Incoming Mega-Upload!
Posted 4 years ago
Hey guys!
Back in March, as celebration for my birth month, I took a BUNCH of lion-themed commissions. Some of them I've uploaded here already, but not all of them- because I did SO many and I tend to want to space out uploads here on FA just a bit. But now I've got so much art that it would take forever to get caught up! That means this week I'm going to be uploading all of them- so be prepared for a TON of lion (and other) art to be uploaded super quickly over the next few days!
I'm hoping in June to open up more commissions, though as another heads-up, I tend to get more response nowadays on Twitter, so if you're active there be sure and give me a follow so you can see whenever I open up commissions, specials, etc!

Thank ya'll! <3

Commissions & Queue/Info
Posted 5 years ago
Hello everyone!
So, while dealing with all sorts of crazy life things, I'm still trying to take things slowly, day by day, in regards to seeing just how much I can do with art and if it's possible for me to do this full time. Over the past few months, I've tested the waters through various platforms and tried to get a feel for where I need to go and what I need to do to get there, as well as how my general commission process is changing- what my new turn time is, what styles and formats I can branch out to, etc. I've even started a few streams, here and there!
I've since been juggling commission openings in a few other places in addition to FA, but I still want to focus on using FA for now as much as I can. With that being said, I am going to open for FIVE slots here on this journal, and will also be using this journal to keep track of the current commissions I'm working on as well as the new ones.

While I do know of and have dabbled with Trello a bit here and there, for now it's still a bit more cumbersome and unfamiliar to me as opposed to using FA journals as I've always had. I'm still toying around with Trello for other uses, to try and get myself more comfortable with it, and until I feel confident enough to utilize it to its full I will keep my progress on commissions updated and displayed on this journal.
To claim one of the five FA slots, please either comment on his journal or send me a note with the information pertaining to what you'd like to commission.
Estimated turn time for these will be 1-3 weeks. Hopefully sooner, I'll do my best!
Lastly, if it's easier for you, you may also contact me via Telegram or Twitter, my @ for both of those is TiggerPup91
I'm trying to be more active on those two sites, post more content more frequently, and am looking into the logistics of getting an update/art channel on TG as well.
As always, thank you guys so much! Ya'll are the best! <3

Experimental Commissions CLOSED- FILLED!
Posted 5 years ago
IT BEGINS!
But, I wanted it to begin with something liberating and creative, so, my first commission opening in years will be for EXPERIMENTAL commissions! :D
===What is an "Experimental" Commission?===
These are commissions where you give me a character and I draw pretty much whatever I want, however I want, maybe even using new techniques or using it as an overall learning experience. Am I going to make a badge, an expression sheet, a speed-paint, a sketch page? Who knows! It could be anything!
HOWEVER! You absolutely may say "I do not want them to be drawn X way" or "I prefer an X kind of feel" and I will 100% respect how you do or do not want a certain character drawn. (Please note, I do not draw NSFW.) Other than that, the rest is up to me! Because of this, these are going to be priced differently than from my usual commission price guide.
Experimental Commissions are a flat price of $25.00 USD. There will be 5 (five) slots this round.
Unlike regular commissions, I will ask for payment to be sent up front. Since these are experimental, I won't be doing any requested revisions during the commission process (obviously the exception to this is if I mess up some markings, I can and will always fix those mistakes when pointed out).
===How to Request an Experimental Commission===
You may comment on this journal, or if you prefer to keep communication private, you may send me a Note here on FA. For this opening, slots are first come first serve, though this may change in the future. Please note I will also be posting this opening to my Twitter account and users over there may also message me there to claim a slot. Please Note that I use journals to keep track of who I owe commissions to, meaning your icon will be displayed publicly as on my list. If you do not want your icon to be shown PLEASE let me know!
And now, to the main event!
===Slots===
1.
PAID ((DONE))
2.
PAID ((DONE))
3. Jackyhark on TG - PAID ((DONE))
4.
PAID ((DONE))
5.

My turnaround is generally 1-2 weeks, though I hope to have these done quickly!
As always, thank you all for your wonderful support! <3
-Tigger
P.S. Please make sure you've read my Terms of Service before commissioning me~
PROGRESS UPDATE 6/09: Guess who had not one but TWO babies born in the family in the span of the past two weeks?! :P (All congrats to my sister and my sister-in-law!) It's pushed my earlier timeline back a little more than I'd like, plus Pride icons, but I am still working on these! Thank ya'll for your patience! <3
Hello!
Posted 5 years agoHello, FA!
Man, it's been a while, hasn't it? If I had an hour I couldn't really fit everything I'd wanted to say in this, so I'll try and keep things brief.
I don't quite want to say I'm "back", because that would mean I had "left", when really, I just took a break that ended up being a little longer than I'd anticipated. I know I've neglected uploading artwork I've made over the past year or so to FA, and because of that I've got a lot of 'backlog' pieces or so that I still have to put up here.
I'm going to be spending the next week or so uploading the artwork I've made over the past year or two! I've been pretty active on Twitter, so if you want to be as up-to-date on my stuff as possible, you can go pay me a visit over there! Otherwise, keep your eyes peeled for a bunch of art soon to come!
As far as commissions go, I do want to have another journal opening like I used to, but I don't want to put out any dates or make any promises quite yet.
Regardless, I absolutely and wholeheartedly appreciate every single one of you who still watches me, or even those who've favorited, commented, or even just enjoyed any of my art. As always, ya'll are awesome and you guys keep me going. <3

Commissions CLOSED!
Posted 7 years ago
** UPDATE 5/08/18 **
I am deciding to close commissions for the moment, until I finish with my current queue and allowing for a little time for a break. My wrist has been acting up quite a bit lately and though I'm loathe to do it, I really need to give myself a week or two (once these commissions are done) of rest. Thank you all for your support! I'm slowly starting to get over this nasty sinus infection and your patience and kindness really means a lot to me. <3
================
Here we go again! :D
Last commission batch was a success and I'm happy to be able to keep going. So let's do just that!

Commissions CLOSED! All slots filled!

Hello again, everyone! <3
It's way overdue, but finally time for me to have another commission opening! I'm super excited to be getting back into the swing of these, and ya'll can expect a LOT more activity from me from here on out. I almost feel as if I've come back from TFF a changed person- changed, for the better. I met and spent time with so many wonderful people, heard things I really needed to hear and had the kind of interaction with other members of the community I hadn't realized just how badly I had been missing. I know it's February, but it feels more like the start of a new year for me than January did.
ANYWAYS! I'll stop rambling for now, and get to the commission opening details!

#TFF2018 Texas Furry Fiesta meme! <3
Posted 8 years agoHiya, everyone! I'll be attending Texas Furry Fiesta this year, for all three days! I'm super excited for it, I'll be selling badges (pre-orders are currently open, see this submission for more details and info!) and hope to see all you fuzz-butts there!
Since I haven't done one of these in a while, let's get this meme-thing going! <3
Where are you staying?
The Hyatt Regency Dallas!
What day are you getting there? How long are you staying?
I'll be there Thursday afternoon, leaving at night, then coming back early Friday morning and staying at the hotel until Sunday!
How are you traveling?
Either the train or driving, not sure yet~
Who will you be rooming with?
With
BeastSoul !
Who will you hang out with during the convention?
As many friends as I can find! Though I'm gonna be spending 99% of my time at the Artist Alley (if I can get a table)
What do you look like?
I'll probably be wearing my Lerato hoodie so you can find me pretty easily!
What is your gender?
Female
How tall are you?
Not very. :3
How is the best way to find you?
Artist Alley! Or, contact me on Twitter and/or Telegram @ TiggerPup91
If I see you, how should I get your attention?
You can usually call out my name! Haven't met any other furries that go by "Tigger" so if I hear that called, chances are I'll be looking around to find out who's calling me. :P I hope to be behind a table at the artist alley the whole time, though, so I may be a little busy.
Are there any panels you might be attending?
There's one I'd like to attend Thursday night- and if I don't get a table at the Artist Alley, I may spend that time running around looking for a few panels.
Will you be going to parties?
Nope! Sorry, I'm not a party person.
Will you be performing/fursuiting?
Er, no, I don't really have any performance stuff to do, lol, and I don't have a suit. I'll just be sitting and drawing the hours away~
Do you do free art/trades/commissions?
I'll be open for badge commissions! They'll be $25 at the con or $20 pre-ordered! If you're interested but can't find me, feel free to send me either a Note here on FA, a message on Twitter, or a message on Telegram!
Do you have an artist table?
Not Dealer's Den, but I'll be trying for the Artist Alley lottery all three days. I'll update on Twitter if/when I get one!
Are you mated/in a relationship?
Nope, I'm happily single.
Can I talk to you?
Of course! I'd love to say hi and chat for a bit! Though honestly I'm pretty socially inept, lol, though so I apologize if I'm not very talkative.
What languages do you speak?
Just English.
Can I touch you?
Hugs are okay if you ask!
Can I hug or snuggle with you?
Just hugs, ask first please. ^^'
Can I visit your room?
No, sorry! I'll be sharing a room with others and don't want to violate their privacy.
Can I buy you drinks?
DIET COKE IS MY MANA
(I don't 'drink' tho)
Can I give you stuff?
Sure, if you'd like!
Are you nice?
I definitely try to be! I'll always do my best to greet people with a smile and genuinely hope that everyone I meet at the con is having a great time. I wish I could be there for everyone and make everyone happy, and I am mostly going to be at this con because it's the only furry convention I can attend each year. Overall I'd love to meet you and making new friends is always the greatest part of any con! <3
Where will you be most of the time during the days?
Hotel, Artist Alley!
What/where will you be eating?
Pop-Tarts. Lots and lots of Pop-tarts. (Also if anyone wants to buy communal pizza I can chip in a few bucks for a slice ;P)
Can I come with you for food/fun/etc?
You're more than welcome to ask, and I'd love to have you along, but that will probably depend on what my current queue is for badges, and if I still need to be in the Alley or if I've got time to jump away for an hour or so to eat or attend a panel. I can't give a straight answers here, but if it can work out, that's great!
Can I look in your sketchbook?
I'll actually be bringing and displaying a folder that has examples of my digital artwork, you're more than welcome to look through it! <3
Can I take your picture?
I'm actually very camera-shy and would prefer not to be in any pictures, if that's alright... I may ask for a picture with a fursuiter, but that's because I like to keep those photos for myself. Having photos of myself floating around where I don't know gives me a lot of anxiety. ;v;
What's your goal(s) for the con this year?
If I can just get one full, solid day- either Friday or Saturday- of selling in the Artist Alley, then I'll be happy. I'm very nervous that I won't be able to get it, though, so wish me luck!
So yeah, that's all for me! Hope to see you all there! <3

2017 Update -- And Toward 2018
Posted 8 years agoHello, everyone!
So, it's been a while- a very, very long while. A little over a year since my last journal. 2017 has not been the best year for me, but I am looking forward to 2018. I'm hoping that I can even start the year off with a new commission opening and dedicate more time in the new year towards making more art and having more commission openings. But before we get into that, I wanted to make an important and detailed journal about how this year went and how things have gone for me as a person and as an artist. So this journal will be as much of a 'summary' of 2017 as I can manage. In addition, I finally feel comfortable enough talking about something that happened late last year that was largely the root cause of my inactivity for the past year.
In August of '16, my parents were the victims of a terrible fraud incident. At the time, I had just renewed my second year contract in my first apartment- my finances weren't great, but I had built up a nice 'nest egg' so that I could feel comfortable living on my own, paying rent and bills and such. My parents' house, however, required repairs that their insurance would not pay for. They did not have anywhere near the amount required to make those fixes and would've had to make major sacrifices in order to afford the repairs. I lent my parents the amount so they could get their house fixed. And with that, all of my savings were gone.
For the next year, I lived more or less paycheck to paycheck. I had just renewed a year-long rent contract and couldn't back out of it, and still had monthly student loan payments I had to make. This was when I decided to try and take on a second job, and stop with commissions, so I could focus on increasing my income. Plans of getting myself out of student loan debt were put on hold. While the second job didn't pan out, I still managed to hang on and keep on keeping on. I put a lot of things to the side this past year and it took many months after the insurance incident before I started to even feel like going out to eat or buying myself a new video game was okay. I never wanted to reach out for help during this time because, as difficult as it was, I was still able to make ends meet and pay my bills on time. Regardless of the incident, I was still one of the lucky ones and I never wanted to forget or not be appreciative of what I had, as opposed to many others who did not.
I'm no longer living in my own place; I've moved back in with my parents, as balancing finances got too rough, the apartment rent's increase was too high, and I need to focus on paying back my student loans right now. It's been a heavy blow to my morale and confidence, and something I've felt too embarrassed to talk about. My older siblings have their own families, their own places- and I'm a twenty-six year old adult living with my parents. In addition, my intense focus on my job has meant a lot of other things have come second this year- I wasn't even able to vend at TFF, even though I could attend, because I couldn't get enough time off work. Still, this hardship has had a silver lining, and my hard work has paid off in the form of further advancement, rewards, and recognition at work. And while I still hate getting up so early and coming home so late, I'm comforted by the fact that I know I am valued at my job.
In addition to the heavy blow to my finances, I've also had more troubles with my health as sickness ate away at me and every doctor's visit turned out fruitless and expensive. The best "answer" I've been able to find, through hundreds of dollars and far too many stressful doctor visits, was that I have IBS- incurable and different for each person, there's nothing I can do to 'fix' or even alleviate the stress and pain it causes. This year has consisted of a lot of hours of pain, a lot of 'trying' different foods, and no real solution. Ultimately, I've had to mentally come to terms that I will never know for sure what will make me sick when I sit down to eat, and that therefore I will always have to be prepared for anything to make me sick. It's been a mentally trying and exhausting time, and I'm quite sure this is only the beginning.
Artistically, I don't feel like my art or style has *changed* much since last year. That's not to say I don't think I've improved- I do think I have improved in many ways, small though they may be. Still, there have been times when I've looked at a piece of art I made and thought I made it this year when in fact I made it in 2016, not 2017. It's because of that I feel like I haven't made the biggest or the best strides that I could've, but considering how strenuous this year was, I'm honestly just glad I was able to keep drawing at all throughout it. And yes, I do feel like I've made some good improvements in refining my art, being more focused on improving and finding ways I can make what I'm drawing better. I hope that, no matter what the next year brings, I can at least hold onto that.
Throughout the year, as I've been able to take on a few sparse commissions here and there, it's always been important to me to thank each and every person who supports me. This year has been one of the roughest years I've had that I can remember, and every single positive interaction I've been lucky enough to experience I've desperately held onto as tightly as I could. Some days, it was all that kept me afloat. And while I didn't, couldn't, upload artwork at the rate I would have liked, I still enjoyed every single piece of art I made, every single interaction I had with another member of the furry community, and each moment I spent creating artwork was a moment I will cherish.
While I had intended to raise my prices at the start of 2017, this never happened and at times I wondered if my art was even 'good enough' to charge more for. And throughout the year, I've learned that being a certain level of "good" doesn't necessarily mean higher or lower prices. The prices set by each artist have multiple reasons and often can contain reasons that another artist doesn't have to factor in to their own prices. Over the past three years, I've kept the same prices. I feel comfortable now finally going into a new year and raising my prices.
I am very lucky to have what I have- a roof over my head, a bank account that can pay bills on time, a steady job and a loving family. A car that gets me to and from work, with enough gas as it needs and the ability to pay for repairs when it needs them. However rough this year was for me- and it's tried me to my very core- at the end of the day I always take a step back and acknowledge that things could be much worse, and that I shouldn't take anything that I have for granted. Lastly, I also have you guys- the entire furry fandom has been nothing short of a second family to me ever since I first discovered it. You guys help me grow as a person, as an artist. I've said it once before, but it's worth saying again- without the furry fandom, I would not have art in my life. For all that you guys give me, it's all I can do to give back what I can.
You all can look forward to more art from me in 2018. I plan on releasing a new price list at the start of January, opening up for TFF badge pre-orders, and opening for more commissions via journals at the start of the new year. For all those who have stuck with me this past year, even as I uploaded so little, thank you so much. For those who have recently found my page, you guys are awesome, too! Thank you all so very much for all that you do. <3

Commissions CLOSED - Last Opening Before Hiatus!
Posted 9 years ago
== Update ==
== 11-17 ==
Still trucking along with my final two commissions from this batch. I'll have some news to announce once they're completed. Thank you again, to all who continue to enjoy and support my art. Ya'll are the best. <3
~~~~~
Heya, everyone! So I've got a bit of an announcement, some news, and a special commission opening! Some of you who follow me on Twitter may already know this, but I recently accepted a position for a part-time job working as a cashier. I've got too much free time after work, coming home and doing nothing all night, and very little to do on the weekends as well. And since my commissions have been very slow as of late, I haven't been able to justify sitting home and relying on commission work to feel like a 'part-time job', because it just isn't anymore. This and some real-life financial troubles have made me feel like this is the best course of action for me, and I am very excited to get busy, have the extra income to better support myself and my family, and learn new things.
However, because of this, I will go from having a nice amount of free time to practically zero. Thus, I will probably be taking a hiatus very shortly. For how long, I don't really know. And while I say 'hiatus', this doesn't necessarily mean I'm going to disappear, or that I'm going to abandon the site completely. Definitely not! Just that I will halt commissions for an indefinite amount of time and will probably not be very active. Still, it's worth it to say that I do not know when I will open commissions again after this- it all depends on how my second job goes.
It's worth pointing out that, because of this, this commission opening may very well be the last time I open commissions with my current prices. I plan on raising my prices (slightly!) come 2017, but because I don't know if I'll be opening again between now and January, it's prudent to point this out in case some of you may want to have notice before my prices raise and want the chance to get something at my current prices before the change.
With that being said...!
If you would like a commission:
-Please comment on this journal requesting a slot! If you could, please also mention what you would like. You don't have to, however- I'll send you a note afterwards to confirm and get all the details. You can also privately note me to claim a slot, if you prefer!
-I cannot guarantee the time frame for completion on these- as a reminder, I do not take nor accept payment until a sketch has been given to you, and you have approved it. At that time I move into finishing the piece for you. You are welcome to message me to question the status of your commission, however do keep in mind that I will update the status of all commissions- working on, or not yet started- here in this journal. :)
Thanks all! I cannot emphasize how much your support, kind words, and overall encouragement has meant to me over the years. Ya'll have helped me through some big moments in my life and I appreciate every moment. <3 I will continue to keep you all updated as best I can.
Ya'll rock.
At A Crossroads
Posted 9 years agoHeya all,
So, I've done quite a bit of thinking as of late, and made an effort to get as much art done as I can. Even when I had no commissions to work on, I sketched and set time aside from my day to brainstorm and work on new things. But I wasn't ever feeling as "into it", I guess, as I normally am. And when I tried to make YCHs, I wasn't ever pleased with the results enough to put them out. On top of that, for some reason, it's become a bit difficult to fill up my commission slots as of late. There have also been a few very serious things going on IRL very recently for me that have hit me... financially... quite hard. So hard that I've never brought it up because there is nothing anyone can do about it, nor would any amount of income earned from Emergency Commissions even begin to touch it. I've had to work through those IRL financial issues on my own as of late, and it's been a bit discouraging that, throughout that, the effort I've been putting into my art lately isn't as... fruitful, I guess, for me in the ways it usually is. It's not been as successful for me in terms of commissions, or in terms of making me feel better or feel improved while drawing.
With that said, I've found myself at a bit of a crossroads. I see two main options for myself here, and I don't really think I could toe the line between the two of them, so it'd have to be either one or the other. Not ultimately, of course, but for the time being until I find something else that will work. I could either continue struggling through this 'art block', I suppose, and make more effort in putting out commissions and YCHs and even personal art, if that gets me where I need to be. I could purchase some ads on FA, or get more into advertising on Twitter, I could read up on more tutorials and try new things... etc etc. But at the same time, I'm worried that it might continually weigh me down or get my hopes up just to be a waste of time/effort.
Or, I could take a break from FA. Yes, I know that "quitting" (not for good, of course, just temporarily) won't really 'solve the problem' in terms of me being satisfied with my art, or receiving any commissions, but it may help me IRL, both mentally and emotionally, to do something else for a while. Perhaps I could get into the new Legion expansion of WoW and play it during my free time, enjoy what it's got to give, and focus on IRL things instead of FA or art. I've entertained the idea of getting a second job (part-time) to help with the financial problems I've had, but my family doesn't want me to do that for fear of it making me overworked. And while I could consider 'art' a part-time job, my prices don't really make up for the time I take in them and don't really count as a job in this sense. True, I could raise my prices, but... I don't really want to? I'd rather wait for the new year to do that...
Anyways, I've been rambling a bit here. A lot of this helps me just by writing it all down, but at the end of the day, I'm piling up all the 'end of the day' feelings and thoughts I have from my attempts at focusing on and putting effort into my art and FA, and the wonderful community here that I'm a part of, and I'm slowly beginning to wonder if a break, or a change of pace, would be beneficial or not. Perhaps I'm being overly-dramatic, or getting disheartened over something minor. Perhaps I'm not taking enough consideration into my own mental/emotional well-being and not accurately balancing my 'free' time with my 'work' time, etcetera etcetera. I don't really know, but...
I'd really like to hear ya'll's opinions on this. What you think would be a good course of action, or any other ideas you may have that could help. At times like these, when I feel stuck, sometimes I am most comforted by knowing you guys are here to listen to me and offer advice, a few words, or just a smile.
Thanks again, everyone.
Just a quick and small opening for some commissions! Five slots this time with no back-up queue, meaning I'll just be taking five and closing until the next batch. Haven't done a small opening like this in a while, so I think it'll be nice. ^^
Yet Another Update
Posted 9 years agoHey all!
So, aside from one commission where I am waiting to hear back from the commissioner, my previous Emergency Commission queue is all completed. Thank you all so much to everyone, I don't know what I'd do without you guys. <3
Thought I would post a new update journal, just to keep in touch with ya'll and share some of my thoughts and real-life stuff.
First order of business: For those that may have missed it, I now have a Terms of Service! :3 I'm pleased with how this turned out- though it did end up rather long- and feel a bit more confident and secure for future commissions. A lot of things I mention there have actually happened to me before, so by including them I want to make sure it doesn't happen again, and make sure everyone is in the know with how I work through commissions. If you ever have any questions on how getting a commission from me works, please feel free to read those over! My goal is they will provide a nice, safe "cushion" for both parties involved so as to reduce/eliminate any future issues regarding commissions.
NOW. With that outta the way. Second order of business, I suppose, is discussing another future commission opening. A lot of IRL stuff has been going on, and some of it pretty heavy for me. I've been working through- or rather, attempting to work through- some unpleasantness and minor health issues that can't seem to go away. It's leaving me pretty tired and with less and less free time in the day to focus on art. And as I've always said, art has always been a side thing for me, something when I have free time for. And more and more, it feels like commissions turn it into a second job, which adds to my stress of making sure those who commission me, and express interest in commissioning me, are treated fairly and receive their end of the purchase/exchange within acceptable and reasonable times. It's this main concern, with the growing amount of IRL things keeping me from having time to work on commissions, that's making me veer more towards opening commissions, but this time for much less. Gone, I think, are the days where I take ten slots at a time. I don't think I should- CAN, even- do that anymore. Five should be my limit, I think.
Another thing I've been thinking about lately, is how much more I enjoy drawing YCHs instead of commissions. I feel much more inspired and motivated to draw when I have a blank slate to work with, when I draw whatever I feel like drawing, and enjoy finishing it to the satisfaction of whoever purchased the already-sketched piece. Now, I've followed many artists before who have turned their gallery and entire commissioning experience into a YCH-only bonanza, and I've never really been fond of it, so I definitely do not want to do that. But at least for now, you may expect to see a small influx of YCHs popping up, simply because, at least for now, it's what I am enjoying most. It's not going to be a permanent thing, though, so don't worry about that!
As far as what I had previously wanted to do, daily uploads, that... probably will not happen. I don't mind my gallery being somewhat small, and honestly I prefer quality over quantity, anyways. So I don't think I'll ever feel like in a bind to upload something 'just because' or 'because I haven't uploaded something in a few days'. I like to keep you guys entertained and make a lot of art, but at the same time, I don't want anyone to feel like I'm "gone" just because I haven't uploaded in a week or two. I'm still here! Still, I don't ever want to feel like I'm making excuses or trying to avoid anyone, nor would I want any of ya'll to think I've abandoned you or fallen out of interest with art. As each day goes by, I learn more, think more, question more... And while some things may change, my love of art, of fantasy characters, of animals and cartoons and of this community in general, will not.
Getting kinda ranty here, so as always I'll try and summarize with a tldr;
• lotsa irl busy things, so daily submissions = lolno
• ychs soon to come maybe b/c I like them
• commission opening soon?? ish? 5 slots max probably tho
• I may be quiet but I'm not gone, promise <3
New journal to come soon, hopefully!
Thanks again, everyone. Ya'll rock my socks.
= Terms of Service =
Posted 9 years ago
I feel like it's finally time to create and upload an official Terms of Service. These terms are henceforth active and all my commission work from now on will adhere to these terms. A special thanks to all who have supported and commissioned me in the past, those who do in the present and in the future, and especially those who have encouraged the creation of these terms. You guys rock.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
== TERMS OF SERVICE ==
By commissioning me, you agree to these Terms of Service.
These terms are non-negotiable and apply to any and all who order artwork from me.
Any infraction of these terms may result in the termination of your commission.
No exceptions.
Please keep in mind that I reserve the right to decide what types of commissions I will do or will not do, in regards to the taste and maturity of said artwork.
As a general rule of thumb, my art is SFW (Safe For Work), and I do not accept commissions that are NSFW (Not Safe For Work) or adult/mature in any way.
If you have any questions on this, please feel free to ask- and I will politely explain in further detail regarding certain themes that I either am or am not comfortable working with.
Thank you for understanding.
= Claiming a Commission Slot =
I open commissions via Journals and announcements on my Twitter and Telegram channel- this means I will publicly announce when I am open for commissions, which types, and how many I will be taking at one time. I will also note the ways in which a commission slot from me can be ordered. Please make sure you read the journals clearly so that you can claim a commission slot in accordance with the parameters I have outlined in that specific journal, as they may change from time to time. I may take a few commissions at one time, or many- I may only open for one type, or various types. Sometimes I offer specials. I will always outline how a commission slot can be claimed in the opening Journals.
You MUST be willing and ABLE to pay for the commission, in full, once you have reserved the slot. I do not do holds, I do not do payment plans. You may not reserve a slot and then hold it because you are unable to pay. My current Commission Price Guide will always be linked to on each commission opening, so you will be able to see ahead of time what the cost will be for what commission you are wanting.
= The Commission Process =
Communication regarding commissions will be kept through FA Notes, Twitter DM's, or Telegram DM's. I will give you my email address if you have any reference images related to your commission that I require to see that cannot otherwise be shared- however, please do not use my email address to ask me about commissions, give me details/updates, etc. My email address is available in my contact information, however it should ONLY be used as communication should FurAffinity be down or you are otherwise unable to use the Note system.
At the start of the commission, I will always need to know as many details as possible to complete your commission to your satisfaction. Please know that the less information you give me, the more I will have to ask you for details, which will delay the process. For instance, if you want your character 'dancing' and that's all you tell me- how do I know if you want them doing an elegant ball dance, instead of a rave, rock-and-roll dance pose? If you are peculiar about how you want your commission to look, I need to know all the information at once and up front.
You must tell me how you would like your image rendered, to the specifics of my most current Commission Price Guide. This way, I will be able to tell you, at the start of the commission, what the cost will be. The prices I give you up front are non-negotiable. If there is a problem or delay with your commission because of an error or problem on my end, I may cut the cost to make up for it, at my own discretion. Regardless, you may not ask me for any price cuts or negotiation. Any attempt to haggle or request a different price than what you are given may result in your commission slot being revoked. My prices are clearly posted at the start of each journal opening so you will be able to see what the cost is before requesting your commission.
I will also need as many reference images for your character as you can provide me. Please know that if I am creating your character's reference sheet, I will require a previous image reference to work off of. This can be lineart colored as a temporary placeholder reference until the custom one is completed, or a previous commission for the character that you have received.
Please note: If you do not have any reference images of your character, there may be an extra charge or fee associated with your commission, to compensate for the extra time the commission will require to tinker with and edit your character to suit your liking.
I will always provide at least one WIP, or Work In Progress. This will often be a very rough sketch that will give you a basic idea of what the commission will look like. Please be advised that this WIP will not always include your character's markings, jewelry, etc. It is mainly to serve as a precursor to where the commission will go moving forward. I will provide WIPs after each requested change or edit. I will not move forward with completing the commission, nor will I ask for payment, until you have approved the final sketch.
Important: The sketch-WIP process is not meant to take long, nor is it meant to have several upon several revisions. If you request multiple and excessive edits to the piece over several notes and WIPs, you may be charged extra for the additional hours spent on your commission. My prices are meant to have a general estimate of what each type of commission takes me, but revising one piece many times will take longer than this estimate and thus will cost more. Upon the first WIP shown, I will always ask that you advise me of every single edit/change you'd like to see and I will make revisions as requested. There is no set number for how many revisions is "too many", this will be decided upon at my own discretion. However, the first revision is never an issue and I typically do not mind if another revision or two are required.
Above all else, please keep in mind: I am not a mind reader. While you may see the perfect commission end result in your head, I can't see that image in your head, so I am always going to go with my own gut feeling to create the commission I believe you will enjoy the most. This can only be done with the information you give me via notes. I may also make mistakes and forget small details- i.e. a snaggletooth or a spike on the tail, etc. Please do remind me if I have omitted any details and I can certainly correct any issues.
Time Estimate: I generally do not give estimates as to how long a certain part of the process will take. Generally, I can work through a commission queue within the month, but I will keep my queue updated with any setbacks or delays that may present themselves as they occur. If you need your commission in a hurry, I will do my best to accommodate, but keep in mind no one does their absolute best work when they are pressured for time. Excessive notes asking or pestering for updates will not be tolerated and may be subject to rejection of your slot.
If you have any questions or concerns at any time during the process, please send me a note or private message clearly outlining these questions and/or concerns and I will do my best to respond in a punctual manner and answer to the best of my abilities. I cannot answer questions you do not ask, so please be aware of the information you supply me so I can work on your commission to the fullest of your request.
If you are commissioning a piece that has characters owned by other people in it, please be aware: I will ONLY show the WIP sketch, and get approval from them, to ONE person- that being you, the person who commissioned the piece and is paying for it. It is your responsibility, as the commissioner, to make sure the sketch I have shown you is acceptable to the owners of the other characters featured in the commission. If I have reason to suspect the owners of the other characters do not want their characters involved in the piece, I reserve the right to personally ask them for permission. If they refuse, your commission will not be completed.
Any and all commissions where I have sent sketches but have not received a response will be considered cancelled and terminated after one (1) calendar month has passed since I have last heard from the commissioner. I reserve the rights to keep and/or re-purpose any/all artwork done before cancellation, and if the sketches have been uploaded elsewhere without payment, I will take steps to have the upload(s) in question removed.
= Approval & Payment =
I do not require, nor request, nor accept, payment, until you have expressed direct approval for the WIP sketch you have been shown. If payment is sent to me before the sketch has been approved, I will send it back and your commission may be delayed as a result.
If the sketch has been completed but you are unable to pay, your commission slot will be forfeit and I will revoke the sketch I have made for you. At my own discretion, I may reuse the sketch for a future piece to sell to another customer. Any and all likeness to your own characters in the piece will be removed. I reserve the rights to my own artwork and efforts in creating said artwork, and for any unpaid work I reserve the right to do with that work as I wish, whether it be to re-use it in pieces of another commission or put the piece up for sale.
Again, please note that once you have approved the sketch, the pose and piece in general is finalized and I will move forward with finishing it to the parameters set at the beginning of the commission. Any large details "forgotten" by the commissioner may or may not be able to be added or corrected once the sketch has been approved. For example, if your character has a large puffy tail as approved in the sketch, but afterwards you want to change it to a slim, long tail, this may or may not happen, depending on how far I am in completing the sketch. Minor corrections can be made at any point in the commission process- this can be anything from changing an eye color to adding claws on a character that the sketch did not include. These details will be decided upon my own discretion, based on how time-consuming these changes will be.
Payment is required through PayPal ONLY, and the only accepted currency is USD ($). Prices listed and given to you will always be in USD. I require payment to be sent once I have responded to your approval and will at that time give you my PayPal information to send payment to. I reserve the right to refuse any other forms of payment.
*IMPORTANT* Payment MUST be submitted through the category "Payment for Goods and Services". This is important both for me and you- for me, it ensures my taxes are filed accordingly. For you, it protects you with Paypal's Buyer Protection.
Unless you specifically ask me to confirm, I may not always confirm if/when I have received payment. However, I typically keep an update on a journal and may mark slots as paid as I am able to do so.
Please refer to the Refund section in regards to what will happen if payment has been sent but a refund is requested.
== Completion of your Commission ==
Once your commission has been completed, I will send you a note to inform you. If the commission file ends up being large, I may sometimes ask you for your email address so I can send you the full-sized file. You are not obligated to give me your email address if you do not want to, however please be aware that, other than email, the only other way I have to deliver your art is through image-upload sites, which can sometimes damage the quality of the art. Sending you the file directly through email ensures the file is not compressed. I will never use your email address for any other purpose than to send you the completed commission file.
If I have made any mistakes in the final version of your commission- for instance, the ears should be black-tipped and not solid, or I have forgotten to add the character's earrings, etc, please let me know and these will be corrected. Note: This applies to mistakes I have made, which can be determined from if the information was presented to or available to me before the commission was completed. I.e. if your character's reference sheet has black-tipped ears but I do not color them correctly, that is my error and will be corrected without hesitation. If you did not request jewelry to be added at the start of the commission, then it is not my error if the character isn't wearing jewelry. Typically, small edits will not be a problem once the commission is completed. However, large edits may either result in an extra charge, or be outright refused if it would mean the majority of the piece would have to be deleted and/or remade. These changes will be determined at my own discretion, and you will always be made aware if certain changes will require significant amount of work, resulting in an extra fee.
Once you have received your completed commission, you have full rights to posting the artwork anywhere you would like, or using it for whatever purpose you like. This includes but is not limited to cropping it to use a piece for an icon, printing it on your own, uploading it to other websites, etc. The only thing you may NOT do with your finished piece is claim that it is yours or the work of someone else. I would prefer credit and a link back to my userpage, but it is not required. My stance on ownership and property of the completed artwork is this: I own the CREATION of the piece, you own the COPY of the piece. This means you have rights to the piece as it is your property- you have paid for it, after all- but you do not have ultimate rights to the content nor the creation of the piece itself. I have the right to use the completed image in my own gallery for advertising or submission purposes, but I will respect any wishes to keep it private (I must be told this beforehand). YOU, as the commissioner, are the ONLY person who may upload the finished piece of art. If others upload or use work that you have commissioned, I will take steps to have it removed.
You may make small edits to commissions I have completed for you, i.e. to add a character's name or edit the color of eyes, etc. You may not make edits to a piece that go against my ToS or what I would refuse to draw- i.e. you may not make a piece that I have made PG, into a mature piece.
== Merchandise Rights ==
You may take any piece I have drawn for you and make physical copies and/or merchandise (such as stickers, keychains, etc) of *for personal use* or for *free distribution* only. You may not take an art I have made and mass-produce it with the intention of selling them. If you would like to specifically commission a piece of art for this purpose, this must be requested and discussed before the commission process begins- this will likely change the cost of the commission, as those sales rights will be factored in to the final cost.
Conversely, I reserve the right to print copies of commissioned artwork I make *for advertising purposes* only, such as in the form of examples of my work to be shown at cons. I will not produce any merchandise of your commissioned artwork without explicit permission from you to do so.
= YCHs and Auctions =
If you have bid on a YCH or an auction of any other manner, your bid is considered serious and you MUST be willing and able to fulfill your bid amount placed within no later than one week from receiving payment information. Retracting a bid or failing to pay upon winning or receiving a YCH or art auction of any sort WILL result in you being barred from participating in future YCH/auctions. Additional terms of payment and artwork completion may be listed in the submission description should they vary from my general terms of service, and are to be followed accordingly. Failure to follow these directions may result in your forfeit of the claimed artwork.
= Artist's Rights =
I reserve the following rights, including but not limited to:
I may reject your commission request if I have reason to believe you will not follow through with the commission, i.e. if you have cancelled a commission from me in the past. I also may cancel your slot if I believe I am being subject to undue harassment or treatment during the commission process. If payment has been received at the point I decide to cancel the commission, it will be refunded and the art that has been created up to that point will return to me.
I reserve the right to cancel the commission if I believe I will not be able to finish it due to outside reasons. In this case, should I have to cancel a commission before you have paid, you will receive the progress I have made up to that point free of charge, such as a WIP sketch. You will be given permission to use the sketch, upload it, or have another artist finish it. If you have paid, you will receive the progress as well as a full refund.
I reserve the right to choose to upload, or choose NOT to upload, any commission I have completed to my own personal gallery. Unless you have specifically requested for me not to do so, I also reserve the right to use any and all art I have created in advertising purposes, both physical and digital.
I reserve the right to refuse any commission that I am uncomfortable with completing, for personal and undisclosed reasons. I am a PG artist and thus may refuse some types of adult or mature commission requests. Please do not be offended- I respect your right to request and purchase commissions you want to see, all I ask is you respect my right to not draw what I am not comfortable with drawing.
Roughly, I update my prices annually. However, the frequency- and pace- at which I change or revise my prices is subject to my own discretion. When you place a commission, the cost you will be given at the start of your commission will be honored at the end of the commission. It is because of this that I do not do holds. If I am anticipating a price change, I will inform you that your commission will need to be completed before the price change occurs, and if you are unable to pay within the time frame given, your commission slot may be forfeit and the price will no longer be valid.
When I have a queue of multiple commissioners, I reserve the right to work on pieces in any order I prefer. Typically I will work first on pieces that were ordered first, but I may end up working on another person's work while waiting on responses from other commissioners, or for other reasons I may hold at my own discretion.
= Privacy Policy =
As all of our discussion regarding your commission will be done via Notes on FA, or private messaging through Telegram or Twitter, you can be assured that our conversation, and commission, will be 100% private. I will not disclose any of your personal information to anyone, at all, ever. Our discussion will remain confidential- however, please note that if you have claimed a slot via the comments on my journals, your comment is public and can be seen by anyone. I may also use your icon/username on my journals when outlining who all has a slot claimed. If this is something you do not want to happen, you must inform me.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are commissioning me for a piece that you DO NOT WANT me to upload to my gallery, YOU MUST SAY SO. I wouldn't know, otherwise! I am happy to refrain from uploading private commissions at your request.
= Refund Policy =
As I do not ask for payment up front, the refund policy will be minor. If you choose to drop a commission before the sketch has been approved, you will be removed from the queue and, if any work has been made on your sketch, the sketch will be re-purposed at my own discretion. Any and all likeness to your own characters in the piece will be removed. If there has been no transaction before the commission is cancelled, there will be no refund. You may not cancel a commission, then return some time later to 'approve' it and pay for it. If you cancel a commission, your slot, and any artwork progress made, is forfeit and you will need to claim a slot in a new Journal opening to get a new commission.
If you have sent payment, that means I have begun work on finishing your commission. If a refund is requested after you have approved the sketch, but before I have sent you the final image, you will receive your full refund 100%. HOWEVER, please note that you may also be refused a future commission slot, at my own discretion.
If I have completed the commission and already sent the finished image to you, the commission is considered closed and completed. Therefore, NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN.
= Contact & Closing =
Again, I prefer FA Notes, Twitter DM's, or Telegram as the primary methods of communication regarding commissions. You may contact me via any of these methods, though please only use email if no other options are available:
Twitter: TiggerPup91
Telegram: TiggerPup91
Email: tigger_pup91[at]yahoo.com
These terms are subject to modification at my own discretion at any time.
FurAffinity - Downtime, My Stance, & Contact Info
Posted 9 years ago
Hey guys! So, FA is back up! Yay! Don't worry, current commissioners on the most recent "Emergency Commissions: ALL FULL!" journal- I am still working on your pieces and will send out notes as soon as I can. :)
I meant to make a journal post regarding contact info when it first came back online from the initial attack, but I waited too long and it went down again. :c My bad! In this journal, as I feel it's important regarding the growing rift between the FA community and FA itself/the FA staff, I'm going to address two things: 1: How to contact me in case the site goes down again, and 2: how I will continue to keep using FA as my main, and quite possibly only, website to do commissions on. I don't want to get too controversial or touchy on some subjects, so I will try and be as to-the-point and respectful as I can possibly be.
First off: CONTACT!
My Email Address: tigger_pup91[at]yahoo.com
(See, hackers? You didn't need to be so intrusive to get my email, you just had to ask! ;P)
My Twitter: TiggerPup91
If FA goes down and you feel the need to contact me regarding a commission or some other matter, please feel free to message me using either of these methods! If FA is still up, however, I do request that FA notes are used first. Email is just a 'back-up'. ^^'
As far as if I plan on getting profiles on any other furry/art sites, such as DeviantArt, Furry Network, Weasyl, etc... Unfortunately, no. (I do have a DA but I do not post anything to it, nor do I use it for any other purpose than to watch some artists who upload art only there.) So, basically-
I have no plans to make an account on any other Furry/Art website besides FurAffinity in the forseeable future.
As I have said before, art and commissions via FurAffinity is not my full-time job. I am lucky. I do not need income from commissions to pay bills or put food on the table. As such, my priorities lie elsewhere- and if FA is down for a while, or I need to take a break from art for a while, then I don't lose sleep over losing time+income from commissions. (I lose some sleep over a lot of silly little things, trust me! But lucky for me, making enough money through drawing furries on the internet is not one of them.)
In addition, the current 'alternatives' simply do not measure up to FA in any way, shape or form. I have had many friends, fellow artists, who have tried other websites and all report that there is such a stark difference in traffic and interest between those sites and FA that any other website pales in comparison to the response and business they can get on FA. Like it or not, this is THE website for furries to share and commission artwork. And while I understand other artists that are full-time in this job may want to move to these sites regardless, just because they need to explore all areas of possible business and traffic, I am not a full-time artist and I do not rely on commissions to pay my electric bill or be able to afford a nice dinner out with my family. Therefore just having one website, reliable or not, is all I need.
Now, some people in the community have raised the following concern/idea: The idea that, if you continue to use FA, you are in a way endorsing, supporting, or ignoring the 'actions' or 'drama' of the FA staff. Or conversely, that they will refuse to use FA ever again because they dislike how the staff is handling the site, security, personal affairs, etc. While I respect those opinions, I will say here and now, "for the record" if you will, that I disagree with them. I prefer not to discuss why I disagree- I feel like that's just digging my own grave, or allowing for a potential backlash, which I do not want to open myself up to. I will continue to use FA, without fear or anger or succumbing to either one. I may take hiatuses or breaks from time to time, but they will not be because I am "angry" with FA or am choosing to go "somewhere else". I am here to stay.
Of course, some people may disagree with me. And that's totally okay! Different opinions are what make the world go 'round! It'd be a pretty boring world indeed if everyone had the same opinion. However, if you feel strongly enough in the opposite way I do, all I ask is to be respectful of my right to have these opinions, and stay with FA. You are welcome to unwatch me or never commission me again, if these opinions motivate you to do so. I respect your opinion and your right to make such personal decisions based on your opinion.
In recent drama off-site regarding this, I heard an artist use this phrase, "FA is not the hill I prefer to die on", which I think also applies to me here. These are my opinions, but I do not feel strongly enough about them to have an all-out war or debate with others. For ME, FurAffinity is a community-based website, and furry art is an income-earning hobby/second job. If you do not feel the same way, please do not attempt to 'convince' me or 'explain the truth', or what have you. I do not anticipate something like that ending well. You are welcome to share your opinion, but this journal is not a doorstep that can be used to try and persuade any others of your beliefs. Even as I type this, I am doing my best to be careful not to 'endorse' or 'persuade' either agenda- simply stating my own stance on the matter and informing you all what I plan to do moving forward. If you plan on leaving FA, that's fine, and you can let me know here if you like. I'll certainly miss you! But I would rather this journal stay civil and respectful.
I think that's about it for now! I've addressed what I needed to- how to get in contact with me if FA is down, how I will not be moving to other sites but will instead be staying with FA, and my stance as an artist and how I do not rely on commissions to support my way of life. To the artists that DO rely on commissions, your situation is different than mine and I respect your neccesary decision, whatever it may be, in order to keep your head above water and earn the money you need to stay afloat. *salutes* Godspeed, comrade-in-arms! Draw ALL the fuzzy-butts! =P
That's about it, guys! I'll be sending out 'update' notes shortly to everyone in my commission queue regarding where I am on their spot's progress. I cannot emphasize how much I appreciate ya'll's support, patience, and understanding- and of course, dealing with my silly shenanigans!
You guys are awesome.

Emergency Commissions: ALL FULL!

(Most recent update: 6/11/16)
So today at work, my mom called me frantic and crying- our dog was throwing up and not stopping. I met her at the emergency vet hospital and a few hours later, we find she has pancreatitis. The medical bill, which was due up-front, was absolutely insane. $2400. They are keeping our dog overnight and pumping her with IVs and antibiotics and running various other tests. So far things are looking good, but I'll keep you guys posted.
Thankfully, I have a savings account that could cover the expenses. And the vast majority of that savings account is filled with what I've earned from commissions here on FA. Over the past year I've routed 100% of my earnings from commissions here to that savings account, and right now, it's really living up to the "saving" part of its name. We would not have been able to get our dog treated with that insane bill if not for that savings account. Y'hear that, all you awesome people? If not for all the commissions you've been giving me this past year, we would not have been able to afford the bill. In a way, you guys saved our baby girl. So, thank you.
Still, this does completely drain my savings account. And, like any good savings account, I need to build it back up. Who knows when the next disaster could strike, and while I consider myself very lucky to have the income in my day job sufficient enough to pay my monthly bills, if something like this happens again I'm not quite sure what we'd do. So it's time to rebuild.
tldr; surprise scary vet bill, commissions opening to try and make back the $$.
Since I am trying to take as many commissions as possible this round, I'm not putting a limited number of slots. I'll add more if more need to be added. Gonna close at ten slots. :3

If you would like a commission:
-Please comment on this journal requesting a slot! If you could, please also mention what you would like. You don't have to, however- I'll send you a note afterwards to confirm and get all the details. You can also privately note me if you prefer!
Thanks all, I look forward to getting back to work! I feel like this whole incident has knocked me clean off my feet and I haven't even realized it yet, just trying to crawl forward so that I don't stop moving forward.
Again, I can't begin to talk about how much I appreciate everyone commissioning me. It's thanks to you that terrible emergencies like these can be dealt with and still keep the clothes on my back and a roof over my head.
Ya'll are awesome.

== Update 5/10: ==
Dog is home and recovering well. :) She's on a chicken-and-rice diet for the next few days, and still is acting a bit sleepy but that's to be expected when recovering from a hospital stay. We're being very careful to monitor her activities and make sure she's getting enough sun, water, and of course hugs. ^^ Thank you again to everyone for your concern and compassion!

Ayy, here we go! :D Let's give this a shot, shall we? This commission batch is gonna be a small and quick little experiment, as in I am only taking one kind of commission for the few slots I'll be offering.
All commissions for this batch must be pieces that include one of my characters, alongside yours! ^_^ See below for all the links of my current OCs!
My Characters:
|| Alistair || Apollo || Elijah || Ellowyn || Jesiana (2) || Kodiak || Lerato (2) || Locke || Lucicano || Rakoto ||
As far as anthro/feral, here are the characters that can be anthro, feral, or both:
Both Feral & Anthro: Alistair, Apollo, Locke, Ellowyn
Feral only: Jesiana, Kodiak, Lerato, Lucciano, Rakoto
(And special Elijah is a taur. Soooo, yeah. I guess he's both and yet neither? XD)
( Gosh... I think I need more characters.... ^^' )
Also, important note: you will not pay the price of my character! However you want the final piece rendered, sketched+colored, ink, color+shaded, etc- you will only pay the cost of your character. Mine will be at no cost! ^^
You may choose whoever your character is with, and whatever they are doing together. The only restriction I have in place is that I will ONLY do SFW. Romantic scenes are fine, but it must be SFW. I don't think I'll need to reject any other ideas, and I certainly don't plan to, but please allow me the right to refuse any that I am uncomfortable with in regards to my own characters' personality.
Aaand that's about it, so let's open up these slots! :3 I'm opening up five, but if not all five are filled by the end of the week I'll just close it and move on to the next commission batch.

If you would like a slot, please comment below with these specifications:
Your character- (including ref sheet)
My character- (just their name is fine)
What they will be doing- (SFW only!)
How it will be rendered- (i.e. sketch, ink, color, shading, etc)
Any other details- (i.e. their ages, any props, expressions, etc)
Once I have you down for a slot, I will message you with more details and we can get this started. ^^
Thanks again, guys! I'm super excited for this and absolutely can't wait! :D

Update + Thoughts on Next Commission Batch, Feedback Please!
Posted 9 years agoHi guys!
So, I'm reaching the end of my current commission queue! (For direct updates, refer to this journal, which is featured at this time.) So of course, what to think about next besides the next commission opening? :3
I had a thought that I think I would really enjoy, so I wanted to get ya'll's feedback/ideas on this!
Would anyone be interested in a special round of commissions in which people can commission art with their characters alongside my own OCs? The commissioner would NOT be paying for my character, but would only be paying the cost of one character and instead get a two-character piece, with the second character being one of my OCs. :D
For reference (and I'd repost this on the opening journal, if this becomes a thing), here are my OCs:
My Characters:
|| Alistair || Apollo || Elijah || Ellowyn || Jesiana (2) || Kodiak || Lerato (2) || Locke || Lucicano || Rakoto ||
And I could do either busts or full bodies, chibis, sketches, with/without color or shading, ink, flat color, etc! Whatever you pay for of your character, will be how my character- of your choosing, of course!- is rendered. The ONLY thing I would restrict is that all scenarios must be SFW. But everything else would be a-okay!
Would your character be competing against one of mine? Working together? Just hanging out and chillin', or having some fun? That'd be up to you! :3
Anyways, let me know what you guys think of this! It'd be a great chance for me to have fun with my OCs for a change, while also getting to draw your characters! Not sure how many slots I'd open for, or how long it'd be open, etc, I'd love to hear your feedback. ^^
Thanks all!

Commissions OPEN! Please read details!

Tigger's 2015 Price Guide
--
Hey guys! That's right- Commissions are now open!
HOWEVER. I am going to try something ~different~ this time.
Unlike almost all commission openings I've done in the past, I am going to do a test run of something I've seen many other artists do- something I've even asked you guys if you'd be okay with in the past. I'm finally giving it a shot- and if you don't care for it or prefer the 'first-come-first-serve guaranteed slot' method, please comment on this and I promise I will take everyone's opinion into consideration. With that said-
*** This opening will NOT be first-come-first serve, but rather Artist's Choice. ***
This means that I will have the journal open for a set amount of days, and once those days are up I will close and then I will pick which commissions I want to take, out of those who have inquired about a commission. I am choosing to do this for a number of different reasons: first, it's something I've seen lots of artists do in the past, and I've been able to witness the negative and positive effects of this. Overall, the positive effects are great for the artists, and the only negative ones are those who apply early but aren't chosen, and those effects may be hurt feelings, or feeling they were robbed of a guaranteed slot for commenting early. I understand these concerns, but after asking most of you guys- and watching these take place across many different artists' watchers, I've found that, on the whole, you guys are very understanding about this. That's why I'd like to take a chance and try this with ya'll, I feel like you guys would really understand the benefits that an artist's choice commission round would give me, and not be upset or take it personally if I don't choose your slot.
tldr; this is a test run of a round of commissions in which I will pick which commissions I take, instead of it being first-come first-serve.
Again, if you prefer first-come first-serve opposed to this, that is totally A-okay. All I ask is to please respect my choice to make this batch a test-run, and I promise I will respect your dissenting opinion and listen to what you have to say. In fact, if you do disagree, please feel free to post or say so in your commission request! I will gauge the response from all my watchers and will be able to use that information to determine if this is something that I could/should do again, or something that I should avoid in the future. Conversely, if this is something you prefer or wouldn't mind seeing, I'd love to hear that, too!
I will be out-of-town this weekend, so I will be accepting commission requests until Sunday, April 3rd at 12PM/Noon Central Time.
If you would like to apply for a commission, please use this SUPER-simple form below:
Type of commission requested: ____________
Character(s) featured for commission: ____________
Please note you may apply for a maximum of three different slots at once, but I will accept no more than one per person. Once commissions close, I will post with the slots I've chosen and message those who will be receiving commissions. I plan on taking anywhere from five to ten slots, depending on the response I get from you guys. I will reply to your commission request comment to acknowledge that it has been received, and answer any questions as best I can. When they close, I will make a new journal posting the slots I have chosen to go for. Please understand that sometimes, real life happen and some people may need to back out of commissions. This happens and it's okay- so if someone I'd chosen has to back out, I will most likely go back to this journal and pick someone new to take their place.
Long journal has been long, and I apologize for that and thank you all for being so patient and understanding with me, as well as all the support you've given me over the past few years that now makes me finally feel comfortable enough to try this out. <3 This is NOT something that I will do for all batches from now on, of course not! Just a trial run to see how something like this would go (sort of how my experimental commission journal went!). The next batch will surely be first-come first-serve, and hopefully will be opening at some point in mid-late April. And finally, you can refer to the first link at the very top of this journal for the prices and the types of commissions I offer.
Thanks guys! Ya'll rock! <3

TFF Recap + Welcome New Watchers + Commission Update!!
Posted 9 years agoHi everyone!
Wow, feels like forever since I've been able to talk to you guys. Almost half a year! For those of you new here from watching me after TFF, welcome and thanks so much for the watch! <3 To fill in the time gap of the past six months, I recently moved in to a new apartment after receiving a job promotion at work and have been slowly but surely adjusting to the new lifestyle of being an independent adult. It's been all good things, and even though I'm tired coming home from work after double overtime, it's comforting to know that I have a good, steady job and a sizable income to pay off bills and be comfortably supporting myself in my apartment.
SO TFF WAS A THING. IT WAS A GLORIOUS THING WOW. I had so much fun, and I'm gonna try and shoutout to all the awesome people who I got to hang out with while I was there, I'm so sorry if I missed you!

And gosh so many more people, it was so awesome and I had an unbelievably great time! ;_; Getting to meet (some for the first time!) a lot of you guys in person, smile and laugh and exchange stories, talk about art and talking animals, or just saying hi and giving a smile... gah, it's the greatest thing ever. Seriously, even if you just said hi to me, you helped make my con incredible. And to those that kept coming by to see how I was doing, share a laugh with me as I was stuck behind a table slaving away on badges (SUPER fun getting to draw everyone's characters, too!), you guys were just awesome. And lastly, to those of you who commissioned a badge from me, thank you. It's always an honor being paid to take care of your important characters and give them a unique spin on capturing who they are.
So with that all said! Time to hit the last item on the agenda: COMMISSIONS!
The response I got from the con regarding my commissions was overwhelming, I was so humbled and floored to see so many people inquiring about future commissions! And trust me, I'm more than excited to open up and get back into the swing of things! I have a few pieces of art I have doodled over the past few months that I will try and upload to tide ya'll over for a bit, and very soon I hope to officially open back up again! I will continue using last year's prices until I'm able to scrounge up a new price sheet, and whenever I do plan on releasing a new one, rest assured you guys will get plenty of notice and another opportunity for commissions at the previous price before any changes.
I think that about covers it! TFF was awesome, welcome and thanks to all new watchers, and commissions shall be coming soon!
Ya'll are awesome! <3

Update
Posted 10 years agoHi all,
Surprise, I'm not dead! I wish I could bring my usual eagerness and excitement to this journal as I do before, or at least with a bit of optimism, but I don't think I can right now. There have been a lot of things going rough for me right now, and I'm finding not only less time to work on commissions, but less motivation and enjoyment in drawing in general. Doesn't help that I'm also experience technological issues in regards to my tablet and software, so the times that I CAN work, half the time it ends up crashing or I end up losing progress. It's really frustrating and these past few weeks I've done a lot of thinking while at work on what I want to do in regards to FA and commissions.
Before that, however, I should put this up:
People I Owe Art To:
RarySnowlion Inking - PAID
Rayner01091 Sketching
Vancity Sketching
Musicmadman Sketched
If your username is not on here but I am supposed to be doing art for you from a pre-arranged commission, please let me know! I've had many people also note me privately asking if I'm open for commissions, and I just... I've been feeling very miserable and stressed and I apologize for not getting back to you, but right now the notes section of FA has me anxious and I can't seem to bring myself to send any notes. I guess I just don't think I'll be able to say the right thing right now... For those in the current list, whenever I am ready with a completed stage of your commission, or am ready for you to send payment, I will let you know. The last thing I want is to sit on your money and not be able to be sure that I can finish your commission in a timely manner (which has already happened in one case, as much as I hate to admit it, and it's something I want to make sure never happens again).
Anyways, I'm closed right now and I don't know when I will open next. Probably not for quite a while. I apologize... I wish I could do more art for people, and it still honors me a lot that there are people out there who actively seek out and would pay for my art. Unfortunately, art is not my full-time job. I watch a lot of artists who upload like crazy and I wish I could do that, but most of those artists do art for a living, the money they receive from commissions pays for their rent or groceries, etc. I, however, have a full-time job that already pays that- art has just been a sort of hobby on the side that I also get paid for. And I feel as if it's gotten to the point, in the past few months, that I spend way too much time and effort on it even though it's just meant to be a hobby. So I'm going to have to end up changing that, probably.
My real life job has been very crazy as of late. Don't get me wrong, it's all very good things- we just recently had a brand-new customer send us so many more new jobs that our CEO is creating a brand-new division in the office to handle them... and he put me in charge (temporarily, but still) of getting it all set up and managing it until we've got it under control. I've been working extra hours, with new co-workers to come, and when I come home exhausted from a big, important day of work and sit down at my computer, only to be reminded of commissions, of artwork that I "have" to take care of... it feels like a second job on its own when art was never meant to be that.
I didn't mean for this journal to be this long, so I'll stop it here.
tldr; commissions are closed until further notice; those I have accepted prior to this I will continue to work on and finish as quickly as I possibly can, but I cannot guarantee a completion date. I am so sorry for any lack of communication and for not being able to make art for those of you who enjoy my drawings. Regardless, thank you all so much for your patience and understanding, and I appreciate each and every one of you. I hope to be able to get back to art soon... but if/when I do, it will probably focus much less on commission work and more so on unpaid, personal art I want to do for fun.
Again, thank you to everyone who continues to watch, favorite, and comment on my art, even in times like these when I'm really not deserving of it.
You all are amazing.

Commissions closed- art block. :(
Posted 10 years ago
Hey all!
I hate to close my commissions when not all my slots are filled, but right now I think it's actually for the best. I've been feeling a bit burned out on art lately and finding it really hard to get started or finish some pieces... art block is hitting me hard right now. D: I'm wondering if all my anxiety/excitement at the upcoming move is partially to blame or not, as I've started packing this week, downsizing and I'm almost always preoccupied with thinking about the move.
However- if you secured a spot on my commission list, not to worry! You still have a slot and I will still complete your commission. :) I just don't want to take any more when it's going to be enough of a struggle to finish what I already have.
With that said:
-- Current Commission List --
Custom #1:
Kuwa Progress: FINISHED!
Custom #2:
RayRay_Silverfur Progress: Sketching
Custom #3: -- Taken By User Not On FA -- Progress: Sketching
Experimental #1: (PAID)
RarySnowlion Progress: FINISHED!
Experimental #2:
IornStone77 Progress: Finishing
I'm going to keep working on these as best I can, but as I said I'm probably just way too excited about the upcoming move to really get into arts at the moment. And I may just be burning myself out by doing so many arts as of late. Either way I'm going to try and cut it down a bit so I don't overwork or stress myself out. I always have and always will keep you guys as a big priority, and I will keep working on arts for ya'll to enjoy as much as I can. :)
Thanks again, everyone! Ya'll are awesome. <3

Commissions: OPEN! <3 5/8 Slots Taken
Posted 10 years ago
Update 7/11: Massive art block. I'm working on it, guys, I promise. ;w;
~~~~~~~~
It's that time again! :D Commissions are now back open again~ Let's get this party started!
Commission prices and info can be found here:
Tigger's 2015 Commission Price Guide
I am opening for five custom commissions and three experimental commissions!
"Custom" commission means you can request a specific type of commission, be it a reference sheet, badge, chibi, etc, with specific character(s) and a desired pose/expression/etc of your choosing. Price is determined by how the final piece is priced on the price guide linked above, and payment is only required once a sketch has been approved.
"Experimental" commission means I get artistic liberty and can choose who and what to draw! See here for more info. Price is $15 flat, and must be paid up front! I must be allowed to choose between at least two or more characters to draw.
Experimental #3: -- OPEN --
If you would like a commission slot:
Please either comment on this journal or send me a note saying you would like a commission! :D Please include the following information as well:
-Whether this will be a custom or experimental commission
-The character(s) you'd like in the piece and if they have a reference sheet or other art to use for reference
-If it's a custom, what you are looking for/wanting, in as much detail as possible!
Please note that payment for experimental commissions are paid up front, while custom commissions do not require payment until after I've sent you a sketch you are satisfied with. I do not send WIP/progress sketches for experimental commissions.
There we go! I think I got all my copy+pasta in a row. ;P (I'm finding more and more what "works" to make for an efficient and put-together journal, what I'm missing at times and what I've used before that doesn't need to be reiterated. Hopefully they're looking a bit more professional, and I'll get journal updates that are both cohesive and not overly stuffed with information. :)
Like always, if you ever have any questions, recommendations, or even critique of how I do things or suggestions on ways I can improve, please do not hesitate to send me a note and let me know! ^^ I love hearing from new people, making friends and learning all I can on ways I can get better in what I do here on FA, in both art and business. I don't bite, promise! xP
Thanks, all! Ya'll are awesome! <3
