team declares something I've done to be dirty play. They won't elaborate on what it is, so I assume that they're simply mad they don't have a stationary target as they were expecting. I tell them that I simply won't play if they won't tell me what I shouldn't be doing and fly slightly away from them, observing how they fly. They hang from ropes attached to blimps that they can somehow steer. Eventually deciding not to be near them at all, I land near where I took off and lie on my back, simply taking in the scale of everything around me.
Everything after this point is decidedly non-furry and non-sizey, so I'll spare people the boring stuff. If I dream of more furry or size shenanigans, I may put it here in the future. All of you other macro/micro people should totally be lucid dreaming, by the way. More of you need to be venting your rampage urges in more than just art.

Somehow It's Tuesday Again
General | Posted 10 years agoTMI Tuesday remains a thing, and most of you know the drill by now. Ask whatever! I didn't really plan to do this today, but I still had the last TMI Tuesday journal live, so it was like I was advertising it anyway.
Welp, It's TMI Tuesday Again.
General | Posted 10 years agoI picked up a few watchers since last time, so why not? Am I expecting tons of questions? Nah; I might not even get one. But I'm open to them, and that's the spirit of TMI Tuesday! Or something.
Anyway, ask me anything, and feel free to ask me the person or me the character. I'll be sleeping in a couple of hours, but I'll answer in the morning and throughout tomorrow whenever I'm not doing housework. Give this dracorn some questions!

Time to get my feet wet—or rather, dive right in!
General | Posted 10 years agoI said in a previous journal entry that I wanted to dabble in writing. To that end, I entered a YCH vore story auction with streamed writing and won a slot, but the author unfortunately had to back out and refund everybody, so I didn't really get to see the creation process in action. While I'll continue to annotate re-uploads of works with me in it—largely looking at you, BlurTheFur—I suppose I need to dive right in if I want to try more original stories. Therefore, I'd like to try writing one or two freebie short stories for other people to get a feel for how to do it.
Let me know here if you'd be interested in having me write something about whatever you'd like. I'm going to set the following guidelines for it:
• The better I know you, the more likely I am to choose your idea, although everybody is welcome. As somebody doing his very first work for somebody else, I am way more comfortable communicating back and forth with somebody with whom I've already spoken instead of a stranger. If we haven't said much to each other, I'm not likely to choose your idea unless you can present yourself as a person instead of just somebody looking for writing for free. If we've spoken back and forth in FA comments, it's a bit more likely. If we've talked in notes or outside of FA, it's much more likely as I don't think you'll tear into me for an unsuccessful first attempt.
• I'm not just going to take your idea and run with it all alone; I'm going to check with you on things. I want to really get a feel for the characters about which I'm asked to write. I may write a bit, ask you about a character's likely reaction to a situation, write a bit more, etc. I'm not going to surprise you very much with a finished short story; I'm going to polish an idea as much as possible with your input.
• I won't use characters if I can't confirm you have permission to use them. You can of course use your own characters. Heck, you can use my character in any shape and size and I'll probably be fine with it (if not more into it). When it comes to the characters of others, though, I need to be assured that you're allowed to do what you're doing. This also plays into why I'd prefer to work with people I know to get started; I can clearly see that some people I know have friendly/romantic relationships and likely have permission to use each other.
• I'm currently more likely to write about shared interests. I obviously need to be more impartial if I start doing many more stories, but for the first one or two, I'd like to be able to connect well with the person pitching the story idea. That doesn't mean a story idea needs to be exactly what I like in terms of furry art, but having some common ground to use in the story would be great. This yet again falls back on starting with ideas from people I know.
Reply to this journal with an idea if you're interested. I know I'm narrowing my pool of clients quite a lot with my guidelines, but I'll broaden them as I get more comfortable in my own abilities. Don't be afraid to comment; the worst that could happen is that I simply pick somebody else. I won't shame anybody who shows honest intentions!

Eh, why not? TMI Tuesday is a thing.
General | Posted 10 years agoEDIT: It's over with only one conversation, but that's fine! I gave somebody something to be interested in for a bit, so I consider it mission accomplished.
Aevsivs ran a TMI Tuesday journal last week and it was fun to read, so I considered letting people interrogate me to balance out my constant commenting on other people's works before opting not to do so… until I saw more people I know doing the TMI thing today, so what the heck, I'll jump on board. Ask me pretty much whatever, either directed toward me as a person or as a character in art, and I'll see what I can answer. I don't even have 20 watchers, so I really don't expect this to be a big thing, but that's totally fine by me! I'll consider it an opportunity to chat with one or two people if that's what it ends up being, or perhaps somebody I don't know will stop by just to pitch a question. I really have nothing to lose. :)

Writing, perhaps?
General | Posted 10 years agoMy gallery is currently nothing but re-uploads of pieces done for me or commissioned by me (with permission, of course), and in terms of visual art, that's unlikely to change anytime soon. However, I'd like to think I have something of a way with words, so I'm trying to add short stories to those re-uploads for additional flavor. If it goes well, I could certainly get into writing to produce my own content or to continue to add to content I have permission to have in my gallery.
With that in mind, I've currently put small stories in the descriptions of three uploads that many of my watchers have already seen:
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/17456289/ (adult)
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/17511072/ (mature)
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/17511114/ (general)
I'd love to get some feedback on the writing, either in comments on those works or as a response to this journal. If this is something that I can do reasonably well to add flavor to content or to make my own content, then it beats just hosting other people's work and I'll feel much better about re-uploads. :) If not, then I'll simply continue to do permitted re-uploads with proper crediting and links back to the original works.

Appreciate the compliments, but…
General | Posted 10 years agoI've been getting a few comments to the effect of "I love the stuff you make", and while I'm flattered that people like the content, pretty much everything in my Gallery is titled with "by AnotherUserNameHere" for a reason. I'm often a commissioner or receiving art as a random gift. I haven't produced anything of my own for this FA account to date. I just want to be clear about this because I respect the artists that have portrayed me and believe they deserve credit, comments, favorites, watches, and the like. I do reuploads with links back to the original work after the original work gets buried deep enough in FA's archives. This both gives those artists another chance to be recognized for their work and allows me to keep a copy of all work done for/with me.
Again, I'm really happy that people like my character's designs or the situations in which he's portrayed, and I'm all for getting watches, faves, and comments because I intend to keep getting portrayed in those situations! I just want to make this journal and put it right above my shouts to show respect for the artists who have depicted my character. I know that if I drew for somebody else and saw that person being called a great creator when it was reuploaded, I'd be a little irked if that person wasn't clarifying the situation. I don't think this journal is going to stop the misconceptions, as people aren't very likely to read this if they didn't see the "by AnotherUserNameHere" in the art titles, but at least it shows that I'm not attracting the wrong attention deliberately.
To be clear, I don't intend to shame anybody for not reading titles carefully with this journal. I very much appreciate those of you who have given me compliments for the situations in which my characters have been!
