Tora og Dax vandrer varsomt inn i landsbyen, mørk stemming legger seg over dem ettervært de sakte går inn i baren og møter på bråk.
de hører mye banning.
'' du stjal mine penger, slave avskum! gi dem tilbake!' sier en svart høy alv med store muskler.
en svart kappe flyr over rommet og stiller seg foran den ynklinge husky'en som har blitt banket opp av alvene, '' unnskyld for at min partners oppførsel, ta mine penger istedet... '' sier en dyp kvinnlig stemme, hun bukker og rekker ut en pung med penger.
Tora og Dax ser på dem, Dax snøfter litt.
den ihjel slåtte grå husky'n reiser seg opp og lyser av glede når hun ser Tora, hun løper bort og klamrer seg fast til leggen hennes. '' u-unnskyld meg... men hvem er de?'' spør Tora høflig.
'' j-j-jeg er Rei! jeg kommer fra østen... Hiraki city. slave bundet av Naraku! u-unnskyld min oppførsel... '' sukker hun.
den mystiske andre personen snur seg sakte mot Tora og Dax. '' jeg er Wolf.. '' sier hun og bukker dypt, '' jeg reiser med Rei... og de må være Tora... '' hun tar av seg hetten og viser seg og være samme rase.
Tora blir glad. '' Wolf.. godt å se deg her... men hva gjør dere her? '' hun går bort og setter seg ned ved et bord.
'' mye å forklare men, jeg fant Rei i Hiraki city, jeg tok henne til meg siden hun har vist blod fra min stamme... '' sukker Wolf og setter seg ned ved Tora.
'' Hiraki? men ... urk... jeg viste det. noe lumsk kommer til å skje.. '' sier Dax, han ser på Rei, Rei ser tilbake på.
Tora reiser seg opp plutselig og stabber en tyv i magen. '' ingen nåde! får tyver! '' knurrer hun dypt.
vakter stormer inn og ser Tora, drepte en tyv. '' du er under arrest for å drept en borger... '' sier en av vaktene. '' jeg er anklaget over at en borger stjal pengene mine! hvorfor grep dere ikke de alvene for å slå ihjel en av mine!? '' roper Tora ut og knurrer enda mer.
Dax ser Tora er i fare og tar fram buen sin. '' ta det rolig... vi skal hjelp deg... Tora! dukk! '' sier Dax og skyter ut 3 piler, treffer 3 av de 6 vaktene.
Rei og Wolf blir med og angriper vaktene.
Tora skyter ut virvel som får støv til å forvirre alle rundt seg, '' kom dere i sikkerhet! '' roper hun.
Dax og de andre løper med Tora ut av byen, ut i sump-skogen.

langt inne i den mørke delen av skogen under de gigantiske, gamle edle trær av slagmarken til kontinentet 'The Dark Forest' sitter Tora-chan fredelig og drikker vann fra en foss som renner den i dypet av en svær sprekk av røtter og lavastein, Dax holder varsomt vakt fra store grener av de edle trærene, det høres ulende vind og det lukter svovel og fuktig myr. Tora-chan tar et dypt puste drag og ser opp til Dax gir ham et hint om å gå videre, Dax hopper ned, lander elegant på to , smiler til Tora-chan og begynner å gå videre.
etter en stund kommer de til en bru som går igjennom et juv, de kan ikke se andre siden bare tåke å se. Tora-chan vifter litt med halen sin og ser beskymringsfult på de råttende plankene som skal holde opp bruen.
Dax snuser i luften etter finder og går frem til bruen, trår på dem, de knirker og knaker. Tora-chan tar tak i Dax han holdt på å dette ned. han gisper etter luft og sier : ' ah takk Tora.. ' smiler varmende til henne.

1 time etter å ordnet bruen, tar de seg igjennom den tykke varme tåken, som ligger truende over brua og juvet.
de kommer frem til en landsby, de blir ikke særlig tatt godt i mot. meneksker, tauren og alver. menesker har aldri likt ' meneskeligne dyr ' , de har faktisk slaktet dem for fot, men likevel inviterer dem de til sin by siden de har større handel av ' hunter ' og ' kriger ' talenter enn et vanlig menekse har.
