Adios, kiddos.
Posted 9 years agoI'm out of here. Downloaded all the stuff I paid money for, and throwing away the password. Going to leave this account live, but if you're trying to get ahold of me, Twitter or Furry Network, both @303snowwolf, is the place to do it.
Con calendar!
Posted 11 years agoDid you know, there's now a better place to see a calendar of all the upcoming conventions? Check out fur-cal.com, a monthly and yearly calendar view of all known active cons, updated as dates and details are announced! You can even download the entire calendar straight into your calendar program of choice (ICS file, for Apple and Google Calendar, Outlook and Thunderbird). Made by yours truly as a public service, feel free to share and repost.
Please note it's still in beta, so some layout bugs may crop up. Please submit cons not on the calendar via the submit link, and please report bugs or inaccuracies to me.

Any photografurs interested in a super cool website?
Posted 11 years agoSo, I've been working on a photography website for my good friend Tav, it can be seen at tavfox.com. The site arose out of the lack of a solution for letting people view images for free, pay to download full-res albums, or throw a few bucks in a tip jar. I'm getting to the point in development where I need to know - IS ANYONE ELSE INTERESTED IN HAVING A WEBSITE LIKE THIS? (please note the tavfox.com demo is not fully functional yet, but it's an ok example of what the end product will be). It can make you money through paid downloads of full-res albums, a tip jar, and ads. I'm obviously not asking for any commitment, I just need to know if any people want it before I start coding the administrator backend. You'd need to host it yourself (GoDaddy's like $8/month works fine for a handful of photo albums, though obviously hosting a bajillion cons would need something better), and I'd ask a couple bucks a month for ad-free operation, or for free if I can put one ad somewhere. It's fully customizable, you can obviously change the background images, text, etc. through the admin panel. Just leave a comment if this is something you'd like to have to put all your pictures up on.
Oh, and uploading new albums is really easy. You just upload a zip of the full-res images and it will automatically make half and thumb copies, generate the album cover, add it to the site, etc.
Demo: tavfox.com (still working on some features, but it's functional)

Last chance!
Posted 11 years agoPlease note that this is your last chance to get a custom-engraved wood base on a fursuit head stand, available here:
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14373928/
Tonight is the cutoff for custom engraving as well as getting your choice of colors! After midnight or so tonight, the only ones available will be the variety of finishes I've already made and have in stock. Fully custom made and engraved ones will open back up at Thanksgiving.

Want to keep cool? Get a fursuit head fan!
Posted 11 years agoSo, my favorite electronics store has computer fans for sale as surplus, meaning they're super cheap. I bought a bag of the little buggers, and I'm assembling them into kits. Out of the box, you get a 40mm fan (about 1.3" square), 30" of wire connecting it to a high/low/off switch, 9v battery pack and battery. All for $18 + shipping.
Also, the fans are 12v (though the 9v battery still provides plenty of airflow). So, if you'd like, you can run them off a 3S LiPo battery!
PM if you want one.

Climbing of Mt. Bierstadt ahead of RMFC 2014
Posted 12 years ago(**NOT** affiliated with the organizers of RMFC in any way)
Hey all-
I'm fairly new to the fandom and a Colorado Native. I was thinking that, given the theme of RMFC this year being "14ers" and celebrating Colorado's 14,000 ft. mountains, I'm proposing the organization of a furry ascent of Mt. Bierstadt the weekend before RMFC (the weekend of August 2).
Bierstadt is one of the closest 14ers to Denver, being about 1hr 45 min from the Denver Tech Center where RMFC is. Bierstadt is considered an easy climb and the hike to the summit is about 3 miles long, with a vertical climb of 2,391 ft.
Anyway, if anyone thinks this sounds like fun, please message me and we'll try and set something up! The whole thing is weather dependent of course, but the general idea is that we'd all start out from the Bierstadt trailhead at 7:00 AM at the latest, summit around 11-12, hang out, enjoy the view, eat lunch and engage in furry debauchery, and be heading down by 1-2, before the inevitable afternoon storm rolls in. Lastly, we'd probably top the whole thing off with a beer in Georgetown.
This is just me putting a feeler out there to see if anyone is interested, so please message me if this sounds like fun! If there is enough interest generated, I'll post back with a more concrete plan closer to the con, and we can see about organizing carpools, etc.
Thanks!
P.S. - Again, this isn't affiliated with RMFC in any way, I'm just a regular furry looking to climb a mountain before the con.
