Extended Hiatus
Posted 13 years agoI've hit a point in finances that I am unable to keep the internet up and running. So for the time being, I have very limited access {normally on my smart phone}, and don't expect many art updates. Still will pop in to comment, favorite and browse through FA from time to time.

Funeral and Hiatus
Posted 13 years agoAs everyone can see I've really been inactive in the art department. I've hit a major art block, I can only make a brief sketch yet can't bring myself to finalize it. I still have a list of art I still owe from trades, gifts and prizes. So consider this being officially on art block hiatus. Will still be on to comment, fave and respond -but I need to figure out what direction my art is going.
Also, from May 25 to the 31, I will be in Louisiana and then Mississippi for a funeral. So my activity might trickle down during that time.

Disillusioned...
Posted 13 years agoFeeling really disillusioned about my art right now, and I've been doing so much more recently too. I feel like I am improving, that my ideas are expanding and enjoy doing art for others. Yet recently, at the end of the day I come on to my art sites, just to see no new comments, views or favorites. Just at times I'd love to see a reflection that I am moving in the right direction, and yet I don't see it other then from my close friends. These cheer me up, but make me wonder why I'm trying to shout in the dark.

Posted 14 years agoYes, I am wishing everyone -no matter their practice- a safe and fun holiday this year! Enjoy yourselves, your family, your friends and whatever type of cold weather you may be enduring! For those of you who get snow, I call 'lucky!' Posted 14 years agoYeah, I was really out of it and had a hard time focusing on all sorts of things. Which lead to no proper free art livestream D: Those are quite fun by the way :3
Anyways, the expression Twilight Sparkle gave at the end of the latest episode. So I had to screen cap it, make a base off it and then use one of my pony OCs to create something awesome looking. X3 Would love some crit on it, since I left off basically where I felt tired XD

Posted 14 years agoSo basically, I finally landed a job. It isn't well paying, but for now I atleast have some income. However, this means less time for art. This is to say my art is going to be delayed even further, but I am working on it! Just wish I wasn't so sore and exhausted.

A Life Update
Posted 14 years agoSo basically, I've been going through a tough time this summer. Hitting a bottom on my depression, while floundering to try and find a job. Worst part was, I found it that I couldn't get unemployment benefits due to the place I worked at. So now I am really sinking, and just having a really hard time trying to get my confidence up to even try to get a job -or even out the door some days.
Lately, I've also had issues with not being able to sleep till I can't take it anymore and then passing out for a ridiculous amount of time. You would think you'd get atleast something done with all that time spent being awake, but I've been progressing really slowly. And I really need to get out there and deal, but its almost the point of absolutely overwhelming me.
So I've been spending a lot of time here, and elsewhere on the internet. I've been drawing and sketching, but not as much as I would have liked -or planned to over the summer much less all my free time now. I know I've made signigicant progress since I got back on FurAffinity, but I feel at a loss. I don't seem good enough for commissions, I've tried getting my name out there, but its hasn't been working and I know I need to just do more art but... I'm at a loss.
EDIT: I am so stuck on my last commission in trade for a digital pet. MLP:FIM poses can really stump me sometimes... ._.

Just a little update...
Posted 14 years agoSo I worked all during the regular school year, now the summer I am taking a few courses to work towards my degree. That means I won't be up as late, since it is a morning class but will actually be around more often.
My brother bought an Adobe Media packet of some sort, so I am also getting a chance to experiment with his Adobe Photoshop CS 5.5 and Adobe Illustrator. If I get anything worthwhile done over there, I will see about uploading it. He is also having a fun time experimenting on my drawings with his new programs, however he is more interested in animal or human art -calling furry art "Just not my thing, sis" XD So I am actually determined to do a bit more human and feral artwork, which you might see. Might as well practice all different types of drawings, I do want and need to improve. :3
Once I get more comfortable with my class schedule I might open for commissions. Gonna need to extra money as I look for another job.

Sooo, actual news about me + Furcadia
Posted 14 years agoI just got official word that I am not being hired next year. So this means I will have a paycheck coming in till July 30th, and then my insurance will disapeer with it. So, right now I'm trying to figure out what I am going to do. Not only that, but the company my husband was working for screwed him over and the one he is working for now is really messing with him on when they are gonna pay him. So needless to say, last night was not fun for me.
So over the summer, you guys might see me selling art, characters and adoptables. I hope you guys show an interest, till I am able to find another job ^-^;
EDIT: So one of my friends posted a journal about Furcadia. So I just could help but join up again. Mostly just ask about a name, and see about just spending some time chatting. Cause I get bored, and I know boredom will pursue without my job XD

TeleKi Adoptable
Posted 14 years agoTeleKin are a species I created myself, though they do have some obvious influences from creations like Pokemon, Neopets, and some cute anime animals. X3 Their species as a whole isn't fully fleshed out, thus their are gaps in information. Details subject to change. TeleKi is singular form of the species, TeleKin is the plural form.
Just a few notes:
They have Tri-Ears, that are highly flexible and can spread to almost fan-like proportions around the head. Each section of the Tri-Ear can move individually. They have excellent hearing and depend on this sense above all others.
Their tail is very ribbon-like, though it is quite strong and flexible. A TeleKi has very strong muscles in the tail, and can bend it in almost any imaginable position. They are prehensile, and can support their own weight.
They use their 'headgear' mostly for protection, as they are quiet peaceful herbivores. Those in the wild travel in small herds, with the dominant females leading. However, they are no larger then a domestic cat. Both Male and Female TekeKin have horns, and do not vary in size or shape due to gender. There is no discernible difference between the two. Those without 'headgear' are quite uncommon, and find protection from others who can help defend them. Thus they make excellent pets and more common in the domestic variety. They like to put objects on their head, since it feels bare. Current 'headgear' {horns/antlers} includes: Bighorn Sheep, Pronghorn, Four-Horned Antelope, White Tailed Deer, and Addax.
TeleKin are most known for their cute chirping sounds, that can only be related to "Ki". Though their vocal range is extensive, this seems to be their primary vocabulary base.
For those of my friends on CS, I actually already have an adoptable thread going on there. I've already gone through my grand opening with some sucess. I hope to work on another line set for baby TeleKi and perhaps even do customs.

Just a few notes:
They have Tri-Ears, that are highly flexible and can spread to almost fan-like proportions around the head. Each section of the Tri-Ear can move individually. They have excellent hearing and depend on this sense above all others.

I should try to get some sleep.
However, I finally started making some progress on getting some commissions done and some progress on some art I am planning to surprise a few people with. :3 Hopefully atleast X3
