Posted 8 years agoI'm at the airport about to board a flight to Kansai International airport in japan. I'm a little nervous but it looks like everything should be good. It'll be my first trip out of the USA. I don't know what to expect but I'm going to keep an open mind and enjoy myself. Expect a lot of pictures posted to this gallery. =^.^=

Posted 10 years agoWorkout question
Posted 10 years agoThis goes out to the fitness enthusiasts out there?
Is there any good exercise program where I can use dumbbells and barbells? My apartment gym doesn't have equipment such as a leg machine or a lat bar. I'd like to get started with this place before I move out. Any tips would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Patreon question
Posted 10 years agoOk I have an honest question.
What is the benefit of supporting someone on Patreon vs supporting by purchasing commissions? From some of the things I've seen, to get any kind of reward for supporting on patreon you would have to give about the same as you would for a commission on a monthly basis. In addition, some are drawings so you would be paying for a chance to get a piece as opposed to paying for a guaranteed piece. It just does not make sense.

Such an amazing time
Posted 10 years agoSince I first saw it in my animals of north america class, I always wanted to go to Yosemite National Park. After graduating and thanks to the generosity of my family, I was finally able to go and even brought my brother along.
I booked a room at a very nice place called the Tenaya lodge. The room was nice with very comfy beds and a spacious bathroom. They had a couple of restaurants there and the food was fantastic! Every morning we got the free buffet to load up before being outdoors all day and in the evening we got our choice between a upscale dinner or the bar-grill. Both were nice, but the bar-grill was the best with the massive burgers that you could choose the toppings. They even had a ricotta cheesecake that was delicious.
So for about two days we got to explore the park. We went to the Mariposa Groves where they have the giant sequoia trees that towered the other trees and had been growing for thousands of years. needless to say they were beautiful. Too bad we got lost and ended up spending a good 5 hours there lol.
When we entered the main park, the Tunnel View point was breath taking. You could see the entire valley and it almost didn't look real. It was like someone painted it as a backdrop. Thankfully the waterfalls were flowing so it broke that illusion.
We mostly explored the waterfall areas of the park. We looked at Brideveil falls, climbed all the way to the base of the lower yosemite falls, and hiked up to Vernal Falls. Vernal falls was the best because not only could we see the massive valley and it had beautiful rainbows emerging from the base, but I managed to climb there with a cold.
Yes, I said a cold. i kind of got sick on the trip. It didn't bother us too much, but we weren't able to see much because I got so tired I was almost falling asleep on strangers on the shuttle. Not the worst thing as it turn out the rain was coming in and we got out before it. Also it left us with more to explore the next time we went.
It was a great trip. I not only got a ton of good exercise and got to see some wonderful sights, but I got to spend time with my brother who I usually don't see for more than a couple days a year. All in all, it was a fantastic and memorable time.
I'll be posting pictures too.

Posted 10 years agoIn honor of the series finale of The legend of Korra, I present you with a new quiz. What Type of Bender Are You quiz.
Here is my result
~~~~~~~~
You're a waterbender! Water is the element of change. You are easily adaptable and move through life with a sense of fluidity. You may feel drawn towards a career helping/healing others. To become a master waterbender you must work in concert with your environment.
~~~~
Now that you know what I am, I'm interested in hearing what you guys get. Take the quiz here ( http://www.playbuzz.com/devinm11/wh.....egend-of-korra ) and post the result.
