Background
Sanuru was kidnapped at a young age and never knew her parents. Her childhood was brutal and cold, as she was trained under harsh conditions in a secret clan to become an assassin. She grew up alongside other abducted children, all molded through daily brutal training sessions. Emotions were seen as a weakness, which led Sanuru to deeply suppress her feelings.
She discovered her magical abilities during training and immediately began to explore and refine them intensively. This made her one of the most dangerous members of the clan. Her talent was tested in the hardest way when she had to pass her final exam: a fight to the death against her closest comrade. With a heavy heart, she defeated him and was officially accepted as an assassin of the clan.
During one of her first missions, Sanuru found a dragon's egg. She discovered it in a cave while hiding from enemies. She managed to keep the egg secret from the clan and raised the dragon that hatched from it in secret. She named him "Shadow," as he followed her like a shadow on her missions and supported her. Shadow became her closest ally and gave her a sense of belonging she had never known before.
Sanuru's loyalty, however, belonged to the leader of the clan, known only as "Father." He tasked her with a special mission: to infiltrate the Guild of Midnight and search for powerful mages who could be useful for the clan's dark plans. Additionally, she was to infiltrate the royal palace and gather intelligence.
In the Guild of Midnight, Sanuru proved her extraordinary abilities and was promoted to Shadow Rider faster than anyone else in the guild's history. Through this position, she met Remus Blacktip, the captain of the royal guard, whom she initially manipulated to gain access to the castle. What she didn’t foresee was falling in love with him, which turned her entire life upside down and made her question her loyalties.
