Goldenwolf has a werewolf pin... on KickStarter
Posted 3 years agoSo,
Goldenwolf has a KickStarter right now for some cool wolf pins.
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/48868033/
They're kinda like... Werewolf: the Apocalypse meets My Little Pony.
They'd be really cool to come up with pre-generated characters for in a game, then hand out the pins of those characters to the players.
Like... can you imagine getting kids into gaming with that sorta cool concept?
Anyways, as a stretch goal, the next pin is a WERWUFFIE pin! It's super cute (and has glow-in-the-dark eyes and moon!)
But, it's only going to last a few more days, so... get in on it!

Looking for a Colorist
Posted 4 years agoI'm looking for a digital colorist who has a quality and style of the late 90s, and early 2000s comic book covers to color my weretiger image penciled by Goldie.
I have the single image already inked and I've even pre-separated layers in case that helps. I'd like it to look like a comic book cover.
If anyone has suggestions of artists who are taking commissions, feel free to respond here, or PM me too.

Magma Studio (multiple artists at once!)
Posted 5 years agohttps://app.magmastudio.io/
There's a NEW, FREE drawing program that is browser-based that allows multiple artists at once, pressure-sensitivity, multiple layers, and more!
Heck, you can even flip your Wacom pen around and use the eraser!
Who's using this, and what are your thoughts so far?

Notifications Missing?!
Posted 5 years agoDid anyone else just lose days/weeks/months of Watches/Submission Comments/Favorites?
Thankfully all of my uploads still seem fine, but all "newer" notifications seem to be gone from my Notifications page.
While it's only a vanity thing to me, others may have the same issue and those comments may have been more important (YCH bids, responses, etc.)
All of the comments still seem to be on the artwork/posts too, but those notifications that they were made are missing for me.

Fix for Intuos 2 on Phothsop CC
Posted 5 years agoSo, I couldn't get my old Intuos 2 to work on Photoshop CC for my Windows PC.
I found myself having to go back to my old Photoshop CS5 when I wanted to use my tablet.
I finally found a solution, and it worked for me! Woot!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-cCI7WB-ttw
1) Open Windows Explorer
2) In the URL bar, type "%appdata%"
This takes you to the AppData folder on your PC
3) Go to: Adobe > Adobe Photoshop CC 2019 > Adobe Photoshop CC 2019 Settings
4) Create a new Text document
5) Label the new Text Document "PSUserConfig.txt"
6) Type "UseSystemStylus 0" into the new text document
7) Save the text document.
Now it works great. :)

Drawpile ... Anyone still use it? Alternatives?
Posted 5 years agoSooo, with so many artists out there all stuck at home, I was wondering who might be up for some collaborative drawing sometime.
I re-discovered Drawpile, which is a free collaborative drawing program and so I downloaded it and I'm thinking about hosting, or joining in on some drawing sometime.
Are there other collaborative drawing programs out there that others use?

My Muse visited me briefly
Posted 6 years agoYou may notice that I have uploaded a few new sketches.
I was flying back from a trip to England and I suddenly was struck by some inspiration to draw... so I've uploaded a few of the more decent sketches I came up with.

Waiting on commissions...
Posted 7 years agoI'm in that tough spot where I have a few commissions being done for me by some fantastic artists... but I have to wait. XD
One of them was placed in May of 2017, and I'm hoping that my spot is coming up soon. :)
Another is from an artist who is a bit reclusive and goes dark for 6 months at a time and I finally heard back recently, so I'm hoping to have the finished piece before the end of 2018.
The final one was a bit of a quick commission from another great artist, and though I have paid, and they said they had a spot for me, I never actually asked when they'd get to my piece, soooo... that could be another wait. XD
Anyways... I'm hoping to have some very nice sketches to show soon, but in the meantime... I must wait as patiently as I can. :)

Uploading old work, maybe some new stuff soon
Posted 7 years agoI recently brought up my Wife (desktop PC) from the basement, which I haven't used in years. I've been using my laptop for a while.
Well, it has a lot of my old files on it, and since my FA has been pretty dead for a while, I thought I'd share some of my older works (back when I was still drawing regularly) that I scanned years ago and share them.
Meanwhile, I have been sketching and doing some other stuff again, but nothing really worth showing just yet--just graphic design work and the occasional sketch for now. I may upload what I did, but not all of it is "furry" related.
So, there will be some activity here again.

AIM ending December 15th (AOL Instant Messenger)
Posted 8 years agoOn December 15, 2017, AOL Instant Messenger will be terminated.
Saved logs and contact lists likely will no longer be available on, or after the 15th, so if you have any interest in saving anything, or sending out last messages/contacts, now is your chance.
While many accounts don't accept offline messages, I decided that I'd at least shoot out a "goodbye, and good luck" to people of my past with a final message.

Muse still dead
Posted 8 years agoI still can't manage to finish any pieces, or get past the preliminary sketch phase.
It's like everything just evaporates as I keep working the graphite.
So I've nothing to show. :-/
Maybe one day I will, but until then... I'm just a watcher here. :(

Maybe, possibly, doing a commission piece again
Posted 9 years agoI haven't really done anything finished in a very long time, but since the holidays are coming up, and that means unpaid time-off, I may have to seriously look into doing a piece or two again to pay bills.
Would there be anyone interested?
On a side-note, I could also try to do digital clean-up if folks have scannable pieces that you'd like made better for viewing.
If anyone is interested in that, throw me a message and I can try to come up with something to see if we can work something out. :)
I often take pencil work and turn it into darker, clean artwork that can be presented better.
(This is a piece for a friend that was drawn by Steve Prescott. It was drawn with 4H pencil and was able to darken and clean it up. http://imageshack.com/a/img923/1116/z6weuV.jpg )
*NOTE: I think I completed the previous works I owed folks. If not, please remind me. It's been so long. :-/

By Night Studios - Werewolf: the Apocalypse for LARP is out*
Posted 9 years agoFor folks who backed the By Night Studios Mind's Eye Theater version of Werewolf: the Apocalypse, the first sign of the Apocalypse has arrived because WE GOT THE PDF!
This is sort of a... re-imagining of W:tA that takes place today, about 12 or so years after some cataclysmic events happened that brought the Garou Nation nearly to an end. Some things have changed in the meantime, others have been retconned, and others... have been redesigned to fit into the new Mind's Eye Theater LARP system/setting that By Night Studios has created.
I just got it today, and it'll take me time to get through all 760 pages, but it'll be available to the public (as a PDF) sometime next week (10/27?), and the hardcovers will be available... in a while.

Gen Con 2016 is almost here
Posted 9 years agoSo, nearly-impromptu, I decided to go to Gen Con.
I'll be arriving Wednesday night and returning Sunday.
I'l likely be hanging around the artists and exhibit hall, but I'll be looking to hang out with folks too, maybe even do some drawing with artists if I can find some to do such with.
I hope to do some commissioning of artwork while I'm there too (some fridnds' LARP characters to be drawn.)
If I wind up with any new pieces I've drawn, I'll certainly be posting them here. :)

Looking to commission fantasy eagle illustration piece
Posted 9 years agoUp front, I'm looking for a higher caliber of artist/style to commission for this piece.
I want to have an illustration done of a fictional eagle for some friends.
The creature is known as the "Blood Eagle", a giant bird the size of a roc.
Based on a Nordic eagle (White-tailed?) as a base, the bird is a bright red color body, black tips on the wing and tail feathers. The tail is quite long. The feet and beak are black and very menacing. The beak has barbs on it.
Beyond that, I'm more than willing to let the artist have some creative freedoms in making it look/feel a bit more menacing and monstrous as a flying creature that can pick up a horse.
This is the symbol of a group of viking/biker Dwarves in a fantasy game we play and up until now they've used a common Norse raven image, but I want to make something cooler, and first... I need a unique bird to base the new emblem off of.
So, if you or someone you know does great avian/nature illustration work, I'm looking to commission one for this piece. Let me know if you have suggestions.
Again, up front I don't mean to be rude, but I'm looking for a certain illustrative style and skill on this piece, so even though there are lots of folks out there who do great work at other skill levels, this one is a bit particular because of this project.

Getting a little art mojo back
Posted 9 years agoI was at Great Lakes Fur Con this past weekend where I did a little bit of drawing.

http://www.furaffinity.net/view/20185488/ (mock-up grayscale badges)
I'm starting to feel a little bit like maybe I can get back into drawing. I'm going to try to ease into it... so maybe there will be more life on this account in the near future.

Pugmire RPG KickStarter Video is out!
Posted 9 years agoSo, Onyx Path Publishing is going to be releasing a new Tabletop RPG this year called Pugmire.
It's basically a fantasy setting with anthropomorphic dogs, cats, birds, and badgers in a world with monsters, magic, and wonders.
The game is designed for almost all ages--a game to introduce kids to gaming, as well as provide a great world for adults to play as well. It's done really well at gaming conventions where people have played.
The setting is "A very long time in the future" after man has (for unknown reasons) made dogs, cats, and other animals into self-aware, walking, talking people. Then (also for unknown reasons), mankind disappeared. It's been a very long time since Man left, and these anthro-animals have created civilizations. Their "memory" of man is that akin to Gods; they raised them from simple animals, gave them minds and civilization, then left them with rules to live by and to forge their own destiny. There is Magic in the world, and there are also strange wonders left behind by man in the forms of relics that seem magical and mysterious to them (how else would a medieval person describe a robot but as a walking suit of armor that bleeds fire and lightning? Likewise, imagine future technology a thousand years from now and how mysterious THAT would be to describe to similar individuals!)
For more info, check out their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/PugmireRPG/
Or their page on Onyx Path Publishing's site: http://theonyxpath.com/category/worlds/pugmire/
(I'm not affiliated with Pug Steady, or Onyx Path Publishing. I'm just spreading the word because I think folks here might enjoy it!)

Spanish Werewolf: the Apocalypse 20th Anniversary Edition!
Posted 10 years agohttp://www.nosolorol.com/hombrelobo
ENDS JUNE 8th!
There are only a few days left to partake in the crowd-funding/pre-order of the Spanish version of the Werewolf: the Apocalypse 20th Anniversary Edition!
If you know Spanish-reading friends who are into werewolves, Classic World of Darkness, or if you're a WoD collector and want something more unique, check this out!
It's being produced in Europe, but (almost) anyone can participate and have it shipped!
(I live in the US. I pledged for the Spanish V20 and got a bunch of cool stuff that came with it.)
You can do anything from just getting the minimum, to getting one of the metal-clad-cover editions.
Personally, I went for the 85 Euro "Fostern" pledge, and had to add 15 Euros for cheap shipping (and there will be a VAT tax, I'm guessing, depending on the category of product they're sending it as--sometimes "books" are excluded.)
Anyways, please share this around with your friends who read/speak Spanish, like werewolves, Classic World of Darkness, Werewolf: the Apocalypse, and Ron Spencer (cuz he's just awesome!)

New car, new cash crunch. May start taking commissions again
Posted 11 years agoWell, I had to buy a new car (2009 Pontiac Vibe) and now my budget is SUPER tight... I may have no other choice than to try to start taking a few commissions for extra $.
If anyone's interested, let me know. Maybe the necessity will get my juices flowing again.

Great Lakes Fur Con
Posted 11 years agoHoly crap... I actually drew some stuff today at GLFC! (Great Lakes Fur Con) Who'd have thunk it?
I did a spiffy sketch for
iarann in his sketch book, and a large full-color bade for
keida (who basically "forced" me into doing something, and who was kind enough to add a little tip $ when I decided to go bigger than expected on the badge too... I think it's something like 6"x8" when it was done.)
I did a few not-so-terrible sketches for myself that may see the light of the web.
Over-all, it has been more drawing than I think I've done in a year, or more... not bad. Hopefully my Muse doesn't poof on me again after having done this. :-/

Note: If you rage quit, your message about it goes with you.
Posted 12 years agoSeriously... after FA came back up, I think I've noticed at least one, but maybe more, folks who's submissions are deleted, comments deleted, and posts deleted... which makes me think that someone's account went kaput. There were also some Journals that went *poof* as well.
When you delete your account, or clear it out (including your journals), your message about why you're leaving, and any grievances go with you... so you just look like an ass (if anyone can even figure out WHO it was that left, because it doesn't say who's stuff it was that was deleted.)
So, if you leave, at least leave a single Journal that you're leaving so that there's some clue as to what happened, or so that you're even somewhat missed.

W20 Changing Breeds Deluxe KickStarter 11AM EDT on June 25th
Posted 12 years agoThat's right, folks. The White Wolf, Onyx Path Publishing KickStarter for the Deluxe Edition of the W20 Changing Breeds book is going to begin at 11am on Tuesday, June 25th.
The book so far is at 220 pages of information about the surviving and lost Changing Breeds in the Werewolf: the Apocalypse game line. The book brings the Changing Breeds in line with Werewolf: the Apocalypse 20th Anniversary Edition setting and rules.
You can search KickStarter if you'd like, or keep an eye open on the Onyx Path Facebook and Twitter accounts if you'd like a direct link.
They have not released what any of the pledge tiers are, but they could include anything from extended chapters, to having your character's name, or your own likeness used in an upcoming book (rule book, or novel), enhancements to the books, personalized character sheets, or outright commissioned drawings from W:tA artists, and more.
Many of the "personalized" pledge tiers are limited, so if anything like that interests you, get on fast and pledge quickly!
For those not interested in spending $50-ish bucks on a Deluxe cover edition of the book, you will be able to wait a few months for the PDF/Print-on-Demand version which will be out anyways. This KickStarter is only for the Deluxe Edition (and the goodies that come along with the stretch goals, and any of the cool stuff you can get with the pledge tiers and add-ons.)
Have any questions? I'll try to help answer them, or direct you to where you might find the answers. :)
