Hello everybody, it's been so long. So let's get to the point.

I don't wanna turn this into a goodbye letter, it isn't. I'm not retiring, however this is a somewhat of an "unofficial retirement".
Allow me to explain: As you may remember I went through hell in 2021. Worst Year of My Life, seriously, I still can't believe it! I took up until late December of that year to start looking at anything positive. I even started a new relationship. So how was my 2022? One word: Graduation. Yes, I finally graduated from College. The entire year was spent only exclusively on finishing my grade thesis (it was a whole project that had to meet high standards of quality). So obviously I couldn't draw for that time, actually, I only drew one thing, for my friend  Skylerdgs. So 2022 was very busy and very tense, but I managed to pull through. And went through a break-up, but this time it was very easy to move on from it. It really does make a difference when your partner isn't a egocentric, sociopathic, manipulative monster like ChewingSocks (Cicada from Backgrounds-Ponies). So by the time I finished I was exhausted! Decided to take whole December and January to only rest, although in the end I only ended up resting December because by New Year's I got COVID. It was awful, felt like I could cough my lungs out of my body. Once I got out of it, I started to hunt for a job, which brings up to today.


I've managed to find a really good job and in relation with what I studied on College as my Bachelor's Degree. So with College out of the way and me being hired, I have to take priorities. Drawing was always seen as my hobby, something to do on the side, and never to become something main in my priorities. However between 2019-2021 I did wanted to make it something more "constant". But that changed by mid-2021, it was obvious I couldn't keep up the balance of art & studies as I used to. So thus with this I just have to choose priorities, and my IRL things are the most important right now. And I wanna keep up other hobbies outside art. That means that I won't do art unless time & inspiration really hit. Thus why I'm calling this an "unofficial retirement". Thank you so much to everyone who Watched me, and who enjoy the silly little things I've made.

I posted something here after a while on my submissions. It was just a status update tho.
But I feel it´s necessary to address it.

I don´t know why... Well I do, I´ve been playing since my vacations are almost coming to an end, but damn have I not logged-in in a very long time .w.
(I got more than 1000 submissions I haven´t checked since last time. I´ll have to nuke them again, but gotta log-on more often to see novelties and clean up everything that piles up).

For the first time since I joined FA on 2018, I had to Nuke ALL my submissions. Why? I just can´t keep up with the pace of the art that gets submitted. SO I had to do some sacrifices but many I artists I completely respect and want to support I´ll still managed somewhat to fave most of their works. It really does get impossible to dig through every submission I missed during my recovery and stayed at the hospital.

So, I just went under yet another hospitalization. I´ve been having so many health issues, mostly from something I´ve already dealt with before, but twice in a year, and going through surgery again in less than 3 months, like, wow! That has to be a record for me. Anyways, surgery went well, I´m doing ok, but at the moment have to stay put and calm. Can´t draw for the time being, since I have to focus on my studies and I´m already behind schedule on that thanks to the recent events.

Don´t worry I´m not dead, it takes more to hunt down this otter fox ^W^


As the titles says, I´m splitting ways with (also known as ChewingSocks on Twitter and Backgrounds-Ponies on Tumblr). This comes as a result of her ghosting me for around 2 months and 2 weeks. Even as I tried to established communication, I had no response, until the past Wednesday August 18th, 2021, were she decided to block me from her Twitter. It´s more than obvious at this point she has decided to abruptly end our friendship without any reason given. As such, I´ll remove her icon from my buddies list, and stop any more content related to her or her OCs, such as future drawings and/or collabs. They´re two drawings which I haven´t posted here, those will be posted normally in here, as they were made prior to her acts this past Wednesday, and they´ll be the last HermitCrabsMateUnderwater/ChewingSocks related material coming from me. As for past drawings, those won´t be removed. They might me moved to a historical archive, but that´s yet to be seen. But I repeat, I Will Not Delete Them, (unlike her) I won´t deny my past and pretend it never happened by deleting it or turning a blind eye to it, cause it did happened, they have historical importance on my personal evolution as an artist. Further material involving me and the aforementioned second party, is already archived by me.

No sé por qué me bloqueaste, no tengo ni la más mínima idea, porque tú nunca me dijiste. ¿Habrá sido aburrimiento, por fuerza mayor, por miedo, por racismo hacia mí, por equivocaciones que nunca me diste oportunidad de disculparme por? No lo sé, y por lo que veo jamás lo sabré. Pero no comprendo por qué has decidido tirar abajo nuestra amistad, a pesar de las cosas que he hecho por ti. Veo que por fin sueltas tu máscara, te revelas ante mi tal cual eres. Veo, que nada de eso te importó ni significó nada para ti, porque sí fuera lo contrario, tú no estarías actuando así. Cuando te puse en la lista, hablaba totalmente en serio, no estaba jugando. Eso explica por qué solías hacer esos chistes que tanto me hacían enojar, los de “crearme una novia Lopunny/Braixen robótica”. Detestaba esas insinuaciones, porque ¡yo no quiero una sexdoll! Quiero a una compañera, a un ser especial, con quien platicar, con quien reír, con quien llorar y con quien compartir este viaje que llamamos vida. El que hagas esos chistes insinúas que no puedo conseguir algo así en la vida real, sólo porque tú piensas así. Sé que es algo que tú no quieres, claramente me lo dijiste. Y debí haber visto las señales, porque tú nunca quisiste conectar emocionalmente conmigo, no sé si sabes, pero eso necesitas para entablar una amistad. Tú nunca preguntaste nada personal mío, yo te lo tenía que estar diciendo, y si yo te preguntaba algo personal, tú sólo evitabas la pregunta o me dejabas en visto. Cuánto te dije de mí, y sin embargo tú nunca me contabas nada de ti, siempre había este aura de misterio y mucho miedo en ti cuando quería preguntarte algo. Sea como sea, si para ti sólo fui “un ladrillo más en tu pared” pues yo no te digo lo mismo para ti, porque yo ya destruí mí muro hace años. Porque yo conozco este tipo de cosas, oh sí, sí. Yo pasé así mi vida por casi 8 años seguidos. Me dejó cicatrices emocionales y problemas que lidio personalmente hasta la fecha. Créeme, no vale la pena hacer nada de eso, sólo te lesionarías, y yo sé… sé que puedes ser mejor que esto. Tú estás al mismo nivel de esa chica que me bloqueó en Facebook sin decirme nada, la que tu dijiste “fue cruel y es triste cuando la gente hace eso” cuando te lo comenté, ¿recuerdas? Tú eres mejor que ella, pero… ahora estás a su misma altura. Cicada, de verás sí puedes, destruye esa pared emocional tuya, sólo te traerá más dolor y miseria, enfrenta tus miedos, no es fácil, pero sí no lo haces, te torturarán por el resto de tus días.

En todo caso, mi mayor crimen contigo fue, enamorarme de ti. Después de meses de hablar contigo, para finales de Enero me quedé profunda y perdidamente enamorado de ti. Quería besarte, apapacharte, compartir contigo… pero, veo que eso ya no será. Ni mucho menos podré recuperar nuestra amistad. Pues ni modo, ya me cansé de esperarte día y noche estos 2 meses que me estuviste “fantasmeando”, ya no puedo soportar más tu presión y manipulación. Se acabó tan repentinamente… pero es lo que es.



Adiós Cicada. Fue lindo mientras duró, los recuerdos se quedarán conmigo y la experiencia entera me deja una gran enseñanza.

Well today it´s my birthday, again, celebrating in closed doors due to the pandemic. Most people like to think of their birthday as their special day, I do too, and yet I feel so empty right now. It is not my day, I´ve already grown overly tired at the current circumstances, feels stressed out and unable to do anything correctly, and just feeling like maybe it´s not worth it to keep pursuing something I enjoy. Don´t wanna come off as being completely hopeless, I´ve already felt this way before and gone through it, it´s just very burning to feel this today since yesterday. I guess its still better than nothing.

I am still at the moment doing some new work, I do it on my small spare time intervals. As for personal life, I´m already on the last month of my current semestre, let´s see how things will work out.

Anyways, as closure to this, I wanna give a huge special thank you to all my buddies, especially to:

You might be asking yourself, "how did I get here?". Probably not really, but if so, the answer is simple. So the way I discovered this fandom was through common mentions on stuff like forums, videos, games and especially >this video<, but didn't got into it. It was just something I knew but didn´t quite get the grasp of it. Then FNaF became a thing and saw >this other video<. I mostly like it for the whole FNaF Foxy theme. But browsing through the artists channel saw a video titled "How to be a Furry". Pretty simple but finally got the general idea of it. After that I slowly started falling into the Seven Circles of Furry (yeah also saw that one, literally got recommended to me by Youtube next day xD) , and by early January 2018, I officially joined and thus, creating this profile. :) And I've been hooked since.


So yeah, is that time when I get back to studies, and yes is still in online form -w-.
That means I won´t be as active on social media, though I will keep an eye on DMs/Notes, as well as new submissions. This is just a heads up if I don´t answer comments or messages right away.

Por fin conseguí Mass Transit e Industries para Cities Skylines. y para las rebajas de Invierno pienso conseguir el Sunset Harbor. También me espero a para La Resistance y Battle for the Bosporus para HOI4. Así que voy a andar desactivado acá y en muchísimos otros lugares. A parte de que (potencialmente) vaya a irme a Taiwán entonces con más razón me dan ganas de jugar ewe.

Finally I was able to get Mass Transit and Industries for Cities Skylines, and for the Winter Sale I´ll get Sunset Harbor. Alongside, will get La Resistance and Battle for the Bosporus for HOI4. So I´m gonna be deactivated here and many other places. Plus I (potentially) go to Taiwan by February, therefore I get more reasons to want to play ewe

I am very very euphoric to say my mother is finally free from COVID.

After 3 stressful, feeling like never-ending, weeks in total isolation she is finally free from COVID and can be out with us again (without lowering our guard of course). It wasn´t easy for none of us, I sometimes could barely sleep. But now the nightmare is finally over, we´ve overcome this together.

With all the pain in my heart, I must inform this:

My mother and sister have contracted COVID-19. From now on, I´ll have to take care of them and do any chores at home. That means I´ll be very inactive, but on chances and time to time I´ll be peeking out here on news and submissions. I have one thing to post today and that´ll be it for a while.

Please anybody whose reading this, don´t lower your guard, stay at home, only go out if crucial.

I´m back home from church, it was my grandmother´s funeral. She passed away yesterday in the morning, not from COVID-19, but from a respiratory failure ( she already had had some issues regarding her throat). She peacefully died alongside my grandpa while sleeping, didn´t suffer nor felt pain, as she always wanted. I´m calm knowing that she did the most of her life gave my dad, uncles, me and his other nieces a great childhood and so many stories and memories that´ll never fade. Can´t thank you enough for what you did to me, I know you´re resting in eternal happiness.

Finally remade my FA profile to my heart's content. It's my profile it should be a good reflection and feel like it was made by me. The only thing is I wish I could just copy and paste all the artists icon I followw, they're so many I wished I could fit in there. And for some reason Zomboyde´s and Wolflong´s don´t load properly, that one is super weird.

So the last 2 days haven´t been active on any social media. Sadly my PC´s battery is running into many issues.It appears its on its lasts days :c Thankfully 2 hours ago (from when I posted this) it stabilized, hence why you´re seeing this. I also got caught in the middle of a Windows update and even though I let that crap run all night long, it clogged itself in a neverending black Stand By screen. Tried again but it doesn´t go further than 25%. So I said screw it, I need to get back on track with my thesis and other junk from my other courses.

This also means, unfortunately, no new drawings (or at least very complex ones involving shading and coloring) until I replace the battery.

I´m open to your help. My computer is a ASUS Rog Strix GL702VS laptop.

Here´s an idea I have for improving the FA interface: Have a "Fave all" button.

I´m already following like 160 artists, half of them don´t post too frequently but even those let´s say, 50-60 artists do keep a constant workflow. It has happened to me on many occasions, I just go away for a day, and my submissions feed is like 40S+. It´s quite overwhelming. I´d love a "Fave all" button, after all, I already know what content the artists upload, there´s a reason why they´re already are on my watch list. And if maybe the´re Adopt or YCH reminders, the system could also implement a similar mechanic to the "Check/Uncheck All", "Remove Checked". I just check the submissions and then fave them, making it practical to avoid the reminders. It´d be a very cool and helpful feature. What do you think?

Has this ever happened to you? You´re looking through some old comments on pics, and art that you swear you had added to your favorites suddenly turns out it wasn´t. Is it a glitch? Does FA have trouble when dealing with giant 1 folder fav galleries or perhaps I just have very terrible memory?
