Posted 7 years agoI don't even know if any of my watchers here are really active or interested in my work anymore.
I've been inactive on here for a long time as I began to focus more on other platforms and my own projects.
As such, I've decided I'm going to lay this account to rest. I may have met some good friends here, but I'm in contact with all of them on other platforms anyway and I think it's time to leave.
This is a goodbye from the furry community as a whole, as well.
I'm not a political person, never have been. And these days, the furry fandom is so political that I literally can't escape it. People that I didn't even know existed are blocking me left and right because of some people deciding to label me as something I'm not. Alt-furry, to be precise. I've never liked the label or ideology of it, never involved myself with its communities, and yet I still get labeled as one for some odd reason. Maybe just because I'm not openly political? Who knows.
This is too much. The furry fandom is not a fun place anymore with everyone at each other's throats, and all this frankly vile behavior. All I wanted to do was draw in peace. I miss when it was just about cartoon animals and other silly fun stuff.
Honestly, I'm done with this, and I'm heading out. If you're one of the few watchers I have who still even looks at my stuff and you want to keep following me, I'm Timbernator on DeviantART.

So this person's cat is pregnant, but there's a bit of an issue with the pregnancy and the cat is going to require a c-section, which the cat's life (as well as those of whatever offspring remaining in the womb right now) depend on. Please try to donate, and even if you can't, at least spread it around. A lot of money is needed, so the more attention this gets, the better. Thank you!

I'm illustrating a book- but we need your help!

So a friend of mine has been writing a morbid/dark humor storybook, and I'm the illustrator of choice. However, in order for me to complete the illustrations, we're going to need some funding so I can be adequately paid for my work.
It's a storybook that follows 26 kids doing things the shouldn't be doing, and then suffering some rather dreadful consequences for said things. I should note that it contains some sensitive material (it is dark humor, after all), so please be aware of that if you go check it out.

There are some rough sketches I did as example pages that you can see on the page, but completing pieces of art like this takes time, and time is money. If we get the funding we need, I will be able to dedicate my time to creating the illustrations for this book!

THE RESURRECTION [I am back!]

Some stuff happened. I got a new tablet- A Yiynova MSP19U+ monitor tablet which works beautifully and seriously raised my art quality. I finally finished finals for the last semester and am now in easy fun classes that don't suck. I've taken up a small job/paid apprenticeship as a mortician (hours/days are irregular- I'm basically called in whenever I'm needed). From the one time I've been called in thus far, I find it to be pretty enjoyable and interesting, as grim as it is. Overall things are nicer now and I feel pretty refreshed and ready to get back into this site.
Now that I have a tablet that allows me to produce higher quality work at a quicker pace, I'll be able to post more and will likely re-open commissions soon because I want to save up as much money as possible to move out and get a place hopefully in the next year or so if things go well.
Anyway, simply wanted to announce that I've returned! Expect more regular activity and even more content better than before!

Nothing bad happened, and god no, this isn't about all that stupid drama that people like to overreact to and pretend to leave the site over. I've got no sour feelings towards this site or any specific people on it.
I just.. lost interest in being here? It's a weird thing to explain. I guess, not really doing much "furry" stuff these days, and not really having much of an interest in the theme, my interest in being here has also faded. I've really just lost motivation to continue updating my page here.
For now, I'm just going to say I'm taking a break instead of letting my page die without any explanation or just saying "BYE I'M LEAVING FOREVER" suddenly and without certainty that that's even true. I don't know how long my "break" will be, but if I ever decide to leave permanently, I'll make another journal about it saying so.

Some shit [major changes in life, moving, etc.]
Posted 10 years agoOkay, so something happened last week, and as a result I have to move over to the US to live with my father. Close friends of mine and people who talk to me regularly already know exactly what happened and I really don't feel like going into detail here. (And, to those people, I greatly appreciate your guys' listening, truly; thank you so much, this shit has been very stressful for me and you've helped me feel less terrible throughout all this.)
Basically what happened, without going into too much detail, is that words were put into my mouth by someone and because of that I'm being booted. And so I needed to QUICKLY have a ticket arranged to go to my dad. This past week has been absolute shit. I stayed a few days at a friend's house which was nice though. Still, this was in the back of my head the whole time.
My plane goes tomorrow morning. Even after I arrive, I still will be feeling.. out of it for a little bit. I'll also be getting busy with arranging some academic stuff, because I still have to finish school (all the moving about in my life + language barriers set me back a bit) and later plan to go to uni.
Strangely, despite that, I think I'll actually end up having a little more free time than I did here, even if it isn't immediately after I get there. I may be able to reopen commissions and such in a bit (with new types of commissions available and different prices), and get more art done.
Though, for now, I just really need some space. @_@

Holiday trip (happy holidays!)
Posted 11 years agoYep! Going to the US to celebrate the holidays with some of my family. It'll be my first time flying in four years. .-. I'll be spending tonight in a hotel in Germany, then the next morning, I leave on the longer plane trip!
Once I arrive Sunday evening, I will be spending all my time with my family, so I'll probably be very slow with responding to messages. I'm.. excited I have to say, I'll be getting to see and stay with my grandparents from RI who I'm very close with. c: It ought to be nice.
So, I wish you all Happy Holidays now! Whatever you celebrate, have fun with it! Even those who aren't celebrating, have a nice time. Anyone doing something special for the holidays?

School restarts this Wednesday, so.. egh. I still am a bit "off" from the road trip. Arrived back at exactly midnight.
Bwah, I kinda just, generally can't think right now. Road trips do that to me. xD I'll try to be getting back into the art groove.
I'm keeping commissions closed for the time being so I can do more personal work.
Anyway, hope all y'all had an awesome summer! ... Because it's over now. :U

I'll be able to respond to messages, but with a delay. (there's like no internet down there)
Going on a road trip to the south, where there'll be beaches and stuff. I won't be making any digital art during that time unless it's on my 3DS or something. Hm, I'll be doing traditional art though, and might upload if I'm happy enough with how it turned out. (I like never upload my traditional art for some reason lel.)
Anywho, yes, vacation. .w. I'll continue with stuff when I get back.
(Short and jumbled journal because writing in a rush. xD)

Ghost submission

Well actually I'm having this bug where my FA message center tells me there's this extra submission there when there actually isn't. Like, it'll say "(10S)" when there's actually only 9 submissions in there. And when I nuke my submissions, it leaves the ghost behind so it still says "(1S)" up there in the corner when there's actually nothing. .-.
I normally wouldn't write a journal about something so little but this little ghost has been hangin' out there for some time now and doesn't seem to want to go anywhere unless something's done about it (though I originally assumed it'd be gone after a few days). So before I report this, has anyone else had this bug? If so, what did you do about it?
(Just making sure that before I go through with a bug report that it didn't already have some kind of easy fix that never needed a report to begin with)

If you want to RP, read this before asking me, because there are a lot of things I won't do that many other people seem to do and I don't want to be asked to do stuff that I won't do.
If you are interested, note me. I'm usually open for a good RP. :]
Anywho, contents below.
1) Characters:

Though I might make a new one if we're trying a new theme or something.
And I come up with new characters all the time. A lot of my characters are either an original race or don't classify into anything specific/are just their own thing. Most of them are humanoid in body-type.
2)Places I'll RP over (in order of preference):
-Email (ask me for it)
-FA notes
-Steam chat (in my info, let me know you're adding me. If we use Steam I will log the RP in a notepad file or something for tracking.)
3) Genres:
-Dark fantasy, or normal fantasy (long-term preference, and can be either modern or classic)
-Quick battles (short RPs where we just make our characters fight for the hell of it.)
-Action
-Sci-fi
*I am also open to trying some new genres, but those are what I do most and am best at. Ask me about stuff, but keep in mind that there's some genres and themes I won't do- see #5 for what I won't allow.
4) Preferences and notes:
-Literate/paragraph form only. No exceptions.
-Must be story-driven. (I suck at magically conjuring up a plot instantly so I'll probably ask you if you've got any plot ideas first- if not, I can try my best to think of something, or we can brainstorm together!)
-Preferably long-term, though I've got no problem with mini RPs. Long-terms are just generally more immersive and I like that better.
-I don't consider RPs canon unless we both agree otherwise, so I'm fine with killing my characters. Parallel universes! However, I'll only do so if I see it fitting to do so and choose to.
-I don't mind if you're not incredibly experienced in RP or writing. But please at least know the basics first.
-I don't really do fan-RPs. If I do, it'll only be on something I understand/am really into. And there are few things I feel that way about enough to want to RP.
-It should go without saying, but people have gotten uptight about it before- keep in mind that my personality/opinions are different from those of my characters and not to take the things they might say or do to heart- especially from the characters of mine that happen to be assholes. Actually, the personalities of the majority of my characters aren't even remotely similar to my own.
-I understand that real life gets in the way, and it's okay if this effects how often you can reply. Just lemme know if anything's up, and I can wait. I'm pretty patient. c:
-If you'd like to see one character of mine in particular, let me know. (Trust me, it actually does save me some trouble as I often have trouble choosing who to start with) I also like knowing a bit about the characters you're gonna use. I like hearing about other people's characters!
5) WHAT I WILL **NOT** DO (no exceptions, so don't ask!):
-Erotic/sexual
-Fetish (that goes for any type- it's just a general no.)
-Casual/slice of life (simply because it bores me)
-Romantic (I might do a character pairing if it makes sense and develops in character, but will not do an RP centered around romance or just throw one of mine into a relationship without it even going anywhere on its own.)
6) What's allowed/stuff I've got no issues with:
-Profanity/swearing (no censoring needed)
-Violence
-Blood & gore
7) Stuff I like:
-Drama (as long as it's done well and not melodrama)
-SUSPENSE! (as long as it's eventually answered though, I hate being left to hang ;-;)
-Darker themes
-Combat & action
-ADVENTUUUURE
-Major conflict
-Awesome villains and antagonists!
-Interesting/well-made characters~ <:3
8) These'll annoy me if you do 'em so don't do 'em:
-Constant one-liners. I'm not asking novel-length stuff and shortish replies are okay if there's not much going on, but at least put some effort into it.
-Godmodding. That means controlling my characters in any way, including making your attacks hit them without giving me the chance to decide whether or not I want that attack hitting my character. Just be fair and I will too. Seriously.
-Zero effort into grammar. Typos are fine, and I understand if English isn't your first language. The least you can do though, is try to make it proper.
-Overpowered characters. Yeah, the ones that can effortlessly kill just about any being with a single graceful gesture of the hand. You know the ones.
-Unless we agree upon it before starting, our characters will not know each other until they meet in the RP. Mine never met or interacted with yours in the past, and yours never interacted with mine. So that means no claiming that your character saved mine at some point or that mine attacked/nearly murdered yours, or that they're "old friends". That's annoying and I consider it a form of godmodding since it does technically involve controlling my character. It also leads to out-of-character portrayals an awful lot. Our characters don't know each other until we have them meet, or unless we decide that they do beforehand.
-Plot inconsistency, too much side-tracking, and "add-on" events thrown in there with little consideration or planning for the purpose of dragging it out. Sub-plots are fine as long as they're PLANNED OUT and don't completely throw off the main storyline.COMMISSIONS- THEY BE OPEN! (6 slots!)
