That's the "mandatory New Year journal" haha I wasn't going write anything because honestly, the past days have been kinda turbulent, but I felt like there's some stuff I'd really like to say so, yeah haha
First, I want to thank everyone for the support through more one year! Thank you everyone for the lovely messages, I'm sorry if I'm not very responsive but I do read and appreciate all of your words; thank you for all the watches, favorites and retweets/shares (on twitter and facebook), I'm really glad you enjoy my art that much; thank you for buying my art and stuff, I'm super happy and flattered you think my art is worth your money; thank ya'll for everything during 2019 and those past years, really !! β₯
Secondly, I want to give you all a brief idea of what I have on mind for 2020 so you won't be get off guard.
As everyone knows my last commission opening got me a crazy long waitinglist, I'll continue working on that during 2020 following the same TOS and original quotes given back in March 2019, to honor those who have been waiting, but after that I'll change the way I take commissions. Because I'm thankful for everyone who support me by buying my drawings, I have been always putting my buyers before me and trying to do everything to make stuff accessible for everyone (as long as they have patience) but I finally feel confident enough to start thinking more about my own confort and wishes and in order to do so, I'll need to limit my customers a bit. I'll bring more details about it when it's the right momment, I apologize if this may be a bit disapointing but I hope y'all understand! I'll still do my best to attend everyone the best I can, but I'll be thinking about me equally at the same time.
Full resolution and PSD files will still be avaliable for free though, so no worries about that! I'll change my way of managing commissions, but the way I manage my galleries will stay the same.
Also on a side note, I'd like to draw more for the sake of drawing, without worrying if it looks good or nah, if my followers will enjoy it or nah. Some people made me believe I should always prioritize drawing my own OCs over fanart because I need to love my OCs and yeap, I love them, but maybe because I'm happy enough developing my OCs by myself and w/ a very few close friends I don't feel this urge of drawing them that much. When I was younger drawing fanart was my joy and happiness and I want to bring that feeling back, because I'm not a very social person, fanarts are a way of expressing myself and sharing my interests without needing to go under the exhausting process of chatting. Even if those aren't very impressive pics, I hope ya'll will enjoy!
I believe this covers everything! This year was surely a wild ride HAH but I think it was an importat year for my personal growing, I still have a long way to go, but I believe I'm growing stronger and getting a better sense of self, my beloved shiroganeRyo has been helping me a lot on the proccess and I couldn't ask for a better mate (thanks for your patience and endless caring, love), I hope to keep walking for a better path during the next year as well.

Hi, sweeties~
I was hoping to do this journal for a while, I've been really busy with a lot of things but at the same time I don't want to start 2020 without writing a proper journal about the webcomic I was doing until some months ago. To put it shortly, I lost my motivation to keep doing the comic and decided to move on to other things that'll give me more personal satisfaction. It doesn't mean that I'll be voiding the characters or their story, they are very important to me still so they'll stay where they are, I just won't be doing new pages for the comic but I may still draw them or get art from them if I feel like, just as any other regular character of mine.
Since the comic won't keep going there's no reason to keep secrets or misteries to "avoid spoilers", so if there's anything you'd like to know feel free to ask me and I'll do my best to properly reply it! Those are still very important characters for me and I surely appreciate the interest.
Now, for a more "in deep" explanation.
Chuvareu was a project I kept struggling with for years, back in 2014 I started it hoping to do a Visual Novel and then changed it to a Webcomic in 2016. Both approaches failled for the same two reasons:
1. Lack of feedback from my watchers/followers. I tried to gather support for it but I didn't simply fail to make people interested on financially support my comic, I could barely make people to read the pages for free, the numbers of views are way smaller than on my regular drawings and was getting smaller each new page. I guess it's just not what my viwers enjoy, which is fine. This leads to the second reason.
2. Lack of time and motivation to properly dedicate myself to it. Without a financial support I had to do the comic pages (which would take me AT LEAST 3 days to complete, if I was fast at it) during my little free time. I managed to keep it going for a while but this was getting very exhausting and not rewarding at all.
I realize we should do what we want without expect recognition from others and I did it, I kept Chuvareu going regardless of the bad number of views and faves for as long as it was something I still enjoyed to do and stopped when I realized that keep going won't be self-rewarding but just stubbornness from my side.
This was a nice experience, though! I surely learned a lot with that and I have no regrets. Comics are fun because they are immersive and give us a better understanding about a story, but a comic also have an order of events that must be followed and some events and arcs are surely less interesting than others, so the fun part of not having a comic is that I can simply draw whichever events I want to, at the order I prefer to.
Finally, I appreciate all the support and interest so far, even if at a minimun, a few fellas would comment and cheer for me on new updates and this surely meant the world to me. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart! β₯

What are montlhy sales?
Montlhy sales are small sales that may happens in any of my social networks β I try to alternate in betwen them β and works in a βfirst come, first servedβ basis. Those are limited to specific themes, drawing styles, etc, they may also happen in form of YCH or adopt and thereβs usually few slots avaliable. As the name states, those are done in betwen my Regular CMs and are complete on the month they open! Because of this, full pictures with background and CLEAR (soft-shading) style are very unlike to happen. They may also be a bit more expensive than Regular Commissions.
Itβs a good chance for those who have missed a Regular CM opening or simply wants to get a picture from me.
Those who support me with 1$ or more on Patreon will be notiefied beforehand during the previous month newsletter about the info regarding a Monthly Sale, by e-mail. This dosnβt allow you to pre-buy or reserve things, but itβs a good way to know whatβs commingβ¦ and if youβll want to save money for that or nah!

Hello~
early this year I started using an e-mail from my own domain, contact@mr-tiaa.com, which felt like super rad!! I have tested it multiple times and it apparently have been working well, but recently it seems to be having some problems...? it seems it failed to send a message twice (even though it's on the outbox) since the customer never received it. I wonder if I did something wrong when setting it or so... I'm kinda noob with computing :'3 I'll be checking it but will stop using it until I am 100% sure it's working well.

no, nothing happened to me nor my artwork!
I just want to know what is this about, if this is true, just general info about it.
early this week, someone contacted me: "Did you know what Nintendo is doing? Just letting you know so you can take care and remove your pokΓ©mon artwork from your page. Nintendo is attacking a lot of furry artists. I don't want anything bad to happen to you." not the exact words, but basically what they said.
I thought it was weird, because at the same time, the new pokΓ©mon from Sword and Shield have been revealed and there was a lot of fanarts. As far as I'm aware about Nintendo's behavior, I know they doesn't accept large commercial fan-projects that mimic their style or that may pass by official, and in those cases they send a cease or desist communication to the creator. But as for regular fanart and small fan-merch, I never heard anything? PKMN Japan even hosted fan art contests on past.
yesterday, I've read something else, a bit different: "Nintendo was contacting artists that have exclusive Patreon content feature PKMN characters." this sounded a bit more logical. I've also heard something about NSFW content, which makes even more sens, I think.
anyway, I'm pretty clueless of what's going on, what's true and what is fake. none of those info came from artists who was actually contacted by Nintendo, nor they had source, this is all the info I have about this. did you heard anything about it? if so, can you please tell me what you know? what EXACTLY is Nintendo targeting? any kind of info is of big help!!

I couldn't do a new page last month because I was busy with the travel, which was way more exhausting than expected. I was hoping to have a new page for June, but because the maid who takes cares of my 90yo grandpa's house got into vacations until next friday, things may get a little bit extra busy, even with the maid working we (me w/ my parents) already go to visit in both lunch and dinner, spending around 3hours per day at his house, so w/out her it may take us a bit more time.
a new page of Chuvareu takes me around 4 to 7 days to complete, for something I do w/out real profit, it's kinda time consuming, I could use this time to do lots of other personal stuff. please don't get me wrong, I love doing Chuvareu and I highly appreciate all the comments and support I get on it <3 and that's exactly because of it that I don't want to force myself to do it, and take the risk of start seeing it as an obligation more than as my beloved project. so I'll just take it easy for now, hopefully things will go back to it's scheldule soon...! hope my watchers will be looking for it~

I see many users complaining on the journal about how furaffinity should focus on other things before implementing a tipping system, but personally I think it's a lovely idea! it's surely helpful for artists~
however, even though Paypal and furaffinity have worked together on this new system, I still feel insecure with the fact that Paypal didn't have a good relationship with furaffinity users on past, being risky to simply mention "furaffinity" and being flagged as porn-dealer. I'm not distrusting furaffinity staffs, but I already had enough complications with Paypal recently due to some complications btw the site and the national bank of my country.

Hello, sweeties~
I'm doing this journal already because next days may get a bit busy,
from April 25th to May 11th, I'll be at Orlando (FL), on a travel with my parents. because my parents doesn't know english, I'm mostly their personal tourist guide and translator, so those travels tend to get me all drained on the end haha ; v ; on the bright side, since eletronics are way cheaper there than on my place, I'll be getting myself an ipad with an apple pen! thank you very much for everyone who helped me with suggestions and opinions when I was gattering info about portable tablets, and extra thanks to everyone who support my work, so I actually have conditions to buy that~
during those days I shall be quiet on furaffinity, because the site isn't mobile friend at all. deviantART mobile isn't the best, but it is doable, and it's the house of the closed species I'm involved with, so I check it more frequently and I'll be doing one or two updates, maybe with the help of my beloved mate shiroganeRyo . since I will -hopefully- get a portable tablet, if I draw something worth sharing I'll post it on my art twitter - and maybe repost on furaffinity/deviantART once I'm back home.

What are montlhy sales?
Montlhy sales are small sales that may happens in any of my social networks β I try to alternate in betwen them β and works in a βfirst come, first servedβ basis. Those are limited to specific themes, drawing styles, etc, they may also happen in form of YCH or adopt and thereβs usually few slots avaliable. As the name states, those are done in betwen my Regular CMs and are complete on the month they open! Because of this, full pictures with background and CLEAR (soft-shading) style are very unlike to happen. They may also be a bit more expensive than Regular Commissions.
Itβs a good chance for those who have missed a Regular CM opening or simply wants to get a picture from me.
Those who support me with 1$ or more on Patreon will be notiefied beforehand during the previous month newsletter about the info regarding a Monthly Sale, by e-mail. UPDATE 05/April. As much as we'll only be able to stash BRL, the problem with sending invoice in other currencies was, apparently, as bug! that's what was reported to us today. We was notified that, starting from April 21th, we wouldn't be able to store any currency other than BRL (Brazillian money) in our account, but from today on, we also aren't able to send invoices requesting other currencies. we still can receive donations, it'll be automatically converted in BRL, but requesting payments and sending invoices is limited to BRL.
the reason for this is political stuff, I don't have knowlodge nor energy to explain,
so moving to where it affects me and my buyers:
> from now on, I'll need to send invoices in BRL
I believe you can pay it with your USD, it'll be converted once it reaches me. but please notice that my currency is pretty weak, it's currently 1USD = 3,86BRL, so you'll see big numbers in your invoice and since the exchange rate varies daily, you may see some difference on the numbers depending of the time I sent you the invoice, and I deeply apologize for this, you may end up charged a bit more (or a bit less) than the amount previously negotiated.
for someone who works in long-term seasons this is very, very complicated, mainly because our country is currently very unstable politically, so the exchange rates are also very unstanble. this sadly is out of my control in all ways and hopefully you all will understand it (β βΈ β)/

I have been wanting to get a mobile drawing tablet, something easy to carry, that I can bring with me and do digital art during travels, while waiting to see a doc, basically when I can't sit down to draw on my computer. and that obviously, dosn't requires me to bring my laptop with me.
if you have a mobile tablet, could you please share some of your experience with me?
suggestions, feedback, any kind of info regarding the matter is very appreciated!

> I have been using a Bamboo and a Intuous Pen small for years, I believe those are rather basic tablets and I'm very happy with their performance. I'm okay with a mobile tablet of same "standard".
> Software wise, I need it to work with either Paint Tool SAI, Clip Studio Paint or any other software that have a good stabilizer and may be bought on a one-time payment - so no Adobe softwares, I can't afford the subscription.
> I need it to be durable. I live in Brazil, devices like those are super expensive here, mail service have super expensive fees for imported items (that'll likely double the price) and many good brands dosn't have a proper support. so I need it to be durable. I originally was considering to get an iPad Pro with an apple pen, but I got torn about it after reading the reviews, mostly says that the pen isn't durable at all so it puts me very insecure about it.

like last year, I'll be taking a break now on February!
from the 6th to 15th I'll be at my mate's place, me and shiroganeryo are on LDR so this is some very special time for us! I won't be online much during those days, so if there's any important matter please message me at telegram (@poochiena) or on my personal twitter (@poochiena).
once I'm back home, I'll be preparing stuff for next commission opening. as always, I'll keep everyone informed through journals and so. drawing wise I'll be fooling around with wtv fits my mood, since it's break time! that's also why there wasn't a new Chuvarey page on Saturday, page 24 will be up on 2nd March.
