Had a BUNCH of stuff go on personally and still going on (I hate being an adult BLEH!) all is well though and I am happy C:

I have something possibly in the works >o> I have a couple interested in me painting a nightmare before christmas mural collage thing in their house (possibly 3 walls put together) All I can say is WOW what a HUGE HUGE commission opportunity! I honestly don't even know how to properly price out something like that x.x So I could honestly use some suggestions for that >.>

Other than that I am still trying to pull in more commissions to help me reach the goal of getting my cintiq companion (which I am very close now) Commission progress has been slow because life :V and I can see that life is just going to get much much more busy. *flops*

I am FINALLY getting back into making fursuit stuff! Got some of my supplies out of storage so I have been working on stuff here and there might make some tails to sell and or if anyone is interested in a custom tail please let me know! :) I am working on having my next wolico partial finished by my birthday! I have most of it made I just need to make the head and feet (also a bodysuit later to come).

Ok I will be shipping off the surface pro 3 tomorrow and thankfully I don't have to go back to work till Wednesday! :) so I will be working more on all of the traditional commissions that have been piling up. Ok first off it was super awesome that I received it in the mail earlier than I had expected! ^^

My first personal task was to finish a single piece of art from start to finish. It can be viewed here http://wolicoproductions.com/pictur.....99/category/31

So what did I think about it? Well. It was (and still is) very hard to get use to. I had expected that and its only something I can work out over time. However I do not think that this is the right tablet for me. It's a great piece of equipment that is meant to do a lot of things and it has drawing capabilities but it wasn't specifically made to draw on a professional level. Not saying that is what I got it for but I did get it to specifically draw on it lol. My favorite thing about it is the portability! I love that I can just carry it around and use it whenever and wherever I want (also the battery life is great!) The pen however feels extremely useless to me. With my previous tablet I was able to set my pen buttons to whatever I wanted (personally I like having them set to undo and redo) but the pen buttons on the SP3 are already permanently set so I didn't use them at all. It's really nice but I'm only using like 40% of what it actually does and I just don't think it is worth all of the money I spent on it. It could be better so I plan to return it and get my money back and put all of the money towards a Cintiqu companion. I have almost enough to get it and having the SP3 is just going to hinder me from what I really want. But for now I plan to hold onto it for another week just to draw up some stuff I need for my website.

Would I recommend the surface pro 3 to other artists? Yes if you are looking for a cheaper option it really is a great tablet just keep in mind that when you receive it you may run into some small issues when trying to get your art program to notice your pen pressure. These issues can be resolved by downloading a driver for the pen.

I haven't actually gotten it yet but I have bought it finally! God his was a hard decision to make.. I just hope I made a good choice >.< I have 30 days to decide if I will keep it or not and it will arrive in a week! Also taking that time to finish up my traditional commissions and have them shipped out! Then Work will be slow for a little while (not sure how long but defiantly for a week or so) so I can get a good feel of how working with the surface pro 3 will be like. I will defiantly post some YCHs to get a feel for what doing commission will be like. Hopefully my production time will be quicker because I don't have to worry about using a laptop or my tablet and everything will be right there at ease all of the time. I hope digital art will become less of a chore for me. I mean don't get me wrong I love my digital work but it was always a struggle to get motivated to actually DO anything. Plus sitting there with my equipment for long periods of time would strain my back and shoulder pretty bad to the point that I wouldn't draw for no more than 4 hours at a time. Also I'm pretty lazy and when I have everything right there getting out of the bed is a struggle xD so I would avoid eating or drinking. Getting up was only reserved when I had to use the bathroom lol.

So hopefully this is an awesome good change for me and my art and I hope with the on-screen drawing expirence it will help me improve my style and also help me work on backgrounds and speed paints! C: This is all very exciting for me and the wait is KILLING ME... But I'm sure it will all be worth it! ^^ At least I hope so ;n; I pretty much spent all of my savings on this so I need to build it back up asap! So after I get comfortable and I have made the decision to keep it I will be opening digital commissions back up! (probably in the next month or so)

So long story short come to find out my laptop problems externally are broken hinge(s) and after going to several different computer techs and after several different explinations my internal issues could be cause by my comp overheating so in turn my hardware could be damaged? I am currently having someone look at my computer now to see what might be wrong with it and how much of it can be salvaged for parts. Also he's looking to see how much he would be willing to buy it off of me. I don't even know where else to go or who else would buy a broken laptop so this guy is my only option ATM (thats even if he is willing to buy it) but I feel like he's going to low ball me because I am a woman and I know absolutely nothing about computers.... To get it fixed completely internally and externally (not guaranteeing any future problems that I will have later on) My best offer was 135$ "maximum" with 100% guarantee that it will be in working order when I walk out of the door or I don't have to pay. Sounded like a good deal BUT he gave me the least amount of info out of all of them... Told me that he was going to factory reset it (which I already did myself 2 times and it didn't work AT ALL also have had a few people tell me that will not fix the issues completely just temporarily) So not sure if I should trust this guy or not or even get my computer fixed at all...

So I am coming to the conclusion that I just need to upgrade to something better.. So I went back to my original Idea... Get a surface pro 3! But it's still like $800+ and I am just not ready to drop that kind of money right now... However I did see that Microsoft is coming out with a surface 3 (pre-order is only $499) which is similar to the surface pro 3 but its smaller and meant for more personal use VS the professional use of the surface pro 3. So do I want to get something cheap that will just get me by for another year or so? I can just get a whole new laptop for around the same price. But do I want to be stuck with another laptop??? Ichi also suggested that I just sell it all and wait and save up more money to get the Cintiq compainion so I don't sell myself short on a generic model of what I really want...

So what to do what to do.... I honestly have no idea what to do! Any suggestions here guys? I really REALLY need some opinions here because I keep hitting a brick wall..

Ok I did not want to make another journal about this but I just want to make one last final statement about me and this issue on FA..

I understand that all of my info may not be correct but it does come from a reliable source (a source that can actually post links to reference to what he is talking about).
I understand that art theft has always been a thing and my art is at risk and or has already been stolen.
I understand that my art is STILL not safe. It will never be safe as long as I continue to promote it on any website including my own.
I understand that no matter what I do the only way to protect my art is to register it. Which will probably never happen because I simply can't afford it.
I understand the only people to blame here are those who choose to steal our art in the first place.
I understand mostly about what has to be done in order to fill out a DMCA with IMVU.....

This is why I removed my artwork from everywhere and hosted it on my own website. To protect myself as best as I can while still promoting my work and selling and making a business out of it. Believe me, removing my art was not easy for me. It was really hard to because I did not have everything saved and I did lose some important pictures, memories, and certain comments. It breaks my heart to see FA end out like this. Trust me, I wanted to believe that Dragoneer did a good thing for us. I hoped and was completely oblivious to who I was believing in here.. Trust me, I was hoping he had good intentions. Maybe they were maybe they weren't? Who knows what he real intentions were. Who knows? Time will only tell on this one folks.

My intentions now and my intentions in the future will always be to help and protect my fellow artists<3 Even if I do not know you I am here to lend a helping hand in advice as well as getting your own website put up http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/6601684/

First you must have your work Registered(?)-see toward bottom-
with your local copy right office, your basic "IP right" doesn't apply...

Now, IMVU can't touch the art work thats true, but they can sure as hell force you to pay for the 30-50dollar IP Rights to register your work, Then make you pay for AP just so you can report the stolen artwork (which btw is more money out of the artist wallet)

Also, IMVU has infections, and has a LONG shady history, theirs content that have been stolen on IMVU for "years" that's nothing been done about it , because most people can't even report it due to not having a account + Adult pass (AP) See IMVU's website on the AP part..

Now.. you should totally go check out the ToS on FA that was promised not to be touched/changed, It has recently changed even when NEER said it wouldn't and so did the staff of IMVU also claimed it would not be changed/nor touched, well it was recently edited, Go check.

DMCA isn't as simple as you make it sound, you must be-able to provide proof you own the work, and to do that last time I checked, (I could be wrong here but) You have to have the work 'registered' The rest of what I said holds truth/accurate, in some cases DMCA might be willing to accept watermarks, WIP as proof, they could also choose to request proof of registered copyright.

"Anything you draw is protected by copyright" Wrong.. You get basic IP Right and THATS IT, Please I encourage and beg people to look this stuff up before stating things as facts

- The exclusive rights are, however, not absolute and do not give the creator total control of their works because they are limited by limitations and exceptions to copyright law. -
This is where you'd register your work if you want it to actually hold up in any ground of legal (Whatever mumbo jumbo I'm to tired to explain)

Not quite yet but I am in the beginning process of deleting everything from fa, weasyl and DA except for a couple of choice pics to just have up to reel people into my *drum roll* NEW WEBSITE! Yes folks my ever so awesome cub  spiritwolfie has hooked me up with my own website where I will showcase and display my art :)

And because FA is going to shit more and more by the minuet and I am extremely afraid of art theft and I am not about to have IMVU sell and use my art for their own use to make money off of and stuff... its just not cool. Honestly he should have looked into this before signing :\ or at least get some legal advice on what he is actually doing before signing it like a idiot...

*smh* So what is to come of this? I still stand on my opinion on this. I hope nothing but good comes from this. But I can already see things are starting to fall apart.


Need not worry! I have all of my art backed up and will continue to use FA unless I see there is a problem and or my artwork is at risk. ATM I don't see any issues and unless things change I am here to stay<3 FA is my home and its the only place where I was able to sell my artwork and I have no sucess anywhere else so here is where I am for now. If anything happens I will migrate to weasyl DA and Sofurry eventually. But for now Here is where I am and here is where I will be! Still hoping for the best here! Still preparing for the worst >.<

*clears throat* well uh... This is good. It could be worse >.< After reading Dragoneer's journal I really just hope that they just plan to up the performance of the website nothing more. I did see something mentioned about that the only thing that will be affected is that there will be more frequent IMVU adds.... He says that he still has control of the website but IMVU rules over him so really anything could happen... Oh god... I can just see this going downhill x.x

Any thoughts guys? What should we do? Prepare for the worst or just hope for the best here? :\

IDK what is up with my computer at this point and even though its been like 3 days I have gotten absolutely no where x.x at least thats what it feels like at this point >.< Got a friend helping me out but it feels like no progress is being made x.x I honestly can't tell because again I am not very tech savy.. Just getting really tired of my comp bugging out on me as usual -_- I need to format and restore it again and just wipe it clean of everything AGAIN. As to be expected there will be a 4+ hour long update that it will want to do of course.. So I will not be able to be on my laptop for at least a day/ day and a half. However I still have access to FA and skype and all that on my phone! So if you are trying to get a hold of me (after seeing this journal) it might take me a while xP Sorry guys. Just really tired of this shit not working properly but I guess that is to be expected of all technology...

Getting the Cintiqu companion is kind of out of my reach right now since me and Ichi want to get into our own house. Getting an expensive piece of drawing equipment is not necessary thing right now however it is needed eventually ;n; Hopefully around my birthday something can be arranged :\

However I always keep some kind of protection on it but it seems my problems are from the computer itself.. maybe just faulty equipment IDK. restoring it is the only thing I can think of that will help it run better >.< it kinda worked last time. for the most part xP

The reason that I have nothing to show for it this week is because my store manager asked me to do 2 posters about breast cancer for our work room. Also to add onto that because of Florida's hellish weather lately I haven't been able to have a full night sleep in the last 3 days =_= and I have been saving most of my energy for work. ALSO I managed to bang my head pretty good in the shower yesterday and now I have a small cut above my forehead.... so needless to say its hasn't been the best week for me >.< So on top of that I have to finish up these 2 posters by the beginning of next week and go to work today tomorrow and maybe Sunday now :\ So my entire weekend is filled with no fun bleh!

So I will actually not have any of my art trades done till next week and hopefully next weekend I will be shipping them out to everyone! ^^
I appreciate your patience and I look forward to having all of this done! And getting some sleep would be nice too! :,D
