I swear, my cat is pretty much a shadow of my shadow.
She goes wherever I go, steps wherever I step, and she likes to hang out at the places that I park myself at.
I'm at the computer, she's sitting on a chair next to my desk. I'm eating, she's also eating from her dish next to the table. I go into the bathroom, she follows me and jumps onto the sink. I go to sleep at night, she hops on the bed and sleeps on my feet...
It's really cute, but sometimes it can get annoying: she likes to run between my legs when I'm walking, it's hard to get her out of the bathroom when I need privacy, and she waits outside my door every morning until I come out of my room.

She likes walking around the house with me, she rubs her tail against my legs and look ahead of us. I wonder if she thinks she's looking out for us?

I'm not sure why I made this journal, I guess I'm just worried, is this normal behavior for a cat? I ask because my previous cat was the polar opposite, she avoided us unless she was bored or lonely, she hated being on my bed, and she walked around the house in this nonchalant, aloof manner.
Sure, my current cat is older and I think she's pregnant, but I think she has always been really clingy to me since I got her. I think I've won her over with all the food and petting I've given her. xD

That's right, today is (was?) my B-day. I'm officially 22 years old now, and none the wiser, for better or for worse.

First and foremost, I am closing requests indefinitely. That's right, I'm not doing free art as of right now until a later date, when I can be arsed to give a darn.
Really, requests are a thankless way of using artists for cheap labor and free arts. I really don't wanna deal with that right now, so I'm keeping it commissions and trades only for now.

I know nobody cares, but I guess I'm back. Forgive me for being away for so long. I'm a horrible person for doing that.
I've hit another bump, I'm feeling down lately, like it's not worth it to keep trying.
Not thinking of quitting, I'm no quitter. But at the same time, I wonder if it's worth it? Will I ever be good at drawing? Or will I continue to fail miserably at it?
I know you're all sick of me acting like this, and I'm sorry for that too. I said I'd stop, but I get so depressed sometimes.
Hopefully, it'll go away eventually, but in the meantime... Try to bear with me and my negativeness. And my crappy doodles.

On another note, I've been having strange dreams lately. Well, not lately, I've been having them all my life, but I've been dreaming the same thing much more frequently these last few weeks.

In my dreams, things are happening all around me, and I feel left behind, somehow. Suddenly, my teeth start falling off, one by one.
I try to hold on to them, try to keep my mouth closed shut, but I can feel them just coming unglued off my gums. I can almost feel the nerves tearing, I catch them and try to put them back in my mouth, but I can't. I keep dropping them, and I lose them eventually. And then I don't have any more teeth, and I feel embarrassed for some reason.
The first time I started having the dreams a couple years ago, I was bewildered and terrified, even after I woke up. But lately, I'm strangely getting used to them.
I'm my dream, I'm kind of accepting of my loss of teeth, and even go "there we go again" and move on to other dream stuff... It's weird.

I wonder what it all means. Those dreams, and my recent acceptance of them. I wonder why I keep dreaming the same thing frequently.

I'm kinda sorry that I haven't been uploading stuff, and an extra apology to the people to whom I owe commissions and requests... I've been busier than I would have liked recently. Also lazy. But mostly busy.

Let me go ahead and wish you happy holidays right now, because I won't be around a computer until the 26th. I'm going to my grandmother's house to celebrate with my family, and there's absolutely no computer access over there. I'm dusting off my PS2 to take it with me, and a book to read, and my sketchbook to doodle the time away.

It's over, guys. False alarm.

We went to the authorities, and after some investigation, they found out that the "gangsters" that almost extorted us aren't even in this country.
Yep, they traced the calls to a public phone in Honduras or something, which only explains that they got our number randomly via the phone directory.
Apparently, this is a regular thing. It just hadn't happened to us before. Con men get your phone number randomly out of the phone book and try to muscle money, goods or favors out of you. Some have a little more tact than the ones who targeted us, but the idea is the same. Trick you into putting money into a bank account, or go out and buy them some phone cards, or put bags of money somewhere.
They don't even have to be in a gang, they just put up the gangster guise to make it easier to intimidate you.
And I totally fell for it.

I'm terribly sorry to have raised such a fuss, but I was completely terrified. I was scared for my family, my life, my possessions... I just didn't think straight and I ended up with my feather ruffled.
The idea of them being a part of a bloody, violent and relentless criminal organization didn't calm me, either... But we are all better now.
We're still careful about who we talk to and give our new phone number, though. You can never dismiss anything.

Well, it's been a good run. I went to school, made a bunch of friends, went to college and had a good time.
I learned how to draw, showed my drawings to the internet and made many more friends here...
But now, I'm going to get either kidnapped and shot in the head or maybe I'll be another drive by victim.

An hour ago, we received a phone call. They wanted to talk with my father. Since he's not home, I had to receive the call.
It was a guy with some manner of gangster dialect. He asked if this number was my father's home number, and if the address was correct. I say yes.
He said his name was "Sergio Mendez" (hah hah), and that he was part of our local crime syndicate, the "mara salvatrucha".
They specialize in extortion, burglary, arms and drug dealing and other acts of crime. They also have a fame of harshly dealing with those who oppose them or refuse to give them money. Most of the time, bloodily.

Anyways, he then proceeded to feed me some half assed cliched "it's not your fault, we have nothing against you, but you have to give us some money or else" speech.
He said that he wanted us to "contribute" with five hundred (500) dollars to their cause. I was all like "huh? what?". He repeated his demand.
When I showed no sign of knowing what the hell was going on, he put a different man on the phone. He sounded way gruffer, meaner and to the point than the first dude. He asked what the hell was wrong with me, why didn't I want to give them money, and if I knew who I was messing with. I panicked.
I entered a state of utter terror. I began trembling and shaking, I could only say "uh huh" and "bueno" to the guy.
When I collected myself for a second, I told him that I had no mention on the houses' finances, and that I had to speak with my dad first.
He asked me when he could call again to settle the thing. I told him to call again in half an hour, then I hung up.

I inmediately called my father. He told me to stay calm and to not pick up the phone for any reason. Then my step mother called me, and repeated the warning.
... The phone has been ringing non stop for the last half hour. It's the same number from the men, it shows up as the same in the caller id. I'm afraid to look outside, I'm afraid to leave my room. I'm too scared to move.

I'm dead, guys. I'm toast. I'm so totally dead.

... If I suddenly stop updating this page... You know what has happened to me.

Hey, guys. Long time no journal. It's pretty much because nothing noteworthy has happened in my life... Until this weekend.

First awesome thing happened yesterday, we went to an international fair thinguie that our country's ministry of tourism holds once a year. There were expos from all over the world, the US, Europe and Asia. We checked them out and ate a bunch of sweets. I even got myself a cute little sponge-like toy ball that shines when you move it around. It's awesome.

Today was even better, only because I got a new cat! We went out to the countryside to check out a plot of land that one of my aunts has acquired over there, and we ran into Sparkle's (my old cat) mother. My mom took her out there so she could have as many kittens as she wanted. There's a cute little family over there that's taking care of the land plot and the cat.
The cat had a litter a couple months back, so I chose the cutest kitty of them all and took her back home with me.

She's white with some black and brown spots on her. Her left eye is green and the right one is a beautiful blue. She's adorable! I'll have to take some pictures of her to show you.
We call her "Manchita"... It means "little marking" or "little spot" in Spanish. Trust me, it sounds much better in Spanish. :3

Anyways, I think that's it. I do believe that I deserve to give myself a promotion now!

First of all, commissions are currently on hiatus. I'm having a bit of trouble with the way I receive payment for the commissions that I do, so until I can figure it out, they will be frozen. Also, they will be closed until I can resolve the problem.

Secondly, you may or may not know that I lost my cat almost two weeks ago. She left the house and never came back.
Well, I'm better now, and I'm dealing with the fact that she's gone pretty well. I had grown very attached to the girl, eight months of coexisting with someone, regardless of species, conveys some sort of emotional and psychological attachment... But I'm coping well.
I dunno if I'll ever get another pet cat, but I'm more than certain I will have a pet dog sometime this decade. Or the next one. Father hates dogs.

Sigh... I still get a little teary eyed when I see the photos I took of Sparkle when she was a kitten. It's lonely here without her.

Hey, all. You might be wondering what's up with me not uploading anything lately... Well, I've been kinda sad.
First, I'm not doing too well in college these days. I've been lazy, irresponsible and immature, which is causing me to fail a number of classes. I am not proud of myself, and I must strive to change this about me.

Second, my grandma has been a little sickly lately. Between physical pains and old age depression, she has been one of my motives for sadness. She says she's okay, but I still worry so.

And lastly, the major reason of my distraught, is that my cat, Sparkle, has been missing for three days now,
Sure, sure. Cats leave home and come back whenever and however they want, but three days is an awful lot of time to be gone, especially for her. The most she has ever been away from home is 6 hours to a day. So you can see how worried I am.

What's killing me is the uncertainty. Is she okay? Is she hurt or sick? Does one of my neighbors have her in their house? Does she even WANT to come back to me?
Is she dead?

I love my kitty, and I want her to come back now...

I honestly hadn't hear anything about that until a couple hours ago, when a friend told me that he watched it and is now traumatized because of it.
It's kinda weird that FA isn't on DEFCON 1 knowing that something like this happened. One would imagine that this would be the crusade that furries and animal rights activists alike have been preparing for during all these years.

I normally don't care for things like this, but c'mon. Some chick throwing puppies into a river and enjoying it while some other freak films it? That's the road that most serials killers take before they get down to business.

We have to raise awareness about this kinda thing.
It's obvious that all the knuckleheads involved in this atrocity are in it for the popularity it will bring them. We all hope they get it, along with a fine, a prison sentence and a slap in the wrist.

I've been playing with the idea of buying TF2 for a long time now.
The only things holding me back, are the price (c'mon 20 bucks are better spent on important stuff), and the fact that I'm not good at first person shooters or online games.

Still, I hear that it's a very active game after all this time, and this it's fun, too. So I don't know.
Maybe if some of you guys play it, maybe you could teach me how to play and show me the ropes?
I'm a FPS n00b, and I suck at team games, but I could be good at them with the proper coaching.

So... Should I take a plummet of faith and buy the blasted thing?

I've had some experience with MMO games in the past, be them RPG, FPS, or anything else.
American or Asian, free or paid, all that jazz.
But to this day, I've never found an MMO game that's truly satisfying.

Cash shops don't bother me, I know you don't have to spend anything to enjoy the game... Sometimes. But most of the time, you're free-to-play, but you've got to pay-to-have-fun.
Even if your character has pink hair, star-shaped sunglasses, a fruity magic wand and a fairy having sex with a pig as your pet; you still look like a lifeless loser on an online game, except you threw away money to look like an actual loser.

Communities are a big factor, but I solo most of the time, so meh. Joining guilds just gives people another window to receive ass pats and throwing shit fits if you don't love every single bit of bull that they spit out. They're also always full of hipsters with no sense of humor. ALWAYS.

I don't care if customization is nil, either. Even if your character has blue hair, a giant fruity sword and 3 pets following you around, it's you I have to deal with, not your avatar.

So that boils it down to the gameplay. Click on something, push some number keys randomly, reply to some IMs sometimes, spend 50 dollars on some magical elf semen to upgrade your weapon, BREAK your weapon and LOSE the magical elf semen, level up, repeat ad nauseam.

FPS games? Shoot someone until they die, get yelled at for using hacks even if you're not, get yelled at because you suck at the game even if you don't, get owned by some Asian dude who actually IS using hacks, be forced to play with people whose voice sounds like a cat raping a blender and sit next to giant fans, lose the game because your team sucks. Repeat ad nauseam.

So tell me, FA. Tell me now, or forever hold your peace. Do "good" MMO games actually exist? (Pardon the oxymoron.)

But it's also quite funny, and it sums up pretty well the kind of bewildering that we generate.
Who in their right mind would do the things we do, draw the things we draw, and be proud enough of who we are to show it to normal people? It boggles the mind.

PS: I'm ashamed to admit that I actually like all the pieces they showcase in that video. It must be proof that I'm slowly but surely sinking into the slimy, dreaded pit of furdom.
