-I know I should be well above it but god damn, Angelg's Torpedo tits bother me to no end.

-Thrudgelmir bolts out of the battlefield after bailing out Archibald. An R-Eins appear to support him as well which is most likely Echidna.

-Lamia's broken grammar makes for amusing reactions from the other characters.

-Excellen continues to be cute... too cute.

-Brooklyn apparently is piloting an MP WildSchwein, not a Huckbein Mk II M... which is so freaking stupid as the reason there was only one Wildshwein unit back during Divine Wars was because it was TO EXPENSIVE TO MASS PRODUCE. Even if this was following the Divine wars anime canon, then Brooklyn should still have the more far more powerful LION HEAD GRUNGUST TYPE 1.

-The pace has been changed a bit, the battlefield is brought to Chi You where Professor Anzai was excavating the Choukijin with Isurugi Heavy Industries, Archibald explains the Choukijin as legendary Super robots... and along with a shot of the RyuKuOh, we get a cameo of JaKubuOh. [fuck yes!]

-Brooklyn and Yuu's rivalry is being built up... it feels more natural here than in the games.

-EINSTS OUT OF MOTHERFUCKIN NOWHERE! And is shown in great numbers... Im talking Dynasty Warriors on Hard Mode kind of numbers here. And looks like they are being established as pretty powerful, being able to destroy a hill with their combined blasts. Excel starts feeling queasy as per the games.

-Ryu-Oh and Ku-Oh dont like it when their nap gets disturbed and proceeds to kick LEGENDARY amounts of ass. There were no survivors. No Einst ones anyway.

-huh... ultimately Lamia, Excell and Kyo really didnt do much in this ep.

The Infernal heroics of Hellboy needs no introduction, so I'll just talk a bit about the other half of this crossover.

"Beasts of Burden" is a comic series about household pets [they cant talk to people] engaging in the serious and sometime bloody work of investigating supernatural events in their town of Burden Hill. They start out just being at the wrong place at the wrong time, but it eventually becomes a calling for them to stop the paranormal in their quaint little neighborhood I just love the way that the characters are consistently portrayed and memorable that despite the number of the beasts in the story, you'd recognize a character just by the speech bubble. And the stories themselves are great as well which invokes genuine emotions from simple adoration of the beasts' pet personalities to sheer horror of the horrors they face day to day and even some tugs on your heart strings for some of the less fortunate of the beasts.

Its like a serious take on Courage the Cowardly Dog... except in the suburbs... and an entire coalition of pets banding together to deafeat the creepy things in nowhere-- I mean Burden Hill.

-The Ryuu-Kyo fight from the prologue was bullcrap.

I wouldn't mind if it was the evolved Einst form that beat SRX, or if Beowolf beat the R-1 soundly but really? An unscratched Alt beat SRX to a pulp? While Soulgain beat the evolved form? Really, Obari? You are relegating SRX to threat-measuring stick duty?

...that and that Shadow Mirror Universe didnt have an SRX. [EDIT] apparently they did... just no Trontium.

The OP sequence was awesome, but MAXON wasnt as good to me as BREAK OUT

SRX formation was awesome so I forgive you a little Oobari. I do hope that the OP indicative that Kusuha and Bullet/Arad and Seolla get some screentime. I wouldnt worry about the other peeps, there's still a second OP for them to include everyone.

-The federation city looks very high tech and chome-ey like the cities in Gravion.

They REALLY should give a proper name to the heroes of the battle of L5... it sounds very awkward whenever they are mentioned. And Shine's outfit is stylish and makes her believable as a sovereign of an independent nation. I approve.

-The fight scenes are pretty well done

The 3d has gone a long way from DW and meshes nicely with the drawn main units. Excell's attack is straight out of the game, and Im pretty sure we'll be seeing Kyo's sweet break trough sequence as attack animation in the next OG game.

-huh... 13 mins before the title card... odd. But I guess that's just because this is the first ep.

-Why is Bullet in an MP Mk II? It still isnt rolled out by this time, the new Aggresors are still testing it along with the Wilds. Carla sounds... off, or maybe its because this is the first time Ive heard her not being so bouncy. *THRUDGELMIR OUT OF FREAKIN' NOWEHERE!*

I like this I like this, Obari is taking more liberties with the timeline... he may just make OG2 fit satisfactorily within 26 eps.

-Role reversal! Angelg saves ATX this time around. o...kay... she has a face now under the plating. The torpedo tits dont seem that bad now... kinda makes it hot.

Overall, this first ep gives me was a good watch and fills me with great hope for the series.

I wasn't particularly blown away by the comic as written by Jeph Loeb way back when so I didnt have high expectations over this, and I think that helped in my enjoyment of this animated adaptation.

The late Michael Turner's art style has always been off to me [torsos! Torsos EVERYWHERE!] but I think it was adapted pretty well, some people say that it made Superman look too "pretty" but I can live with it, its Batman's look that bothered me [why the long face?] as well as Darkseid who doesn't nearly as intimidating as Turner drew him in the comic.

The voices are superb, Kevin Conroy returns as the quintessential animated Batman voice. The only weak link I found was Andre Braugher's performance as Darkseid whom I felt spoke too fast and too casual in portraying an old grizzled evil skyfather.

The story is fairly mediocre and serves only as excuse to cram as much fight scenes as they could. But to staff's credit, the fight scenes were very nicely done in terms of choreography and animation especially the ones that involved the female furies. And I liked the little touches that felt like a shout out to the DC series fight scenes such as when Darkseid blocks Superman's heat vision with his hand [a juxtaposition of their fight in the end of Superman: The animated series] or how Supergirl shot trough Darkseid's foot with her heat vision like what Superman did the JL episode "Twilight"

all in all, an alright watch, I'd put it under Red Hood, WW, and Crisis of Two Earths... a solid 3/5

Just came back from watching it.

I wasn't really blown away from it, It was an alright action flick but the characters just felt so flat. There was no real chemistry or much extended interaction between the Expendables even between Sly and Jason who were supposed to be close friends in the story. The villain was incredibly forgettable... actually ALL the characters were pretty forgettable. And plot? what plot? Its just Sly and the boys going in and getting shit done.

Action's decent though... I love Jason's Statham's knife fight scenes. Steve Austin vs Randy Couture wasn't as epic as I wanted to be though.

I really wished they went a higher age rating with ultraviolence, larger Michael Bay-esque explosions in this and exaggerated characters with witty one liners to be just a full blown mindless action flick.... instead of a half blown one. Overall I give this film a B-

Wakfu, for the uninitiated is a French animated show based on a fanstasy themed MMORPG of the same name. It is about a young boy, Yugo who discovers his powers to create portals and his quest to find his real parents. fairly standard premise, but the execution is well done. The characters are funny and memorable and the action is superb.

just take a look at this, the first scene of the first episode. The main villain "Nox" [whom I now dearly adore] going after "Grougaloragran."

...and the most interesting thing about this? It uses flash animation. It just shows that you can do wonders in any medium, even one that is usually regarded as a tool of mediocre TV animators whose usage is being more common as time goes on.

I was kind of disappointed by it.

Not a bad movie, far from it, it was great. But there was really nothing here that was done better in the first movie. That and I found the antagonist weak in terms of development. The final Whiplash/Crimson Dynamo armor didn't look as imposing as the Iron monger nor was the fight sequence as well done.
