[VERY IMPORTANT] Update on the Inflatable Skunk... FINALLY!
Posted 6 years agoHello everyone!
I would first like to thank everyone's continued interest in the Skunk run and especially for all of your patience.
I am pleased to say that a few days ago, I got a response from Susanne and Matthias from InflatableWorld.de that they've just started working on the skunk project, and that they have just finished the first prototype!
The reason for the extra long delay is because there were some quality issues with the previous manufacturers and that IW had just switched to a new manufacturer and are still in the process of making negotiations with them. I don't want to upload photos of the prototype because it is still in development and I want it to resemble the original skunk as much as possible before showing them.
But rest assured, the V2.0 Skunks are well on the way now. I can't confirm exactly when the prototype will be finalized or when the actual Skunks start getting made, but according to IW... they hope to put them in production by the end of THIS year, so fingers crossed!
Cheers, and I hope to keep everyone up-to-date!

The New Manufacturer for the Inflatable Skunk...
Posted 7 years agoHi everyone!
I just want to apologize for the inactivity on this page and for not providing any news regarding the Inflatable Skunk project. I've been getting questions from many people asking about the project on when it's going to start, are they gonna be made by Jets, etc. and tried to answer as many questions without leaving too many people in the dark.
I was hoping that production would start by the end of last year but unfortunately, this new manufacturer can only take a limited number of runs at a time.
I didn't want to disclose the next manufacturer to the public in case I get any complaints because of it. Though I've decided that I am going to tell you right now who will be making the Skunks and why.
The new manufacturer of the Pouncing Skunk will be made by InflatableWorld(dot)de and for the following reasons:
1). Many of my customers (including myself) have been experiencing some problems with the JetCreations run. The problems are, black ink sheds off over time (especially folding causes streaks in the paint), leaving an ugly white streak. Problems with seams, various leaks (especially under the belly) which usually spring when riding. I needed to reinforce my Skunk just so I can ride him. And lastly, some seams have not been properly welded.
2). I can't do these runs by myself, it was very tiring for me to manage all those invoices, replying to enquiry's etc. and just to make sure that everybody got their Skunk safe and sound and in one piece. I don't want it to be managed by PuffyPaws of G&G as they only sell products by pre-orders and would rather have them always available (which is why I prefer Inflatable World's strategy).
and 3). IW toys are generally more reliable and are more robust than Jets toys. I know that Jets' vinyl tends to be a lot firmer than IW's toys, which probably explains why they are more prone to leaks. I've owned numerous IW toys and from my experience. I've NEVER encountered a problem with their toys. They're a lot more flexible and can take pressure and abuse a lot better than with the Jets toys.
It is also worth noting that IW is more of a ballpark for ride-on toys, whereas Jets are more meant to be decoration items rather than toys.
And for that reason alone, is why I much prefer IW to make the Skunks than any other company.
I know that the earlier IW toys (such as the 3M Whale when they first came out) had problems with leaking due to the pinched seams, but they've improved so much over the years that it isn't something that should concern you.
Either way, I hope you find this informative and hope to shed some light on the whole project, and hope that you will end up buying one of IW's Skunks once they're released to the public!
They plan to start working on the prototype for the Skunk for the first half of this year, so fingers crossed! And be patient.
Cheers!

Inflatable Skunk [UPDATE] - Unfortunate Delays...
Posted 8 years agoHi everyone!
Just letting you know that I had to go to Hospital a couple of months back due to kidney stones. As a result, I won't be able to run the 'beta-testing' phase and instead, will be testing a blank for myself, I might also share it with furs within my hometown (Melbourne) to get a balanced review.
I apologize for this, but I can assure you that the final production of the Skunk will still proceed as planned, by the end of the year.
I'm still recovering from the ordeal and so I won't have the time and energy to run beta-testing.
Thanks for your understanding!

Considering a re-run of the Skunk...
Posted 10 years agoHey all!
I'm currently thinking about doing another run of the Skunk. Considering how many people like it, and that a lot of those people missed out on it, I think it may be a better idea to do another run of it, rather than the Sheep project.
If I'm quite honest, I prefer the Skunk over the Sheep, the sheep just doesn't like cute enough with it's small and pointed eyes proportional to the body.
I don't have a confirmation yet, and try not to hold your breath over it, but I'd say more work will probably be put into it by the end of the year, I'd say.
So stay tuned!

Composing Inflatables - Sheep Project Postponed
Posted 10 years agoTo all those concerned,
I have released information regarding my next project, the 6 foot Big-Horned Sheep, and has had pre-orders opened for a month now. Hoping that it will get the minimum quantity of 25 in order for the project to start, unfortunately... it was unsuccessful.
Due to the other inflatable projects that were taking place, not enough interest has been generated for the Sheep, and I'm afraid I'll have to put it on hold, indefinitely. I am sincerely sorry for letting you all down.
The reason WHY I had the project up at such an unusual time is because I wanted to get the project done in time for the Chinese New Year theme, the Year of the Sheep. You could say that my rush with getting the project underway is how the project was released without much thought about current situations regarding custom inflatables.
Although I'm a bit too late in getting it made in time for the new year, perhaps if I still get it done sometime later this year, I could still retain the legacy of the occasion.
Either way, I can't really tell for sure at this point in time.
Once again, I am terribly sorry for the abrupt end to it, and for letting any potential customers down. I'll still leave any orders that you placed on file in case you still decide to stick to it. But if not, then let me know via email and I'll remove the order for you.
In case anyone's wondering, a total of 11 sheep have been ordered. The minimum is 25.
Yours sincerely!

Off-Topic: Filmed Lightning Strike VERY close to me.
Posted 10 years agoKolichi Frusuit: Looking for concept artists
Posted 11 years agoHey everyone!
Just mentioning that I'm currently planning on getting a fursuit made for my partner based of this guy: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14251888/
And I'm just wandering if you have any advice on which artists I should look for. I'd like the similar quality of work produced by NeonSlushie and DID actually ask her about it. But unfortunately, because she's so busy and has a large queue she wouldn't be able to tend to my request.
Of course I'm still on the lookout for artists that I like, but is asking the community regardless to give me experienced recommendations and along with a bit of advice in general.
So if you have any suggestions, or someone to refer me to... I'm ALL ears!
Cheers!

Just came back from New Zealand!
Posted 11 years agoHey everyone!
Today I just arrived back in Melbourne after a 2 week holiday in New Zealand to visit family and relatives!
I first went to Christchurch to visit my father and see how life is going for him, as he's a painter and has moved to Cch after those earthquakes to paint the rebuilt buildings. It's a lovely city and ALOT has changed after the earthquake. And I took many pictures and films of the various things there.
I then went to Auckland and stayed there for a week as most of my other family lives there, as well as seeing all the changes other the decade (as I was born there). I played on one of the largest pipe organs in the city, and has made plenty of videos and pictures of it.
Then, I went back to Christchurch for the weekend and took a scenic train across the southern alps to Greymouth, it was a spectacular journey and took many photos and films there!
And left Christchurch heading back to Melbourne arriving earlier this morning. I'm intending to make a short film on my trip and might share it if you feel like taking a look.
It was certainly a memorable and inspirational trip (being in Christchurch for the first time) and exploring the Main Land (South Island), certainly against all the odds (my poor state of health).
I'll be putting up photos and videos soon so stay tuned if you're interested!

Switching accounts: Change of plan...
Posted 11 years agoI've decided that instead of removing every trace of this account and converting it over to my new one that I'm just going to keep this account running.
But is only going to be like a personal one and any inflatable related things shall remain here. As my new account is where all my compositions and commissioned artwork would go, keeping them separate is probably the best idea.
So without further ado... I will remove the closed status message on here and that the account will remain open.
Cheers!

Inflatable Skunk: Delay with the customs...
Posted 11 years agoDear everyone,
For many who've been waiting to get their prized Skunks have noticed that there's been a really long wait in receiving them and with no sense of information and communication whatsoever, I really appreciate you all for putting the annoyance and disappointment aside and staying on the boat-of-patience.
It's been 2 weeks now since Jet's estimated time of arrival (and although you can't take an ETA for granted), and not even their generous waiting time for the pallet to get to their warehouse is enough in what they're going through now...
I was told by Jet's early this Saturday that 'due to unforeseen circumstances, the clearance from customs (as well as it's relevant taxes/duties) was mistaken with a different shipment entirely different from ours and is currently being rectified' (which would explain the long wait).
Which was all the light they've shed on this to me now, but at least is reassuring in essence. So they're currently waiting on receiving the payments they've made regarding duties and is waiting for a fresh waybill.
I hope you understand and this sheds some light for yourselves too.
Cheers and thanks for being patient!

Inflatable Skunk: Ship Docking
Posted 11 years agoHey everyone!
Just a short update that the ship is on time and will dock at Baltimore (east of America instead of the west) this weekend.
So no early arrivals nor delays. Customs are currently being dealt with to ensure timely unloading and delivery to the Warehouse. So the pallet should arrive at Jet's by the end of next week.
Cheers and thanks for being extra patient! :)

So Jets should receive the pallet by the 17th (of July).

Inflatable Skunk: Important Shipping Announcement!
Posted 11 years agoDear everyone,
I'm pleased to announce that the pallet of Skunks for the rest of the Skunk Customers residing in America and Europe is now on a ship that left China a couple weeks ago and should arrive on the west coast of America sometime during early-July.
Then followed by a week or so on unloading the pallet and then sending it over to Jets' warehouse which is located in Virginia (east coast of America). So you can expect the deliveries to take place by the end of July.
On the other hand, I have important news for those who's address may've changed or has a differing postal address from the billing one;
Please note that I WILL NOT allow any changes to the address after the 25th of June, 2014. Since by then, I am due to send Jets the FINAL address book to ensure the order details to the Couriers.
If you have already submitted the changes to me, then you don't need to do anything on your side, if you haven't though, please let me know as soon as you can.
How will this affect my awaiting shipping invoice may I ask?:
Those who've already submitted the change to me will have to wait till the 25th where I receive the update shipping slip from Jets BEFORE I can send you the invoice. So you still have about 2 weeks to wait I'm afraid.
NOTE: This does not apply to those who have already paid for the invoices and cannot make any changes in the mean time, sorry.
Any additional concerns/notes such as delivery instructions, invoice details (i.e. as a gift) and such are to be provided in your message and will have them noted down.
Anyways, I hope you'll purge past the long wait!

On the other hand, I have important news for those who's address may've changed or has a differing postal address from the billing one;

Inflatable Pouncing Skunk: Shipping
Posted 11 years agoHey everyone!
It's been a long time since I last posted here (I don't post on here that often), production of the Skunks have been finished, and are now ready to ship to Jets' warehouse in Virginia, and then forwarded to the rest (American and European) of the Customers.
I will be sending verification emails to everyone to ensure that their address is correct so the Skunks will be delivered to the right hands. Following a shipping invoice shortly afterwards, so be ready for that! ;)
Best Regards!

Inflatable Pouncing Skunk: Final Sample Finished!
Posted 11 years agoGreat news everybody!
I'm pleased to announce that the final sample is now finished and production of the Orders are about to commence.
The pics can be shown in my gallery. I'm SOOO happy that this big and soft Skunky came to reality, the Skunk is such an underrated Animal to have a toy made of, and made the decision some 4 years ago that I want to join that league. It most certainly paid all of that hard work and patience off. :)
Cheers and have a good one! :)

Inflatable Pouncing Skunk: Change of Plan...
Posted 11 years agoHello everyone! And sorry to break this to you,
But I've decided that I'll be closing Pre-orders Now as the quantity hit the 50 mark, and is going to pay Jets soon.
The reason for this abrupt end is that I wouldn't want to confuse Jets so much if the quantity changes/increases in the mean time. The Order Form will state that Pre-orders are closed and any new entries to the Order Form will be rejected with a email sent to their address.
Sorry for the inconvenience and hope you understand.
Best Regards.
