General | Posted 8 years agoToday is the first day of SHEPTEMBER! Be sure to send best wishes to your favorite Yerman Yepherd.
To those I watch on FA... Thank you.
General | Posted 8 years agoEven tho I am not on twitter, I DO read twitter sometimes if I am bored at work.
With all the events of this week, some people's twitters have been a never ending SHITSTORM of DRAMA, POLITICS, ANGER and BUTTHURT IN THE 3RD DEGREE ABOUT SOMETHING THAT SOMEONE SAID ABOUT SOMETHING.
But NOT here on FA!
I have seen ABSOLUTELY ZERO talk of recent events!
So thank you for keeping my daily visit(s) to FA 100% FREE of STUPID TWITTER CURRENT EVENTS DRAMA CRAP.
I am now more happy than ever that I am not on twitter.
Lets keep good old FA the place you go for furry creativity and artistry AND NOTHING ELSE.
And lets Keep it going ! Show me something FURRY that you really like! ANYTHING!
I will start it off... I think this is one of my favorite fursuit videos of all time: "Foxes Know Your Limits"

Final road trip with the jeep
General | Posted 8 years agoThis trip to AC will most likely be the final road trip with the famous yellow Jeep.
I have bought a conversion van for my road trips.
http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b.....ps58bxqsaz.jpg
That jeep will hit 440,000 miles on the way home. (It had 162,xxx when I bought it)
I have travelled WELL over 50,000 miles to cons over the past 12 years.
A lot of you have ridden in it or seen it in hotel parking lots.
It has made lots of appearances in my videos.
It will still be my daily driver.
Here is a video I made a few years ago to celebrate 400,000 miles, now on youtube!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ykv-1yCliGU
Thanks for all the adventures, Jeep!

team name?
General | Posted 8 years agoThe theme for AC is "Take me out to the ball game"
I am making a custom baseball uniform for Wilson.
But, what should the team name be?
Best one I thought of so far is The PIECATS.
Any ideas?

Universal Studios Florida... my first shift.
General | Posted 8 years agoI think it was 25 years ago today that I worked my first shift as a character at Universal Studios.
A little back story.....I had auditioned for Universal AND Disney a few times but never made the cut.
There was an audition for Universal Studios Characters in Late April or Early May 1992.
That night I was so sick. I almost didnt go but I really wanted to go to this audition!
At the end of the audition the man there said "If we call your name please come back Wed night at 7:30 pm for a call back audition."
There were over 100 people there. He read a list of about 15 or 20 names and the last one was mine! (Yeah I was the bottom of the barrel)
I came back for the call back audition and did some things, some animation / mime "exercizes" and that was that.
The next morning my phone rings at 8:30 am. Who the HELL is calling me this early ???? I let the machine get it.
*BEEP* This is Pat Brady at Universal Studios Entertainment.....bla bla bla......
I sprung up! WHY IS HE CALLING MEEEEE??????
I called back 2 minutes later and went in for an interview that afternoon.
I GOT THE JOB! $5.65/HR!
So, my first shift was 25 years ago today. A 4 hour special event. Some early morning meet and greet as Woody for some special tour group.
Tony G was my Winnie Woodpecker.
I was so nervous and so excited. For years whenever I saw a character or mascot on TV I thought to my self "OOOOH I want to do that SOOO bad!" And here I was !
The appearnce was on the other side of the park so we got dressed up and rode a pargo over.
Woody has a tall head so I had to ride on the back with my head pointed down.
All I could see was my woodpecker feet withthe pavement passing underneath.
When we arrived I had no idea where we were.
I got up and there was 200 people infront of me. Time froze for 2 seconds. The moment had arrived.
They all rushed toward me.
I immediately did my thing and felt very comfortable after 5 minutes.
.....I think I found my dream job.

How I Saved Woody Woodpecker
General | Posted 8 years agoUniversal Studios Training day
General | Posted 8 years agoIt was 25 years ago today I had my first training day to be a costume character at Universal Studios Florida.
I go to try on all the costumes. Woody Woodpecker, Yogi Bear, Scooby Doo and George Jetson.
I remember watching all of this in the mirror and I could not believe it was really happening!
This was the main reason I moved from PA to Florida, to get a job as a theme park character.
I was a furry since 1987, and there really was no furry fandom then, (well, not like it is now)
So if you wanted to wear a big animal costume you had to get a job as a character in a theme park.
I used to watch those Disney parades on TV and think "OOOOH I wanna wear one of those costumes soooo bad!"
And here I was finally putting one on, FOUR different ones! Including 2 of my favorites, Scooby and Woody.
You know that feeling the first time you put on a fursuit and looked in the mirror?
That was me, 25 years ago on this date.

Zootopia
General | Posted 9 years ago...was released Mar 4 , 1 year ago today.
What did the movie do to you? Who was your favorite character?
Did it really recruit furries like we thought it would? Have you heard any young furs say the movie converted them?
Gosh, how many Nick Wilde fursuits are there now?
I saw it twice at the drive in. I do not own it on DVD yet. I really should watch it again.
I actually like Judy more than I like Nick. She is so ambitious and courageous. Even when the odds were against her.
I do get a bit choked up when Nick gets his badge because I seriously considered becoming a cop about 15 years ago.
But I decided to be a fox instead HAHA.
I still think Gideon Grey is based off Greifer and
duino . We should be getting royalties!

https://www.facebook.com/tim.tierne.....06711310176139
Thats all I know.
Spike was a rainbow tiger and also a pink pony. He had some club on second life called the rainbow tiger.
I think he also went by Spike Nico
In real life he had spikey orange hair when I first met him (FWA 2005)
I always loved his Scion with the sexy tiger on it.

I think it had been a few years since I saw him, but I have this photo with him in it.
I took this photo of Greypaws at FWA 2005. It is the 7th photo I ever took at a furcon.
http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b.....ps1eqwwpnk.jpg
It wasn't until years later I noticed Spike in the background and thought "Hey I know him! We are friends now!"
When I took the photo I knew NO ONE.

Fursuit video of the year
General | Posted 9 years agoEvery year I like to give recognition to a fursuiter that has done amazing things, OR a fursuit video that is better than all the rest .
It is not necessarily even MY favorite video , but one that has a very positive representation of furry and shows the creativity and talent that all of us have deep inside.
This year I have chosen one that features 4 very talented fursuiters.
The video is very sweet and simple. There are no special effects or fancy editing.
But it came out great and most of all, it is different. I watch it and think to myself, "WOW, I have never seen something like that before!"
Congratulations, Nbowa, Arcturus, Stargel, and Piroshki. aka The Furrhythmics.
I have chosen "For the Longest Time" as the fursuit video of the year !

General | Posted 9 years agoWalt Disney died on this day 50 years ago. Dec 15, 1966.

I think that every furry on this planet is what they are today because of something that Walt Disney did.
