Now that I actually have things to pay for, I'll be updating my commissions page. The old one I've been using was thrown together last minute, and it's not a great example of my work at all.

I've gotten some feedback, some saying to up them (which I did), a few to lower them (which I will). I'm still figuring out what to charge because I've never really done this commission stuff much, and all of the "charge based on X" advice does nothing for my situation. So it might be a while before I genuinely figure out what I'm doing.

In the meantime I'm going to upload some of my older works so people have SOME idea of what my style and art looks like. The sucky part is I usually draw humans or human-like creatures...and I can't exactly upload those here. (Maybe it's time to invest in a website.)

I'm open to suggestions or messages, I'm just clueless on a lot of this. Including how this website works. I feel like a boomer trying to figure out this newfangled technology the young whippersnappers are using these days.

(Is it just me, or is this site struggling in the user-friendly department? Feels like 2007 DeviantArt.)

I never thought it'd happen. I'll be honest.

But I caught someone using my art for their profile on that one furry RP site. You can probably guess which.

I didn't expect that to ever happen. I never expected to get much attention, or any at all, especially since I haven't posted anything in a long while. Well, that'll teach me.

I'm flattered, really. But it's clear I need to pay more attention to what happens on this site.

That means there'll be some changes. I'm going to start slapping a lot more watermarks on my work from now on, and if someone uses my art without permission, I'll be requesting it taken down. (It doesn't hurt to ask. The worst I'll say is "sorry, but that's for someone else.")

I'll also be considering commissions. It's been a hell of a long time since I did any, so I'll take some time to adjust into those shoes, and they'll be small to start. But in case anyone's interested, those might be coming soon.

Once they're open, I'll let you all know through a journal update probably. (I don't know how things work here. Do people get notifications for those?)
