It's been a short while, thanks to holidays and computer troubles and all that. So I got quite a sizeable bunch of welcomes to give!

Yeah, I'm down with the kids and all that.

It's Saturday the first of August and we're coming to you live from the BBC Television Centre in London, England for the unveiling of the fourth edition of the Generic Redesign of Everything that is You machine, better known as Alexander Amadeus Grey to the loving masses. We have a large crowd here tonight, as it's just mere minutes until the new Grey shall appear...

Well okay, after the holiday, computer failure and general crappy drawingness, Grey 4G isn't actually ready. Bet ya didn't think you'd hear THAT after two months of going on about it!

If you didn't get the memo, I decided to stay being a bat (dragons suck) and am only changing some aspects of the character that I think could be improved. Some of you may be pleasantly surprised - conversely, you may not.

* Longer tongue, reaching up to a foot in length ('cause bats are like that);
* A vaguely altered colour scheme and belly colour;
* More belly to have the colour;
* Relocation of wings to the back of the arms, they no longer stretch down and join with the side of the body;
* Taller, but not by much;
* And the pomme de terre of the reformation, the replacement of the stubby little batty tail with that of a fox.

Just maybe someone went "HOLY MACARONI CHEESE" on that last one, or just did after reading this. Yes, I'm doing away with that stubby little tail of a thing that has graced my rear-end for the last 13 months.

You see, the stubby little tail that all bats have was - out of everything - the one thing I didn't much like about batkind was the tail. In the spirit of things I decided to keep it for the third incarnation, but now I've decided to do away with it and get some tail action going!

But why a fox? Well, aside from fruit bats being called flying foxes, it also provides some link back to the folfy times of the second generation; and is further helped by the one furry accessory I actually have being a grey fox tail. It's a win-win situation!

I have my laptop back, it cost £130 to repair and they didn't back everything up properly! :D

Technically you're allowed to ask me anything you want at anytime, I don't tend to keep secrets about anything except life-or-death matters anyway.

Meanwhile, I still haven't got my laptop back. Either this afternoon or tomorrow morning now... at which point they'd have had it for nearly a whole week.

Scotland was a rip-off, it was exactly like England only involved a 400 mile journey.

I spent a bit of time going through The Ballad of Alexander Grey and sorted out all those typos and bits that sounded funny and whatwhat. So yeah, it's all pretty now. :3

Also, I'll be gone from tonight (in Great British time) until sometime on Tuesday, likely Tuesday afternoon or evening. I'll be eating haggis, porridge and deep-fried Mars bars up in Elgin, Scotland for a few days.

(Random trivia: The doctor who founded the hospital in Elgin was Dr Alexander Gray. How about that!)

Yeah, I did get a tablet a week ago and such, and since then I've hardly used it. So, who wants to do some OCing? It pretty much forces me to use the tablet, and that's what I wanna do, so yeah, go ahead, ask and such.

Well, seeing as the dragon thing ain't going ahead, but I still like changing species (dudes, I'm into transformation just as much as you're probably into fat/inflation, stop being a fatty and maybe I'll stop transforming.)

So, instead, I'm just gonna make the character transform temporarily much more often. The default form shall be a bat, but different forms shall become much more prominent in art and roleplay and whatnot.

They'll all be linked by three common elements, which will be the long black hair, the grey colouration, and the goggles. In addition they may also have other elements which are yet to be confirmed, most likely some manner of clothing (where applicable) or gadgetry.

From here on in the "eras" or "generations" of previous times shall herein be referred to as the "forms" -- at least in official Grey documentation.

Stuff changing species, I think I'm gonna stay a bat. They're less cliché, and unlike anything else in the world, I'm quite happy with it.

So go me. Still gonna be making character tweaks and such, but he's sure as hell staying grey!

I'm trying to be a better person, I'm gonna be making some changes to the stuff I do and behave and whatnot.

* First, I'm gonna try and get into games somewhat, the lack of interest in gaming things has lead me to be a generally dull and uninterested. Well, wonder how fast I'll be able to catch up on 17 years of not playing gamethings. As part of this, I'm now on Steam, cause that can only help I guess. Profile here

* I'm gonna get a job... hopefully. The economic climate makes such things kinda uncertain.

* I aim to try and be more sociable, which would likely include adding s'more folks to my list and trying to restart relations with those I haven't talked to in a while.

* More artifartness, starting from next month when I finally get a replacement for my suckbucket of a tablet. I could also use a new scanner, but that'll have to wait, I guess.

* And so on and so forth.
