The best news is that my recent ex and I are working things out and I hope we get back together.

Almost done with my internship for school and even closer to graduation. :3 ♥ This is like awesome. I can't wait to sleep in for a few days before I have to find work. I'm hoping to be able to move out of Ohio and either go back to college for a higher degree and find a job. There are only two colleges here that offer degrees in illustration.
That's about it for now I guess. I'm terrible at writing a journal that has any sizable amount of content.

Posted 11 years agoJust one more semester of school and I'll be done and with my first degree. I can't wait so I can move out of Ohio I hope and get someplace warmer with more furs. It's so lonely here. T^T

I hated it when I had to do it in high school and I still hate it. It doesn't like me and it breaks all the time. T^T

Posted 12 years agoSo, for a project, I'm doing an 11"x17" type poster for school.
Our limitations are: up to two (2) different typefaces, up to two (2) spot PMS colors, a tinted background or colored paper. Not to use CMYK or full colors. Must be done in either Illustrator, InDesign. Cannot use photoshop, not even imports. Our topic is either "Words at Play," or "Typography and Writing." We have to follow design principles, especially figure/ground and have good tracking and kerning. Must be a vector path.
My subject is Alice in Wonderland, more specifically, the cheshire cat. I had my thumbnail desig done the day we got the assignment and I started to do my line art in InDesign yesterday. So far, as of typing this, I have spent a total of 6 hours and 42 minutes working on it.
I might open up these for commissions if people show interest, and now that my pen tool is working properly now, I can probably produce them faster.
When I finish this poster, I'll post it here for my example and then I'll open for commission for them if people show interest. I haven't worked out a price yet though, but maybe around $20-$25?

Back from Ohayocon
Posted 12 years agoThis past weekend was great fun and it amused me greatly. Was too lazy to take any pics, so I wont be uploading anything lol.
On Saturday, my friend and I went as Cocona from Ar Tonelico 3. We did manage to get the costumes finished, though they were a little "wrong" and we had to do some touch-ups with the scissors and saftypins I brought.
If you were at Ohayocon, you prolly saw us two near the sword booth in the merch room. The one that sold the cocain, pussy and Bawls energy drinks before the con decided they were a conflict of interest from the cafeteria. We also worked in that booth on Sunday, great fun <3
Looking forward to next years con and getting to see someone again <3

Posted 12 years agoSo my friend's and my costumes aren't finished yet T^T And Ohayocon is this weekend T^T The buttons and zippers for my jacket and pants poofed and my friends jackets hasen' even gotten sewn together yet T^T We are so slow, we started waaaaayyyyyy too late on these costumes, We haven't even started painting our boots yet and our hair pieces haven't gotten started yet, though for those were just gluing gems to a pair of irnate candle holders lol.
Frantic text over, for now. I have so much to do and like no time to do it in. We leave at 6am tomorrow and I haven't even packed XD Man this isn't good.

Posted 12 years agoI can't believe its almost time for Ohayocon already. My friend and I are going to go as male twin versions of Cocona from Ar Tonelico. We have the costumes all designed as of now, but we haven't started sewing them together or anything. We're kinda slow lol.
My friend also plans to take me to the hooka bar not far from the Hyatt, though I haven't really smoked much, it soundslike fun. He's excited to meet some fellow furs from OSU if we can find them. We aren't suiting this year, because we don't have suits yet, but he wants to next year. Lets hope I can get enough money from work study over the course of the year and that I can start selling some art so I can afford one XD.
In other news, I start my Spring semester on Monday. The school fucked me over and cancelled two of my classes and didn't bother telling me so I had to register for the morning times of those same classes. Instead of having classes from 6:30pm-9:50pm, I have them from 8:00am-3:30pm (before, I had my four classes separated, but now they are all on teh same days T^T.) I'm going to have a total overload of homework to do, but the plus side is that I only have school two days a week, Monday and Wednesday. Tis all for now, chiao.
