Happy Thanksgiving
Posted 10 years agoIf you aren't American, than this journal is wasted on you. But it's time once again to remember the things that have helped shape who we are. It's a time to be thankful for the things we have, and how we came to get them. True, once it's over, the holiday rush for the other big holidays will leave it in the dust, but Thanksgiving is still a time to be with the ones you love, learn humility, and other stuff like that.
So, happy Thanksgiving everyone. I hope you have a good one.

R.I.P. Christopher Lee
Posted 10 years agoAll fans of movies may or may not know of the great Christopher Lee, but to those who do know of him, I heard on Facebook that he passed away at the age of 93.
He may be best known for his roll as Sarumon the White Wizard from the Lord of the Rings trilogy, while other fans might know him as Count Dooku from the Star Wars prequels, Episodes II and III to be specific. Which for the record isn't as bad as people say it is.
Even more fans will know him as plenty of other roles, usually that of a villain.
Anyone who's played Kingdom Hearts will know him as Ansem the Wise, or Diz, depending on the game.
Hollywood has lost another great actor, and it will be hard to recover or replace him.

What is the deal with DA today?
Posted 10 years agoI have had the most rotten luck today. First, I had trouble unlocking the DLC for Mewtwo in Smash. For some reason my Wii-U wouldn't get as far as I needed it to to download it, and then my 3DS wouldn't connect to the eShop at all. So, I was not able to get the DLC I wanted due to technical trouble.
And now DA won't freaking work for me either because whenever I go to try and check my messages, it keeps logging me out when I DON'T TELL IT TO! Needless to say, I'm not a very happy person right now. I don't know why this is going on, but I hope the problem gets fixed soon, BECAUSE I'M PULLING MY HAIR OUT AT THIS POINT!!
I FREAKING HATE MURPHY'S LAW SOMETIMES!!

The Dragon Pearl
Posted 10 years agoI bought a DVD from my local Dollar Tree of all places of a movie called The Dragon Pearl.
When I finally decided to get it out and watch it to see if it's any good, I can't find it. So I did the next best thing and found it streaming on Netflix, and what did I think of it?
Well, in all honesty, it didn't blow me away. The plot was good, the characters were believable, the special effects were alright, and overall, it was an enjoyable movie. However, it isn't groundbreaking.
It is a Chinese movie with a Chinese dragon as the central focus of the plot. While I did like the movie, I feel it just falls short of how great it could have been.
It's a very average movie with average set pieces. I feel a lot of the elements of the plot have been done better in other movies, but this one wasn't so bad that I just wasted an hour and a half of my life.
So, for that reason, Dragon Pearl gets a 6/10 from me.
It just didn't have a lot of the charm that over movies within the genre have, however, it's not the worst movie ever made. It is still worth a watch.

Posted 10 years agoYea, I haven't been updating FA as often as DA, and I realize this. It's just I've got a lot of other real life crap going on in my life that it's hard to find the motivation to post things here on FA.
I'm not closing this account though because I do appreciate the support from my friends, but even still.
For anyone else who is interested, I am on Facebook as well. I don't know how often I will update my profile there either, but I do check it every day, so until I post something new here, farewell.

Happy Holidays
Posted 10 years agoDragonTrain Studios wishes you a fun and safe holiday season. Regardless of which holiday you celebrate, the message and meaning behind them is all the same: Spending time with your friends, family, and in some cases, co-workers after a hard year of working round the clock. It's a time for giving back.
The holidays should never be about the quantity of gifts or how much it cost, but the thought and/or act of giving the gift is the min thing.
Whatever holiday you celebrate, I hope you make it a good one.

DA is being a PAIN IN THE ASS!!
Posted 11 years agoI normally don't swear, but this is F**KING ridiculous.
I have been trying for the last hour to check my messages with DA, ad for some reason, they just will not come up. I get to the message page, but it's entirely blank. I can't see the messages. I can't even edit my journals to vent my frustration with the problem.
I ran the CCleaner, and that didn't do any good.
Just UGH.
It wasn't doing this earlier today, so there's no reason for it to be doing it now, but this just pisses me off, and I hope they fix it soon, because that is BULLSHIT!!

First day of School
Posted 11 years agoWell, more like the first two days of school.
I gotta say that they have been very up and down so far. For starters, I have had a nightmare with the computer system on campus. I finally got it sorted out, but it drove me crazy. I really am thankful for the good tech support on the campus, who were able to help me. Otherwise I would be a lot worse off. Other than that, my first few days have gone pretty well. I'm back in my fencing class, so I'm very happy with that, because I have a lot fun with swordplay, and other stuff like that.
The two required classes I'm taking are hopefully going to be a little easier this time around. I've had to take them both three times, so I would like some help if available. If anyone has Skype and knows a lot about college level American Politics and Intro to Information Technologies, then I would be glad to accept a contact request via Skype, Steam, etc.
That is all.

How to Train Your Dragon 2
Posted 11 years agoI went and saw the new How to Train Your Dragon at my local drive-in with my older brother and my best friend, and I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT!!
It may be the dragon lover in me talking, but I can honestly say without a doubt that this movie is a worthy sequel to its predecessor.
I don't want to spoil anything, but if you like dragons, or you love good storytelling, then I highly recommend you give this movie a look.
It introduced new types of dragons, new designs for said dragons, and new characters to get to know over the course of the story.
So in conclusion, Dragons did a lot of things better than the original did, and it still held the charm to boot.
Toothless was still just as entertaining as he was in the first one.
That's enough out of me. This movie gets an 8/10 from me.

I may not update FA often.
Posted 11 years agoI just don't have much interest in FA because of its more mature theme. That doesn't mean that I don't enjoy posting my stuff here though. In fact, I will still be checking and updating FA at regular intervals, or at the very least when I'm getting bored with DA.
Sometimes I like seeing more mature things.
With that said, I am still available to RP with anyone who wants to RP with me, but please discuss the scenario with me first. That way I'll have a better understanding as to what you want to do, so that I may react accordingly.
The RP can center around anything, within reason. Look at the rules on my main page for more details and let me know if you are interested.
Thank you.

I am back.
Posted 11 years agoYea, I've had a lot of trouble with this site in the past, mostly due to a fellow user who, if I'm completely honest, completely destroyed my interest in said person because of his/her attitude towards me.
I do not know if I will be using this account a lot, but I will check in now and this.
I will use this site for the same purpose I've been using DA for: My custom characters, stories, RPs ect, and the rules I have on DA will also apply here. So if you also watch me on DA, please, continue to do so, as I do appreciate your support.
Thank you for the friends, and thank you for welcoming me back FA.

Changing Avatar
Posted 14 years agoFor some reason, I'm having trouble uploading and Avatar. I know the one I want to use, but when I try to upload it, my machine will freeze. I don't know what the problem is or why it's happening, but whatever is going on, it's pissing me off.
If anyone can help me, please help me.
*Sigh* This is why I prefer DA over FA. The Avatar was so much easier to set, here it seems to be a nightmare.

Spyro OC Commissions
Posted 14 years agoWell, since I can't figure out a way to close this account, I may as well just deal with it.
So, I'll get right down to business.
I have my own Spyro the Dragon OC. His name is Smolder, and he is the adopted son of Spyro and Cynder.
Technically I just picked up a statue in Sacramento and named it Smolder, and the story came from that.
http://trainman666.deviantart.com/g.....lery/#/d3c2wby.
The rest of the back story I have made up for this character is also in the description.
I would like to see some artwork by other people of this character, so if you are interested please notify me either through DA, or this site.
I do have rules though: Rule #1: NO SEX, NO VORE, NO GORE, AND NO BLOOD, AND ESPECIALLY NO DEATH! I just want a basic model for now. I may decide to allow those things in the future.
RULE 2: I MUST be notified before anyone takes part in this, and I MUST be notified when it is completed so I can give feedback on whether I like it or not.
RULE 3: If you have your own OC, and want to include him in the artwork, you may. Also you MUST give me credit for Smolder. You may also draw him in any pose you want, within reason of course.
Anyone can participate in this activity, and you may do this as many times as you want.
For the purpose of this, I would like the pictures to be posted on DA, because I don't know how often I will check this site.
With that said, feel free to start drawing Smolder.
