The last week and a half has been really busy and emotionally draining. I've had to go through almost everything in the house with my ex and figure out what's hers and what's mine, with a small break for class and getting to meet n hang out with for a little bit earlier this week. I've been sort of a wreck with next to no motivation, and yesterday we drove the ex and all their stuff a few towns over to the other 'friend' they're going to be staying with, and the exchange wasn't exactly... fun. Today I've gotta play happy at my great aunts 70th birthday lunch, but after that I'm going to try and pick up on art again.

but it's a really shitty printer, so I'd almost suggest still printing digital badges yourself, because mine is like, $30 bucks from walmart cause I needed one for classes. :P

oh man, sorry I've been out again. Finally got the broken tooth removed and they did have to put me under and I just felt miserable afterwards *I do not mesh with anesthesia at all, got all nauseous and sloggy and just ick all over * followed by a few days of barely eating anything because ow, mouth, FOLLOWED BY getting sick and just pretty much not wanting anything to do with lights, screens, or anything that had anything to do with brightness or moving or being awake. Finally feeling like a living human again though!

Art and stuff should be back on track in a day or so~ I'll be back on later after work and post results for the Art Raffle then!

I woke up feeling a lot better, and actually drew myself into a much better mood *if only pen pressure would work today HNG, been fighting with it all morning*

But yah, last night was not good feels, and I didn't really have any of my normal people to talk to online, and a whole bunch of stuff on top of going about 40 hours with no sleep *this school thing and waking up at 5:30 am to get ready for 9 hours of classes is really throwing off my usual sleeping schedule*

We did make some awesome buttermilk biscuits and foccacia bread though, and I'm gonna be re-making it at home and putting the recipe's up for people soon!

now to go figure out why my tablet's being such a butt.

Um... I'm not feeling so good emotionally right now and sort of spiraled down this afternoon something harsh, so I'm gonna take tomorrow and maybe the next day off the Internet and kind of away from, eh, life right now. Things went really shitty today with my, uh, ex and I'm just kind of not up to anything right now... a house can be amazingly empty with three people in it sometimes...

OH and I re-did the working-on dates on trello for stuff after the little art hiccup. I'm gonna be making the time frames wider (more 3 to 5ish days instead of 2 day spans mostly).

I forgot classes were starting up again this week at my college XD Going back to take some more cullinary/baking stuff, and my tuesdays are pretty much PACKED from 8am to 5pm with class things now, and monday we had an AC repair man come out and I got the rest of my class stuff together, so I gotta go fudge around some of the completion times on my trello cause I'm already behind on that :P I think I need to make them a little more broad than just a 2-3 days, like maybe give them a 5 day - week span of completion or something??? IDK i'm new to actually doing that kind of thing. Or maybe I'll just use the rainbow lable colors as sort of a blue comes after green, purple comes after blue, pink comes after purple, red comes after pink kind of thing??? I'll figure something out :P

last journal for now I promise but AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA galaxy cat friend (cause they don't have a name for that sona yet, so they're just gonna be galaxy cat or GC for now I guess) just informed me we are definitely going to FWA this year, and they already have the room booked for us and everything and I'm kind of flipping my shit cause I haven't been there since.... Probably 8 years ago??? maybe more?????? But I'm WAY SUPER PUMPED FOR THIS NOW and I'm gonna be doing badges because the theme is CAMP like camping and summer camp and just outdoorsy stuff and WOO! I used to love camping when I was little and I REALLY wanna make smores now but I'm gonna be definitely doing digital badges for people that wanna print them themselves *my printer is shit when it actually wants to work which isn't often, and ink is expensive* and some traditional badges too kinda like the one I did for myself but IDK, theme badges or just regular badges for pick up or what, but I'm like, bouncing excited right now!

Yup, so I'm gonna be trying to actually do more commission art and stuff on here as my new official main account. I haven't even really logged onto my old one in probably 2 months, and going back *went on hiatus with no out-standing commissions or anything, no worries* feels weird. Like, this 'me' feels way more right. So instead of just treating this as a side thing, I'm just gonna go for it!

Also, the old account has some not so fun memories tied into it now after splitting up with my ex, so new (official) sona, new me :3

And to keep with jumping around topics, cause I did NOT think this one through very well, I'm gonna be expanding away from the 4 commission slots and just sort of take things as they come :3 I'm gonna be trying to keep up with something like a trello *maybe not trello, but something like it* and keep commission stuff posted so people can see what all I have on my list to do. Though I sorta use a trello (read: notepad doc with all commission info on it, in order of taking them) to keep stuff organized for myself, the public one would be like, 'PersonsName: 2 character shaded : Date it was commissioned', just so people know what's up. and also maybe a 'date I'm gonna be working on it' or at least try to work on it. Or like do something like January 3-6 as a date range or something... Or maybe make Date cards and put which one's are gonna be on there, and then keep just a master list somewhere??? idk. I'm REALLY bad at organizing things well. I either throw everything into one list/pile or try to organize it out so much it might as well not have been organized to start with lol.

I miscalculated my bank balance after end of the month bills, and I'm sort of in need of a tank of gas right now *it's almost on empty* but I won't be getting paid until friday from work. So would anyone be interested in a 3 character flat color or a 2 character shaded? *or a series of like, 4-5 single character sketches or something?*

I'm back, and feeling a little bit better. My family ended up keeping me over a bit longer than originally planned, and I was able to pick up a friend of mine *that's gonna help me make a Dr Alphys costume for a con later this year sometime in the next week/2weeks/yay* and hang out with me for a good while. They may be movin in here in a few months time also, so that's really cool!

I'm still really frazzled and everything's still shitty, but taking a break from pretty much everything in life for a while to spend with family really helped out a lot. I'm not gonna say I'm totally better and everything is awesome and happy right now, but I've been dragging my feet and letting being depressed have too strong a hold on me, and I need to get myself back in gear. I'm not gonna say I'm gonna be busting out art like crazy again, but I am gonna be trying to get at least one picture done a day, ish, give or take work and how detailed pictures are, and I'm also gonna be re-organizing some stuff on my computer, and getting a couple more YCH things up *cause I'm really excited for the Steven Bomb coming up next week and I wanna doodle some SU themed stuff, so expect at least ONE group ych like that :P*

Like, in the last 5 days, I've driven almost 20 hours of it and I'm kinda jetlagged without the air travel. but driving was cheaper = w =;

ANYWAY, things are still weird, so I apologize if I end up being slow on replies or just kind of shut off for a little bit. I AM trying to look into the new year for the silver lining on things, but it's like the teeniest little sliver right now and I'm having a hard time keeping sight on it. But it'll get better.

this past week has been kind of awful

for a lot of reasons



as you all knew, I had the first bit of stuff done to actually fix my tooth, which ended up being hella painful because they had to do a surgical extraction of the root of the tooth, so yay pain killers, and we were supposed to go looking at a new stove, but my family has decided that that's an expense that's just out of everyone's budget so that's not gonna be happening for a while... At least I do know a good chunk of no-cook recipes, or stuff that can be done in a crock pot, microwave, or sandwich press...


but that's all sort of not the big part of everything being shitty.

Earlier this week, my partner of 4 years pretty much point blank told me they didn't 'love' me anymore, and had plans to be moving out in about three months. We'd just moved into our current place mid november, a condo, something permanent that we OWN, something we've been working for the past four years, and now I'm going to be trapped here. Alone. And over the past week, even though they still 'want to be friends', I've been pretty much shut out, living in the living room, and the only time they talk to me is if they're heading to the kitchen for food. I'm so fucking wrecked right now, I don't know what I did. They don't want to talk about it, and I don't know what's brought all of this on, and I'm just so fucking lost. Everything I've worked for, everything I've been living for has fallen apart around me and there's nothing I can do right now to pick up the pieces. They've made their decisions. They've already made plans to move out. They're pretty much all set in what they want to do with their life, but I'm left in the dark and stuck where I am because my name's on the lease.

I don't want to be here in this condo by myself and the silence here feel like it's starting to drive me crazy.

The only silver lining to this all is that I MIGHT be having a friend move in around the same time to help lighten the bill load and have another body in the house... but it's still months away, and I just really hate everything right now...

Now, i've been trying to work through it and just... carry on, cause I do not like mixing personal stuff with online stuff, but I'm really down right now, and pretty much all motivation has gone out the window. I'm going to be still trying to get things finished today, but I don't know If I can actually promise all of them will be finished before christmas. I'm going to be prioritizing gift pictures over other stuff.


Other than that, I really don't want to talk about stuff right now. With anyone. It's all the same looping circles and bringing up the same shit over and over. I'm not going to do anything stupid, so please don't worry about that kind of thing, but I'm just... really out of sorts... The last week, my life has pretty much gone to hell, and while I do try to look on the bright side in most situations, there really doesn't seem to be any bright side I can find right now...

I'm sorry, you guys.

Today is the last day I'm gonna be taking more gift commissions with the 50% discount, but the catch is still that the picture can't be for 'you'. It should be of someone else's character, or at least majorly focusing on someone else's character!

I think I can maybe take on 5 more that will DEFINITELY be done before christmas, but I'll also have 5 more slots (so 10 total) that will have a sort of 'this might have to wait until just after chistmas to get finished' add on rule. ONE LAST THING!

I'm gonna be out of town probably on the 24th to the 26th-ish visiting family, then after that I've got family coming to visit me(i've got a crazy extended family lol) so I'm not sure how fast art will get done during the week between christmas and new years! I might be REALLY SLOW during that time, but also might not be? We'll see how it goes :P

SO, uh, tooth got bad again the other day so I managed to get the dentist thing pushed up, but that wasn't fun. Not a whole lot to really update on that aside from it started hurting something awful again, but I got an emergency refill on the anti biotics and painstuff, and I'm seeing them for realsies on monday.

I've also got some bad news about the stove/oven in the form of a glorious oven fire and it's not really heating much of anything anymore. In fact, it's sitting lovingly in the 'large trash' pile awaiting it's final destination at the dump. No major damage happened, and no one got hurt, but I forgot to click off the heating element when I was getting set up for cookies and it uh, just kinda kept going till they caught fire at some 700-800 degree temperature... SO I need to get a new stove *family's pitching in to help with that as a mass single christmas present* and the raffle cookies are once more on hold probably until after the actual holiday unfortunately.


Gonna be back into art tonight/tomorrow and just bust butt on getting deadline things done :3 I'm hoping to clear up the commission queue by wednesday! but that's being pretty hopeful XD maybe by friday's more likely :P

Hey everyone! I'm gonna be doing another cookie raffle! To enter, just read over the little guideline stuff and comment below with a fitting theme *if you want something specific that is* :P

This raffle's theme is Winter Holidays! Which is a pretty broad spectrum once you get down to it. It's not quite as free range as the last batches *which will hopefully be going out within the week!* but you'll still be able to narrow the theme down to something like Christmas+Santa specific, Christmas+religious specific, wintery stuff and snowy stuff, Chanukah specific, New Years, and other wintery holiday things. If there's a no-theme theme, it'll end up as non-holiday winter stuff :P

There will be 3 winners again on the 10th, and these will HOPEFULLY be going out around the 15th-18th, give or take holiday shenanigans again. Unfortunately I still don't think I can ship internationally.

*The main winner will get a dozen (12) cookies! 2 can be custom cut shapes and the others will be more generic-y shapes. Basically anything I have cookie cutters for, so simple shapes or holiday stuff right now. I'm working on getting more cutters though

*Mini Winners will get a half dozen(6) cookies! 1 of the six can be a custom cut shape and the others will be simpler :3

*Most of the cookies will be between 2 and 4 inches, though I have some smaller cutters and larger cutters, so it's sort of a mystery!



AS A BIG NOTE, ANYONE WITH MAJOR FOOD ALLERGIES SHOULD BE VERY CAREFUL IF EATING THESE COOKIES! I work in a kitchen that has nuts and tree nuts and other major food allergens in it constantly, and while I do try to keep my work area clean at all times, there is a small chance that cross contamination CAN HAPPEN! I do a LOT of cooking and baking and when I go on a baking spree things can get mixed accidentally, so PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY ALLERGIES BEFORE HAND AND I WILL TRY TO KEEP YOUR COOKIES AS SEPARATE AS I CAN!

yup, officially got a dentist appointment set up for next week! I'm still going to be open for a bunch of the Base YCHs, and I'll be putting up a few more in the coming week or so until I know I'll have enough for the corrective stuff after I get the tooth taken care of for realsies. I feel a lot better already with the new pain meds and anti-biotics doing their job, and I can actually eat sorta normally again too. Ish. mis-bites still hurt D:


BUT in the mean time taking a break from sketching *gonna finish the last sketches this afternoon* I went ahead and made a batch of sugar cookie dough and fiddled with temperatures and found out I get to sit there and constantly re-heat and turn off and re-heat and turn off the oven to keep it at the right temperature for cookies. it's a little derp, but after a few batches I got the hang of it :3

I should be able to get back onto doing the cookie batches soon!

I'm also gonna be setting up the raffle for the 'specifically christmas/winterholiday' cookie sets soon too! They won't be as whatever with the theme and will need to stick to some kind of wintery thing or winter holiday stuffs for these ones.

I got to see an emergency dentist this morning and he was actually kind enough to get a couple loose pieces unstuck during the preliminary exam, and hooked me up with a light dose of antibiotics (there was the start of a possible infection) and some KICKASS painkillers. It still hurts, but it's just a dull throb now rather than a brain-splitting jabbing feel with every pulse.

I'm actually about ready to pass out now, so I'll be starting up on art things again for reals tomorrow.

I still need to see my actual dentist to get recomended to a dental surgeon to see what can be done about the deep damage too the tooth and then we're gonna be going from there on corrective measures, so I don't have a real idea on how much all that will be.


THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH that have helped out so far to let me get to the dentist so quickly! I'm going to be hoarding funds for the next few weeks at least and busting butt on getting as much art done as quickly as I can leading up to the big official 'how do we fix this' appointment in the next week-and-a-half-ish? They were still checking which days were available and I have to get time off from work if I can for whichever day it is.
