Whoa! Hello!
So I want to start doing commissions again. My current job is terrible and I'm barely above min. wage and I would like to make more money doing something that I actually enjoy. Not only to pay bills, but to commission and support other artists!

My plan is to take only 1 or 2 commission spots at a time, hopefully weekly, maybe more if it's smaller things. Maybe even do some streams if I can figure out a good system for that. I'll post an updated commission guide this week as well. So be on the look out for that.

As for the people who commissioned me for helping raise money for my vet bills, I have not forgotten. I'm sorry it has taken so long, but I hope to finish them up in a more timely manner. I have sketched those up and will be sending an e-mail out tomorrow! e-mails have been sent, if you did not get one, please let me know!!

It appears I'll be drawing a bunch of neopets for my daily digital drawings! I'm excited!! So now is the time to put in some requests!

It can be your favorite neopet, painted neopets, petpets, items, other characters, your own neopet (with link/description/ref/etc), anything neopet related basically!

Hey! I was thinking. Would any of you be interested if I offered high quality scans of my sketchbooks (starting with sb70) via gumroad or something similar? Probably for like $2.50.

Or I was thinking of doing a physical collection of my favorite pictures from whatever sketchbook that I would sell online or at cons. Only like 10 pages, so not the entire sketchbook. That would be more like $5.


How many of you would be interested in this?

This doesn’t mean I will stop uploading my sketchbooks to my tumblr/website. It just means you could get a higher quality, non watermarked image to look at if you’d like.

I just wanted to say hi and thanks to all the recent watchers! I apparently got a small influx of watchers after posting about Caddy and after TFF.

How is everyone doing today? Tell me something good that's happening in your life right now!

All in all I had a good time at this con! Met some really great people, saw lots of friends, and had fun chilling and drawing. I'll try to scan and post some of the art I got and some of the doodles I did for people.

That being said, I still do not plan on posting full images to this site. But going to conventions always makes me want to be more involved in the fandom again, rather than hiding quietly on my twitter or tumblr. I do want to be more social but it is very hard for me. I also have a back log of some 10,000+ submission on all art-sites I'm on that I should probably go through.



Also, I just wanted to let everyone know that I was planning on going to TFF before all the unfortunate stuff with my dog. None of the money raised to help Caddy's vet bills were spent on this trip. I had originally cancelled my plans on going when we found out she was sick, but once she passed I was able to go and I really needed to be around friends.

Last night we got a call from the vet at around midnight saying that she had taken a turn for the worse. She wasn't going to make it. We made the hard decision to put her to sleep.

I want to thank everyone who donated or is getting a NYOP commission from me. It means the world to me that people reached out to try to help my baby.
I am not accepting anymore commissions, but if you still wish to donate, my paypal is thetooiebird@gmail.com. We are still about $1,000 short of my goal to pay for all her bills.

As for the commissions, I hope you all understand that it may take me a little while longer to complete them now. I will be aiming for next weekend when I have some free time from work.



Caddy, you were the best dog I could have asked for. I love you and miss you so much. I'm sorry we couldn't make you better.

So basically I need to raise about $2500 for vet bills.

Long story short, my dog Caddy had a seizure a few days ago which turned into several trips to the vet trying to figure out what caused it. Well, it turns out she has chronic ehrlichia and she's not doing too good. She has a low white and red blood cell count, and today her platelet count was basically at 0 (which is really, really bad and she could die if she starts bleeding), among other things. If she doesn't get better in the next two days she's going to need to get a plasma transfusion and even then there is a possibility it's not going to help all that much.

I'm back from MFF! And other than Saturday night/early Sunday morning I had a lot of fun. I'm not going to go into too many details here, that will be a LJ post, haha.

I didn't do as well as I had hoped to in the Dealer's Den. But I do have some new ideas for my table for future cons. And I met and hung out with a lot of really awesome people, it was so fun! I can't wait for next year!

I managed to break my glasses at work today. (https://twitter.com/tooies_nest/sta.....68120087592960 that's not blood in the picture, it's paint. I didn't notice it when i was taking the pic because I was too focused on my glasses ahahahaha..) I'm trying to get new glasses and while I'm currently having some difficulty because it's been a few years since I've gotten my last eye exam and I don't have insurance, it looks like it's going to cost $300+ for new ones.

I see so many young (like 11-14 year olds) artists on Instagram. It's awesome and wonderful how talented they all are. Also, it's amusing to see how they all interact with more popular artists. ahahaha

I finally got a fancy new tablet, which means I'll be taking on digital commissions once again! Not only that, but they'll be a little cheaper than my current prices! (i'll post another journal with more concrete details).
I'm giving myself a month to get used to this tablet and comfortable doing digital stuff and then we'll see where I'm at. But oh man, am I excited to do stuff!

I'll be picking back up my daily pokemon challenge (starting over completely/redoing the older ones/planning them out better) to teach me how to use paint tool sai and manga studio.

Also, expect lots of neopet doodles :3

Really quick recap!
Friday: Got in late Friday because both Joe and I had work. Sadly the den had closed by then. We ate dinner and found a table to draw at in the lobby area for a while until we went hang with Onna, Sam, Mitti and whoever else was in the room (sorry I'm so bad at names D:).

Saturday: I managed to snag an open table in the dealers den (!!!!) so I'm really happy I managed that. Didn't have the best set up but it was pretty short notice. Poey had to leave early so I was by myself for the remainder of the day. Had a nice dinner with Maly and Brighton, Mitty, Ian Jay and Nero and went home after that.

Sunday: Got stuck in traffic so was a little late to the den but had a good day overall. Lots of fun commissions! Joe left early again but not as early as yesterday. Had dinner with Wolf Nymph and her friend (sorry I don't remember you name!) Chilled in the hotel atrium and doodled with some people I hadn't met before. Joe came back with Ruby (our hedgie) and everyone loved seeing her.


All in all RMFC was better than the last few times I went, probably because I was in the den. And I got to see lots of people I hadn't seen in a while and met a lot of cool people as well!! Also, I guess I should mention I'm now living in Colorado so if anyone I met is also from Colo, please, I want to hang out with you! :V

Yesterday was my birthday. Yaaaaaay!!

Also, I will be at RMFC again this year. Just stopping by for at least a day like I have in years past. Next year though, I do plan on getting a dealer's table :3
But for this year, I just want to chill and doodle with people. Who knows, I might even do a few trades!

This doesn't have anything to do with me being angry about the recent downtime of FA. I could have honestly cared less about it. I hadn't checked in for a few days before that. I didn't lose any business since I don't use notes or anything. And I hardly upload here anymore anyways.

I've been thinking about leaving for a while. While this is where I have the most followers, it's still pretty quiet. I've drifted away from the site, maybe checking it like once a week. And like I said, I don't upload or comment much anymore. Another reason is because I honestly don't draw/look at much of the porn. And because I don't draw it, I feel like my art is just wasting space on the site. I mean, seriously, most people on this site are here to look at adult work and I don't really do that.. I dunno. It's time for me to move on.

MFF was pretty awesome! Thanks to everyone who stopped by my table to buy/commission something from me or just to chat! I had a really fun time and made enough to cover my dog's tail amputation surgery at least!

Sorry if you stopped by my table right before it closed Friday and I was acting really out of it, I thought I had lost all my money and couldn't find it (but I did find it thank god)
Also, if you got a commission from me, could you please scan it for me? I think I got photos of most everything, but I'd love to post a nice scan in my gallery.

Last week, my dog Chopper got his tail sliced open somehow and had to get stitches. A few days later he chewed off his bandages, got one of the stitches out and I had to take him back to get it re-wrapped. I still have to go back to get the stitches removed, and by the end of this I think everything will total around $500 or more (as I'm already up to $450).

Hey guys! I created an art related twitter a while ago. So please follow me there for art updates instead of my regular one (which will soon be private again and is really just me rambling). I'm going to be re-opening for commissions in October. I'll have an updated TOS, a new commission price guide, and I hope to fully utilize google docs and all that fun stuff to stay organized and make it easier for everyone.
