General | Posted 7 years agoAbsolutely my best AC ever! YES that was me in Roger Rabbit. It was AMAZING just BEING Roger Rabbit. I had so many photos taken! Will post pix this Summer.
And so happy to finally get Greifer ver 2 out for his grand debut after all these years.
I had so many people say to Greifer… "I have always wanted to meet you" "You got me into furry" "You were the first furry I found on youtube" ….
It really means a lot to me that he has made such a lasting impression.
Here is a video I made about Greifer 2 years ago in case you missed it.
https://youtu.be/IPMRpty_At8
Greifer you are STILL THE ONE!
Will do a full con report video at the end of the year.

General | Posted 7 years ago....was a real whirlwind of emotions. With the 30th anniversary of Who Framed Roger Rabbit and the 30 year anniversary of me being a furry. And Greifer ver 2.
Thank you everyone for your comments and faves and likes etc.
I wanted Greifer ver 2 to have the same "birthday" as RR. (June 22)
Sat June 23 I put on RR and looked in the mirror for the first time. Damn near had a mental meltdown.
Monday I watched the movie for the first time in over a decade. it was 1988 all over again.
WOW what a ride it has been.
And the ride ain't over yet.

Some Roger Rabbit art
General | Posted 7 years agoHe turns 30 years old this Friday so here is some Roger Rabbit art that I have some connection with.
One night I was bored and did a search for "Roger Rabbit" and found this:
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/8262869/
I thought , OOOH who IS this duck? (Duino Duck) Did somebody say PIES?
...And a great friendship began.
Years later I had this commissioned: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11591996/
Gale_Frostbane had this commissioned of all of us.... http://www.furaffinity.net/view/13555942/
Surprise gift art from
Lunara-Toons http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10949603/
And most recently this amazing gift from
whobie http://www.furaffinity.net/view/27623139/
And I just have to include this because....reasons. (semi-NSFW) http://www.furaffinity.net/full/904872/
It is so slightly suggestive but not really, naughty in a way but also innocent and tasteful but not x rated...you know.
One more thing... this outfit I made 2 years ago for a video idea I had. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/23924284/
You will see it in action this Friday.

Yogi's Picnic
General | Posted 7 years agoFound this on YouTube....
https://youtu.be/vH-21TyuLdU
Yogi's Picnic ...Live costume character show at Canada's Wonderland 1982
I love little cheezy theme park shows like this. Those costume characters probably made $4/an hour then. The ranger probably made $6/hour.
How many of you sat in the audience of a show like this as a kid and squealed with delight at the sight of life sized dancing cartoon characters?
How many of you as teenagers watched from the back row, and secretly wished you WERE one of the life sized cartoon characters???
I saw this at a local mall back in 1990. I think I stayed and watched it twice.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hF7EZEpxogI
I watched all those characters dancing around and OOOOH I wanted a job like that so bad!
I could not take my eyes of that cute pup Scooby Doo costume.
Even watching it again for the first time in 28 years I am sitting at my computer all shufflepaws.
Do YOU have any shows like these you remember seeing and it had an effect on you?

"How I Joined the Furry Fandom" reupload
General | Posted 7 years agoWith my 30 year anniversary of being a furry approaching,
(June 23, 1988, the day I saw "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" in theatres)
I thought I would reupload the story of "How I joined the furry fandom" .
The video is from 5 or 6 years ago, (?)
The audio was MUTED by youtube because of the music, but I never received notification of this.
Then I went back to correct the problem, and there was no reason given for the audio being muted.
So now I was really confused.
I reuploaded it a week ago and all is good so here it is if you have not seen it before.

Snagglepuss and the van
General | Posted 7 years agoIt is Memorial Day weekend so this marks one year I have had my conversion van.
It is a 1993 Dodge B250. I searched for the right van for years.
I wanted a Dodge. 1993 ONLY. That was the last year of the classic styling and the first year of fuel injection.
And NOT a high top so I could park in parking garages.
Did not need it MINT condition, yet did not want one that was trashed.
It was also around the same time I was really making progress with my Snagglepuss fursuit.
I was juggling both projects last May and June, So I decided to give the van a slight Snagglepuss theme.
Pink blanket on the back seat, black and white throw pillows and pink paw print throw rugs like this:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Absorbent-.....8DjhLIf6qgA9EQ
Over the next few weeks I will be posting lots of pix of Snag and the van to commemorate the occasion!
Heavens to Murgatroid and all that jazz!

I was furry when furry wasn't cool
General | Posted 7 years agoToday is May 22, 2018. We are one month away from the 30th anniversary of Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
The movie changed my life when I saw it on June 23, 1988.
It was probably 30 years ago we were starting to see TV commercials, merchandise, fast food tie-ins, etc .
https://youtu.be/OBgok3TfOCg
(I have sooo many of those McDonald's cups)
This 17 year old was quite excited for this landmark movie, and little did I know then how much it would effect me.
I have been reflecting lot about the last 30 years, and I will be posting a lot of Roger Rabbit related things here on FA in the coming weeks.
I love this song because I can really relate to the lyrics.
I took a lot of kiddin' 'cause I never did fit in....
Now look at everybody tryin' to be what I was then.
I was furry. When furry wasn't cool.

I hate myself for oven you
General | Posted 7 years agoIt was just about 5 years ago I was making preparations to go to FCN to show off my new video, "I Hate Myself For Oven You"
https://youtu.be/rSKAxsdFarI
Definitely the wackiest silliest most PAINFUL video I have ever made. Like a live action Tom and Jerry cartoon.
Thanks to
Scurrow and
Kellogg for helping me with this.
I think it was because of this video me and Scurrow became really good friends.
Thanks to EVERYONE who helps with my videos.
I definitely want to make more videos like this, and it looks like I will be able to film this Greifer unboxing video next month. I have had the idea for several years. It will be an unboxing video unlike any other.
And I would love to do more raunchy adult humor, but not real dirty, like Benny Hill/Monty Python/SNL
In honor of April Fool's Day, I have a new video out, "Head Over Heels"
https://youtu.be/HUfqx39nuco
Because I love putting on a fursuit and acting like a fool.
I am a toon. It's what I do.

The fursuit photo of the year
General | Posted 8 years agoEvery year, I like to give recognition to a fursuiter, or a photo or video that stands out from all the rest.
This year I have chosen a photo that is just a simple snapshot, but it says so much.
I found it while looking on the Anthrocon Flickr group this past Summer.
It shows a fursuiter giving a high 5 to a passing motorist on the streets of Pittsburgh at AC.
AC is the only con that I know of where you can do that.
That is my favorite thing about AC , the level of interaction with the locals.
They line the streets to watch our parade.
They let us hug their kids.
They take selfies with us.
They invite us to sit next to them at the bar.
10 years ago the public saw us as weirdos. Now they flock downtown to be next to us.
And no other con and no other city has that relationship like AC and Pittsburgh.
This photo really captures the vibe of both AC and Pittsburgh.
When I look at the photo, it makes me count down the days so that I can be THAT fursuiter.
The one that has a very positive and memorable interaction with the locals.
Congratulations (photographer) Randorn Canis and (fursuiter) Hyshaji Nightdragon

1987: Early Furry Tendencies
General | Posted 8 years ago30 years ago, in 1987, I was 16. And I transformation was taking place.
I started to take a strong interest in animated cartoons and cartoon animals.
Not sexually, but I wanted to watch them, I wanted to be with them. I wanted to BE one.
I already had an interest in the Catillac cats. A segment on "Heathcliff", These totally rad cats had a rockin' theme song and they lived in a junkyard!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nMz24za4zzo
I watched them everyday after school.
And the Gummi Bears.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=97QkO7nAn68
And most definitely , Chester Cheetah... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7zMnqWsffbw
This cool dude lost his cool when he saw his favorite snack often with over the top slapstick comedy results.
It is why Wilson T. Longtail is inspired by him.
But in 1987 my furry tendencies intensified with this show:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kZM2K5HloQA
Karate Kat was an obscure show and a segment on "the Comic Strip" (syndicated) . I got up at 7am on Saturdays just to watch him. I think I wanted to kiss him???
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SuDSDtgEoAU
The theme song still resonates in my head, even tho the volume was down low so no one would know I was watching cartoons.
And OOOOHHH his floofy hair and the way he kicks his paw into the camera! *Swoon*
I think KK and CC were my earliest furry crushes.
And My Pet Monster..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3WPXzLDX8g
A cartoon about a plush that comes to life. This really did something to me. I love the way they hug at the end.
The highlight of my Saturday mornings was The Bugs Bunny and Tweety show....
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=veaDEdVZryA
Those toons dancing in tuxedos with no pants and their big paws,,, followed by 1 hour of the classics.
I was a confused young man with these attractions to cartoon animals.
So YES it was right around 30 years ago I became a FURRY. But things REALLY took off in 1988 with a Rabbit named Roger. But that is a story for another time.

Greifer is back
General | Posted 8 years agoGreifer version 2 is done. A 3 year long project has been finished and I am quite pleased with him.
He kept getting put on the back burner due to many other projects. Most recently woodpeckers and pink gay mountain lions.
I have been thinking about Greifer a lot recently.
And I look forward to introducing him to a lot of newer furries whom may have never heard of him before.
Version 1 was NO DOUBT the most durable fursuit ever made. And remember that year he made it to #2 in the FFFF?
He has been an important part of my life and he has done some groundbreaking things. A number of furries have told me they found the fandom thru Greifer videos. He has done amazing things for me as well.
I will make an epic unboxing video this winter.
Here is the famous video that made him a household name:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uccZjuov2EQ
And 10 years of Greifer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPMRpty_At8
I am looking forward to many years of travel adventures and outrageous antics with that famous fox.
Greifer, tonight this song goes out to you.

Youtube WIN! (The Detention Club)
General | Posted 8 years agoIn a follow up to this post:
http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/7727497/
I tried to upload it AGAIN and.... BLOCKED AGAIN!
EAT. MY. SHORTS.
But this time it was for the 90 second clip in the beginning when the students are arriving at school.
Even though it is NOT the original audio and one scene in there is cropped.
I filed a dispute claiming fair use and...... I WON! Universal pictures released their copyright claim!
I got a response in just a few hours but I really wonder how this works.
Did YouTube REALLY call up Universal Pictures legal dept and explain what was I was doing and they said "Oh sure go ahead! We don't care!" ??????
So sometimes you CAN fight City Hall.
HOWEVER I will not release The Detention Club until late Summer as I might show it at AC because 2018 will be the 5 year anniversary.
WOW 5 years.

Thanks again to everyone to helped out with those and sent in letters. I might do this again someday.
Next I will release all my older con report videos and random videos in case you are ever really bored and have nothing better to watch.
I want to film some new videos this winter for a 2018 release.
