It's that time of year again, and so it's also time for the annual Holiday Special poll

Though unlike previous years this time it's not about voting for who'll be the focus character in the pic, but instead which character -group- it'll feature. While not every character group is complete yet, the ones in the poll are complete enough to make a pic that features them in a festive manner. How exactly the pic will turn out depends on which group gets chosen of course

While work for me doesn't begin before Wednesday, suppose it's time for a post-vacation update regarding what my art plans are going forward

First off, I still owe some friends stuff for paying for food / drink during my vacation, so expect to see more of that. Second, thinking about doing an updated ref for the Roboy. Especially fitting perhaps, since my birthday is in a month's time (August 29th)

After those things I might do something specific for 8/8 and some other stuff. But beyond that I'll begin ramping up for Re-Intros Part 3. Most of the main cast roster will be either revealed or teased by the end of this one. Current estimate is around 45 - 50 total pages, whereas part 2 was a whopping 64 + 1 extra info

Another fun stat is that from the start of last year til summer I did 27 pages, while during the same time this year I did 39! If I improve on cutting down pages, maybe part 3 can be done before new years...

2024 was... Certainly a year. All in all I guess I'd say it was a positive one for me. It's been an amazing year in terms of new metal ablums released. And of course, the Re-Introduction project, which the generally positive response to has kept me going through the year.

Much alike how working on it was likely the thing keeping me sane during the latter part of the year, with the death my grandfather in october. Still weighs me down, but I'm still soldiering on.

But I don't wish to dwell on that in a public space, so instead I'd like to share some updates on my plan ahead for 2025 in terms of the Re-Intros. First off I'll soon begin posting the previous comics on Bluesky (going by Roboy-Thor on that site too) before the new ones are made.

In addition to that, I will begin -actually- doing lore info pages, since I know I've been perhaps waiting too long in making them. I like to write dialogue as natural to the characters as I can and hence try to avoid lore dumps, but that only really works if I do the supplementary lore pages lol

So the plan is to make at least one lore page -before- starting up the next comic. I might do some unrelated stuff before that time, but hopefully I'll be back in the swing of things before the end of January.

So on twitter some time ago I talked about doing another drawing of Kwang-Sun with a really stretched maw again, now that he’s finally back.

However this time I’m thinking he’ll swallow MULTIPLE nagas at once, as a sort of party trick

Figured I'd do a small update regarding the Re-Intro stuff;

The end of the year is approaching, and it's clear that I will not be able to get Part Two of the Re-Intros done before that. So, after the bonus pic and a follow-up thing, I'll take December off to draw other things.

I was fine skipping Impcore this year, but I'm not skipping the holiday themed drawings I do every year. With a decent chunk of characters returned I might also do a poll for this year's Santa pic. Plus I just wanna draw more of the returned characters in general. I had hoped to at least do the Ryker continuation, but that will instead have to be the one to start us up next year.

Which means that the actual last Re-Intro part of this year will be the follow-up thing mentioned. Including one final character reveal.

With another installment to the Re-Introductions complete it’s time to set my eyes on the next one. Other than moving the ‘Ryker "vs" MacReagan’ plotline ahead, this one also was a test to see how serious the tone could be. Good to see the feedbacks’ generally been positive, though future installments should be not as serious lol

Next in that plotline is seeing what Ulric and the gang is up to. But before that it’s time to further develop the third and more comedic slice of (kinky) life ‘plotline’ that Amaya and Fen’s introduction started. While neither make an appearance in this one (yet), it’ll be re-introducing a good chunk of characters with some vorny fun. So look forward to that ;b

Before that though, it is about time I started sharing lore and additional context. So I’ll be getting to that soon too, starting with some info on the world itself.
Oh and of course, I’ll share the temp references for team MacReagan tomorrow lol

Back home from my vacation away from home, whew. It was pretty great, but man am I also glad to be back lol

Thankfully still got two weeks more before I get back to work. I'll start prepping to continue the re-intros this week, but I'll be drawing some other stuff this week. Just some simpler summer-themed fun stuff for the most part. So stay tuned for that, and the lore / re-intro stuff after that!

With the most recent re-intro now done I figured I'd make a small update on the plan forward.

My vacation starts on the 14th where I'll be away from home for two weeks. Gonna be taking a full break from art during that time, only potentially doing some writing prep.

However, before I go on vacation I'm mighty try finish up another small continuation to the 'story' taking place. All I'll say on that is prepare for some "eldritch" shenanigans lol

When I get back home I still got two weeks off, so I'll try and use that time to get the gears movin again

I was initially intending to already begin sharing snippets of lore and such inbetween the re-intro parts, but my brain's just simply been too fried to write it down in a way I'm satisfied sharing. So hopefully, I should be able to begin that after summer vacation lol

Now that the comic is done I figured I'd make an update on my plans ahead for the re-introductions, stories, sharing of lore and what expectations to have;

First off though I want to thank everyone for all the kind words in regards to the comic! Was fun to see how many actually got invested in what was going on in the comic, to an extent I wasn't fully expecting either. Even some fanart of Ulric already, which I'm always grateful for!

Not to mention a lot of people starting to ask about the lore of the setting, so I feel I've given people a reason to care about it for when I actually do begin sharing it.

But before I share any of the lore, there is one more "plotline" to be revealed, along with two more characters from the main cast. Unlike the two prior ones revealed, this last one will be full on kinky comedy, compared to the kinky/comedic/serious mix (in that order) of the other two. Then it will be time to begin sharing lore and additional context that doesn't fit into the main sequences/comics/stories.

It will likely be a three page thing like "New" World, as stuff the length of "Covert" Delivery will be a rarity. It simply isn't feasible for me to do stuff of that length regurarly. While it's a passion of mine, it is still a hobby after all. I gotta find a way to balance it so that I don't constantly overwork myself or kill my enjoyment of doing it.

Future additions to each story may be more like images of key scenes (focusing on the kinky part), with a page's worth of story per image in a sequence. Perhaps not as preferred as full comics, but I hope this comic showed my skill in story crafting to make it worth reading them regardless. All depends on how vital a scene is to be fully drawn I suppose.

This won't be a fully linear story either. After all main cast members have been re-introduced it'll become an open sanbox kinda deal. With only key scenes drawn/written to move things forward.

So guess it's time I adress my thoughts about the Vore-Off and my reasoning for wanting to reboot the canon / distance the new stuff from the old.

I'll split it up into different topics and try to keep each fairly brief in this thread. Starting with;


Thoughts on the Vore-Off

Guess it's no secret that it's taken a mental toll on me to do it. The amount of work needed to see it done and not expecting that -certain people- would be -as- upset with their favs losing as they were. Not to mention having to redo the second match due to vote tampering, having to do each manually.
But despite all of that it wasn't all bad. It had it's fun moments for sure, and was a valuable practice for my future plans. I'd say it was still worth it in the end, not never doing it again lol


Why the reboot?

Come next year I've been posting stuff online for a decade. Over that time, I've improved drastically in character writing (and art I guess). And the older characters that are still in use are quite different from what they used to be.
Yet people still bring stuff up like Mezik/Suniko being genies despite that not having been canon for 4 years minimum.
I want to do more character focused stuff together with the kinks, and so I'm cleaning the slate.
When 2024 comes around, everything prior will be non-canon until proven otherwise.


Plans for 2024

New decade of posting stuff online, new canon. First things first will be to re-introduce the focus/main cast and their supporting cast. I wanted to do this in roughly ten short comics, but I realised that would take the whole year to do lol.
So instead I'm doing one short comic to start us off, and then likely a short image sequence with a supplementary story for those who're actually interested in the characters beyond the size of their curves lol

In additon I'd like to make a small update on my plans forward;

I've got one last thing that I owe a friend for paying for stuff when I was in Belgium, but after that it's back to fully focus on character references. However, I'm not too happy with how the current ones look, so I'm gonna be starting over again with a new aesthetic. Meaning I've got about 14 or 15 references to do for what I've dubbed the primary or main focus cast of characters. The ones that I'll be focusing on the most and try to get commissions of more often than others.

As for commissions, I'm not intending to open until most of these references are done unless I feel it's necessary. I might take some for friends only, but it's time I focus on getting this done. I've got a ton of ideas for short sequences I wanna get to, and I need all these references for that. I'll be doing the references in order of character groupings. But before that, I'm finally giving the roboy a proper ref.

So we'll see how many I'll get done before October when it's Impcore Month again. However this year, things might be a little different ;b
