A lot of -THINGS- have happened in my life recently, and I'll be moving out here in the next few months, which is both exciting and stress-inducing

Small batch for now, just wanted to get SOMETHING out there before the end of the year... Hopefully it'll be the start to a great post-pocalypse so I can finally clean out these dang folders, lmao
Uhhhh, yeah, that's about it! MFF was grand, Chrimmas was stressful but worked out, and cautiously optimistic to some big changes happening in my life soon, so stay tuned to that, I guess!

If you're only here for the art stuff, scroll down to the bottom... It's okay, I understand my life is boring to most of y'all... :^)
Post-Con Report: First off, TFF 2022 wasssss... Something. Probably my worst con to date to be frank, but that doesn't mean it was necessarily -bad- per say. Was it great to see peeps whom I hadn't seen since 2020? Absolutely! But boy howdy the new venue leaves little to be desired, and the organization and preparation on the staff's part was frankly poor. Of course, they were understaffed, and with some adjustments made they can turn it around next year... But lord the hotel itself is just awful. Oh man, you're in the north tower but your friend is holding a room party in the central tower? Good luck getting there in less than half an hour due to insane lines and no other skybridges connecting the floors except on the ground level... Oh yeah, no party floor btw... SO YEAH, wasn't as grand as I was hoping it to be, buuuuuuut, talons crossed it's improved for next year!
Work: BEEN A DRAG, lordy... Been working 50-55+ hour weeks for a little over a month now and it's draining my soul, haha. And considering summer is our busiest time of the year, who knows when things will go back to normal... >v>;
School: LOL I FINISHED THIS ALREADY WHY AM I EVEN INCLUDING IT :^)
Computer Problems: Oh man, do I have a story for y'all... About a month ago my PC blue screened as I was shutting 'er down for the night... I was already midway to my bed so I didn't bother to read the error message (I had previously gotten blue-screens like once a week, I just attributed it to the chaos that was running your system off of a SSD. HOWEVER, I guess this blue screen actually mattered, because the next morning when I booted up, I suddenly had no connection to my network... Or any network for that matter. The network adapter just... Didn't work anymore. After trying various troubleshoots, I decided it was probably better to just reinstall Windows. SO, I went through the procedures, chose the "keep personal files" option and then let it run it's course... I come back and I have a working network again, yay! Buuuuuuuuut... All my art files between 2019-2021 apparently didn't classify as "personal" enough for my system, and were deleted... :'^)
So, lemme just say for anyone else who ever has computer issues and thinks they need to reinstall...
ALWAYS BACK-UP YOUR FILES TO ANOTHER DRIVE/CLOUD
SOOOOOOOOOO YEAH... Been spending the last few weeks gradually reaching out to artists I'd commissioned in the past and recovering all my art files during that time period, and so far I've been pretty successful in my endeavors! I'd say I've recovered abouuuuut... 75% of what was lost? I still have a few misc. artists I need to contact and a good couple dozen of telegram/discord chats to dig through files that might contain some lost art pieces, but I'm confident I'll be able to recover just about everything!
ALL OF THIS leads me to the real reason y'all are probably here...
SO, with the recovering of my files, I've decided (with a friend's recommendation) to make a Telegram channel to post all my commissions in for back-up storage! And while I'm at it, I figured... "Why not give y'all access to the commissions/pics I get, the moment I get them??" Cause my lazy ass will probably be behind on uploading to here for the rest of my furry days, lol.
With that said, here is a link to my telegram channel where I will post commissions (ideally) as they come in!

Closing Chapter 2021!
Posted 4 years agoHey y'all! Been awhile since the last journal, so figured what better time to dust off the page a little than a new one on the last day of the year!
It's been wild, coming (sort of) out of the pandemic and trying to get back to as close to "normal" as we can. So here is some of my highlights and other things I wanted to catch y'all up/reflect on!
Health:
Covid-19 may not have plagued me personally, but I'm plagued by consequences of it... I got FAT yo, lmao. I mean, okay... It's not -that- bad, but it's definitely not ideal. I'm hoping now that my life has kinda cleaned up abit (you'll see momentarily) I'll feel more motivated to address that. I use to burn off fat pretty easily back when I started swimming before the pandemic, so I'm hoping I've retained that ability still! x> Otherwise, I'm pretty much as healthy as can be, thankful to whatever power is at play for not plucking my string of fate, lol.
School:
I started this year doing remote classes in the Spring semester, only to waltz back into in-person lectures for the Fall semester. Relearning how to learn in a physical environment, coupled with the crippling senioritis settling in was uh... A challenge to be sure! But hey, I (somehow) managed, and as of 3 weeks ago, I've officially graduated with a Bachelor's in Arts, Technology and Emerging Communications, so yayyyyy!! \ovo/
Socials:
I definitely feel like I've phased out from the fandom a bit, especially in the last few months. I guess I can partially pin that on my senior project eating away my time (and soul), but even now I feel... I dunno, disconnected? BEFORE YOU PANIC, no, I'm not leaving or anything, haha, I just mean that I haven't really maintained a "sociable" presence online (if I had one??). I've found that I've confided myself to a few friend groups and rarely stray from them, which while that's fine and perfectly healthy/normal, I DO wanna branch out a little, be a little more receptive to y'all reaching out to me, and conversely doing the same to others whom I find interest in/pull inspiration from! A lotta y'all are pretty cool n' chill peeps, and I just feel like I've shot down a fair amount of y'all solely because I was at a sort of limit to my social bandwidth this past year. I can't promise to immediately rectify this, but I'm hoping with burden of school finally lifted from my shoulders I'll feel a bit more lively online. Hell, maybe even person! There's lotsa places I wanna visit, the sky's the limit, I suppose!
Work:
I was working alongside my remote classes earlier this year, but I quit mid-August and buckled down for my final semester to focus on my senior project/thesis/capstone/whatever you wanna call it! I spoke with my former lead earlier this week, and turns out the office is in the midst of a relocation/expansion, and it looks like I'm set to start again around Jan. 10th! They sound like they're really starting address some of the previous issues of stagnation in positions/educating for new opportunities... I'm not holding my breath entirely, but I'm hopeful I can at least endure it until I find a more suitable job pertaining in (relatively close to) my degree. I have a few options lined up, so who knows, maybe one of those will stick!
Commissions:
Ho lordy, here we go... YES, I'm still DRASTICALLY behind in my backlog of uploading these, but damn it I wanna at least toss -some- words to make the piece more interactable than just slapping in credit to the artist. So yeah, still grossly behind, but I'm working on it (If the last 3 days of posts have been indication of that... Which speaking of, HEY, I just passed 400 submissions, WOW)! That said, I also took an idea from astinky bird friend earlier this year and started using an excel spreadsheet to keep track of, well... Everything! Artist's name, commission date, price amount, tip amount (tip your artists you plebians), completion status, so on and so forth... It's been very helpful... And brutal at the same time! :D Holy FUCK I spent a lot on commissions this year (none of which y'all have even SEEN yet cause my backlog is still into Fall of 2020). This spreadsheet a living testament to my insanity, BUT, it was helpful in getting me to chill the fuck out and reel it in a bit... So much so that I actually was able to do the PC upgrade I've been wanting to do for the past like 3 years... Considering my last build was when the most expensive component was a 256GB SSD... :^)
I think that about wraps things up for me! With the completion of college, I feel like the previous chapter in my life has officially come to a close, and I'm excited to see where the next one takes me! Thanks to everyone who was there to experience this year with me, no matter how big or small the interaction, y'all, this fandom, changed my life for the better, can't thank y'all enough!! 💚

Updated Gallery Folders, PostyBirb & New Look

I've gone ahead and updated the folders for my gallery, decided I've accumulated enough characters (shamefully?) to warrant dividing them appropriately! I've also went ahead and added some "key interest" folders for content that will likely frequent my submissions... :^)
All that aside, I've also set-up a PostyBirb recently and will likely start using that to help keep on top of my uploading! I'm still currently backlogged to about July/August of last year, but hopefully this will catch me up quicker!
Lastly, I'd like to announce that Toumak got a smidge of a makeover recently! Toumak 2.1 is now live!!! And though I won't be uploading the file quite yet, you can sneak a peek at the new look here! (NSFW).

Gradually beating through the backlog
Posted 5 years agoHey folks! Been a little bit since I've posted (well, up until last hour). I have quite a bit of backlog to tear through, some of which dating all the way back to last September, yikes! Got busy with school again and haven't been bothered to keep on top of my commissions, at least until the pandemic hit... I guess that's one good thing that's come of it, eh? MORE BIRD SMUT!!!
Btw, TFF was GREAT!!! Much needed break after slaving away on my 18 credit hours of projects, pretty sure I did 9-10 days straight of 12 hours working on various projects right up to and even during the con. Hope everyone that went had a good time and we were able to meet up at some point! :>

Posted 5 years agoI just noticed that all of my note history between like June and December have just disappeared into thin air!? Some of which were active commissions I have currently in the works, so all the commission information/proof I ever commissioned was lost.
I suggest everyone double-back through your history and make sure you didn't lose anything important, or check in with artists you commissioned before the new year and let them know about this.

dragon8002974 has recently begun undergoing chemo treatment (again) for his cancer he got diagnosed with back in early Summer. I don't want to drown you with information, if you want to learn more, you can find his updates throughout his journal history. What I DO want to do is ask you in helping my help our fellow furry. I told myself I was gonna get myself a credit card and start building credit. Next thing you know I quit my job to go back to school full time, and I don't think any place is gonna approve a college kid for a credit card without a job! x>
SO, I'm making a NEW New Year's Resolution! I want to upload ALL of my backlogged commissions/gifts/etc. before the year's end... I think last I checked it's roughly in the ballpark of 40+ images?.... So uh... I'm kinda feelin' the heat... >v>
Next year's resolution for me is easy, gonna get that stupid ass piece of paper, so what about you guys? Accomplishments? Goals? Let's spread some good vibes! :>

Posted 6 years agoSO, it's been a few months since I've posted a journal, figured I'd give a little slice of Toumak life! x>
I QUIT MY JOB, my last day is actually this friday! For those that didn't know, I've been working as an AutoCAD drafter for a surveying company for about the past 16 or so months. I learned a lot, and I am thankful for the experience I was given, but alas, it's just not what I'm searching for as my career!
As such, that means two things... Maybe three, we'll see cause I'm just spitballing my thoughts here! Firstly, the main reason for quitting is the focus on my studies! I have about 36 or so credit hours left before I can apply for graduation, so I'm gonna drop all distractions and focus on that, wanna be done by the end of 2020! Secondly, with becoming unemployed all currently planned big commission projects are on hold until further notice. I might still be able to squeeze in a few cheap, quick comms here and there, but don't expect anything high-end, I just won't have the budget!
THAT SAID, I still have maaaaaaaany commissions that need uploading! (Pretty sure I have a backlog to like late April, somewhere around 30-40 pics to post) so I will be posting these kinda spread out over the next few months to keep you thirsty phucks quenched! :V
On the brightside, even with taking on a full load of classes for the fall semester, I'm sure I'll still have leaps and bounds more freetime than I did while employed at this office. Who knows, maybe I'll reach out and rekindle spirits with some of you whom I've only spoken to a handful of times!
I think that's it... Oh, my birthday is this weekend on the 11th, yayyyyyy!.... Who cares about someone turning 22 tho?? BORINGGGGG!!!

Back home from BLFC!
Posted 6 years agoHad a pretty good time, though I think I'd rate TFF as a far more enjoyable experience. Could kinda tell the venue doesn't particularly care for us, the overall atmosphere just wasn't as warm and welcoming as I've gotten from TFF or even MFF. Not to mention the elevator situation, good lord, lol.
Anyhow, no more cons for awhile here! Gotta recuperate for several months, ahah! Hope I saw everyone that wanted to see me! We'll resume our standard smut postings shortly! :V
