And POOF, just like that, January is over! Scary. :| This is a bit smaller paw-mail than usual 'cause there just haven't been as many paw pics popping up in the last few days! Also, no fur-in-need to post in this one, so I'll get right to the paw stuff. :)

Two great macro pics from Ms. Ligerjazz! Both have such wonderful big footpaws with plush soles and nice big toes. On the second one, it would seem a paw-lover got a bit too close... but... looks so soft, he might just be okay. (at least that's what I'm telling myself)

Thaz produces a variety of themed work from macro images, to stomping, to foot worship to just good old paw-centric pictures of great looking footpaws. Though bursting onto the FA scene only a short while ago, nearly every time he posts something it's a paw-related type of picture. While some of the themes may not appeal to everyone, he varies the content enough that everyone who likes paws will certainly find something they they enjoy in his gallery. He is very much into paws (not just good at drawing them) which stems from, as he put it, "... a real bad foot fetish that slowly mixed up with furry themes."
When it comes to comments and feedback, he responded "I like all sorts of comments as long as they are not offensive or hateful. Of course detailed reviews (and justified criticism) is most welcome!" And when asked if he had anything he'd like to tell y'all, he said:
"I'm really surprised about how open people are and I'm always glad to find fellow furs with the same interests. The feedback encourages me to push me further and improve my art in all aspects!"
So go head on over to his gallery and check out some of the cool stuff. Also be sure to check his scraps as he often posts alternative versions of pictures (for example, a clean-sole instead of a dirty sole).

A miracle happened this weekend - though being on-call, the pager didn't go off once. Like... that NEVER happens. I was so relieved! The University of Western Ontario (or WesternU as they now like to be called for lol/hurdurr reasons) is a good size campus - 103 buildings, 45K students, and 6000+ staff. We monitor over 1400 switches, hundreds of UPSs, hundreds of servers and a ton of environmental controls and alarms, so... for no pages to happen, that's just awesome. :D I sincerely hope I didn't just jinx the rest of my week by saying that. XD

Mornin' all! Yay for Friday! Except for me... 'cause I start my on-call week (happens once every 7 weeks), so surely to be a few sleep-wrecked nights of gear breaking at a the campus. *rolls eyes* Ah well, life of a Network Admin/Engineer I guess.
The character highlight returns in today's mail so be sure to check that out at the bottom. Also got a nice shout-out from PlantigradeFursOfFA about this list (http://www.furaffinity.net/user/pla.....gradefursoffa/) - if you like Plantigrade footpaws, you may wanna join the group! On that note, I actually prefer plantigrade footpaws over digitigrade myself, though I prefer the plantigrades to not look too human. Not that I dislike human feet just that I can see those anytime. :P Also does not mean I don't like digitigrade! I very much do - it's more like a 60/40 split in favour of Plantigrade. :P

1st pic: Aww... very sweet and tender cuddle picture of a couple. The male is showing some nice paws in it, but gotta love it just for the emotion in it as well. :)
2nd pic: O_O I don't know how Sera got herself into this situation... but... I'm not sure she really minds. Amazing picture for paw-detail, and actually a bit of a fun story too - Sera showed me the reference for this one a while back, and I loved the little reference she made (Sera makes a reference for all artists to show them how she wants the pic laid out) that I said I'd try to draw it too. So... yeah, I'm working on a tentacle pic too. I'm not sure I'll post it though - maybe only scraps if I do, 'cause trust me.... mine's not as good at this one! XD It is good for the sake of practice though, and I'm very glad Sera got an awesome artist to do the official one.

Not just a nice character, but a super nice guy behind the character too! ShadowWolf goes by FA account name "yohanngabe", but prefers to be called ShadowWolf as he identifies greatly with his fursona.
Detailed Summary: ShadowWolf grew up with the unique power of Shape-Shifting. Unfortunately, when he was young and not quite as skilled as he thought he was, a transformation that did not work properly left him unable to fully change the colour of his paw pads, or part of his member. While in his adulthood, he no longer has issues, that old and unique scar of sorts stays with him, so no matter what form you see him in, you can tell right away who it is from those unique bi-coloured features.
A very friendly wolf, he loves to meet new people and spend time with friends - be it intimate or simple, and he certainly does have a strong appreciation of footpaws - both his own, and those of his friends and lovers!
Commenting on Submissions: Shadow is pretty open to commentary on his submissions and particularly likes when folks give a detailed compliment on why they like the image. The sort of comments he doesn't like are detailed role playing style ones (which is sort of in the creepy/suggestive realm), or negative comments where a person just says that they hate the picture and why (which... is a very lame thing to do, IMO).

2nd pic: O_O I don't know how Sera got herself into this situation... but... I'm not sure she really minds. Amazing picture for paw-detail, and actually a bit of a fun story too - Sera showed me the reference for this one a while back, and I loved the little reference she made (Sera makes a reference for all artists to show them how she wants the pic laid out) that I said I'd try to draw it too. Not just a nice character, but a super nice guy behind the character too! ShadowWolf goes by FA account name "yohanngabe", but prefers to be called ShadowWolf as he identifies greatly with his fursona.
Detailed Summary: ShadowWolf grew up with the unique power of Shape-Shifting. Unfortunately, when he was young and not quite as skilled as he thought he was, a transformation that did not work properly left him unable to fully change the colour of his paw pads, or part of his member. While in his adulthood, he no longer has issues, that old and unique scar of sorts stays with him, so no matter what form you see him in, you can tell right away who it is from those unique bi-coloured features.
A very friendly wolf, he loves to meet new people and spend time with friends - be it intimate or simple, and he certainly does have a strong appreciation of footpaws - both his own, and those of his friends and lovers!
Commenting on Submissions: Shadow is pretty open to commentary on his submissions and particularly likes when folks give a detailed compliment on why they like the image. The sort of comments he doesn't like are detailed role playing style ones (which is sort of in the creepy/suggestive realm), or negative comments where a person just says that they hate the picture and why (which... is a very lame thing to do, IMO).

Starting with my own sorta plug here - this is Nyrri Silversnow, my female charr character from Guild Wars 2. She is a Guardian, who was raised as much by the Norn as the charr, and holds the rank of Centurion in the Blood Legion. She is short for charr, but very, very strong. All of the first born females of her family have had a weird genetic abnormality that makes them far stronger than a normal charr, hence her muscle. :) Unlike most charr, she believes in and prays to the Norn spirits, especially Raven, and as of late 1326AE, is monogamous mated to her beloved Makeva. However, in 1325AE, she did run across a certain little blue dragon who found herself in Tyria (*cough cough Sera*), and there will be a story coming out soon about that. ;) She is very much into paws, largely thanks to Sera's

A sexy equine character with paws! Really, really awesome paws! And a very beautiful picture that so perfectly captures one of the many beautiful moments you can share with feet. Even if you're not hugely into paws (which... does not likely apply to anyone on this list), washing a friend or loved one's foot is a very soothing, caring and intimate thing. If you've never done it for someone... try it. A hot soak and gentle washing can also be a wonderful prelude to a long, soothing foot rub. :) VK did a magical job of capturing the tenderness and beauty of that simple action in that second link. :)

1st pic: Contrary to popular lore, the Charr don't hate all dragons. :3 This charr seems pretty happy with her dragon friends. Iggi has a very interesting take on Charr footpaws - smooth soled with pads, and man... that dragon on the bottom sure has a nice spot - quick turn of his head to either side and there's a gorgeous charr sole!

Tag is a talented artist who draws a wide variety of work which happens to feature very lovely footpaws on a pretty frequent basis, including a few pictures that are footpaw centric. Tag thinks paws are cute things and she enjoys drawing them, though she is not personally into paws/feet. She tends to go with a semi-realistic style as such, and keeps her drawing of paws themselves to fairly tame circumstances (despite whatever else the character might be up to, heh). She loves getting feedback on her art - particularly on the way things are drawn or whether people like the character(s). She's not a big fan of creepy or x-rated suggestive commentary unless she knows the commissioner is okay with it (something I think that can be said for most artists out there), so do comment appropriately on her work. When asked if there was anything she'd like to say to everyone here, she responded:
"I just hope people enjoy the way I'm drawing and I hope to continue to improve with every image as I fully develop my style! :D And I love taking paw-themed commissions now and then that focus the paws/feet. It's a great way to diversify my gallery!"
So there you have it! Go check out her stuff - there's LOTS to look through, give her a watch and keep her in mind if every you need to show off some sole. ;)

Morning all! So a normal Paw-mail today (no highlights or anything, those are Friday's now). There is one thing I was thinking about though - perhaps a more expanded comment-tag for things. Right now I have an entry in the Legend for Tame Comments Only (TCO!), but maybe there should be a more tier'd system?
The reason I mention this is that I've found artists and/or commissioners all have different comfort levels with the sort of comments that they get on their work. That can range from completely tame comments, to lewd and creepy/suggestive comments. I was thinking of maybe a 4-tier system for this, and this would apply only to the artist (keep in mind that commissioners of the work may have different preferences):
GC - G-rated, Tame comments only; Artist and Commissioner prefers that comments on the content of the art be tame, non-suggestive/sexual.
RC - R-rated, mature comments welcome - can be sexual in nature so long as they are not personally suggestive.
XC - X-rated, creepy, suggestive, highly sexual and all other manor of weird commentary is okay.
Bear in mind the added complexity is the commissioner in that some prefer Tame comments while the artist themselves may not care about X-rated commentary. If I know a commissioner is not a fan of heavy comments, I'd rate the picture accordingly, but sometimes that's hard to know for sure. Even with most artists, unless they've specifically told me what sort of comments they like, I can't be sure.
From my experience, most artists in the fandom, myself included (ugh... for what little art I do next to stories) are comfortable with the middle R-rated tier. So what do you guys think? Please speak up in the journal copies of this list and let me know your thoughts on what would be a good fit. :)

Morning all! So a normal Paw-mail today (no highlights or anything, those are Friday's now). There is one thing I was thinking about though - perhaps a more expanded comment-tag for things. Right now I have an entry in the Legend for Tame Comments Only (TCO!), but maybe there should be a more tier'd system?
The reason I mention this is that I've found artists and/or commissioners all have different comfort levels with the sort of comments that they get on their work. That can range from completely tame comments, to lewd and creepy/suggestive comments. I was thinking of maybe a 4-tier system for this, and this would apply only to the artist (keep in mind that commissioners of the work may have different preferences):
GC - G-rated, Tame comments only; Artist and Commissioner prefers that comments on the content of the art be tame, non-suggestive/sexual.
RC - R-rated, mature comments welcome - can be sexual in nature so long as they are not personally suggestive.
XC - X-rated, creepy, suggestive, highly sexual and all other manor of weird commentary is okay.
Bear in mind the added complexity is the commissioner in that some prefer Tame comments while the artist themselves may not care about X-rated commentary. If I know a commissioner is not a fan of heavy comments, I'd rate the picture accordingly, but sometimes that's hard to know for sure. Even with most artists, unless they've specifically told me what sort of comments they like, I can't be sure.
From my experience, most artists in the fandom, myself included (ugh... for what little art I do next to stories) are comfortable with the middle R-rated tier. So what do you guys think? Please speak up in the journal copies of this list and let me know your thoughts on what would be a good fit. :)

WOO Friday again! And it's off to a good start - someone left chocolate cake for everyone at work. :D So this is the first Paw-mail that will start with the "Character Highlight" section. Next Friday will be the Artist Highlight and it will then just keep alternating back and forth.
For the Character Highlight, I've done it in such a way as to give a basic summary of the character, their attributes and some details about them. These highlights are for the character, not necessarily the person behind the character. I say not necessarily because some people do identify with the their characters and consider them one and the same, and some don't. Anyway, you are welcome to give feedback either via e-mail or on the journal copies and the character owner will likely enjoy having a look. At the end of the Character Highlight section there is a bit about commentary types that the character/person enjoys or dislikes. I may also add that to the Artist section so that it's better known what sort of comments are appreciated or not. Bear in mind that some people like sexually suggestive commentary, and some don't (as recently mentioned in the artist highlight for Vallhund). Hence the "TCO!" tag in the Legend. Anyway! I believe the shark on the left is female. Two very cool shark characters at any rate, and AMAZING footpaws. Those two qualities are exquisitely represented in the stunningly beautiful Sera, which made her the perfect choice to start the character highlights in the Paw-Mails. I'm extra fortunate as well that Sera is a wonderful friend whom I've had the fortune to come to know in the last year. ^_^
Detailed Summary: Sera is a Wolf-dragon hybrid with more of the dragon showing through than wolf. Her footpaws have four large toes tightly around a smooth, plush ball pad, and like a feline, her pads are very soft and smooth, yet very tough. She prefers to always be bare-pawed, even when in full combat gear. She is a highly trained soldier that is part of an elite special operations squad. Highly proficient and martial arts and all manner of weapons, Sera is probably the last thing you see if you're one of her enemies. Her personality as a soldier is starkly different than other times; cold, efficient, purposeful.
Outside of her military work, she reverts to a very sweet, often very bashful lady who has one very strong attraction to paws! She is a pawsexual, in that the majority of her arousal is derived from footpaws, and bisexual in her attraction to genders. Important to note however is that her attraction to paws is 100% lesbian. A lady with a beautiful set of paws at Sera's snout will pretty much render her mesmerized and be an instant turn on. Next to footpaws, her next largest turn on is probably being eaten, so vore. But don't worry! She's a tough little dragon and once inside someone's belly, she slips into a hibernation state and her skin secrets a sort of irritant that makes them bring her back up. Good for her, maybe not so good for the one that tried to eat her. XD Other interests are more conventional sexual ones, though they hold far less appeal to her.
Clothing wise, there are only three main types of things Sera will wear: 1) Her combat gear, 2) shorts and a light t-shirt when not on duty, and 3) nothing. She prefers the latter, as clothing feels very odd to her.
Commenting on Submissions: I feel this an important thing to add since people have different comfort levels with how other comment on images and stories of their characters. Sera loves to get comments on her pictures in terms of the quality of the image, the topic, how the paws look, etc. Complimentary things are always appreciated! When asked about comments to refrain from, she said "Sexually suggestive commentary towards her, creepy comments, wanting to join in or to be next on whatever's going on in the picture are not so appreciated, even considered rude and offensive." Sera is an immensely personal character for her player, so just be respectful (technically, good advice for commenting on anyone's picture).

But don't worry! She's a tough little dragon and once inside someone's belly, she slips into a hibernation state and her skin secrets a sort of irritant that makes them bring her back up. Good for her, maybe not so good for the one that tried to eat her. XD Other interests are more conventional sexual ones, though they hold far less appeal to her.
Clothing wise, there are only three main types of things Sera will wear: 1) Her combat gear, 2) shorts and a light t-shirt when not on duty, and 3) nothing. She prefers the latter, as clothing feels very odd to her.
Commenting on Submissions: I feel this an important thing to add since people have different comfort levels with how other comment on images and stories of their characters. Sera loves to get comments on her pictures in terms of the quality of the image, the topic, how the paws look, etc. Complimentary things are always appreciated! When asked about comments to refrain from, she said "Sexually suggestive commentary towards her, creepy comments, wanting to join in or to be next on whatever's going on in the picture are not so appreciated, even considered rude and offensive." Sera is an immensely personal character for her player, so just be respectful (technically, good advice for commenting on anyone's picture).

So... yeah, ask me whatever (in the journals) - might as well keep the TMI theme for Tuesdays going. :P
So last Paw-Mail I asked about changing up the artist highlight feature and possibly a character highlight feature. I got some good feedback on journals and with some private talks, and I think the middle of the road solution of one highlight per week, alternating between character and artist would be easiest. It's sometimes hard to get a quick response from some artists, if a response comes at all, plus we'll burn through artists pretty quick if I keep doing it the way I was. :P So what I'll do from this point on is use the Friday Paw-Mail for the highlight, starting with a character highlight this week, and then an artist highlight the next and so on.

For 2015, I was thinking of changing up the paw-mails a bit to have one do a "character feature" and another do an "artist feature", because there are some incredible amazing characters in the fandom that are very paw-centric and deserve highlights! So question; do you guys think this is a good idea, and would you like to see this continue with every e-mail or move the highlight to a once a week thing? Please share your thoughts!

========================Okay - that last one is an important new add-on. There are a number of artists who enjoy drawing footpaws, but who do NOT like the sexual, suggestive or creepy comments that they get when they post paw stuff. In fact, there are some amazing artists who often hold off on paw-pics because of that factor. If I know that a particular artist is uncomfortable with such comments but still likes drawing paws, I will put that in the rating. Despite how much we like footpaws, always remember to not speak with your inner voice about them unless you know the artist AND the commissioner is okay with such comments - it's just good social tact. ;)

1st pic: So... Tel-Rex is suddenly a herm. Apparently it's just for this pic. No... I didn't realize that at first either 'cause I was lost looking at the toes and toes. :3
2nd pic: I think I've never seen a pic done before of a fur getting all prettied up like this! Little foam or cotton things between the toes is SO cute, letting fresh toe-claw paint dry. Daww. ^_^
3rd pic: BIG wolf guy at the moment of release. Love how his toes are tensely splayed, conveying that awesome moment of climax. Nice toes too at that.
4th pic: My favourite of the bunch - Herro's always stunning Drip Dry! It's cool to see other artists attempt Drip - Modem's done a spectacular job on her proportions, and especially on her very thick and meaty paw pads. Interesting shading technique used as well here.

You may recognize this name as the lady who did the recent holiday pic of my character Zrell! A great artist who does very fast work, is a pleasure to work with, and who asks entirely too little for her commissions (easily fixed by paying her more than she asks for - yay tips!). She has a vibrant, happy sort of drawing style to her characters, and enjoys doing pictures that include or even feature footpaws. I hope everyone's holidays were enjoyable. :) They were very busy for me, and all went very well except for a glitch with my truck (crankshaft sensor is dying) but eh, it happens, and we were lucky it happened before we were out of the city. It's the one thing I find eye-roll worthy about modern vehicles (as I had always owned classics before my truck); in and old car, if it didn't run right, there was a problem. In a modern car, if it doesn't run right, there might be a problem, but it's also likely a sensor glitch (and you can be guaranteed they've put the damn thing in the hardest to reach place to change out). You may remember seeing some links from this talented lady already. She is a fantastic artist all round and has a particular knack for drawing footpaws of just about every type! Most recent example, Renamon feets - http://www.furaffinity.net/view/15320421/ ! She does big thick toes and meaty sole/toe pads on her work, and they're often seen from a variety of poses and view points. She's also very good at posing the toes in the most alluring ways - for example, check out this picture of the always beautiful Sera: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11247217/ . I've seen a LOT of pictures of Sera, and that remains one of my favourites for how she's got her left footpaw posed. LigerJazz often takes commission work and (obviously) does not mind paw-centric work. :) When I asked her if she would like to be a highlight, I got "Oh that sounds amazing, It would be an honor!" So go check out her gallery, and give her page a much-deserved watch!

Thank you all so much for making this list grow in popularity in the short while it's been public this year. I hope everyone's holidays were enjoyable. :) They were very busy for me, and all went very well except for a glitch with my truck (crankshaft sensor is dying) but eh, it happens, and we were lucky it happened before we were out of the city. It's the one thing I find eye-roll worthy about modern vehicles (as I had always owned classics before my truck); in and old car, if it didn't run right, there was a problem. In a modern car, if it doesn't run right, there might be a problem, but it's also likely a sensor glitch (and you can be guaranteed they've put the damn thing in the hardest to reach place to change out). Alright... on with the mail.

So, she's going to be opening up commissions and I wanna mention a couple paw-related things about that; 1) She draws great footpaws! So certainly worth considering on that basis. 2) She may consider doing some paw-centric YCH auctions, so keep an eye out for those should they potentially pop up. I would highly recommend watching her page and grabbing some work from her if you can swing it! I don't know if she's going to set up donations or anything - I think it's just going to be commissions to raise cash, so check her out!

While not totally into footpaws, the gorgeously painted and detailed art of Dream & Nightmare has certainly come to feature them a LOT of late! It's something he knows a lot of people are into and thus does take the time to flesh them out and put some great detail into them. It's resulted in a number of folks commissioning work that centres around them as well. It doesn't take long in looking through his large galleries to spot all that paw-friendly imagery! And some of them are just... wow. :3 Another wonderful perk about him is that he's such a genuinely nice artist as well - frequently offering replies and feedback, and happy to talk with his fans. In fact... when I contacted him to ask for permission to highlight him, he was not only thrilled, but offered a special hi-res image of one of his drawings for us! Happy Yule and Merry Christmas everyone! Yes... technically kinda smack in between the two holidays, BUT, close enough. :P I hope y'all have your stressful shopping and running around done - finally got the rest it done this weekend. On the upside though, Sunday was mighty impressive for my mate, who was out for a whole hour in a big store using just her cane. Far cry from a month ago when just 3 weeks after her surgery she was still using a fixed walker and only able to move around a bit before having to rest. So woo! Very glad she's more mobile for the holidays, and on a road to a full recovery by spring.

Eeee - it's Tani! Tani is the very amazing character of Werevixen, and quite often people who draw her don't get that her footpaws are BIG. A long time favourite artist of mine for how beautifully she does footpaws, and just gorgeous characters overall. Gravey draws some of the most beautiful female characters around and always has such a great spark of personality in her work! She's drawn a variety of footpaw styles and has plenty of pieces of work in her vast galleries that feature footpaws as a central theme. And I have to mention it... she also draws the most epic breasts EVER. *chuckles* Not usually as big a draw for me as footpaws, but there's just something about the way Gravey does them that is hugely attractive. Skillzzzz... she's got'em. She also does some insanely cute knitting and crocheting stuff too! Here's one for the ultimate Dawwwww moment. A very loving, cuddly pic with the character Loki and his mate Muddy. Here's that emotion I was talking about in the last paw-mail with VK's work; beautifully captured moment that's very sweet and loving, and I just LOVE that Loki's got his footpaws gently atop Muddy's with the right paw gripping. If you love feet, then you know the feeling of holding your mate's foot in yours (or vise versa) is SO nice. :)

While not personally into footpaws, Vallhund draws extremely nice ones, and takes time and effort to detail them out nicely, which clearly shows in any of her work. Vallhund does a variety of images from g-rated to full on yiffy stuff, however you will only ever see the paws themselves doing g-rated things (like... just being there). This is a personal preference on Vallhund's part, and one I felt is important to mention in the sense that artists all have different opinions and comfort levels on what part footpaws can/should play in people's kinks, so it's good as paw-lovers or pawsexuals to be mindful of an artist's comfort level on the subject! Anyway! I digress - Vallhund does some amazing work overall with some great looking characters, excellent lighting/shading work and just about any sort of backdrop. If interested in any commissions, info is on her page! Have a look through the gallery if you've not seen it before - you'll certainly enjoy the beautiful paw-work that's been done so far (and there is LOTS of it).

Here's a crazy talented and wonderful artist. I got to know VK just over a year ago, and was blown away by her work when I saw it. She has a thing for footpaws, so you will often see them in her work (and she does very lovely ones at that), but the art itself is just all round excellent. She has that unique gift of being able to put SO much emotion into a piece of art - even if it's just a simple sketch. To me, that's one of the most powerful talents an artist can have, because expression is everything. She did a picture of Zrell for me as a surprise gift which is just an amazing take on him (with nice feet at that). You'll definitely want to check out her gallery and keep an eye on her. :)

Well... that was a crazy weekend for me. I was on-call this weekend (happens ever 7 weeks), and while visiting CAThulu for the first time in a couple weeks, pager starts going off like crazy. Four PRI lines to the campus I work at had failed (started flapping) and I had to call in a trouble ticket. Tried to stick-handle it a bit from Cat's place hoping it'd be short but ended up having to go into work. Many, many calls with the provider later, I ended spending the whole night there with no resolution. Was relieved by another tech in the morning and spent Sunday trying to get some sleep, do a ton of chores and stuff. Bleh. And still feel all jet-laggy from the messed up sleep. Gettin' too old to do all-nighters now. :P

December!? Cripes... when did that happen? Well... this is a bit shorter paw-mail than usual 'cause I was having a heck of a time finding some pics! With the Thanksgiving weekend hitting the US along with numerous database maintenance runs on FA, things sure seemed to quiet down for submissions. Still, I have a few to share. :)
Hmm... should try to do a TMI part of this. So, let's see... I knew I liked footpaws/feet from the time I was 4 years old. How/when did you guys realize it? How long 'til you knew it wasn't just you? I didn't know folks liked feet until I was around 19. O_o Anyway!

Modem has been around for quite a while in the fandom (I recall his stuff from over a decade ago when he used a different alias). Footpaws have always been a big part of what he loves, and while they're not the sole (hur) focus of his art, they are often featured and there are many pics that are certainly paw-centric. He does amazing poses of splayed toes and draws footpaws in a variety of styles. If you haven't seen his galleries, they are VAST, and you'll be enjoying them quite a bit. :3 Quite often I show folks his work when I want to show a great example of a well-drawn plantigrade foot. He takes commissions and does great work for good prices too. Enjoy!

A young and super-talented artist in general, who also happens to draw spectacular footpaws! She draws a wide range of character types, and has great expressive faces and poses, and really puts some wonderful detail into the footpaws. While I have not personally commissioned her yet (though hope to), I have friends that have who have nothing but high praise for her. When asked about being the highlight for this mail, she said "Sure I don't mind at all ^^ <3".

Welcome to the TMI Tuesday mail! Ugh... I'd try to share some sorta TMI thing with you for each one, but I don't wanna scare anyone off. XD I do want to try and take a moment to introduce another idea for these - a "Fur In Need" section, for times when I run across a fur who really needs some help. A lovely artist who also happens to draw very nice paws was in a car accident a few days ago. She totalled her truck when some crazy dude just hard-stopped in front of her. She fractured her sternum and spent a couple days in the hospital, and is now trying to raise funds to help cover medical costs (sadly, in the US, so total lack-o-healthcare issue). Oh man... where to even start. About 14 years ago, Teaselbone was one of the first furs I knew, and certainly the first well known artist I knew. He was also the first fur I ever spoke too in real time, and one of the core inspirations for getting me started with drawing. I couldn't even draw a convincing stick figure before meeting Teasel. His help, encouragement and easy-going attitude made a world of difference. As far as paws go, he has been drawing them for longer than most furs have been in the fandom, and HOOOOO boy does he do nice ones! Whether it's a very simple cartoony character or an elaborate, shaded image, he can easily pull them off. His gallery will likely take you HOURS to go through, but you certainly won't be disappointed if you do. He frequently offers sketches for extremely reasonable prices, is crazy fast, and always fun to work with.

She survived, but is pretty banged up and home now from the hospital. His unique looking style and energetic characters alone are reason enough to have a look at his gallery - but there's two rather important other reasons for us as well; he draws really great footpaws, AND he likes footpaws. :D IT doesn't take long looking through his galleries to find that a lot of his pictures have nice paws in them, or are very paw-centric in nature. A note about Friday's Paw-Mail & contact info
Posted 11 years agoHey fuzzies. So, as you all hopefully noticed there is maintenance work and downtime scheduled for Friday on FA at 02:00 EST / 07:00 GMT. They're estimating a downtime of 6 to 8 hours, however past such efforts have taken FA down a lot longer than that.

TGIF Nov. 14th Paw-Mail! (Journal copy)

Friday! Hopefully a good week for everyone. My mate continues to improve, it's a many weeks/months recovery, so gains are small things that come over time. On the paw-front, I'm going to start getting the blessings of the "highlighted" artists to make sure they're okay with being portrayed as such. Most are, but I do know of some artists who draw amazing paws who prefer not to be known for it, and would not (as such) want to be highlighted. I certainly want to be mindful that, so before I potentially bother any, I'll make sure I get the OK (and I have for the ones today). ;)
On that note, I want to start with a very special artist highlight:
Tilobear <3Why special? Well, this is a farewell-to-artwork for Tilo; a very sweet lady who's done some great furry work, and happens to do wonderful paws as well. Tilo has Dystonia, which causes muscles to tense and stiffen, among other things, and this is making art (a life long passion of hers) nearly impossible to do. As a result, she is posting all of her stuff, finishing the last of her commission work, and saying good-bye to drawing. She posted about it here: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/6259889/

O_O Bwuh..... ss...so nice. Okay... so for those of you not on the first paw-mail, Tchai was the first high-lighted Artist, and stuff like this is exactly why! What I love about Tchai is that he's SO nice and when people comment about something like "Bet that looks amazing from the other side" - he'll often do it! Now here's a unique hybrid - cheetah and bunny! Sure results in some awesome footpaws - big shapely pads and toes, and great line work on the fur effects around them.

Kampfer tends to get himself into these sorts of situations a lot. He's not sure how. I think it has a lot to do with those super-soft pads of his and flaunting them around too much. ;)

While not specifically a paw-lover, Tojo draws very nice ones, often of dragons and lizards, her particular favourite thing to draw. Her work archive is HUGE, so if you haven't seen it before, oh my... get a coffee, have a seat and be ready to browse for quite a while! Good looking footpaws come up a LOT in her work, so I'm sure you'll find something you'll enjoy in it. :)
