I know that I'm not the only furry here in S.C., however, I haven't been able to find anyone else that is furry to hang out with. Ever since I graduated back in May I haven't had anyone to really hang out with that was around my Age (18-20) Most of the people that graduated with me moved just as I did. I'm in the Greenwood and Ninety Six area if anyone is interested. I'm un-aware of any Cons that take place in this state and if there is a con that takes place annually I'd love to be informed of where and when it takes place. I heard about a Caravan up in North Carolina, {Which is still too far for me} that involves traveling to Tennessee to attend a con and party all night! : ) Leaves me to wonder if there I any sub-groups of any kind that does the same for us Southern Furs.
Of course you know I'd appreciate any information that anyone can give me in regards to Furs in the Carolinas.

I'm simply furry because, (I too) find anthro-morphical animals unique and the fact that you can create your own had me in "Awe" when I first learned about the fandom. However, I am not here to find friends or become friends with anyone; whatever happens, happens. As for the NSFW images that furries love to talk about and fap to, I'm not among these individuals. I appreciate the art and work that is behind it. It's very hard to explain and even believe for most; (don't get me wrong now) I DO NOT JUDGE OTHERS FOR DOING SO! What they do and I do is nobody's business, if they wanna share their personal fantasies among strangers online, THAT IS THERE BUSINESS and I can respect that. What happens behind closed doors usually stays behind close doors with all due respect.
When it comes to fur-suiting I have no fascination to do so. Perhaps me and my boyfriend (Soon to be Engaged) will try it for shits and giggles but it's not the main attraction for me, nor is being a child at heart, or being un-healthily positive. I'm here because of the concept and creativity. I love all forms of art, from simple poetry to elaborate animations.
Of course we can't forget the number one reason I'm in the fandom; It's a society of Homosexual accepting people. Something I'd like to see the entire world practice but I don't see a Martin Luther King speaking out for us Fags anytime soon.
